ZIP JAPAN Promo Roundup! *camera fades in on Rebecca Roxx, standing in front of a ZIP JAPAN banner. She speaks in English and her words are translated into Japanese kanji at the bottom of the screen*
Rebecca Roxx: Well piss and damnation, my debut surely didn't go how I planned it. Very first match of the Joshi Explosion tournament, and Suki ZIP went and nearly exploded my spine! The doctors told me I was gonna need 3 to 4 months to recover...but you know what those same docs were saying after 3 to 4 weeks? Stuff like "unprecedented rate of tissue repair" and "incredible physical specimen"...so I'm coming back way before that initial timeline. And you wanna know why? I had one thought driving me during my whole recovery: Reiko promised me I could face Suki ZIP in my first match back...and I just couldn't wait. Suki, I was in the gym with a damn cervical halo, busting my ass and dreaming of getting my hands on your stringy little neck! This Friday at ZIP JAPAN Returns, in one match I'm gonna make you feel all the pain I suffered in the last couple of months! Get ready Suki, cuz this Crazy Canuck is gonna stun you outta your damn boots!
*The ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen and the camera cuts to the debuting gaijin duo of Johnny Rekless and Danger Daniels*
Johnny Rekless: Konnichiwa, everyone! I'm Johnny Rekless, and me and my boy Danger Daniels are here to make some waves in ZIP JAPAN! With the recent retirement of the legendary White Trash, I'm hoping I can pick up the slack and win over you fans with my death defying, high risk arsenal! And the first guys to feel its effects are going to be Ichiro Katagiri and Satoshi Iguchi! Tell 'em Danger!
Danger Daniels: Damn right. Even though Johnny and I are both here in ZIP JAPAN to make a name for ourselves as singles competitors, we have plenty of tag team experience working together. Iguchi and Katagiri, we've seen you guys in the ring, and we know you're a couple of selfish punks with barely any tag team matches under your belts! We can't wait to isolate one of you goons and break you down. You boys better get ready, because this Friday Rekless Endangerment is gonna make an example of you!
*Daniels points down the camera lens and a ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh transitions to the painted face of Vicki Violence in extreme closeup*
Vicki Violence: Mizuno! You're one tough bitch, I'll give you that. You powered your way through the Joshi tourney and have beaten everyone you've faced in ZIP JAPAN...but you've never faced me! I'm on a one woman mission to prove to the world that I'm the roughest, meanest chick in Japan, and that means defeating you for the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship! This Friday night, Mizuno, I'm gonna shred your ugly face and tear out your stupid green hair by the roots. I'm going to make you bleed and make you humble! I'm going to take your precious title and leave you in a heap in the ring...just try and stop me! Hahaha!
*Vicki cackles like a banshee and the ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen to reveal Darkness HAGE*
Darkness HAGE: <Hahaha, so Saburo Hamada touched the Darkness and failed to survive, so I'm one step closer to my shot at the ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship! Now there's only one little soldier left standing between me and the fulfillment of my destiny...some whelp called Yutaro Ichikawa. Ichikawa, I don't know what you're all about and I honestly don't care...all I know is that you're in the way of the fall of Darkness across the landscape of ZIP JAPAN! And once you succumb to the shadows, I'm coming for you next, Tetsuo! Soon, the Junior Championship will become one with the Darkness and return back to where it belongs...around my waist!>
*HAGE mimes a title belt around his waist as the camera fades to black*

PROMO TIME with Tomi ZIP! *camera fades in on Tomi ZIP, smiling in front of a ZIP JAPAN banner, flanked by Yumi Yamaguchi and newcomer Eun-jin Choi*
Tomi: <Hello, ZIP JAPAN fans! As all of you know, tomorrow night, Friday May 25th, marks the triumphant return of ZIP JAPAN! Three wrestlers will be making their debuts at this show, Johnny Rekless, Danger Daniels, and my first guest, Eun-jin Choi! (she turns to Eun-jin and bows) Welcome!>
Eun-jin: (smiling shyly and returning the bow) <Thank you, Tomi.>
Tomi: <Tell us a little about yourself, and what brings you to ZIP JAPAN?>
Eun-jin: (Eun-jin speaks slowly and stumbles over her words occasionally) <First off, forgive my poor Japanese. I have study in Japan for a year or so, but my language is not perfect. I am from Seoul, South Korea, and I trained as judoka from my youth. I was going into 2016 Olympics, but got bad injury and could not go...it was very sad, but eventually I decided to become joshi puro wrestler! I moved to Japan full time and have been wrestling for just over one year. I was working for another promotion and I heard about new ZIP JAPAN Joshi Division and Tournament, but I did not apply in time to get into that tournament. I wrote a very long letter to Reiko ZIP, and tell her how much I want to come here and wrestle, and after a month, Reiko invited me for a tryout in Yokohama dojo. I wrestle very well and...now I have contract for ZIP JAPAN!>
*Eun-jin is beaming with pride and smiling broadly as she finishes her story.*
Tomi: <Wonderful, we're very glad to have you here. (Tomi nods to Eun-jin and turns back to the camera) Tomorrow night, Choi-san will be teaming up with Yumi Yamaguchi to face the dangerous combination of Cutie Booties and Psycho Witch! (Tomi turns to face Yumi) Yamaguchi-san, how have you been preparing for this potentially violent encounter?>
Yumi: <Eun-jin and I have been training and working out together for a few weeks now, and I'm glad to say we have become fast friends. It helps that I can speak a little Korean, but we communicate very well, which I think will help us in our tag team match.>
Tomi: <I see. And what is your assessment of Eun-jin's in ring skill?>
Yumi: <She's a real sparkplug! She's an Olympic-level athlete so her conditioning levels are insane...she can train for hours without showing signs of exhaustion, which will serve her very well here in ZIP JAPAN. As a former judoka, of course she is very skilled at strikes, grappling and various throws, and she's also perfected a few impressive submission holds. I'm really looking forward to Fri->
*Suddenly Eun-jin's eyes go wide as she sees something off camera. Eun-jin quickly steps in front of Yumi and intercepts a pink blur as it shoots across the screen. Eun-jin torques her hips and executes a savage throw. The camera pans down to reveal Eun-jin kneeling on the neck of Cutie Booties who is face down on the ground. Eun-jin has Cutie's left arm twisted into the air, and has a vice like grip on Cutie's wrist. Cutie is squealing like a polecat and writhing around but seemingly cannot escape Eun-jin's grip. This all happens in a split second, but Tomi manages to maintain her composure*
