ZIP JAPAN Joshi Explosion Results: ZIP JAPAN Joshi Tournament Match - Suki ZIP vs Rebecca Roxx Well, Suki certainly made a statement of intent in the first ever Joshi Division match of ZIP JAPAN. The match was pretty even and just heating up when Roxx hit a Stunner out of nowhere that seemed to wake up Suki and kick her into another gear. It's been a few years since a ZIP Driver caused a CRITICAL in ZIP JAPAN....Suki is making a good start at emulating her father, and easily advances in the tourney. Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match - White Trash vs Yutaro Ichikawa vs Ichiro Katagiri vs Tetsuo K A really enjoyable Juniors cluster. Trash was all over the place in this match, his flippy switch was definitely flipped on tonight. Trash eliminated Tetsuo after a series of flips culminating in a Yardtard before Ichikawa hilariously got backslided by Katagiri. Once it got down to Trash and Katagiri, it didn't take long for the Trailer Park Gangsta to bust out a Flip Piledriver for the win. White Trash doing a good job of getting his heat back on the last two shows after losing to Katagiri at Juniors Hustle. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Tournament Match - Momoe Ito vs Vicki Violence Momoe Ito was making her pro debut tonight, and she got booked against a tough veteran. Momoe looked good, she showed off some of her aerial ability and kicked out of Vicki's Sliding V finisher, but eventually Vicki's experience proved decisive. That Package Piledriver is nasty, and Vicki Violence advances to the semi finals. - Saburo Hamada vs Satoshi Iguchi A super hot match with both guys going all out right out of the gates. Iguchi hit an avalanche Cutter within the first 5 minutes. Hamada performed really well but with the streak he's on, he needed a win more than just a good showing. He managed to get a Perfect Driver in there for a near fall, but Iguchi's vicious arsenal of cutters and ace crushers was more than Hamada could handle. The last few minutes of this match were great. Archive match from 2007 - Gorobei Jr vs ECKO This match from early on in Gorobei Jr's Junior Division run really showcased his natural toughness and ability against the always dangerous ECKO. Gorobei Jr only lasted a year or so in the Juniors Division before taking the step up to the Heavyweights, and results like this are part of the reason why. It was more than 10 years ago, but the seeds of the man who would become GORO were already there. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Tournament Match - Psycho Witch vs Yumi Yamaguchi Yamaguchi was also making her pro debut tonight, but her match went much better than Momoe's. She hung in there against a bigger, stronger and more experienced opponent in Psycho Witch, despite being on the receiving end of plenty of brutal offense. She hit a couple of Angelic Drivers and then got the big win off the top rope Diving Brain Chop. Shades of her hero Gorobei (Senior). Yumi was the only babyface to advance in the Joshi tourney, she's got her work cut out for her. - Green Crush (Takeshi Kiriyama and Asano Kaneshiro) vs Storm of the Century (Wataru Nakajima and Thunder Fist) Well holy crap, Wataru Nakajima got another win...and a CRITICAL with his Nakajima Special. Storm of the Century are off to a great start as a team, they seem to mesh more in the ring every time out. Nakajima might be ideally suited to a tag team at this stage of his career. The rest of the ZIP JAPAN Tag Team division has been put on alert. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Tournament Match - Aya Mizuno vs Hanako Yoshii The last joshi match of the evening was probably my favorite of the first round. Aya Mizuno is vicious and let it all hang out against Hanako Yoshii. For her part, Yoshii absorbed a real beating and dished out her fair share of armwork, and even locked in an armbar or two but couldn't force a tapout. Hanako ate powerbombs and piledrivers, but it was a ruthless kick from Mizuno that finally put her away. I think Aya Mizuno might be the favorite to win the Joshi tournament based on this performance. Triple Threat Elimination Match to determine #1 Contender for ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Mad Bomber vs Demon Otsu vs Mr. Suplex Any one of these three guys is a legit credible threat to GORO's title, but man Otsu is a special kind of scary right now. He looks like Mad Bomber did last fall when he just destroyed everyone he faced for a while there. Otsu CRITICAL'd Mad Bomber with a Devil's Drop, and then pinned Mr Suplex not long after with the same move. GORO vs Demon Otsu has pretty amazing potential for violence. ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship Match - Team Fighting Spirit (Akira Shinjo and Daisuke Shimura) (C) vs Jimmy Nails and Mickey Grinds An outstanding tag team match. Nails and Grinds were definitely the underdogs as the challengers here, but their solid teamwork and perseverance paid off handsomely. They hit some great double team moves, and helped each other cut off the ring, and showed heart and determination to overcome their bigger and tougher opponents. New Tag Champions! Its funny, the Heavy and Junior Heavy titles have both got long reigning champions, but the tag titles seem to move around every other show. For now, Nails n Grinds are top of the mountain. ZIP JAPAN Junior Championship Match - Justin Starr (C) vs Shuji Tsukamoto Well here we are again, another Justin Starr title defense that wasn't even close. Starr is so dominant in the Junior Division right now, he's on a level above everyone else, and it's hard to see who might make a decent challenger for him. Tsukamoto used his power as was expected, earning a couple of nearfalls with big body bombs, but he never really got out of first gear before Starr forced the submission. A slightly deflating main event. In hindsight I wish I'd have put the Aya Mizuno vs Hanako Yoshii match in this spot. Once again thanks to everyone who attended all or part of the show. I'd say MOTN was probably the tag title match, or Hamada vs Iguchi. All 8 of the Joshi edits featured on tonight's stream are now available on the Steam Workshop, they're all part of the collection in my sig below. The next ZIP JAPAN event will be Friday Feb 23, and will feature the semi finals and Finals of the Joshi Tournament....and yes, the final tourney match will be the main event :P The rest of the card will be posted soon. BIG NEWS: The following video was released on ZIP JAPAN's website immediately following the end of the Joshi Explosion show! *camera fades in on Great HAGE standing backstage in a dimly lit area*
HAGE: (he speaks softly) <I'm saddened and disappointed. I really thought my student Saburo Hamada was ready for success on the ZIP JAPAN roster. I thought I was right when he won the Super Z Cup, but his actions and performances since that tournament have shown me just how wrong I was. Hamada clearly still has much to learn, so it's up to his sensei to teach him those lessons. (his voice picks up in volume and intensity) Hamada-san! This is my challenge! Face me in a best of three series so we can find out if you're actually as good as you think you are...or if you're just the wasted potential I think you are. I taught you everything you know Hamada, but I didn't teach you everything I know, and I think it's time for the student to stand up to the master. Show me what you've got Hamada, and prove me wrong...I'm begging you.>

ZIP JAPAN Announcement! *camera fades in on Reiko ZIP, sitting at her desk in her large office*
Reiko: <Greetings, fans! Fresh off the success of the debut of ZIP JAPAN's Joshi Division, I have a couple of brief announcements to make. First off are a few injury updates. Super Scorpio suffered two broken ribs in his match against Yutaro Ichikawa at Path to Redemption, as well as some intercostal muscle tears. I don't have a firm return date for Scorpio yet, but it will probably be late April.>
Reiko: <Unfortunately the news is not so good for a couple of others. There were three serious injuries suffered by ZIP JAPAN wrestlers at the Joshi Explosion show. First off, there was a very scary moment in the first joshi match, with Rebecca Roxx being dropped straight on the top of her head by Suki's ZIP Driver. I've received word this morning that Roxx suffered a cervical compression fracture, and briefly lost feeling in her hands and feet. Thankfully the feeling has returned, but doctors say she will need to be in a cervical brace for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before she can return to light training.>
Reiko: <Next, Takeshi Kiriyama broke his shoulder when Wataru Nakajima nailed him with the Nakajima Special, and will be out of action for approximately 8 weeks. And finally, Mad Bomber was knocked out cold and experienced a serious concussion injury at the hands of Demon Otsu's Devil Drop. Mad Bomber is still undergoing medical observation, and has no projected return date at this time.>
Reiko: <Now, regarding the next ZIP JAPAN event, I'm pleased to announce that Saburo Hamada has accepted the challenge of Great HAGE, and the first match of their best of three series will take place at Joshi Climax. Demon Otsu will be facing GORO for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship, and of course the Joshi tournament semi finals and finals will be on the card. The full lineup for the show will be announced tomorrow. Thank you for your time.>

ZIP JAPAN Joshi Promo Roundup! *camera fades in on Vicki Violence standing in front of a ZIP JAPAN banner*
Vicki: First it was Momoe Ito, and now Yumi Yamaguchi, a couple of rookies barely worth my time. It almost feels like Reiko is giving me a walk into the tournament finals by pairing me up with these nobodies. Yumi, I know you beat Psycho Witch, so you're not a total pushover, but I'm much more than a psycho!
