The best part is that the beginning of the move clearly originated from a ballroom dancing technique 😁💃🕺
Would love to see that in FPW 👏

The start was comedic, the end was serious. It's so different compared to the goofs today that look like they are trying way too hard to be "meta."

There could definitely be a wrestler with a ballroom dancer theme who has a dancing version of "catch as catch can" amaresu mixed with lucha style. The finisher could be a "dip" that looks a bit like the arm leg sweep in FPW 😁

That would have been well suited for Ricki Starr back in the day.

The dude executing the move is TINY, I think that lead up is just a way to use momentum to his advantage and get that larger dude off of his feet. It’s slick however you slice it

MLW Kings of Colosseum January 6th, 2021 Oh sh*t! Mads Krüggers entrance theme (@42:34 minutes) is Neu! - Super 16. A 1973 track from a german experimental rock band.
The track has been used in the 1976 film Master of the Flying Guillotine.
Tarantino used the track in Kill Bill as a homage too.

^that was an interesting little read thank you for sharing before clicking away, I noticed something of a rant in the top comment that hearkened to a desire to see the old way of doing things in wrestling perform, at least from a personnel standpoint while I immediately recognized the cited name of Haystacks Calhoun, the name Sputnik Monroe was new to me naturally, I looked him up holy crap, what a crafty SOB lol really helped change the landscape by using the novel concept of money to break down the color barrier to fans in Memphis (not that he was driven by the money, he legitimately wanted to right a major wrong) that's to say nothing of his actual high quality work as a heel
"Win if you can, lose if you must, always cheat, and if they take you out, leave tearing down the ring."

I know the guy is a heat magnet around these parts, but Cornette talks about Sputnik Monroe a lot, and there’s a whole story about the man in his graphic novel Behind the Curtain: Real Pro Wrestling Stories. Sounds like a pretty amazing character that did a lot, like Marsh said, to right some serious wrongs in the area at the time. Here’s a link to the book, www.idwpublishing.com/product/jim-cornette-presents-behind-the-curtain-real-pro-wrestling-stories/And then there’s this...

So I watched the Royal Rumble PPV, first WWE show I've watched since last year's 2-night Mania event.
I thought it was really good, none of the matches sucked, and both rumbles entertained.
However....WTF is a Bad Bunny? I never heard of this guy before and when I saw his "performance" with (a bored looking) Booker T, I legit thought the WWE was doing some kind of gimmick like Elias', with a guy who was intentionally singing a terrible song like garbage to generate cheap heat. It was absolutely horrible music that was genuinely painful to sit through.
Then I looked the guy up only to discover he's a massive star with a huge international following, and apparently he did the Superbowl Halftime show last year?
SMH at the world.

Always good to see you around, Deni, and yeah, I don't get it either. Reminds me of the old H.L. Mencken paraphrase that "nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public."