Yumi and Tomi together: <Whoa!>
Eun-jin: (calmly, not taking her eyes off Cutie) <Yumi, who is this crazy person?>
Yumi: <It's Cutie Booties! We are facing her tomorrow night!>
Eun-jin: <Should I hurt her?>
*Choi twists Cutie's wrist slightly which causes Cutie shriek and begin cursing in German*
Yumi: <No! Let her up!>
*A look of disappointment flashes across Eun-jin's face, followed by a scowl. She leans in and speaks to Cutie as she twists Cutie's wrist again*
Eun-jin: <This is what happens when you mess with me and my friend. Tomorrow, you get more of same. (To Tomi) I think...this interview is done.>
*Eun-jin quickly jumps up and she and Yumi walk away from the set laughing. Cutie rolls around on the ground, cursing angrily and rubbing her elbow and wrist. The camera pans back up to a shocked looking Tomi*
Tomi: <Well, there you go! Tomorrow night fans, ZIP JAPAN Returns at 9pm EST! Don't miss it! Until next time, this is Tomi ZIP, signing off!>
*Tomi smiles and flashes a peace sign as the camera fades to black*

ZIP JAPAN Returns! Results: - Saburo Hamada vs Super Scorpio Solid opener with both guys earning a few near falls before Hamada hit the 2nd Macho Elbow of the match. Hamada REALLY needed this win after his defeat at the hands of Darkness HAGE. - Eun-jin Choi/Yumi Yamaguchi vs Cutie Booties/Psycho Witch A decent debut for Eun-jin Choi who got her spots in and displayed some real toughness standing toe to toe with Cutie and Psycho Witch. The star of this match however, was Yumi Yamaguchi, who CRITICAL'd Cutie Booties for the second straight show. Damn. - Kenzo Kobayashi vs Wataru Nakajima Nakajima did really well in this match, earning lots of near falls, but Kenzo went into spam mode and hit FOUR Grand Salsa Autos in a relatively short span of time, and that was that. One Tag Champ takes a loss. - Johnny Rekless/Danger Daniels vs Ichiro Katagiri/Satoshi Iguchi A fantastic debut match for Rekless Endangerment, as they competently handled a couple of seasoned ZIP JAPAN veterans. Rekless almost got into trouble late on after Katagiri hit a pair of Orbital Explosions, but Daniels was there to make the save both times. Johnny really showed off his aerial skills in this one. - Kenji Sawada vs Thunder Fist The bad night for the tag champs continues...Sawada really put on a clinic of wrestling ability against a stronger powerhouse type opponent. Both guys hit plenty of special moves and earned several near falls, but ultimately Thunder Fist was defeated. Storm of the Century looking pretty vulnerable at the moment. Triple Threat Elimination match - GORO vs Donnie Doogan vs Akira Shinjo 3 Former Heavyweight Champs all trying to earn their way back into the upper card, holding nothing back. So many suplexes to the outside and crazy head drops in this one. Doogan CRITICAL'd Shinjo with the Doogan Hammer II at 22:29 and then made relatively short work of GORO. It might be time for Donnie to step back up to the main event scene. Archive match from 2008 - Tetsuo K vs Minoru Hoshino At this point in his career, Hoshino occupied a much higher spot on the card than he does today. These guys had some great exchanges, trading swantons before Tetsuo went for his Fire Star Splash. Amazingly, Hoshino kicked out and managed to score the win a few moments later. A fun little blast from the past, but one has to wonder if Reiko intentionally picked a match from the archive where the current Junior Champion lost? - Rebecca Roxx vs Suki ZIP Rebecca came back way too soon from her spinal surgery, just in the hopes of exacting some revenge on Suki...but it didn't go well, despite dishing out a ton of violence, including 2 Stunners, Suki reigned supreme. Rebecca managed to somehow kick out after a sickening ZIP Driver, but once Suki hooked in that sleeper, the pressure on Rebecca's neck was too much. A gutsy performance that came up just short. To Determine No 1 Contender for the ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship - Green Crush (Takeshi Kiriyama/Asano Kaneshiro) vs Blue Destiny (Maki Yoshida/Jin Matsuda) Really good tag team match, with Asano dominating things early, Blue Destiny making a nice comeback during the middle section, before Kiriyama shut the door at the end. He hit a Yakuza Bomb on Matsuda and then whipped him into the corner for a Kinniku Buster right in front of Kaneshiro, and Yoshida had zero chance of making the save. Green Crush will face Storm of the Century for the Tag Team Championship at the next show. To Determine No 1 Contender for the ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship - Darkness HAGE vs Yutaro Ichikawa Some ridiculously good action in this match, especially down the stretch. Ichikawa was on a huge roll, hitting like 5 big moves in a row with a couple of taunts thrown in, before HAGE finally cut him off with a Pele Kick. This led into a strike battle which HAGE won before smashing in Ichikawa's skull with a sick looking HAGE Firebomb. What a comeback win, and a great chapter on the comeback trail for HAGE. A few months ago he was retired, now he's back in action and one win away from reclaiming the Junior Heavyweight Championship! ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Aya Mizuno (c) vs Vicki Violence Vicki was pretty overmatched here, but she did a much better job than I expected in what turned out to be a very competitive match. These two ladies beat the hell out of each other, trading German suplexes and powerbombs with reckless abandon, and Vicki even made a couple of huge dives to the outside. I loved the spot at the end where Vicki whipped Aya, hit a Manhattan drop that left Aya standing stunned, and then flipped off Aya right in her face lol. That just seemed to piss off Mizuno and she immediately smashed Vicki with her nasty Poison bomb finisher. Another strong title defense for the dominant Joshi Champ. Who can defeat her? ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Demon Otsu (c) vs Mad Bomber Just wow. Mad Bomber is finally back in action and he jumps straight into a Heavyweight Title match. These two monsters battered each other from pillar to post, nonstop big striking attacks and powerbombs galore. Several great nearfalls and Otsu picked up the victory with his devastating finisher. A superb match and a great main event to cap off the show. Otsu has looked super strong recently and I'm really pleased with how well he's cemented his top spot after dethroning GORO. It's going to take a special effort to knock Otsu off the top of the mountain. Overall a super fun event with consistently good ratings, and we've got some cool matches already set up for the next show. Thanks again to everyone who came out and supported ZIP JAPAN, it is much appreciated! Full card for the next event will be posted soon!

