We just had our first weather warning for snowfall of the season for Thursday. Only 15cm which isn’t that bad and fortunately it’s on a day I’m not working anyway. We haven’t had anything but flurries yet so I’m not complaining. Yeah, watch that, we were supposed to get 5cm and ended up around 40. There are new doplar stations across Canada that are supposed to increase range and accuracy, but I’m not so sure about how good they are! 😀

Love how the world is just planning on dumping multiple inches on us to end the year.

Hope everyone stays safe, doesn't lose electricity, and can sim while it snows 🎮

We are experiencing a "blizzard-like" snowstorm right now. I don't know if we've ever had snow on new year's day. If we have, it's been too long for me to remember.

We have a weather warning for snow today and tomorrow. Fortunately not working today. We’ve had nothing but rain the last few days and I have a damn drip in my roof, so at least it won’t be leaking if it’s snow.

We had a weather warning today for a rain storm. That rain storm is currently a snow storm. Fortunately I don't work again until tomorrow night so I get to relive one of those awesome stay at home and do nothing 'school cancelled' days. Four more shifts to vacation.

I love my environment Canada app, it tells me there’s a 0% chance of snow. It’s been snowing huge poofy flakes for the past three hours... 🙄
I hope it’s also extremely wrong about our forecasted high of -23 C (-9 F) for Thursday...

Woke up to white out blizzard conditions at the start of my days off and woke up today to sun and a lot of green fields and melting snow and ice today. So nice out if I didn't have to work tonight I would take some cigars and get a 6 mile walk in now and another tonight.

Meanwhile, down here in Texas's hat, it's suddenly warmer than it has been so far this week.
60° F at night hits a lot different in late winter than it does in spring.
EDIT: So naturally it dropped 15 degrees overnight and became windy as hell. Oklahoma weather.

Hmm, -37 C (-34.6 F) tomorrow morning, thankfully it’s a balmy -26 C (-14.8 F) here right now. 🙄
It’s crazy to think that it goes to the positive 30s in the summer. Why did anyone ever think this is a great place to set roots down and start a city? 😁

So, it got to -38 C here this morning, not including the wind chill. My clutch was almost rock solid which is always fun when you’re changing gears for hills and stuff. It did climb to a balmy -33 downtown where I work, so it feels like a tropical vacation in comparison to the start of my drive. I hope it’s a lot warmer wherever all of you people are! 🙂
UPDATE: It is currently -6 C in SIBERIA right now... 🙄

Weather is calling for us to have another snow storm tonight just as our snow all melted. Fortunately I don't have to be in to work until 10am tomorrow and hopefully the storm will have passed by then.

I don't really know Celsius to Fahrenheit conversions (I honestly thought Canada used Fahrenheit; learn something new every day, they say) but I know negative temps in general suck for weather.
While I don't live near a subarctic climate, I will mention that 5 degree air temperature with a -11 degree (F) wind chill I had this morning wasn't too much fun and while it isn't unheard of for us to see a a day or two like that every other year or so, we're apparently in line for somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 straight days with morning lows ranging from -3 to 13 degrees. The greatest daily high during that span is projected to be 18 degrees. As I said, it's not unusual to see that anywhere between 0 and 3 times a winter but something prolonged like this hasn't been seen in a few years. Guess I'll invest in some thermal undershirts.

Woke up today and the snow storm is supposed to keep going to 11am. I said fuck it, and called in to work. First time in almost 5 years I've called in due to weather. Kinda works out since I hurt my back on Saturday and it was almost better today, then I sneezed and hurt it all over again. I spent all weekend binge watching The Expanse so back to that I guess.

We're getting some of that cold down here as well now. That basically just means ice but there are a few chances of snow over the next few days. It looks like it's mostly going to be below freezing for the next week, even getting down to single digits by Sunday.
I don't think I've seen 1° F before.
