So Fire Promoter will be an entire year late. Give us some new info, and screens at least throw us a bone.
New venues sounds good though. :)
As for new moves, I've been watching some TJPW via DDT's youtube channel (they post full shows with english voice over) and I'm doubling down on my JOSHI moves and parts request. :D

Here's my thoughts
- It's great that they've finally released a roadmap for the future of Fire Pro to the public. Having to piece everything together all the information from various media sources was terrible. - It's surprising that NJPW Junior Heavyweight is slated for early 2019. A good surprising though. If you would've asked me yesterday, I would've guessed that it was coming in late Q4 with the entire Fire Pro experiment wrapping up by March. While it's possible that it could still wrap by that date, the fact that the roadmap isn't so crunched is a good sign. - It's weird that they still won't acknowledge the name of the third DLC even though it's been leaked. You'd think they'd want to gently let down the people expecting Bullet Club/ROH/CMLL but whatever. - Personally I don't care about online and I wish they would quit devoting resources to trying to fix it. They'll never be able to get it up to people's expectations. - More UI improvements are good. - Improving load times. I'm guessing this is a PS4 thing? I've never had issues with load times on PC outside of wrestlers loading during the character select/matchup screens. - Custom music and new moves was already known. - New venues. That's the biggest shocker. There's been no hints of that. Fingers crossed they hit some of the highly requested venues like a small gymnasium or an outdoor arena...or that they surprise us with something we didn't even know we wanted.
Overall, cool.

I'm glad to see this news.
The UI updates are needed but I think we may be disappointed. That is because it would take a lot for them to do what many of us really want which is essentially implementing FPR-style "one stop shopping" with edit/group organization in one screen. Anything short of that won't really fix what is a pretty messy edit mode.
I don't see them doing that without needing to rebuild like everything and bug test for an entirely new early access window. But I'm glad they seem to realize the UI is messy in Edit Wrestler management because it's awful and time wasting. Having to exit out of an edit and then start the loading process all over again to load another edit is SOOO bad compared to FPR where you could go in and out of edits (& select u) at will without any loading time and without leaving the core edit wrestler menu.
I've noticed significant increase in loading time for the PC version since 2.0. It's not horrible but loading matches takes probably 50% longer than it used to. It also takes much longer to load wrestler images when choosing them on the player select screen for matches. Loading edits in edit mode is the same as it used to be.
I'm very happy about new venues and am hopefully we'll see a lot of variety with the new ones. I also really hope we get a small gym or outdoor arena: one for day and one for night.

More than likely Budokan (Brubokun?) will be one of the new venues. Super secret surprise shocker would be either a Bingo Hall or a certain venue in Reseda, California.

I would love to see some of the old Fire Pro venues not in the game brought back, but I'm not going to complain either way.

I'm happy they're planning more venues. :) Don't get me wrong, everything else is also good. But I'm really looking forward to some new places to sim matches from.

It also takes much longer to load wrestler images when choosing them on the player select screen for matches. Loading edits in edit mode is the same as it used to be. I really hope the animated chains and things aren't what's making the game load slower. It causes freezes in certain menus from time to time (I'm pretty sure we've discussed this a few times), and the loop loading causes the freeze. Realistically though, I'm not entirely sure what's causing the delay, because it could be any number of things. I've also noticed that edit images take much longer to load, and it also freezes the edit selection screen when selecting edits in a large group, promotion, or stable. I've had the whole selection screen just straight up freeze on me for five seconds at a time. Sometimes I can't even pick an edit because of the delay. It's pretty annoying, really. Beyond, what is mostly Menu lag, the load times haven't been too much worse for me. Usually the first match takes longer than the rest to load properly, but beyond that, it's pretty smooth. At least for me, anyways. I generally only use the same ref and arena when I'm simming, so maybe the game is holding those images in a cache and doesn't need to load additional sprites each time.

Finally some news about Fire Promoter. I've been admittedly lacking in my Fire Pro-ing in recent weeks after moving and working through a few book deadlines. That has the juice to bring me back.

Having "2017" in the name of the DLC that is scheduled for 2019 is somewhat ridiculous, I would at least change the name.
I am very encouraged by the UI changes, especially since they specifically mentioned edit management. Was kinda hoping to see tweaks to gameplay in the roadmap (like making the cage match playable, etc) but all things considered, I'll take what they give at this point.

Venues is a great addition - it is a bonus that I didn’t expect
Hopefully fire promoter at least brings unspecified updates like custom faction logos..
Really good to see the roadmap spec’d out.. exciting next six months or so :)

Glad to have some news that address all my main concerns. Loading on the choose wrestler screen definitely could use some improvement as it takes forever to look through rosters. More UI stuff in the edit menus would be fantasic, I agree with others about going back to how it was in returns if it is possible. I hope they add back in the old areas from Returns, I really miss them.

I'd love to see an option for random rings and possibly attire selections.
If I'm running a large league it would be cool to not see the same rings and attires every match.
Just a thought.