Results for ZIP JAPAN Storm of Darkness: - Justin Starr vs Ichiro Katagiri vs ECKO vs Johnny Rekless A really solid opening match, with all 4 guys having their moments to shine. Starr eliminated ECKO via Sky Twister, before Rekless shockingly took out Justin Starr with a superb Shooting Star Press. Great aerial eliminations...Rekless looked like he was going to make a serious statement by knocking off Katagiri, dominating the former champ down the stretch. Then Katagiri caught a Rekless kick out of nowhere and turned it into an Achilles Hold for the super rare submission victory! - Rebecca Roxx vs Cutie Booties Hoo boy, Rebecca Roxx surely needed this victory, her first in ZIP JAPAN's Joshi Division. After coming back from her neck injury arguably WAY too early, she was looking vulnerable in the early parts of this match, eating lots of strikes from Ms Booties. When a Cutie Kick got a 2.9 before the 10 minute mark, I thought this might end up being a short, one sided match. But Roxx dug down, found her second wind, and made a pretty epic comeback...securing the win with her Final Answer -> Rolling Camel Clutch priority. - Pure HEEL vs Nails n Grinds A very good tag match...about what you'd expect from these two veteran teams who have faced each other many times... Pure HEEL cheated like bastards in between kicking ten tons of ass, while Nails and Grinds relied on ruthless limbwork and nasty head drops :P Excellent back and forth with some fun outside the ring brawling that ended with a brutal reverse DDT from Mickey as Jimmy kept Sawada busy. - Danger Daniels vs Shuji Tsukamoto Unconventional Juniors match between these two guys who generally stay away from the typical flippy moves of most Juniors. This match was fast and intense, with both guys using maximum impact as often as possible. Daniels looked pretty strong, tossing Shuji around like a ragdoll at times, but Tsukamoto came out on top with a sick reversal Avalanche Chokeslam which was followed up a short time later by a Hurricane Driver. - GORO vs Jin Matsuda Well, here was the shit match of the night, ratings wise :P Hard to believe that these two feuded over the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Title a few short months ago, as this match was more or less a glorified squash. Matsuda managed to get in a couple of hope spots, but the outcome was never really in doubt for this one. Based on this evidence, GORO is ready to make the step back up to the main event scene soon. Archive match from 2010 - Demon Otsu vs Mr Suplex Current Heavyweight Champ Demon Otsu was in great form in this match from the tape library vs Mr Suplex in his younger years. Suplex threw Otsu all around (and outside) the ring several times...but Otsu just kept doing Otsu things. He utterly ignored most damage he was dealt and came back at Mr Suplex with vicious kicks and powerbombs before finishing him with the Magic Taunt -> Devil's Drop. Excellent stuff. - Hanako Yoshii vs Psycho Witch This was superb, and my pick for MOTN. Yoshii was focused intently on working the arms of the much bigger Psycho Witch, while doing her best to avoid the brutal power of her opponent. Witch hit a few big moves (including a huge Mad Splash for a scary 2.9), but you could feel how tantalizingly close Hanako was to getting the armbar submission attempts. Then suddenly out of nowhere, Psycho slapped on the Guillotine for a devastating victory. Yoshii fought to get close to the ropes but they were just out of her reach. A great finish. No1 Contenders match for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Donnie Doogan vs Maki Yoshida vs Daisuke Shimura Excellent Triple threat match, lots of double teaming and brawling on the arena floor. After some solid action, Mr Rock N Roll made Yoshida tap to the Sasori-gatami. Donnie Doogan pulled out all the stops and went buckwild on Shimura with power moves galore, including a Doogan Hammer II on the floor. It was just starting to look like Doogan was going to pull off a win, when Shimura dropped him with an elbow to the face and locked in the Reverse Kneebreaker. Next show will feature Shimura vs Otsu II for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship! They had an awesome encounter at WrestleQuest, so I have high hopes for a rematch. No1 Contenders match for the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Suki ZIP vs Yumi Yamaguchi vs Vicki Violence Back to back triple threat action...this match was Vicki Violence's time to shine. These ladies all put their bodies on the line for the chance to face Aya Mizuno, but Violence reigned supreme. She absolutely destroyed Suki's face with a Sliding V CRITICAL (the only CRIT of the show), and then less than two minutes later, pinned Yumi Yamaguchi after another Sliding V. Mizuno vs Violence II should be a barnburner if their recent match at ZIP JAPAN Returns! was anything to go by. ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship match - Green Crush vs Storm of the Century (c) Hot Damn, Storm of the Century are on fire. Green Crush got in their licks, especially Kiriyama who dished out a Yakuza Driver to each of Thunder Fist and Nakajima at different points in the match. Nakajima blustered around, no selling left and right, and Thunder Fist pummeled everything in his path. The finish was fantastic as Fist hit Asano with the KTFO Punch and pinned him while Nakajima successfully cut off Kiriyama from making the save. Storm of the Century retain their titles! ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship - Darkness HAGE vs Tetsuo K (c) A very enjoyable main event tonight, with Tetsuo K doing everything to prove the superiority of his Fire Star Splash finish. He eliminated 3 of his 4 opponents at WrestleQuest with the FSS and few finishers are as feared right now in ZIP JAPAN. HAGE is in the midst of his career resurgence (despite his heel turn), looking to reclaim the Junior championship he held for so long years ago, but despite his best efforts, he was powerless before Tetsuo K. The first FSS was in the ropes, and the second was to HAGE's back and K couldn't get the pin...however the third Fire Star of the match was perfectly placed and HAGE had no hope of kicking out. HAGE looked good in spots during this match, but Tetsuo K will be a tough man to dethrone in his current form. Thanks once again to the fans who made it out and helped make the show more fun. The "every two weeks" schedule dictates the next show should be on June 22, but I'm going to be camping that weekend, and rather than rush to do another show next week, I'm going to push back a week instead...that way I should actually have time to do some promo work leading into that event. So the next ZIP JAPAN event will be on Friday June 29 at 9pm. Card will be posted in the next couple of days, hope to see you there!

