I downloaded this dlc a few days ago and boy am i pleased. After playing FFPW MotR i had an idea of how to play this mode. I love that they changed somethings but it's mostly all still the same. Alot of the gripes i have with this mode have already been stated a bunch of times so i'll just go some of my favorite things so far
-Love the new spike edits. And yes we can all agree they need to make a way to let us transfer them from mode to mode. Particularly KAGAMI. Dude most always averages between 90-100% and is the runaway star of my promotion
-This mode took me a while to get the hang of but once i got my stride in year 2 i was the top company in America.
-They don't make expansion easy. It took me 3 years to get a decent crowd in Japan. Thanks to a cross promotional show with BME
-Love that they let you play this mode your way from the get go. Once my personal edits are ready i'm gonna restart on hard.
-That i can make a fortune off T-shirts and towels alone

-That i can make a fortune off T-shirts and towels alone Hell yeah 😁 Glad that you are enjoying the mode and I totally agree with how cool it is that they give you so much freedom to book the way that you want and focus on who you want 😎

I took a little bit of a break from Fire Promoter but have slowly gotten back into it.
I'm ranked 2 and in Year 5. My goal this year is to improve my rankings in the other regions.
Right now I'm S/A/A/D and probably like one successful show away from that second "A" turning into an "S."
Two things I've noticed:
1) For the life of me, I just can't get ANY free agents to appear from the European region. I have now sent scouts about 50 times for every style (including "Freestyle") in Europe and continue to send my wrestlers on Training Expeditions there hoping that they'll make a friend or two. That has worked for the Japan and Mexico region but not for Europe. The thing is, I know the Expeditions are being recognized cause the wrestlers I send have increased popularity in Europe. But no free agents are appearing at all. I have started running shows in Europe but it's hard to get a big audience.
2) I have noticed that "no shows" have reduced dramatically as my promotion has increased in popularity. Last night I ran a show with about 5-6 Free Agents from Japan. In the past, anywhere from 2-3 to all of them would no-show each time I tried to start the show. But everyone decided to appear. I'm guessing this is either a "region popularity" thing or a "overall popularity" thing given my #2 ranking. I hope it continues cause the only thing I hate more than no-shows are those ambiguous reasons why.
Really hoping to take SWA's #1 spot at the end of the year. Improved ranking should help but they have so much damn money that its hard to catch up. If I want to build my popularity across the other regions, I have to accept smaller gate totals. As easy as it would be to continue to put on massive shows in my "S" region (Saji: "That's what she said!"), it won't help me in the other regions, especially Europe. I'm hoping I can finish the year with S/S/A/C and a $60-70 million bank. I also need to do a higher ratio of wrestlers with good rankings: overall roster. I have about 10 that are really well positioned but then a lot of them are like D/D/D/D or C in just one region. I'm worried that cutting too many of them will hurt my overall roster morale (as it says in the "Help" menu) so I just keep sending them on Training Expeditions to Europe. They don't seem to mind the free European vacations though since they aren't quitting 😁

How many edits do you have who have their location set to a European country? Like 99% of downloaded wrestlers are from America, Mexico or Japan so unless you’ve made loads of other edits and made sure to include them then maybe there is simply no one else to scout?
There is the gym setting that increases your chance of getting successful scouting trips. Lounge? Rec Room? I can’t quite remember :(

Since I did the "money unlock cheat", most of my own edits are already on my roster and aren't waiting to be found. But 90% of them are from either America or Japan anyway. There are so many Spike-created wrestlers from America, Mexico, and Japan though so I don't get why there aren't any from Europe. Have I just not found them or did Spike actually not make any? LOL. There is the gym setting that increases your chance of getting successful scouting trips. Lounge? Rec Room? I can’t quite remember :( Good call about the gym setting! I don't remember which one either but yeah, one of them helps scouting trips. I'll look into that later tonight and build to the next level. My gym is okay but is definitely another place where I have room to increase my overall ranking.

Apologies for bumping this one but got this and am on year 4 with a couple questions:
I started with 6 of my own edits. Have since made several more, but none of them have shown up as free agents or anything so I've just been signing cheap free agents here and there. To get more of my own creations to show up is it Just a matter of patience, or do I have to start promoter again or do some more editing to have them gradually appear?
Plus side: my 6 core guys are workhorses and I'm averaging 89% on my cards, with my champion (lowest stats of the 6) having been undefeated in title matches for almost 2 years.

You have to add any new characters to your fire promoter save then they need to be discovered through a scout, be scouted by another promotion, or found when one of your wrestlers befriends them on a training expedition. I’m 7 years in and still waiting for people to show in the free agent pool. You may want to start over and pick them in your starting roster if you’re set on having them.

I hope I'm posting this in the right section.
I know I'm late to the table but I wanted to chime in on a topic a lot of people were disappointed with: The lack of ability to use custom creations in Fire Promoter. It's surely a bummer to not be able to use custom belts and rings or edit existing belts and rings in the mode but I also get why it wasn't implemented. Being a financial based mode you have to buy things to make your promotion attractive hence buying sponsorship logos to put on your ring. At the same time, I feel Spike could rectify their decision to make everyone happy: allow us to spend our promoter currency to buy our custom belts and rings to use in Fire Promoter. Just like in real life belts, rings and signs cost promotions money. It would be a good solution to allow us to immerse our fantasies in the game.
