So much for that schedule. This is, perhaps, the biggest head scratcher of them all. That release schedule was... relatively new. I don't even understand the mishandling anymore. I get it, Spike has other things to worry about, but my god, just finish the commitment to this one and move on instead of drag it out like this. Yeah, I get it, "be thankful to even get a game/DLC/updates," whatever. That's great, sure, but Fire Promoter was promised and teased for being released in January, now it's officially delayed at least a year. Who cares at this point? Just kinda silly.

Yeah, I'm kind of odded out by this, since they JUST announced the "late 2018/early 2019" thing last month.
That said, I'd be more worked up about it if I'd pre-paid for DLC.
I have 800 hours into a game I plaid 20 bucks for (well, 40 now with the NJ DLC). I've gotten my money's worth.

Specifically, the Fire Promoter delays are odd. Carl got enough of the code in 1.02 working to make Fire Promoter fully functional, complete with all the gba functionality (minus logos) and inclusion of custom rosters; I've played it.
It seems like the only thing left to complete would be the look and feel, which Spike showed off in an article about two months ago. Just release something to quell the complaints, and tighten it up with later updates.

Admittedly, I didn't play it for very long but what I did see was basically a 1:1 conversion of the gba mode. The way it handles the creation of a free agent pool is encouraging though, it creates different groups of free agents by region based on a wrestler's country of origin. So, it's not just pulling wrestlers at random.

Perhaps that GBA port was just the base and they intended to add the features we requested.

This The original gba game let you use custom edits and make your own promotion(possibly plural i dont remember.) However once you started a new file for the mode no edits could be made to any character involved.

Anyone else catch the news of Matsumoto apparently saying a move and edit part creation tool might be coming in the future?
