Sitting through five hours sounds like a good way to kill a crowd on its own but maybe that's just me. yes, that's what I was trying to suggest
and having a guy that the crowd doesn't care about at the end of it made it worse

So the AEW title got legitimately stolen. There's even a police report.

That police report sounds kinda fishy IMO. I'd bet that Jericho just got drunk and left it in an airport bar.

I get a feeling like this might be a work. I feel like if something like this were real it would be in AEW' best interest to keep it quiet

Well there is a police report so it legitimately was lost. But yeah I think Jericho was too drunk and forgot it somewhere and someone walked off with it.

The title was found by the side of the road

At first glance I thought that was Brother Love (Bruce Pritchard) sitting there with that red face and glasses in the chair with the “missing” strap!

*belt gets stolen* Jericho: *celebrates in DE BUBBLEGH* Can we just have Chris Jericho say "DE BUBBLEGH" in every single promo from now on? I'm so glad they put the title on him. Also, Kenny Omega heel turn coming soon?

So was the belt actually lost? I'm still unclear if it was a work or not.
In any case, Jericho made this entire spectacle pretty entertaining.
His last few years of heel work have been incredible.
But part of me was hoping this whole "lost belt" thing was going to lead to an angle where Shane Douglas was going to find it, throw it down on the ground, cut a vicious heel promo on Cody Rhodes or Kenny Omega, and restart "ECW" again in AEW: thereby giving fans a helluva hard time figuring out which 3 letter promotion to chant.

(I know he hasn't worked for them in a long time but that's where my mind went.)