ZIP JAPAN Promo Roundup! *camera fades in on Johnny Rekless, standing in front of a ZIP JAPAN banner. He speaks in English and his words are translated into Japanese kanji at the bottom of the screen*
Johnny Rekless: I've wrestled all over the world, for dozens of different promotions during my career, and no matter how cool you are, you just can't go to that many places without pissing a few people off and making a few enemies along the way. I'm used to it. I didn't think I'd been in ZIP JAPAN long enough to piss off Reiko so much already, but apparently I have. I can't think of any other reason for her to have set me up in a match against Super Scorpio aka the ugliest mofo I have ever put my peepers on! Believe it or not, I actually wrestled Scorpio once in Mexico a couple of years ago, back before he got unmasked...wow, what a difference! Scorp, you're a quality wrestler dude, but I dunno if I can stand to look at your face for as long as it will take to beat you! Man, I might have to start a petition to get Reiko to let you crawl back under that hood! #SaveScorpiosMask! Either way dude, you get in the ring with Johnny Rekless and Imma go buck wild on you and REK DAT NECK! I'll show everyone that I'm the best up and comer in the ZIP JAPAN Juniors Division!
*Johnny grabs his chin and cracks his neck before flexing his muscles. The ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen and the camera cuts to the face of Momoe Ito in closeup, the cutaway in her mask revealing a crooked grin. The camera pulls back suddenly and Momoe flashes a double peace sign with her hands*
Momoe Ito: <Hi there, fans! Momoe here! I'm going to be facing Cutie Booties in a big singles match, and as far as I'm concerned, it'll not only determine who the better wrestler is, but who is the cutest! The way I see it, Cutie is just a big dumb gaijin who bullied Reiko into getting a contract, and has spent her time since getting her giant head knocked off by just about everyone she has faced! Not very cute, honey! This Friday night, I'll show the world that I'm more athletic, more talented, and most definitely cuter than Cutie Booties! (she flashes another big grin) So hop on board the Rocketship Kawaii...next stop, the victory circle at Days of Dominance!>
*Momoe strikes a pose and a ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh transitions to Ichiro Katagiri*
Katagiri: <Well it's taken a while but I've done it. I fell from the top of the mountain to the depths of despair, spending months plying my trade against the dregs of the company...but no longer! I've walked a path of destruction to earn back my seat at the top table of ZIP JAPAN, all that's left for me now is to reclaim my title. The only thing still between me and a title shot against Tetsuo K is the hulking form of Shuji Tsukamoto. Shuji-san! Your ability and strength aren't in doubt but you cannot possibly want this more than I do. This Friday night, I'm gonna breeze past Tskuamoto with a brutal rush of knee strikes, and poise myself to take that final step back to the peak of the Junior Heavyweight Division! I don't fear the Fire Star, and Tetsuo K's title reign will soon be nothing but a memory!>
*Katagiri has worked himself into a frenzy of bulging eyes and reddened cheeks. The ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen to reveal a smirking GORO, arms folded and wearing his shades as always*
GORO: <So Reiko booked me in a four way elimination match with 3 other wannabe contenders, huh? No problem. Meathead #1 and Meathead #2 can be dismissed outright. Meathead #1 is a one trick pony, a lunk-headed powerbomb machine there to make up the numbers. Mad Bomber is too stupid to realize which way is up, let alone win a match like this. Meathead #2 is a one dimensional sack of punching power and not much else. Thunder Fist, that crap might get you by in the Tag Team Division, but it's not enough to get you past GORO! That leaves just one guy of note: Akira Shinjo...you've been a thorn in my side in the past Shinjo, but I've brushed you aside like so much human refuse before, and I'll do it again. I'm gonna blow your washed up ass out of the ring! I'm gonna prove to Reiko that whether she likes it or not, there ain't no one in ZIP JAPAN more deserving of a World Title shot than me! Demon Otsu, I haven't forgotten what you did to me, stealing my title and derailing my momentum...and I haven't forgiven either. I'm gonna crush my opponents at Days of Dominance and then I'm coming for you, Otsu...and I won't just defeat you, I'm going to hurt you!>
*GORO storms off the set as the camera fades to black*

PROMO TIME with Tomi ZIP! *camera fades in on Tomi ZIP, smiling in front of a ZIP JAPAN banner*
Tomi: <Hello, ZIP JAPAN fans! I'm here tonight to bring you a very special interview. With me at this time are not just one, but TWO current World Champions! Please welcome the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Champion Demon Otsu, and the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champion Aya Mizuno!>
*the camera pulls back slightly to a wider shot, as Otsu enters from the left and Mizuno enters from the right and they stand on either side of Tomi. Otsu is wearing his title belt around his waist, but Mizuno's is slung casually over her shoulder*
Tomi: <Have you two met before?>
Mizuno: <Nope, haven't had the pleasure...>
*Mizuno sticks out her hand to shake with Otsu. Otsu suddenly grabs Mizuno by the wrist and turns her hand over so her palm is facing up. He leans over and slowly licks her hand from fingertips to wrist. Tomi looks on, an expression of horror creeping across her face*
