Wow, I guess Bak Fu started dropping people on their heads in 2001 on the GBA. I need to make a version of him with a gut and a flat, pancake ass that moves at half speed! š
Never thought about this until now, thanks for the heads up, Iām getting ancient! š

I actually thought about making Mark Rocker older and fatter this time around (just like me in real life), and changing his finisher from the Rocker Cutter to the Final Bomb, to show he has aged and his moveset is now less athletic than it used to. Might do it anyway.

The aforementioned young coworker used the phrase "the bomb dot com" earlier. On the surface it almost sounds like it could have crawled out of 1996 and yet I could tell it was contemporary slang because my reflex was to give him kind of a funny "wait, what did you say?" sort of look.

Gonna rework Emu to only do complicated lucha stretches and flash pins.

I've had some kind of carpal tunnel thing going on in my left thumb for about a year and a half now. I was thinking video games were at least partially responsible but, after not having really played any in a few months and still seeing a noticeable worsening in it, I'm now wondering if that wasn't slowing it instead.

Might do it anyway. I've been doing this with the edit of myself since 1999 through Fire Pro G, D, Z, Returns and World. I actually keep my builds realistic to myself and as things degrade over time I always make sure my edit reflects that. My entire style has transitioned through time where in G I was almost a shoot fighter using martial arts, takedowns, chokes and joint locks and now I'm more like a power styled Kobashi where I'm still up for some high flying but it's more reserved for special occasions or big spots.
I've been saying since World was in development I was going to do an anthology of my edit from all previous installments of the game, but I still haven't gotten around to it. Mostly since I don't feel like digging out all my old systems and hooking them up get get the edit data, I'll likely just do it from memory.

I've got a few characters that have actually aged appropriately with the passage of time but then I also have a character where I thought about giving him a trait where he knows he's a video game character ("I've been 26 for the last five years.").

An anthology sounds cool. I would have to remember the moves I have given my edit since wrestlemania 2000.

My bank used to send me things about financing college for myself every so often. Now I'm at the point where they're sending me things about financing college for my hypothetical child.

Don't know if that hand is slowly going arthritic or what but it's making me realize how much I use my left hand at work even though I'm a righty.

I'm a righty as well but I rely on my left hand a lot in counterintuitive ways.
For example, when I open a bottle, I lift with my left hand and unscrew with my right. At this point it's just habit but I think originally I didn't have confidence in my left hand for motions like that.
This makes zero sense since I use my left hand for D-Pad motions for fighting games.
Apparently there's some fundamental split in my brain. I have complete confidence in my left hand to reliably perform absurd motions like the Raging Storm...but not to unscrew a bottle of water š¤·āāļø

I had my first alcohol sale to a 2000 birth the other day. I knew it was inevitable but I still wasn't ready for it.

I don't drink so I never buy alcohol. But every once in a while I will buy a kombucha. Most of the time they ring up without asking for a birth date. But I bought one that did ask. First I had to fumble to remember when I was born because I try to forget. Then when the words seventy nine came out of my mouth I got a little confused thinking, "That can't be right, that would make me... Crap how did I get so old." It seems like just yesterday I was turning twenty one myself.

The surest way to feel old is to hear someone refer to the stuff you've always been into as "retro" or "classic."

Started taking glucosamine tablets twice a day now for joint pain and stiffness from a recommendation from my parents. After 5 days I have noticed a difference, fortunately the only side effect I experience from them is occasional heart burn. Didn't even know about them until my parents mentioned they had been giving their dogs glucosamine for joint pain. Decided to give it a try and it says it takes about five days for it to start taking effect. It's weird to notice no pain in my knee walking up stairs and the permanent lower back ache and stiffness is completely gone right now. At the start of my vacation I was almost bed ridden from hurting my back and I even bought a back heating pad and heating belt on amazon for it. Now I just ordered myself another bottle of tablets.
It's -12 outside right now and my back actually feels so good, I may end up doing a six mile cigar walk anyway.