*Vicki pulls out a fork and stabs herself in the forehead several times, drawing blood that runs freely down her face and drips over her lips*
Vicki: I'm a fucking lunatic! How you gonna deal with me? You're just a stepping stone Yumi, I'm gonna destroy your career before it even starts, and then I'm gonna win the whole damn tournament! That Joshi Championship is coming home with Pretty Evil! BAHAHAHA!
*Vicki's blood sprays from her lips onto the camera lens as she laughs maniacally. A ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen to transition to Yumi Yamaguchi*
Yumi: (she bows) <Hello fans! Yumi Yamaguchi here, and I'm thrilled to make it into the final four of the Joshi tournament! Defeating Psycho Witch in my first match was a huge achievement for me, and I relish the chance to earn another win over an established star in Vicki Violence. I'm confident in my abilities, and I'm not intimidated in the slightest by her wild reputation. If I can get past her, I feel like I can win the whole tournament! See you all this Friday, I hope the fans will support me as the new ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champion!>
*Yumi bows again, and another ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh transitions to Aya Mizuno. She is rubbing her hands together and has a big smile on her face*
Mizuno: <Oh boy...I get to put my hands on Suki ZIP in the Joshi Tournament semifinals! I can't wait. Say whatever you want Suki....you were the driving force behind the creation of the Joshi Division, you're the daughter of a legit legend of the sport, you're part owner of the promotion....none of it matters a damn to me! You're just another obstacle in my path to be swept aside, and let's not forget that until a few weeks ago, you were nothing but a referee! I'm gonna beat your ass Suki, and then I'm going to win the finals and become the first ever ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champion...partly to add another title to my career collection, but mostly just to piss you off.>
*Mizuno blows a kiss to the camera and gives a smug grin. Another ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh transitions to Suki ZIP*
Suki: <I told the world I was going to dominate this tournament and the new Joshi Division in ZIP JAPAN, and so far so good. Rebecca Roxx is on the shelf for a long time thanks to the ZIP Driver, and it looks like Aya Mizuno is next on the list to feel my wrath. I really don't care about your history or your experience, Mizuno...I'm just two pinfalls away from making history...the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship literally has my name on it, and I'm not letting anyone or anything stand in my way. That includes you, and whoever I end up facing in the tourney finals! At Joshi Climax, the title is going to be mine! All mine!>

Well, well. We've had some interesting developments this evening in ZIP JAPAN! The Joshi have climaxed and a new champion has been crowned. More than one in fact. Read on.... ZIP JAPAN Joshi Climax results Joshi Tournament Semifinal A - Yumi Yamaguchi vs Vicki Violence Both ladies clearly wanted to get this one over with quickly and reserve some energy for the final match, Yumi hitting some big moves in the first few minutes, and Vicki breaking out the scythe a couple of times. Yumi was bleeding all over the place but dug deep and came up with an Angelic Driver out of nowhere for her second big win of the tournament. - Daisuke Shimura vs Asano Kaneshiro Two big nasty dudes really battered the hell out of each other here, including plenty of time spent brawling outside the ring. After all the head drops and powerbombs they could muster, Shimura gets the leg whip -> Rock N Roll Sasori-gatame sub on Kaneshiro, who looked a little lost at times without Kiriyama :P Joshi Tournament Semifinal B - Aya Mizuno vs Suki ZIP Suki tried to end this match early over and over, using backslides and inside cradles with reckless abandon when she probably would've been better off trying to do some damage to her opponent. Mizuno used her experience to her advantage and weathered Suki's early storm, before she rolled out the Germans. Was kinda hoping for a Suki vs Yumi final, but Mizuno more than deserved her win here. - Ichiro Katagiri vs Minoru Hoshino This was just silly. Hoshino decided he wanted to win this match with a 450 splash and proceeded to try it no fewer than 10 times. It' never worked. The match dragged a little but it was kinda funny watching Hoshino go for the 450 over and over. Eventually his face met the Knees of Death. Elimination Battle Royal - Donnie Doogan vs Jumbo Jinzei vs Maki Yoshida vs Akira Shinjo Glass Ceiling Match lol. All of these guys on the cusp of being the Heavyweight Title picture, but it's just out of their reach recently. Donnie Doogan proved himself the king of the glass ceiling again tonight...Shinjo KO'd Yoshida early with a nasty brainbuster, and the remaining 3 guys put on a solid three way match. Shinjo pinned Jumbo and then walked right into a FEEL THE POWERslam. ZIP JAPAN Archive match from 2006 - Genki Raiga and Mr Suplex vs King ZIP and Kintaro God damn. I'm pretty sure this is the only time I've ever seen King ZIP tap out. Mr Suplex did the majority of the work/absorbed the most punishment for his team, but Raiga really made his presence felt in this one. He even got his Face lock sub right in ZIP/Kintaro's corner, but King ZIP tapped so fast, Kintaro didn't have time to make the save. Borderline freakish result, but a fun match nonetheless. Best of 3 Challenge - Match #1 - Saburo Hamada vs Great HAGE Hot damn great match here, and this finish was PERFECT given the set up for the match/series. Hamada had already kicked out of two HAGE Bombs in the match, but when HAGE went for #3, Hamada reversed it into a bridging pin for the win. The student had a trick the master didn't have an answer for. Looking forward to match #2 between these two. To determine No. 1 Contenders for the ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship - Pure HEEL (Sawada/Kobayashi) vs Storm of the Century (Nakajima/Fist) A fantastic effort from both teams in this match. Pure HEEL definitely have the edge when it comes to experience, and they made it count. SotC have nothing to be ashamed of here, after Kenji perfectly set up his finish in an area of the ring that Fist had no chance of getting to in time to make the save. Pure HEEL vs Nails n Grinds has fantastic potential. Elimination Battle Royal to determine No. 1 Contender for the ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship - White Trash vs Satoshi Iguchi vs Tora Katsu vs ECKO If you ever wanted to see Tora Katsu go into total beast mode, this was the match for you. It was a typically entertaining junior cluster for about 14 minutes, then Katsu went nuts, CRITICALing ECKO with the Katsu Valley Driver...pinning Trash with a Tiger Suplex and then finishing the trifecta with a KVD on Iguchi for the final elimination. Hopefully Katsu saved a little something in the tank, he's gonna need it against Justin Starr. ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship match - no DQ, no Countout - GORO (c) vs Demon Otsu Well, well. GORO has been de-throned. Demon Otsu was an absolute killer in this match, cutting off most of GORO's offense and nailing head drops left and right. Otsu kicked out of GORO's float over DDT (the move that finished Mr Suplex in GORO's last title defense) and got the pin with a nasty looking pop up powerbomb. Not sure where GORO goes from here, but Otsu really deserved this one after putting on some stellar matches recently. Time will tell if people get behind Otsu for beating a hated heel, or if he will be just as bad as GORO lol. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship match - Yumi Yamaguchi vs Aya Mizuno Poor Yumi. The least experienced member of the Joshi division vs the most experienced. She held her own for a while, including an awesome spot where she hit an Angelic Driver on the arena floor, but rolled back into the ring only to immediately eat a pulling piledriver from Mizuno. Mizuno got on a roll after that and put Yamaguchi away after a superkick that ended off a nasty strike battle. Aya Mizuno is the first ever ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champion! I prefer having a heel champ for the faces to chase, so this was a good result, even if the match was a little short for my tastes....and Yumi will get another chance in the future I'm sure. Thanks very much again to everyone who attended tonight's show, I hope everyone had a good time. We'll do it again in a couple of weeks.

ZIP JAPAN Promo roundup! *camera fades in on Aya Mizuno. She's got a sneering smile on her face and she hikes the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship belt up onto her shoulder*
Mizuno: <Well I've done it again. I walked into another promotion, beaten the best they had to offer, and taken their Joshi Title. ZIP JAPAN is just the latest in a long string of my successes, and I'm intent on settling in for a nice, long reign. Suki, you wrestled like a damn coward and paid the price. At least Yumi Yamaguchi had the guts to stand toe to toe with me and fought with some semblance of honor. I've set the bar pretty damn high for the rest of you girls, you're all going to have to step up your game if you want to compete on my level. Come get me...if you think you're good enough!>
*Mizuno sprays the camera lens with green mist, and a ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh transitions to some black and white film that appears to be security cam footage in the men's locker room. GORO can be seen ranting incoherently and violently destroying the room. He throws around some chairs, smashes a full catering table, and kicks in the doors of several lockers, cursing the whole time. As GORO throws his tantrum, the camera pulls slowly back over a red shoulder, revealing the back of Demon Otsu, watching the events unfold on a monitor. Otsu slowly turns to face the camera and bares his fangs in a hideous grin. He holds up the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship as his tongue snakes out and gives a long lick to the plate of the title belt.*
Demon Otsu: (speaking slowly in a deep, gravelly voice) <Tastes....sweet.>
*Otsu lets out an evil laugh and another ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen to reveal an extreme closeup of Great HAGE, showing only his masked face*
HAGE: <Ah, well done grasshopper. You've finally shown me a glimpse of what I thought you were capable of in the ring. One match out of three down, and the advantage is yours, but we'll see how long it lasts. To succeed, Hamada-san, you can't just have one great performance...you need to string them together over weeks, months and years to reach legendary status...plus you have to be fluid and be able to shift your strategy depending on the opponent you face. In your next match, you won't be facing the man you know as your sensei, and you won't be facing an aging Great HAGE...you'll be facing me!>
*HAGE rips off his mask to reveal a black and silver mask underneath, and the camera rapidly pulls back to a full length shot revealing HAGE's black attire*
HAGE: <Darkness HAGE! That's right Hamada-san, you've proven that you can deal with a broken, old former champion...let's see if you can handle a maniac with zero regard for his own safety, and even less for that of his opponent! I've embraced the blackness within my soul, and I'll use it to snuff you out!>
*camera fades slowly as it zooms back in on HAGE's wild eyes*

The Saga of Reiko and White Trash Some historical context for those who weren't there back in the day or simply don't remember: Back when White Trash joined ZIP JAPAN in 2005, he and Reiko ZIP had a torrid romance that lasted several months. King ZIP didn't like the idea of his daughter spending time with Trash, who was a brash young loudmouth at the time. King ZIP went out of his way to make things miserable for Trash, booking him in several handicap matches, and often making him wrestle bruising heavyweights. This all culminated in a mixed tag match of King ZIP/Suki ZIP vs White Trash/Reiko ZIP. The young couple lost this match, and their romance soured under unknown circumstances a short while later. Reiko and White Trash have maintained a casual, friendly but platonic relationship ever since. Part 1 *Cut to some GTV style footage, shot from a camera apparently hidden inside Reiko's office. Reiko is seated at her desk, poring over a stack of paperwork. There is a knock on the door*
Reiko: (wearily) <Come in...>
*White Trash enters the office with a swagger, Reiko's expression brightens a little bit*
Reiko: <Oh hi, Trash. Come in, have a seat.>
White Trash: <Hi Reiko, how's life treating you?>
*White Trash crosses her office and sits down across from Reiko's desk*
Reiko: (sighing) <You know, busy as always, what's new with you?>
White Trash: <Oh, same old, same old. Go to gym, go to arena, repeat.>
Reiko: (giggling) <Trash you've lived here for so long, how is your Japanese still so terrible?>
White Trash: (laughing) <Better than your English.>
Reiko: (with a grin) <Ah, point taken.>
*Reiko walks around her desk and leans against the front of it, facing Trash with her arms folded*
Reiko: <So what's up, what can I do for you?>
White Trash: <Well boss, I wanted to talk about the chances of maybe getting a shot at the ZIP JAPAN Junior Championship again some time soon...>
*Reiko's expression turns sad, and she stares into the distance*
White Trash: <Hey, what's the matter?>
Reiko: (her voice quivering) <N..N..nothing.>
*Reiko turns her face downwards but cannot hide that her bottom lip and chin are trembling. White Trash gets to his feet and holds Reiko by her shoulders*
White Trash: (concerned) <Hey kid, what's wrong? Tell me.>
*Reiko leans her forehead against White Trash's chest and sobs quietly. White Trash wraps his arms around her and makes gentle noises to calm her. A moment passes*
Reiko: (sniffling) <I'm sorry, it's just hard sometimes. I've got so much responsibility, the new Joshi division has added a ton of work to my plate, not to mention the fact that I've lost Suki as a referee, and everyone always wants something more from me.>
White Trash: <Sorry, babe. It's lonely at the top, huh?>