Tomi: <Gross!>
*Otsu stands back and grins, his gleaming fangs showing between his red lips. Mizuno is expressionless for a split second, before returning Otsu's grin*
Mizuno: <Hah! I like this guy!>
Tomi: <Uh, yeah. So Aya, you will be defending your title for the second time against Vicki Violence...but this time, your match will be the main event of the night. Does that change your approach to the match at all?>
Mizuno: <Of course not, what a stupid question. Look, Vicki might be a big, crazy American...but I am unstoppable! You dopey ZIP sisters really fucked up when you put together your Joshi Division, especially Suki. I bet you all thought you'd bring me in as an experienced hand who could put on solid matches with the rest of the amateurs you recruited...but you never counted on me running roughshod over everyone! Friday night, I'm going to smash in Vicki's head just like last time, no matter where I get placed on the card! I'm going to keep on beating everyone Reiko puts in front of me, and my reign of dominance and destruction will echo through the ages! Nobody in ZIP JAPAN can touch me! (Mizuno pauses briefly, and grins again) Except for Demon Otsu, maybe...haha!>
*the camera cuts to a closeup of Otsu, who is leering at Aya and wiggling his eyebrows*
Tomi: <Um, OK...Well Otsu, this is the first time we've heard from you since your big title win over former Champion GORO, so I guess congratulations are in order. You'll be wrestling Daisuke Shimura this Friday, whom you've already defended your title against once, back at WrestleQuest. Any thoughts on facing the same opponent again so soon?>
*Otsu drags his eyes away from Aya and locks Tomi with an evil glare. His voice is low and gravelly and he speaks very slowly*
Otsu: <Shimura...was beaten once. Shimura...will be beaten again. I stand...unassailable...on a plane of my own creation. No one faces the Demon King of ZIP JAPAN...without sacrificing...a piece of their soul!>
Mizuno: (to herself, but audible) <Holy shit, this guy is hot.>
*Otsu looks over at Aya and theatrically holds his arm out to her. Aya grins and takes it, and the two stroll off the set, arm in arm, cackling to each other. Tomi is left standing alone with a stunned expression on her face*
Tomi: <Well, there you go! I'm not sure what the hell just happened here, but I can't imagine any good will come of it. Anyways fans, this Friday night, ZIP JAPAN presents Days of Dominance starting at 9pm EST! Don't miss it! Until next time, this is Tomi ZIP, signing off!>
*Tomi smiles and flashes a peace sign as the camera fades to black*

Days of Dominance Jun 29 results - Jumbo Jinzei vs Mr Suplex This was a great way to start the show. An unsurprisingly excellent outing from a couple of ZIP JAPAN veterans who have squared off against each other more than once in the past. Mr Suplex and Jumbo Jinzei both know each other's capabilities inside and out, resulting in some great reversal sequences. After some bruising throws and brutal open hand slaps, Suplex took it to the top and nailed a huge Avalanche German about 14 minutes in. Jumbo didn't like that and subsequently stuffed two more consecutive attempts at the move by Mr Suplex. In the end, Mr Suplex finally gave up on trying to kill Jumbo from the top and won it with a phenomenal Machine Suplex Hold. Fatal 4 way Elimination - Danger Daniels vs Satoshi Iguchi vs Yutaro Ichikawa vs Darkness HAGE Exciting Juniors action that lasted over 23 minutes before we got our first elimination. HAGE and Iguchi in particular were hitting tons of big moves, but it was Yutaro Ichikawa who made the least experienced guy in the match tap with his Minoru Special armbar. Iguchi then ended Ichikawa's night with a signature cutter before HAGE immediately put Iguchi down with the FFF Facebuster. A good night for Darkness HAGE, reclaiming some of the momentum he lost when he failed to become ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Champ at the Storm of Darkness event. - Momoe Ito vs Cutie Booties Momoe wanted to make this match all about who was cuter in the buildup, but once they got in the ring, these girls just beat the crap out of each other. Ito was looking to capitalize on a poor run of form for Cutie Booties, and hit lots of her big special moves including a Momoe Latch and Phoenixplex for a couple of 2.9s. Cutie managed to keep her head on her shoulders and do her thing, finally stopping the Rocketship Kawaii dead in her tracks with the second Cutie Kick of the match after two traded near falls like crazy down the stretch. A much needed victory for Ms Booties. - Johnny Rekless vs Super Scorpio Well, I guess the judges think Scorpio is an ugly mofo as well, as this match was much better than the rating indicates, despite being a little on the short side. I put it down to Rekless wanting to get the hell away from Scorpio as fast as possible, hitting tons of flippy moves right out of the gate, completely no selling Scorpio's Twist of Fate special, and racking up a solid victory with the second Inverted 450 of the match. At least nobody got turned to stone. Fatal 4 way Elimination - Eun-jin Choi vs Hanako Yoshii vs Rebecca Roxx vs Psycho Witch This was the match we've all been waiting for Hanako Yoshii to have since her ZIP JAPAN debut (especially Senator). This match was packed with insane action and went almost 28 minutes (with Psycho Witch and Rebecca Roxx in particular going after each other viciously), before Yoshii scored the first elimination by Armbarring the Korean judoka Eun-jin Choi out of a victory