Yeah, I have shoulder trouble in my right shoulder, makes doing hindu pushups, or as I called Gotch-style pushups tougher. Seems if I do multiple sets I get inflammation.
Knees are acting up a little, but I think it's from too much sitting and not enough squatting. COVID has killed my activity,, my fault.
But it sucks, in my lat 20's, early 30's I was at my peak...now I'm turning into some weird blend of Baron Harkkonen (I spelled that wrong, sorry) and Jabba. :(

As if on cue a familiar pain returned. Far from the worst I've felt but if it's following the stress of yesterday I think there's a pattern to it now.

I was watching a bunch of wrestling videos a friend sent me ages ago to see what I still wanted to keep. One was a match from 2002 that I remembered fairly well but hadn't seen since then until now.
The nostalgia was strong. Then my mind started doing the math.
After double-checking his birthday I realized that, at the time, The Undertaker was only about a year older than I am now.
Passage of time is really something.

Like, I know my mind sometimes can't shut up about how long ago something was because anxiety is stupid like that, but there's a distinction. Stuff that was already at least kinda old when I discovered it will always be old to me but stuff that was contemporary to my teens or twenties gives me existential dread when my mind tries to go down that road.

You know your getting older when the barber says:
"Do you want your eyebrows trimming mate, you've got a few long ones going on"
What made it worse was the fact he was wearing a face covering that looked like a welders mask.
Quite funny watching a bloke cut my hair looking like he's going to go any minute and do a bit of welding.

Yesterday I was making some moves in Move craft and I fell asleep for like 3 seconds in front of my screen. It was the middle of the afternoon.

Yesterday one of my coworkers and I had to explain who Jay & Silent Bob and Kevin Smith were to another coworker. And we work in a convenience store so we had to explain Clerks too.

Yesterday I was making some moves in Move craft and I fell asleep for like 3 seconds in front of my screen. It was the middle of the afternoon. *High-five*That happened to me a lot too 😁 Move Craft puts me to sleep if I get too deeply into it. (Though I'd love to have the time to do that right now!!) I pulled some crazy all-nighters during July for various reasons. There were some days I was tying to stay up longer and used Move Craft to do it. Sometimes that was successful, other times it led to me almost accidentally headbutting my computer while falling asleep with the traditional "head nod forward and suddenly catch myself" move. I usually fall asleep more during simming then during Move Craft but it's definitely happened.

I know what you mean. I am at a stage that if I stay up really late, or all night, I would need like 2 days to recover.

Maybe we're all getting old.
I've fallen asleep plenty of times working on moves.
Might explain why some look much sloppier than I thought they did. >.>;;

One of my esteemed colleagues, who is the oldest guy at his job despite only being 35, was telling me about something that happened to him. He made a reference to one of the Matlock jokes from The Simpsons and his teenaged coworker asked what Matlock was. He told him it was a show from the 80s/90s where Andy Griffith played a lawyer. Then it happened.
"Who's Andy Griffith?"

It's sad with all the technology, having the world at your fingertips, that the kids today are less informed then those of us who grew up without it. There was a girl I used to work with who didn't know who Jimi Hendrix was. I get if she had said she has never heard his music, but to not even know the name. It blew my mind.

Or there was apparently a recent example where someone said they like Post Malone because he gives exposure to "unknown" artists, like Ozzy Osbourne.
I mean, to be fair, I could see not knowing someone if they're not in your preferred genre. I have a coworker that doesn't know much about classic rock despite being 50, for example, and I would probably give equally blank stares if asked about country music.
Still, there are some names that you would think transcend their genre, like Jimi.

I'm still not used to 1998 or first-half 1999 births being old enough to drink. That seems like they should still be kids, dammit. Just had another 1999 kid be able to buy beer. Nope, still not used to it.