*Reiko lets out a big sigh and reaches her arms around White Trash's midsection. Another moment passes in silence*
Reiko: <What happened to us, Trash? When did it go wrong for us?>
White Trash: (if Trash is surprised by this change of topic, he hides it very well) <Hm, I'm gonna say it was right around the time your father found out about us.>
Reiko: <Yeah...but, my father isn't here any more.>
*White Trash lifts Reiko's chin and brushes a tear from her cheek with his thumb. They look into each others eyes for a split second before Trash suddenly kisses her. He pulls back after a moment and starts to apologize, but Reiko grabs the back of his head and kisses him fiercely. After a few seconds Reiko pulls back*
Reiko: (smiling): <Ahem, is that a daikon in your pocket?>
White Trash: (with a wry grin) <Just happy to see you, babe.>
*The two stare into each others eyes for a moment as they both breathe heavily. Suddenly Reiko turns and sweeps all the paperwork off her desk onto the floor. She sits on the edge of the desk and pulls White Trash to her, kissing him passionately. Reiko leans back and pulls White Trash on top of her as the camera cuts to static*

PROMO TIME with Tomi ZIP! *camera fade in on Tomi ZIP, standing in front of a ZIP JAPAN banner. On her left is Yumi Yamaguchi and to her right is Suki ZIP*
Tomi: <Greetings fans! This Friday night, on the Road to WrestleQuest, these two women will be facing each other for the right to wrestle Aya Mizuno for the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship at WrestleQuest on April 20! Let's hear their thoughts on this big match! (she turns to Yumi) Yamaguchi-san, you can go first.>
Yumi: <Thanks Tomi. I was proud to compete in the main event of the Joshi Climax show, and while I think my performance was good, there's no doubt I was disappointed with the outcome. Mizuno is a strong competitor, and I'd love the chance to wrestle her again with the title on the line...even if it means I have to go through Suki first. I proved I can handle myself in the ring against Vicki Violence and Psycho Witch, and I'm looking forward to this Friday so I can show Suki first hand just what I'm capable of.>
Tomi: <Very well, and Suki, your response?>
Suki: (condescendingly) <Listen, Yumi. Mizuno and I are clearly the best two wrestlers the Joshi division has. You only got into the tournament finals because Muzuno and I ended up on the same side of the bracket. This Friday->
*a voice is heard off camera, shouting in heavily German-accented English*
Voice: Vot ze hell is goink on here?!
*suddenly a pink blur flashes across the screen from right to left, and Suki eats a superkick to the face. She crumbles to the ground, out cold. Tomi shrieks and drops the microphone, and bends down out of camera shot to check on her sister. A tall, blonde woman dressed in pink ring gear and thigh high black boots is left standing next to Yumi. The woman picks up the microphone from the ground and speaks to Yumi*
Woman: Guten tag, I am Cutie Booties.
*she bows formally and extends her hand to Yumi, who is clearly stunned and bewildered by what has transpired. Yumi's natural instinct for manners kicks in and she returns Cutie's bow, but stops short of shaking her hand. Cutie turns to address the camera*
Cutie Booties: Reiko ZIP, ve haff a problem! How dare you start a Yoshi Division in ZIP JAPAN and not invite me to be part of it? You of all people know I am deserving. Zis vill not stand! Mein lawyers are drafting papers right now Reiko, you haff been put on notice. I vill claim my spot!
*Cutie hands the mic to Yumi and storms off the set, leaving Yumi looking totally confused. After a brief moment, she smiles and bows to the camera*
Yumi: <I have no idea who that was or what she said, but ZIP JAPAN Road to WrestleQuest is this Friday night! Don't miss it!>
*Yumi's expression changes to one of concern as she looks down to her right, and the camera pans down to show Tomi lightly slapping Suki on the cheek and Suki slowly coming around, her eyes still rolling in her head as the camera fades to black.*

The Saga of Reiko and White Trash Part 2 *more GTV style guerilla footage, again inside Reiko's office. She is sitting at her desk, and there's even more paperwork than before. White Trash saunters in without knocking*
White Trash: <Hey, sweetness.>
*White Trash stands behind Reiko and begins rubbing her shoulders as she works. She is doing her best to ignore him until he begins to nibble on her ear*
Reiko: (annoyed) <Come on, knock it off!>
*White Trash raises his hands in mock surrender*
White Trash: <Whoa! Ok...what's the matter?>
*Reiko drops her pen and turns her attention to White Trash*
Reiko: <We need to talk.>
White Trash: <Uh oh, sounds serious. Let me put on my serious face.>
*White Trash adopts a mockingly serious expression*
Reiko: (not playing along) <It is serious. About what happened last week...>
White Trash: (grinning) <Yeah? Want it to happen again?>
Reiko: (trying to suppress a smile) <Listen, Mr. Smooth Talker. What happened between us was wonderful. With all the pressure I've been under recently, being with you was exactly what I needed. But...it cannot happen again.>
White Trash: (stunned) <What? Why not? I...I love you, Reiko.>
Reiko: <It's just not appropriate or professional. I'm your boss, I'm responsible for your career, and I simply cannot be in a position to be accused of playing favorites. I really do care about you, Trash, but try to see things from my perspective. I have more to consider than just my feelings.>
White Trash: (pissed off) <Dammit, Reiko. Why don't you try looking at things from MY perspective for once?>
Reiko: <What do you mean?>
White Trash: <Do you have any idea how hard my career has been for me? I see you almost every day of my life, the woman of my dreams, and I can't do anything about it! All the time we spend working together and traveling together is like torture, and I'm not sure how much more I can stand. I love you, Reiko. I've loved you since the day I met you. I want us to be together, and to hell with what anyone else thinks is appropriate!>
Reiko: (sad) <Oh, Trash. I wish it was that simple. I do love you, but I just don't see how we can be together without it being a conflict of interests.>
White Trash: (dejected) <Fine. I see how it is. Talk to you later, boss.>
*White Trash storms out of her office and Reiko buries her face in her hands as the camera cuts to static*

ZIP JAPAN Video *camera fades in on Reiko's office. She is seated at her desk and across from her sits Cutie Booties and a Japanese man in a business suit*
Man: <Good afternoon Ms ZIP, my name is Kondo Ishibashi, and I am a lawyer representing Ms Booties.>
Reiko: <OK, Ishibashi-san, you asked for this meeting and here I am. For the record, Cutie, you didn't have to attack Suki to get my attention. Now what is this about?>
*Ishibashi appears to be translating for Cutie, whispering in her ear each time Reiko speaks*
Ishibashi: <Ms Booties is formally appealing for a spot in the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Division. She feels slighted that you failed to invite her when you formed the division, and wishes to assert her rights.>