roll. Yoshii then caught the deadly Psycho Witch with an Avalanche Armbreaker, and picked up the clean sweep by flattening Roxx with her C2C double knee attack. A dominant, star-making performance from Hanako...and possibly MOTN. Archive match from 2005 - Wataru Nakajima/Crusher Kodo vs Pure HEEL (Kenji Sawada and Kenzo Kobayashi) Wow, a real endurance test in the archive match from 2005, featuring black haired Nakajima and a very young version of Pure HEEL. Kodo was involved in the early parts of this match, but gassed out after taking a nasty Schwein from Kenzo on the floor around 18 minutes in, leaving his (slightly) younger partner to do the majority of the work down the stretch. Eventually Nakajima got run down by HEEL's relentless assault, and fell to a Sawada Towerhacker Bomb. The pin happened right in front of Kodo who hilariously got in the ring and then just wandered in a circle around the pin without breaking it up. This was the sort of performance that led to Crusher Kodo deciding to hang up his boots for good in 2006. Fatal 4 way Elimination - Mad Bomber vs GORO vs Thunder Fist vs Akira Shinjo Brutal, relentless action in this one. GORO talked a lot of shit in the lead up to this show, running all 3 of his opponents down, and he started very strong, taking out the always dangerous Thunder Fist with an Olympic Slam fairly early (though most of the damage was done by an Avalanche Powerbomb courtesy of the Bomber), leaving Akira Shinjo to battle Bomber and GORO for a while on his own. GORO's luck ran out once Mad Bomber got a hold of him though, and GORO got CRITICALed by a sick Mad Rush Powerbomb, and Akira Shinjo got pinned by the exact same move seconds later. Mad Bomber making a real statement with this victory. No 1 Contender for ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship - Ichiro Katagiri vs Shuji Tsukamoto Speaking of brutality, this match delivered TONS of it. These guys seemed like they were legit trying to kill each other, Tsukamoto hitting his Ice Pick very early and Katagiri throwing his knees into Shuji's face over and over. After taking a couple of Ushigoroshi's from Tsukamoto, Katagiri really turned on his technical style, catching Tsukamoto with a surprising number of technical reversals into submission moves to turn the tide of the match. The finish was great with Katagiri hitting a Reverse Tombstone for the win, and finally earning that one on one match against Tetsuo K for the Junior Championship. Another MOTN contender. No 1 Contender for ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship - Nails n Grinds (Jimmy Nails and Mickey Grinds) vs Blue Destiny (Jin Matsuda and Maki Yoshida) Fantastic...fast paced, technical, hard hitting action of the sort I love to see from these two well oiled tag teams. Too many great spots in this match to fully recount, with both duos exhibiting some excellent teamwork throughout. If tag team wrestling is your jam, it doesn't get much better than this one. After trading many near falls and sickening head drops, Maki Yoshida finally picked up the win by crushing Jimmy Nails' neck with a shattering half nelson suplex right in the Blue Destiny corner of the ring. Blue Destiny vs Storm of the Century for the Tag Team Championships on the next show will be hot. ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Daisuke Shimura vs Demon Otsu (c) Shocking result #1 right here, as Daisuke Shimura wrestled one of the best matches of his life against the frightening Demon Otsu. He expertly cut off Otsu's offense time and time again (Otsu failed to land a single powerbomb or Devil's Drop in the match), while working the Demon's legs like crazy. Lots of leg whips and wear down kneebreaker holds were mixed in with Shimura's usual arsenal of suplexes and strikes. After a couple of attempts, Mr Rock and Roll finally locked in the Sasori-gatame in the center of the ring and forced Otsu to tap out! Spectacular upset, and now Shimura embarks on his first Heavyweight Championship run in almost 6 long years. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Vicki Violence vs Aya Mizuno (c) Shocking result #2, as Vicki Violence somehow weathered the absolute whirlwind of destruction that is Aya Mizuno. Mizuno brought all of her nastiest kicks, piledrivers, and German suplexes to the table, but the hardcore menace Vicki fought back with scythes and forks. Vicki did some nice damage down the stretch with a pair of Package Piledrivers before setting up for a spectacular finish. Violence's Avalanche Urunage left Mizuno dead center in the ring, where she ate a sick Sliding V elbow to the face. Mizuno's undefeated run in ZIP JAPAN has finally come to an end, and Vicki Violence is the new ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champion! It was a great night of sims, especially if you include all the cool stuff from the preshow and postshow matches! Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting ZIP JAPAN :D The next event will be held on Friday July 13 (ooooh, Friday the 13th lol) at the usual time. The Tag Team and Junior Heavyweight Championships will both be on the line at that show, full card will be posted in a day or two. Hope to see everyone there!

Just a heads up coming out of the Days of Dominance event: GORO and Aya Mizuno have both suffered minor injuries in their matches. GORO got a lower back injury as a result of his brutal powerbombing by Mad Bomber and will miss the next 4-6 weeks. Aya Mizuno had her shoulder dislocated when Vicki Violence delivered an Avalanche Urunage and will miss approximately 3 weeks of action.

