To be fair, it was retarded when they started the Yano SANADA match on the ramp and he almost got counted out.

I'm always the odd man out but I really didn't think the Ishii/Omega match was that good. Ishii put forth a tremendous performance but he can't outweigh all the bullshit about Kenny that annoys me and that's what's killed basically every match they've had for me. Ibushi/Naito, on the other hand, was great but I thought a step below the match from last year.

I think that I liked Ibushi/Naito this year over last year, if only because it had less ZOMG WTF spots.

I like Kenny, but I get the criticisms and think theyre legit. His facial expressions, especially when selling, are bad and his match layouts are a little overrated given how he spams v-triggers to death in every match. That said i love the okada series, and I loved his match with iishi and Naito this G1. His athetism, match pacing, and ability to get good matches with most anyone outweighs the negatives for me.

I think his matches begin to become a bit pritictable. I like him don’t get me wrong his brilliant but he over does it on certain things

See, I don't think it's true that Kenny can have good matches with anyone. If anything, a primary criticism I would have of Kenny is his inflexibility and that he only really has great matches with a few people (notably Okada, Naito, Goto, and Ishii), and lacks the ability to carry someone well.

You could be right, but you are basically listing almost all the oppoents hes had in the last year. His match with Jericho was also good, and his tag match with the young bucks was awesome. The two Cody matches were less than great, and I probably put that more on Cody given his in ring work has never impressed me. I do think calling him the best wrestler alive and giving his matches 15 stars is silly. But I also think he’s an entertaining worker with the ability to have awesome matches.

That Jericho match was good for like the first 15 minutes and went to shit when Omega cold sprayed his dick and the match became about big movez. He's terrible at working anything that's supposed to resemble a fight. Fucking watch the first 10 seconds when he and Jericho do the stupid hockey punches. He's literally just swinging his arm around in a circle and it's not even close to Jericho's head. The only good matches he has are with people who are, and I'll get shit for this but fuck it, able to carry him and offset his stupidity and those guys are very few and far between. If Tomohiro Ishii can't make me enjoy you, I'm sorry, but you fucking suck.
And don't get me started on that Young Bucks match with the stupid forced over the top Shawn Michaels esque ACT-ting bullshit. That match is proof positive that HBK is the worst thing to happen to pro wrestling because his influence lead to shit like that. Fuck that match.

Surprised to see on this board so much dislike of Kenny Omega way of working matches. I understand his mix of comedy and serious style may not be everyone cup of tea, but considering how much the guy usually entertains me (though i didn't like his match with Jericho from the start to the end) it's still surprising to read that here.
While not the best wrestler ever (as it's obviously Jushin Liger :D ) , he's still a very good one.

Hiroshi Tanahashi has won the A Block after going to a 30 minute draw with Okada. What a fucking match.

B Block spoilers (edit: well, A Block spoilers too) Ibushi beat Kenny. With Naito losing to ZSJ, Ibushi wins the tiebreaker and goes on to meet Tanahashi in the finals tomorrow.
Ibushi vs. Kenny was awesome, and so was Ishii vs. Sanada. I'd say Ishii was definitely the MVP of this G1.

Ibushi and Omega delivered a fantastic match.
Though i thought they would play more drama than they did considering their Golden Lover association, but fortunately for my taste they kept it to the minimum as after +/- 1 mn of making sad faces they finally started to try to destroy each other in the ring for near 30mn, as Ibushi had no other choice due to the balcony being forbidden for him.
Not sure why they had the Young Bucks at ringside during that match, as the Bullet Club threat had already been removed early in the night when they got expelled from the building for 3 month, conveniently until the World Tag League 2018, maybe they were protecting the young lions around the ring in case Suzuki showed up to beat down some of them :D

I wasn't as high on Tanahashi vs Okada. It just feels, well like a match. A good one, but nothing more. Maybe I had an off day while watching it idk.
Naito vs ZSJ was absolutely fantastic. Such a great match and the ending had me in shock.
Ibushi is just like Griffith from Berserk. Appears so gentle until he sells his soul to the god hand and turns into Femto. Then it's all out murder. Same way he was in the Ishii match.
I loved this match. Him and Kenny never really had a point where they didn't feel like killing the other guy, which I'm glad for. All out balls to the wall brutality. Loved it.

Ibushi and Omega sure did a whole lot of moves, none of which meant anything or really got sold very well at all. Naito/Ibushi and Ishii/Ibushi were far better matches.
