One of the projects I want to attempt going forward is to put my own touch on the SWA roster (and perhaps have them eventually interact with the Senatorial Office down the road), and one of the big parts of this is going to be attempting to take the edits and mold them into cohesive characters. As such, I'd appreciate anyone's input on any of the traits that we can discern through mission/story mode appearances as well as your own personal canon you've built around them.
What I've got:
-The SWA was formerly known as the HWA, a fed that's operated out of the West Coast since 1989 as an American offshoot of a Japanese promotion that later fully split and rebranded itself in 1997 as the Spike Wrestling Alliance.
-The SWA remains closely tied to Japanese promotions and will often bring over young lions on excursion.
-Steel Johnson is the head trainer, fluent in both English and Japanese, and also serves as the lead booker.
-Mr. Cobra might or might not have actual mob connections, but plays up his Tony Soprano-esqe persona as he manipulates fellow heels to do his bidding. The Goodfellas(from the PEWA) have worked with him on a frequent basis.

Cool idea, Senator. Before making my own characters, I made my own versions of the default roster to get a grasp on the editing system. I put together some potential teams, after playing mission mode.
Blan Fleming & Max Bertrand (add Steel Johnson for 6-man tags)
Leonardo Pascual & Oliver Espadas
Dai Fugo & Fuji Akatsuki (In my game they joined a stable with Tomoyuki Matsumoto and PAN DA, called the Director's Club)
Laurence Holland & Takaya Hinomiya
Karts Rowdy & Blood Angel
Red Dragon & Bobby Bobby
I made Mr. Cobra a cult like religious leader, with Trevor Darius and Sam Blocks for his followers.

Man, I have done so little actual e-fed activity that it's going to take a while to get to a point where it would be relevant in any way, but I've got a whole head-canon built up around this, although I haven't given much thought to individual SWA wrestlers. But basically, the WFW and WWC battled for years in the infamous "Tuesday Night Conflict," (despite neither really gaining a foothold in the Tri-State Area, where the TSWA and, for a brief time in the 2000s, STRUGGLE Pro reigned supreme. Now, despite having at least three semi-active promotions, it's considered a dead territory) until WFW came out far enough ahead that WWC agreed to sell out to its diabolical owner Madman Musci. Eventually, major changes occurred, as mainstays like Axe Doogan and Steel Gold Steam Odin retired, and were replaced by a new generation, including Karts Rowdy, Max Bertrand, Anjean Spirals, British Azteca, and "The Invisible Man" Don Zima. Also, following a lawsuit from the World Federation of Wildlife, in an ill-advised move, the promotion was renamed the Spike Wrestling Association, even though the Spike TV deal only lasted a few years.

My SWA actually emerged from the VWA (Pro Wrestling NES).

Awesome thread idea!!!!! 😎 SWA is a company at the top that has nowhere to go but down, knows it, and is super insecure about it. That's why whenever an upstart company wants to do business with it to everyone's mutual gain, it rejects the offer for as long as it can. Eventually, the front office gets sloppy and they accidentally agree to a 5 on 5 promotion battle with their top champion putting their title on the line. Then you beat him, humble them, and all of a sudden they are happy to do business with you. SWA likely is run by just one megalomaniacal family. Unfortunately, I have no real life examples to compare it too 😉😁 -Mr. Cobra might or might not have actual mob connections, but plays up his Tony Soprano-esqe persona as he manipulates fellow heels to do his bidding. The Goodfellas(from the PEWA) have worked with him on a frequent basis. Mr. Cobra is a no-good, lily-livered, piece of excrement who REFUSES to allow me to hit Finishers on him on the entrance stage despite letting me light him up in the ring and outside. He just KNOWS how much I want to hit that entrance stage finisher on him and lets me do everything but that one move. However, he was demoralized when, as Vader, I destroyed all the wrestlers he managed right in front of him. It was like Christmas for "Let the bodies hit the floor" and he could do nothing but watch as a ring second. ...I have a complex relationship with Mr. Cobra.

This thread is great. I have never thought about doing that, but now I feel like giving this a shot. Is there a way to extract their data, like in previous Fire Pros? Not that I will be able to do it, but somebody could.

I always like to think Karts Rowdy was a professional go-kart racer who was banned from the sport for his constant reckless driving, and to continue his thrill-seeking lifestyle he's turned to pro wrestling.

Steel Johnson is like Lex Luger in WWF only the metal plate is somewhere else on his body.
Bobby Bobby is into some weird shit.

Let me tell ya'll I got real confused for a moment before remembering that SWA is in fact the name of the promotion the defaults are from.

Not that I will be able to do it, but somebody could. When you make a new edit, just select model wrestler and pick them - there's no complicated process like the old games. Edits from Promoter are different, but I'd be surprised if no one put them on the workshop in some form.