ZIP JAPAN Promo Roundup! *camera fades in on Rebecca Roxx standing in front of a ZIP JAPAN banner. She speaks in English and her words are translated into Japanese kanji at the bottom of the screen*
Rebecca: Well, I sure as hell don't know what I did to get under the skin of Psycho Witch, but she's clearly upset with me. All you gotta do is watch the elimination match from Days of Dominance, you'll see that Witch was out to get me with a vengeance, singling me out for abuse all over the ring and the arena floor. Hanako Yoshii may have ended up having the final say in that match, but I haven't forgotten about you Psycho Witch. I've been accused of lots of things in my life, but one thing I ain't never been accused of is runnin' from a fight! Reiko's seen fit to give us a shot at each other one on one, and I aim to prove to everyone in ZIP JAPAN that I ain't afraid'a you, and I can beat your ass in the middle of the ring! 1..2..3!
*Rebecca throws up her dukes and shadow boxes for the camera for a few seconds, before a ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen. Yumi Yamaguchi is standing in front of the camera*
Yumi: <So the unstoppable champion Mizuno has been stopped, leaving Vicki Violence standing with the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship in her hands. Now I find myself vying for a Number one contender spot, against the very dangerous Hanako Yoshii. She proved how tough she is at the last show, dominating her match with deadly submissions, but I have to say I like my chances! I've been working a lot over the past few weeks with my friend Eun-jin Choi, and she's really helped me up my submission defense game. My destiny is to become the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champ, and if I manage to get past Yoshii, I'll be coming for you, Vicki...and I'm gonna drop you on your head until I achieve my goal!>
*Yumi bows to the camera and a ZIP JAPAN logo swoosh transitions to Thunder Fist and Wataru Nakajima standing side by side, both wearing their Tag Team Championship belts. Nakajima does the majority of the talking as Thunder fist lurks menacingly*
Nakajima: <This Friday night at Heat Wave, Fist and I are defending our Tag Team Championship against the team of Blue Destiny. Our individual results have been up and down over the past few shows, but when Thunder Fist and I are together in the ring, we just seem to click. We've got that intangible X-factor that makes us a successful team, accenting each others strengths and covering for each others weaknesses. Maki Yoshida and Jin Matsuda of Blue Destiny are both very accomplished wrestlers and we don't take their challenge lightly at all...but Fist and I are both brimming with the kind of confidence that only comes with holding the gold! (Nakajima pats his title belt, which is covering most of his belly) Thunder Fist and I have only been getting closer every week, bonding inside the ring and out of it, learning to communicate better than ever. (Nakajima gives Fist a little punch on the arm and speaks to him directly) Tell them, Fist! Tell them what you've learned!>
Thunder Fist: (in broken but understandable Japanese) <NAKAJEEMA FIST are best team in ZIP JAPAN! We smash Blue Destiny and win! We be champions...forever!>
*Nakajima beams with a pride and claps Thunder Fist heartily on the back. The ZIP JAPAN logo swooshes across the screen to reveal a sour faced Aya Mizuno, her left shoulder heavily taped*
Aya: <OK. Game fucking on. Vicki Violence caught me in a split second of weakness, and I paid the ultimate price for it. Rest assured it will NOT happen again. To make things worse, my man Demon Otsu lost his championship as well...all in all it could have been a better night for us. We were meant to be a dominating power couple, owning the promotions top titles and lording it over everyone...but now we are both angry and hungry, and back in the title chase. Otsu should have no problems getting past Mad Bomber and Donnie Doogan this Friday, and he'll get his revenge on Daisuke Shimura before you know it. I'm gonna miss the Heat Wave show due to my shoulder injury, but as soon as I return, I'll be gunning for the Joshi champion, whether it's Vicki Violence, Hanako Yoshii or Yumi Yamaguchi. I can beat any one of you bitches, so getting back my championship is just a matter of time. See you soon, ladies!>
*Mizuno blows a kiss at the camera, and then suddenly sprays a burst of green mist onto the lens, completely obscuring the image before the screen slowly fades to black*

ZIP JAPAN Heat Wave is in the books, and what a show it was. Thanks very much to the folks who came to watch, and to the random raiders who temporarily boosted my stream up to nearly 30 viewers lol. I normally don't pimp my preshows too hard, as I mostly use them to book fun dream matches in a non-canon environment, but this particular preshow was something special. 5 matches, every one rated 100%. If you wanna watch it, the Twitch archive is here: www.twitch.tv/videos/284350580for the record, the preshow card is below in the spoiler box Mascara Americana (Blehschmidt) vs American Mullet (Zealot) Meow Mask (magmadiver) vs El Pollo Gigante (MrRezister) vs Flamingo (pandakid) vs Ostrich (some guy) vs Pingu (some other guy) Frygid Winters (Dawnbreaker) vs Polaris (will) Lilith Brooks (Phimeek) vs Vivid Vivian Vaughn (Bowgetta) Marissa Maples (Prof Voodoo) and Canadian Grizzly (Senator) vs Megan Van Horne (Hana) and Uncle Slam (pandakid) And now on to the main course :P ZIP JAPAN Heat Wave is currently archived here on Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/284378971ZIP JAPAN Heat Wave results: - Super Scorpio vs Tora Katsu Pretty much a squash match. Scorpio focused all his rage that has been building since he lost his mask, got injured and got his ass kicked in a series of matches against Yutaro Ichikawa, and took it all out on poor Tora Katsu. Katsu barely got a look in here sadly, and Scorpio stopped him dead with a couple of moonsaults and a moonsault stomp. - Eun-jin Choi vs Cutie Booties Super lady fight action, a real back and forth battle here. Cutie started strong with lots of kicks, while Choi focused on her legwork, trying to keep Cutie off her feet. Choi hit a Seoul Breaker for a 2.9 and when that didn't work she went back to the legs. Eun-jin managed to hit her Gory bomb -> Cross Kneebreaker prio, but Cutie somehow escaped to the ropes and immediately nailed a Cutie Kick to pick up the victory. Triple Threat Elimination match - Mr. Suplex vs Mickey Grinds vs Kenji