Reiko: <Her rights? What are you talking about? I've never heard of this woman.>
Ishibashi: <Ah, well it is our position that by law Ms Booties is entitled to a percentage ownership in ZIP JAPAN, but she is wiling to forego pursuing said ownership in exchange for a spot on the roster.>
Reiko: <"Percentage ownership"?? On what grounds?>
Ishibashi: <Well, it's a slightly sensitive issue, but...Ms Booties claims that her father is King ZIP.>
Reiko: (shocked) <What?>
Ishibashi: <It's true. King ZIP fathered Ms Booties during a tour of Germany some years ago. I'm sure this news comes as something of a surprise to you...>
Reiko: <It certainly does! I know my father was no saint inside or outside of the ring, but he never would've been unfaithful to my mother!>
Ishibashi: <Well, we could certainly pursue our claim in court and officially request that DNA testing be performed to validate our position. If Ms Booties were to be proven the biological daughter of King ZIP, she would be entitled to a percentage of his estate, including his wrestling promotion. However, Ms Booties is not interested in engaging in lengthy and expensive legal proceedings, or dragging your father's good name through the mud to get what she deserves...>
Reiko: (leaning back in her chair and folding her arms) <So it's blackmail, then?>
Ishibashi (feigning shock) <Not at all, Ms ZIP! Ms Booties is a trained professional wrestler, and she simply wants to be able to compete in ZIP JAPAN! This is something easily within your power to give her, and in exchange for a guaranteed contract for a period of no less than two years, she is willing to forego all legal claim against your company.>
Reiko: (sighing) <Well, I will admit that Cutie and my sisters and I share some alarmingly distinctive facial, uh, characteristics...and I certainly don't want to have the ownership of ZIP JAPAN held up in the courts for any length of time...OK Ishibashi-san, tell Cutie that she can have her contract.>
*Ishibashi whispers again to Cutie*
Cutie: Ja! Das is very good.
*Cutie nudges her lawyer and whispers something to him*
Ishibashi: <Ah, one final request Ms ZIP.>
Reiko: (clearly not impressed) <And what is that?>
Ishibashi: <Ms Booties wants a title match for the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship at the earliest possible opportunity.>
Reiko: <Really? You want me to just hand you a title match without having earned it? (she sighs again) Alright, fine. You get one shot, and after that you have to earn it like everyone else. Deal?>
*Ishibashi stands up and extends his hand to Reiko*
Ishibashi: <Very good Ms ZIP, I'll have the documents drafted and sent to your legal representative within the next few days.>
*Reiko ignores him completely, giving Cutie an icy stare. Ishibashi awkwardly retracts his hand as Cutie stands up*
Cutie: Ja, is good deal. See you soon, sis! Hahaha!
*Ishibashi and Cutie leave the office, and Reiko can be seen muttering to herself as the camera fades to black*

ZIP JAPAN Road to WrestleQuest results: - Yutaro Ichikawa vs Satoshi Iguchi A fun and fast paced opener - Psycho Witch vs Momoe Ito vs Hanako Yoshii Momoe looked great here in eliminating Hanako Yoshii, and I thought she was going to have her defining victory, but Psycho Witch shut her down brutally with the Dragon Clutch submission - Wataru Nakajima vs Asano Kaneshiro Well good lord this was your MOTN I think, even though a few others rated just as highly. Nakajima had to dig ridiculously deep in this one, a real war against a bigger and stronger opponent. So many near falls for both guys and a great finish. Phenomenal stuff from the Patriarch. - White Trash vs Tetsuo K Trash was getting his ass whooped in this match, Tetsuo was dominant for long periods...and then Trash hit a Canadian Destroyer out of nowhere and somehow got the 1..2..3! Good stuff. - GORO vs Thunder Fist A very hard hitting and competitive match with both guys getting their opportunities to win it. GORO begins the process of getting back his heat and moving back up the Heavyweight ladder, with this solid victory against Thunder Fist with his Just Another Victim finisher. Archive match from 2010 - Demon Otsu vs Mr Suplex Well I guess Reiko picked this match to demonstrate that current Champion Demon Otsu was capable of being absolutely dominant even earlier in his career. Suplex got a few good throws in, but Otsu was in control the whole way, and knocked Mr Suplex loopy with a big kick outside the ring. Suplex couldn't answer the ring count. Best of 3 Series - Match #2 - Saburo Hamada vs Darkness HAGE Well, it's a very successful return for Darkness HAGE, and this match was actually much better than the rating indicates. The master gets the big victory over his former student, and now the final and deciding match of this series will take place at WrestleQuest! To Determine #1 Contender for the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Yumi Yamaguchi vs Suki ZIP Wow. Probably the best match of the Joshi Division so far. Yumi had a lot to prove after Suki basically dismissed her abilities earlier in the week, and boy did she respond. Super competitive and hard hitting match, with Yumi emerging victorious after hitting an Angelic Driver in the center of the ring. To Determine #1 Contender for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Donnie Doogan vs Daisuke Shimura Another excellent chapter in the ongoing feud between Shimura and Doogan, with Mr Rock N Roll doing everything in his power to get the first crack at Demon Otsu's Heavyweight Title. Shimura no sold a FEEL THE POWERslam on the floor and kicked out of two Doogan Hammers before securing the win with a sickening Iconoclasm. Excellent match. ZIP JAPAN Junior Championship match - Justin Starr (C) vs Tora Katsu Very solid title defense for Justin Starr, winning with his signature Sky Twister Press, and certainly the most competitive title defense he's has in several weeks. Tora Katsu gave a good accounting of himself here, but came up just short. ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship match - Jimmy Nails n Mickey Grinds (C) vs Pure HEEL (Sawada and Kobayashi) A fantastic main event, with the two tag teams delivering the quality I knew they could. Nails and Grinds looked good and had their moments, but Pure HEEL were magnificent with their teamwork and were well deserving of their victory. New Tag Team Champions! BONUS DARK MATCH - Cutie Booties vs Vicki Violence Reiko wanted to make sure Cutie was capable before handing her an official debut match, and Ms Booties proved she was more than up to the challenge of hanging with one of the toughest girls in the Joshi Division. Cutie will make her debut at WrestleQuest on April 20 Apologies again for the technical issues that marred this event, and heartfelt thanks to those of you stuck with me and managed to see the show today. Assuming nothing horrible happens in the meantime, we should be good to present ZIP JAPAN WrestleQuest on April 20. I'm planning on that one being a longer show than usual, so I'll be starting a bit earlier than usual, probably aiming for 8 pm EST. Hope to see you all there!

