I am just starting to get into New Japan and boy have I liked what I have seen so far. It's really good. I am trying to get into watching more promotions than just WWE.

NJPW is a lot of fun on many different levels. You will enjoy it. And I guess strong style in it's current interpretation is quite accessible as well.

Fukuro and myself had that conversation couple of days ago. Fans of the old AJPW/NOAH/NJPW (NJPW with guys like Fujinami f.e.) stuff might be entertained with todays New Japan product, but not as entertained than a decade ago, but you can't say that NJPW isn't as great as the old days. They evolved their product to a new crowd to the west of Japan. There is a reason why New Japan is on top of the mountain and not All Japan or NOAH.

All Japan can also be great, but it's more hit and miss. But when it hits, it's great. Like Doering vs Zeus from 1.3.2018. Such a great match!

I started really following New Japan within the past year and really like it. At first I really didn't care for all the Bullet Club stuff going on, but it has grown on me since the Ibushi/Omega re-teaming angle started.
A lot of good matches in the G-1 so far this year.

Announcement concerning Tama Tonga"NJPW takes actions taken by our wrestlers seriously. In light of recent inappropriate conduct by Tama Tonga including SNS usage, the company has decided to take disciplinary actions against said wrestlers, and will issue updated guidelines to all wrestlers."

Some people suggested that it was this : www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEPaL38xbGAwith Tama Tonga taking the annoying fan (as apparently the guy have been reported as screaming various insults to every wrestlers coming) by the throat that triggered NJPW decision in order to avoid possible lawsuit. But it looks so much like a part of the show as poor Yoshi Hashi came to the rescue only to meet a chair, that it's hard to tell what's kayfabe and what's not. If it was not a work, i think Tama should have made a much more angry face to actually make it looks like it was part of the spectacle, it would have looked better especially with him being a heel :) That or go all the way and actually use the chair :D Go the Stan Hansen way www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV_cpL4_2Io&t=1m7s

What's sns? Social Networking Sites. He went on a pretty crazy Twitter rant the other day where he told a military veteran, who mentioned he lost friends in war, it should've been him who died. I'm sure it's related to the incident Rangerh mentioned as well, though that did seem like a work when watching it.

Kenny Omega vs Toru Yano was absolute genius.
Their match last year was some good fun, but they have managed to get it even better this year. Without spoiling in case someone is waiting to watch it, that match showed how run-ins can be used to great effect in the story sequences of a match.
Toru Yano had a truly great G1 this year.

Tama did some shit. And it's all your fault cuz y'all snitched on him. Lol
Naito and SANADA was a fantastic match, not moty calibur but it was great from the story point of LIJ but also two guys that trained under Mutoh but lead much different paths to get where they are now. I can see SANADA really breaking out next year. I see big things for him after wrestle kingdom.

SANADA has had a really under the radar great G1. The irony is that I saw a group of fans openly talking about how he was the "worst" because of a one minute stretch in the Ibushi match where they were fighting on the ramp and were kind of meandering. It just reminds me that wrestling fandom can be incredibly stupid. Sanada/ZSJ and Sanada/Yano were really, really great and if you can't see him blossoming into an actual star, I dunno.