Sawada Interesting dynamic in this match, a group of solid veterans, but two of them tag specialists without their usual partners. Kenji CRITICAL'd poor Mickey with his nasty Evil Clutch Piledriver, and hit Mr Suplex on the arena floor with the same move. Mr Suplex is used to getting dropped on his head though, after so many years in ZIP JAPAN. He shrugged it off and got Sawada in the center of the ring with his version of the Genki Raiga-plex for the win. Very satisfying. - Saburo Hamada and Yutaro Ichikawa vs Shuji Tsukamoto and Satoshi Iguchi Pretty solid tag match here, all 4 guys getting their moment in the sun and hitting plenty of offense. Ichikawa in particular was impressive, hitting a couple of towering Cannonballs for near falls. In the end, Hamada got a slice of luck, hitting a big German Suplex on Tsukamoto in the middle of the ring while Iguchi was being kept busy. Enjoyable if not exceptional. - Rebecca Roxx vs Psycho Witch This Joshi match was stacked with brutality. Rebecca moved around the ring exceptionally well for someone who took a savage beating last show and is also just back from having major neck surgery, and she scored big with a few dives during the match. However, Psycho Witch hit TWO exploders from the top rope to the arena floor, then a Mad Splash dive, and THEN a belly to belly from the apron to the floor. It was pretty damn sick. To top it off Witch got into a spirit punch battle with Roxx, busted her open, then made her tap out to the Dragon Clutch and left her in a bloody heap in the ring. Ugly. Archive Match from 2007 - Daisuke Shimura vs Kintaro Well hot damn, I honestly didn't give Shimura much of a chance here, but he proved he could bring the goods even against a living legend like Kintaro. Kintaro hit all his best stuff including a Fisherman Express and his huge Kinniku Buster, but Shimura just took it all in stride and came back like a house of fire. Shimura worked the legs like crazy, desperate to land a submission victory via Sasori-gatame, but in the end managed to score a clean pinfall with a German Suplex after 30 minutes of action. This match would've been the sort of thing that catapulted Shimura to the main event scene back in the day. Fatal 4 Way Elimination match - Johnny Rekless vs Justin Starr vs ECKO vs Darkness HAGE Darkness HAGE was certainly in a foul mood tonight, making Justin Starr tap in under 17 minutes to the Sharpshooter leaving the other 3 to duke it out for almost another 20 minutes. Rekless looked particularly good, nailing most of his big moves at least once, and generally staying out of the way during the "let's kill each other on the arena floor" segment of the match, but in the end HAGE eliminated everyone. The Dark One used his HAGE Firebomb to deliver a sickening CRITICAL to Rekless before finishing off ECKO with his signature FFF facebuster. With HAGE apparently on the warpath, everyone else in the Junior Division has to be on alert. No 1 Contender match for ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Hanako Yoshii vs Yumi Yamaguchi What a match this was. Super high drama, with Yoshii working the arms throughout and fighting through the pain of being repeatedly dumped on her head at awkward angles by Yumi Yamaguchi. Tons of gnarly bumps in this one, and dives from both girls and several 2.9 counts down the stretch. Hanako survived TWO Angelic Drivers, and pretty much no sold a powerbomb to deliver a victory roll armbar for the submission victory...it easily could've gone either way, this was probably MOTN. This or the Juniors Title match. Triple Threat Elimination match to determine No 1 Contender for ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Mad Bomber vs Donnie Doogan vs Demon Otsu Demon Otsu suffered a minor blip when he lost the Heavyweight Championship to Shimura last show, but he was right back on his horse tonight. This match was a huge hossfest of powerful, brutish heels, and Otsu proved to be the hossiest of hosses. He showed Mad Bomber how it was done, eliminating both Doogan and Bomber with a couple of Powerbomb variations. Next show will feature Otsu vs Shimura III for the Heavyweight crown, I'm sure the rubber match will be just as awesome as their previous two encounters. ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship match - Blue Destiny (Maki Yoshida and Jin Matsuda) vs Storm of the Century (Thunder Fist and Wataru Nakajima) (C) Super deflating :( I was really hoping for SotC to retain here and have a long run, but it was not in the cards. The match was building nicely, but just as it was getting really good, it ended suddenly with a Matsuda rollup right in front of Nakajima's corner. Nakajima came in to make the save, but just stood there and didn't break up the pin. It was weird, not sure where SotC go from here. Nakajima/Fist are still the Champions of our hearts though :P ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship match - Ichiro Katagiri vs Tetsuo K (C) Our other real MOTN contender, as Katagiri finally completed his lengthy quest to regain the ZIP JAPAN Junior Championship after many months of toil in the lower and midcard. This match was fast paced and super violent, both guys going balls to the wall to get the victory, kicking and kneeing the ever loving crap out of each other. They traded finishers like crazy, but Katagiri survived THREE Tetsuo Fire Star Splashes and achieved his goal via a nasty Reverse Tombstone piledriver. Like others said in the chat, I can't wait to hear Katagiri's first promo after this glorious victory. All in all a really good show with a couple of super amazing moments, and a couple of not so great moments :P Still, between the preshow and the main card, we had a total of 16 matches and 11 x 100% ratings. I'll take that any day :D Thanks again to the peeps who support ZIP JAPAN, we'll do it again in a couple of weeks. Next show will be on Friday July 27, 2018 at 9pm EST, full card will be announced soon!

Notice: This thread is now open for service
In the interest of tidying things up, I've only ported over my own posts of bios, match cards, promos and results from the old FPWArena.
This is not to imply in any way that I do not value or appreciate the comments and discussion of other users that surrounded the past shows, and hope people will continue to participate in the ZIP JAPAN thread as they always did. The first few pages will simply consist of a relatively concise summary of the past year, before it sprawls back into an organic discussion of current goings-on.
Welcome back to ZIP JAPAN!