The Saga of Reiko and White Trash Part 3 *Reiko is in her office again, working away. White Trash bursts in excitedly, and Reiko looks up, startled*
White Trash: <Reiko, I've gotta talk to you!>
*Reiko stands up from her desk to face White Trash*
Reiko: <What is it?>
White Trash: (exuberant) <I've figured it out, babe! I know a way we can be together without it "crossing any lines of your business or personal ethics!"> (he does the finger quotes)
Reiko: (stunned) <Tell me.>
*White Trash whispers into Reiko's ear for a few moments, and her eyes go wide*
Reiko: <No! You can't do that, Trash, not for me!>
White Trash: <Not just for you, but for me too. I want this, Reiko. Believe me, I've wasted enough of my life not being with you.>
Reiko: (hesitant) <Are you sure?>
White Trash: <Never been more sure of anything.>
*Reiko begins laughing and crying at the same time as she throws her arms around White Trash's neck and kisses him*
Reiko: <I love you. OK...I'll call a press conference. Are you ready?>
White Trash: <Ready as I'll ever be. Let's do it tomorrow.>
Reiko: <Consider it done...>
*they kiss again and the camera cuts to static*

ZIP JAPAN Press Conference! Huge News! *camera fades in on Reiko ZIP and White Trash standing side by side at a podium on a small stage. A huge flatscreen is mounted high up on the wall behind them, displaying the ZIP JAPAN logo. Many wrestling journalists and fans are in attendance. The noise among the crowd quickly settles as Reiko steps up to the microphone*
Reiko: <Welcome, everyone and thank you for coming. As you all know, the next ZIP JAPAN event is our biggest show of the year, WrestleQuest! There are a couple of announcements to make before I reveal the official card. First, I'd like to introduce Junior Heavyweight star White Trash!>
*there is a small burst of applause at Trash steps behind the microphone and Reiko moves off to the side*
Trash: <Thanks, everyone. No point in beating around the bush, I'm here today to announce my retirement from active competition in ZIP JAPAN. (murmuring can be heard rolling through the crowd) I've had a great career here, but the time has come for me to hang up my boots. It seems like only yesterday that I was a wide eyed, loud mouthed kid from the trailer park, a two bit backyard wrestler who fluked his way into a job with one of the best wrestling promotions on the planet. Since that time, I've been lucky enough to share the ring with some true legends of the sport. I've held the ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship on 3 occasions...I wrestled Daisuke Shimura once for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship...and I even survived a one on one match with King ZIP himself!>
*there is another round of applause as Trash lists his accomplishments*
Trash: <I feel like there's nothing left for me to accomplish, and everything for me to gain by stepping aside (he winks at Reiko). My final match will be on April 20, 2018 at WrestleQuest. Reiko has graciously allowed to pick my own opponent, so I'd like to face a man I've had some of my best matches ever against: ECKO. I'd like to thank Reiko ZIP and her entire family for everything they've done for me over the years, and I want to thank the fans for their support as well, even when I didn't really deserve it.>
*Trash grins and there is more applause from the audience*
Trash: <So then, what about my future plans? Following WrestleQuest, I will be taking up my new position as a ZIP JAPAN referee! I hope this will give me the chance to stay close to the business and help develop young talent, while also providing some support to Reiko. Thanks very much.>
*Trash receives one last round of applause as he bows to the crowd and moves aside. Reiko reassumes her spot at the podium*
Reiko: <Thanks, Trash, I'm sure you'll be great as a referee. With that said, I need to address the roster situation in the Junior Heavyweight division. With White Trash's departure and HAGE's recent turn back to the dark side, there is a distinct shortage of babyfaces left in the division. So following WrestleQuest, ZIP JAPAN will be debuting two new Juniors who have been secretly training at our Yokohama dojo for the past few months. It's a pair of young American indy stars who Trash scouted during a trip back to the States...you might know them as the tag team Rekless Endangerment, Johnny Rekless and Danger Daniels! I'll be officially unveiling these additions to ZIP JAPAN ahead of their debut.>
*brief smattering of applause*
Reiko: <Now, without any further ado, allow me to present the card for April 20, 2018: ZIP JAPAN WrestleQuest!>
*the matchups are displayed on the screen overhead as Reiko runs down the card*
Reiko: <Opening the show will be an exciting juniors match between Minoru Hoshino and Shuji Tsukamoto. Following that will be a Joshi Battle Royal match featuring Momoe Ito, Hananko Yoshii, Psycho Witch, Vicki Violence, and Suki ZIP. Next up will be a grudge match featuring a returning Super Scorpio vs the man who broke his ribs and put him on the shelf, Yutaro Ichikawa. After that we'll be holding a tag match pitting two teams of fan favorites against each other: Nails n Grinds vs Blue Destiny, Jin Matsuda and Maki Yoshida.>
Reiko: <Former Heavyweight Champion GORO will face a stern test in a one on one matchup against Akira Shinjo, followed by a Four corners elimination match including Mr Suplex, Asano Kaneshiro, Donnie Doogan and Jumbo Jinzei. Following the elimination match will be White Trash's retirement match, where he will take on long time rival ECKO one last time. And then will be the conclusion of the best of three series between Darkness HAGE and Saburo Hamada.>
Reiko: <Finally, we have four huge main events, where every ZIP JAPAN title will be on the line! First up will be the Tag Team Titles, where new Champions Pure HEEL will face off against Storm of the Century! Next, dominant Junior Champion Justin Starr will defend his title in a 5 man Battle Royal against Tora Katsu, Tetsuo K, Ichiro Katagiri and Satoshi Iguchi! The penultimate match will be for the Joshi Championship, a triple threat featuring champ Aya Mizuno vs Yumi Yamaguchi vs the debuting Cutie Booties! And finally, the last match of our WrestleQuest supercard will feature ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Champion Demon Otsu defending his title against Danerous Daisuke Shimura!>
*Reiko pauses as a fresh burst of applause comes from the assembled crowd*
Reiko: <Thank you very much for your time, and I hope to see you all in attendance on April 20th for ZIP JAPAN WrestleQuest! Good day.>
*Reiko bows to the crowd to more applause as the camera fades out*

ZIP JAPAN Promo Roundup! *camera fade in on Saburo Hamada, standing in front of a banner with the WrestleQuest logo* Hamada: <HAGE-sensei! I want to thank you for this best of three series. You already taught me how to perform in the ring, but this challenge has shown me what it means to be a star. I've had to tap deep into the well of spirit within and elevate myself to be able to stand toe to toe with you, and I'm a much better wrestler for it. You may have embraced your darker nature, but you don't intimidate me any more...I've embraced my own power. Great HAGE, Darkness HAGE...it doesn't matter what you call yourself, I know it's within me to defeat you sensei, and this Friday, I'll prove to the world that I'm the better man, and the stronger competitor. Bring all the Darkness you can muster HAGE, and see if YOU have what it takes to defeat ME!>
*a ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen to transition to Wataru Nakajima and Thunder Fist standing side by side*
Nakajima: (speaking to Thunder Fist) <Well my boy, this is our big chance! This Friday at WrestleQuest, Reiko is giving us an opportunity to wrestle for the ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championships!>
*Fist is unresponsive, just staring blankly at Nakajima*
Nakajima: <You understand, don't you? Me and you, Storm of the Century, fighting Pure HEEL for the titles!>
*Nakajima motions his hands around his waist to indicate a title belt, and mimes one for Fist as well. Fist seems to get it*
Fist: FIISSSSSSST?! CHAMPION?
Nakajima: <Exactly, my boy!> FIST!
Fist: (getting excited) NAKAJEEMA FIST SMASH HEEL!!
Nakajima: <Yes you've got the idea! (to camera) Sawada and Kobayashi! You're both tough men and worthy champs, no doubt, and you were the better team the last time we faced each other at the Joshi Climax show. But this time will be different, I promise you. It's been a very long time since I tasted championship gold, and my fires are burning hotter than they have in years! You boys bring all the HEEL antics you want, and we'll see if it's enough to save your titles against my vast experience, and the unlimited power of the Thunder Fist! This Friday, the Storm of the Century will wash you both into the gutter!>
Fist: (raising his fists into the air and roaring) FIIIIISSSSSSSST!
*another ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh transitions to Ichiro Katagiri*
Katagiri: <Well Starr, it's been a long time coming. I had a long run with the ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight championship this year, and so did you. And I've fought my way back into the title picture and finally have my chance to defeat you and win back my title! While I'd rather get a shot at you one on one, I know damn well that none of Katsu, Tetsuo or Iguchi are on the same level as either of us! Once we clear the ring of those wannabes, there will be nowhere left for you to run! You're a tough guy Starr, but you haven't been tested these last months like I have. While you've been coasting your way through easy title defenses against lesser opponents, I've been slugging it out in the mid card, winning a string of brutal battles to get me to where I am now. The Knees of Death are primed and ready Starr...and when they hit you, it'll be lights out on your joke of a title reign. This Friday at WrestleQuest, the Junior Championship is coming home with me!>
*Another ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh reveals Daisuke Shimura*
Shimura: <The last time I wrestled for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship was against Donnie Doogan, and I ended up injured and out for months. I seethed on the sidelines for ages, watching as other guys did battle for the top prize in our sport. But I pulled myself back up from the bottom, got my revenge on Doogan, and now I'm back at the top of the mountain. Only one thing stands between me and my destiny....Demon Otsu. Otsu! It's your first Heavyweight Championship, and your first title defense! I know how badly you'll want to show that you deserve to be champion...I know because I've been there myself. Crazy antics aside, I know just how tough of a competitor you are, but you rely on intimidation to give you an edge in your matches. Well, I don't fear you Otsu...I've beaten you before and I can do it again! This Friday at WrestleQuest, you will be the one to know fear, as my indomitable fighting spirit powers me through the best you have to offer! You will Fear the 'Fro, and I will walk out of the arena as ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Champion! Rock n Roll!>

Results for ZIP JAPAN - WrestleQuest! - Minoru Hoshino vs Shuji Tsukamoto A fantastic match to get the night rolling, both guys working a crisp pace from the get go. Hoshino flew around and dived like a maniac, and Tsukamoto used his power to shove the veteran around. Hoshino completely no sold an IcePick and picked up a solid win with the Tiger Suplex. Joshi Battle Royal - Momoe Ito vs Hanako Yoshii vs Psycho Witch vs Vicki Violence vs Suki ZIP Chaotic action, with everyone except Momoe getting one elimination. Oddly enough getting fall in this match seemed to be the kiss of death, Hanako pinned Momoe and was quickly eliminated by Pyscho Witch's Dragon Sleeper, then Witch went down to a SukiPlex, and Vicki was there to take advantage and get the pinfall on Suki not long after. A great finish to this match with Vicki Violence no selling back to back moonsault stomps, and then smashing Suki with a turnbuckle German followed by a rapid German in the middle of the ring. Superb. Grudge match - Yutaro Ichikawa vs Super Scorpio Scorpio put up a valiant effort in his return match, but one suspects he came back a bit too soon. Yutaro Ichikawa was quick as a whip in the ring, and the second cannonball senton of the match was enough to secure a solid victory. - Nails n Grinds (Jimmy Nails/Mickey Grinds) vs Blue Destiny (Jin Matsuda/Maki Yoshida) A really high quality tag team exhibition with nothing really on the line except pride between these two teams of former Champions. Excellent action, Grinds nearly getting a tapout with the Buffalo Sleeper a couple of times, but this was Blue Destiny's night. Yoshida hit a Blue Crush on the floor at one point, and Matsuda picked up the pinfall victory over Nails. - GORO vs Akira Shinjo This was GORO reminding everyone in no uncertain terms that he isn't going anywhere after losing the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship. Shinjo started slow, trying to work GORO on the ground but he quickly abandoned that and went into beastmode, landing many savage kicks and throws. Shinjo got about 10x 2.9 counts, then GORO hit his finish out of nowhere and got the win with his first real pin attempt. What a bastard. What a match. Heavyweight Battle Royal -Mr Suplex vs Asano Kaneshiro vs Donnie Doogan vs Jumbo Jinzei This was kinda the throwaway "get everyone on the card" match, but it produced some really great moments. Mr Suplex went out early, leaving 3 monster heels in the ring to kill each other for nearly 30 more minutes. So many ridiculous moves, 2.9 counts and anti-logical saves :P In the end, Donnie Doogan was juuuust smart enough to let Kaneshiro get a pin on Jumbo to get it down to just 2 competitors, but it didn't take long for Kaneshiro to spike Donnie on his head with an Asano Bomb. Ratings for this show are amazing so far. White Trash retirement match - White Trash vs ECKO White Trash manages to go out with a victory, looking like a superstar. ECKO seemed like he was taken back by the thunderous reaction for Trash from the crowd, and never really got out of first gear. White Trash was in flippy mode, and finished ECKO off with a YardTard followed by a Canadian Destroyer shortly after. A great way to cap the career of a legendary Junior Heavyweight. Thank you White Trash! Best of 3 series final match - Darkness HAGE vs Saburo Hamada Match 3 of this series packed a ton of great action into a relatively short time, as evidenced by the rating. Darkness HAGE started like a house on fire, and was relentless throughout, hitting ranas and dives with reckless abandon. Hamada got a few spots in, but HAGE couldn't be denied, and one HAGE Firebomb later, it was all over. They had a tough spot trying to follow the emotion of White Trash's retirement, but did an admirable job. Hamada has to go back to the drawing board, but Darkness HAGE reclaims his spot in the upper echelon of Junior Heavyweights in ZIP JAPAN. ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship match - Pure HEEL (Kenji Sawada/Kenzo Kobayashi) (C) vs Storm of the Century (Wataru Nakajima/Thunder Fist) Lowest rated match on the card but fuck it, this was phenomenal. The champs were looking unbeatable coming off a HUGE victory in will's tag tourney, but the fans were firmly behind their ZIPPY Award winning tag team Storm of the Century! Both teams displayed impeccable teamwork throughout, but Nakajima nailed a huge lariat on Kenzo right in their corner and Kenji had no chance to make the save. So happy for Nakajima, this is the end of a very long journey for him, he hadn't held any gold in ZIP JAPAN since his tag team with Crusher Kodo back in the mid 2000s. The old man still has it! ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship Battle Royal - Justin Starr (C) vs Tora Katsu vs Tetsuo K vs Ichiro Katagiri vs Satoshi Iguchi Shocking result in the Junior Championship match, as Tetsuo K brought his game to a whole new level and absolutely dominated. He eliminated all 4 opponents in the match, including 3 with his devastating Fire Star Splash. Justin Starr, the long reigning champion has been dethroned, and the "K" Era has begun! Time will tell how long he can stay on top in a very competitive Junior Division. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship Triple Threat match - Aya Mizuno (C) vs Yumi Yamaguchi vs Cutie Booties No doubt this was the best Joshi match so far in ZIP JAPAN, and a more than worthy co-main event. This match was vicious stuff throughout, Cutie and Aya both trying to kick each other into orbit, with Yumi sneaking in big chops and head drops wherever she could. Yumi got the only CRIT of the night, knocking Cutie loopy with a sick Angelic Driver, and Cutie lay there on the mat with a goofy grin on her face for the rest of the match. Eventually Yumi came up just short against Aya Mizuno again, who put away the rookie with a devastating Poison Bomb to retain her Joshi Championship. ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship match - Demon Otsu (C) vs Daisuke Shimura A tremendous main event here, as both men clearly set out to do some serious damage to each other, and took full advantage of the no Countout, no DQ stipulations. Tons of brawling outside the ring, Otsu powerbombed Shimura on the floor, and Shimura returned the favor with a nasty Steiner Screwdriver on the floor. They traded some fantastic near falls down the stretch, and Otsu got the well deserved victory with the second Devil's Drop of the match. Shimura did himself proud, but I was actually glad to see Otsu pick up the win here and legitimize his victory over GORO. All in all I'm super happy with this show...the way things built toward it over the past few weeks was a lot of fun to write, and I think the promos gave a lot of the matches some real flavor...and the matches themselves did not disappoint. Ratings-wise this is up there with my best shows I think. Thanks to everyone who attended and made it as good of a time as it was, we had a solid crowd of about 20 throughout the nearly 5 hours of streaming. On that note I have to announce that ZIP JAPAN is going to have a teeny, tiny hiatus. I've been running bi-weekly shows since early August 2017 and I'm feeling a bit of burnout....and since this show was essentially the blowoff for a few big angles, this seems like a pretty good spot to take a little break. I'll probably get back on the horse by the end of May....which will also give time for the injured roster members to get back into fighting shape, and let the regulars have a bit of rest and relaxation as well. Everyone can come back fresh and ready to fire on all cylinders! Thanks very much to everyone for sticking with ZIP JAPAN this far...it will be back soon and just as kick-ass as ever!

ZIP JAPAN Announcement! *camera fades in on Reiko ZIP, seated at her desk in her office*
Reiko: <Greetings fans! After a brief hiatus, ZIP JAPAN will soon be making its triumphant comeback! I'm very pleased to announce today that ZIP JAPAN Returns! will take place on Friday May 25, 2018 at 9pm EST. All the members of the roster who were injured have had time to heal, and will be ready to return to action for the next show....and as previously mentioned during the WrestleQuest Press Conference, we will be debuting a pair of new Junior Heavyweights Johnny Rekless and Danger Daniels.>
Reiko: <I'd also like to announce that ZIP JAPAN has successfully recruited another promising young star for the Joshi Division, the "Korean Dream" Eun-jin Choi. Biographical information for these new competitors will be posted in the days leading up to ZIP JAPAN Returns! And now, let's go through the card for what is sure to be an excellent event!>
*a split screen pops up, with an image of the event card on the left and Reiko on the right*
Reiko: <To open the show, Saburo Hamada will be facing Super Scorpio! Hamada is coming off a tough loss in the best of three series with Darkness HAGE, and will be looking to regain some footing in the Juniors Division, while Scorpio will be back to his full strength after returning too soon from his broken ribs and a disappointing loss to Yutaro Ichikawa at WrestleQuest. Next up, debuting Joshi Eun-jin Choi will be teaming with fan favorite Yumi Yamaguchi to take on the formidable team of Cutie Booties and Psycho Witch.>
Reiko: <One half of the Tag Team Champions, Storm of the Century, Wataru Nakajima will be in singles action squaring off against one half of the former tag champs, Kenzo Kobayashi. After that will be another debut match, as the young American Junior Tag Team Rekless Endangerment, Johnny Rekless and Danger Daniels, will be taking on a pair of seasoned veterans in Ichiro Katagiri and Satoshi Iguchi. Then Nakajima's partner Thunder Fist will be wrestling Kenji Sawada in a singles match, to see if his incredible punching power can overcome the evil of Sawada's mustache.>
Reiko: <Capping off the first half of the card will be a triple threat match featuring three former ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Champions, as GORO, Donnie Doogan and Akira Shinjo vie to reestablish their spots in the Heavyweight Division. The evening's archive match will be from late 2008, from a live event where current ZIP JAPAN Junior Champion Tetsuo K did battle with The Firebrand Minoru Hoshino.>
Reiko: <Next, I'm ecstatic to announce that Rebecca Roxx has made a near-miraculous recovery from the spinal compression fracture she suffered at the Joshi Explosion show. Roxx will be back in action, looking for a measure of revenge against the woman who injured her, Suki ZIP! Another returning wrestler, Takeshi Kiriyama, will team with his partner Asano Kaneshiro to face Blue Destiny, Maki Yoshida and Jin Matsuda, with the winners getting the first shot at Storm of the Century's Tag Team Championships.>
Reiko: <The Number One Contender's match for the ZIP JAPAN Junior Championship will feature the legendary Darkness HAGE against the rookie phenom Yutaro Ichikawa, both of whom will be desperate to step up and earn a Title match against Tetsuo K. Next, the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship will be on the line, as dominant Champion Aya Mizuno defends her belt against the savage American Vicki Violence. And finally, ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Title holder Demon Otsu will look to continue his good form against the returning monster Mad Bomber in a huge Championship match!>
Reiko: <ZIP JAPAN Returns! looks like it should be a fantastic show! I look forward to hearing comments from some of the competitors in the coming weeks, and hope to see you all at the event on Friday May the 25th at 9pm! Thank you.>
*Reiko bows and the camera fades*
