Besides getting back into Fire Pro World to create new Parts Craft pieces, I've made it a mission to reach the final playthrough with every Wrestler and tag team in Super Fire Pro-Wrestling 2.
SFPW2 has smarter enemies, new bosses, the first Fire Pro with Criticals, and if you're playing through the singles division ...one of the most toughest tournaments ever: the 2 on 1 handicap tornado tag team tournament.
If you thought challenging the SFPW2 CPU was tough with 1 on 1 matches, oh boy ...try taking on two tough opponents at once.

Also picked up a retro 16 bit style Detective RPG called Pixel Noir which looked interesting. I was interested in that too. Have you had a chance to play it yet? I've spent a lot of time on Steam this summer trying out free demos of new games (with a ton of new stuff on my wishlist as a result) and also digging into my old catalogue. Been playing Curse of Monkey Island and rediscovering why it's arguably my favorite of the series.

I'm bouncing between Helldivers II and Lunark at the moment, although I should have Lunark beaten pretty soon.

Wow, I had never heard of Lunark before. It looks really cool!! 😎
From the preview videos on Steam, it reminds me of original Prince of Persia, some Pitfall, and a few other influences.
Looks like there's a demo of it too.

Looks like there's a demo of it too. Yeah, it's definitely close to the original Flashback as well. Same kinda story involving aliens and conspiracies. I don't think it's a long game, I'm sure I'm at least 50% through it.
EDIT: Finished Lunark today and actually started Lacuna which was in my game library next to Lunark. I don't even remember when I bought it, probably during a sale or something and completely forgot about it. I figured I start it and see what it was all about and I didn't stop playing for a good four hours. It's actually on sale on Steam now for only a few bucks.
A really innovative and surprisingly in depth detective game done in pixel art style but also in a cyberpunk setting somewhere between Blade Runner and The Expanse. Not set on Earth at all but a completely different universe you play as a chain smoking CDI Agent. Basically an FBI agent in this universe where you actually get to do a lot of investigating and detective work. From questioning suspects to searching crime scenes for clues you're given a lot of multiple choice scenario's on how you want to approach a problem, which I'm sure changes the story line or ending of the game depending on what you do. Only at the beginning of the game but already rated it 5 stars on PSN.

I guess it's been out a while, but I only noticed the PS5 upgrade to CloudPunk recently. All I can say is wow, talk about a visual upgrade. Been checking it out and am just loving it. This is one of those games you can spend an hour just driving around listening to the music. Even first person mode in the HOVA's is fantastic with each model having its own unique console design. Even out of vehicle walking around the environment is quite captivating in rainy neon and fog. May even put on the Blade Runner soundtrack when I'm off shift and unwind just flying around picking up collectibles.

Captain's log day 384:
- After playing on and off for years, I discovered that Super Fire Pro-Wrestling Special keeps track of 65,000 wins/losses/matches a player competes in. That would take roughly 109 years to sit through if one match of Special was played every day.
- I also discovered a code that works on all sequels of Fire Pro found on the Super Famicom (even the Joshi ports) that renders the opponents with zero health.
- Currently, I'm beating Final Bout and Easy Type with all 64 Wrestlers and tag teams. Yes, that means playing through the same game, with the same roster twice. The Passwords of my progress to the final levels for each Wrestler/team is being posted in the Classic section, should anyone wish for a shortcut or two in their own playthroughs.
- I figured such insane, fanatical levels of Fire Pro obsessiveness would be appreciated here.
- In case I reach the point of no return, I end this log by stating that I can still hear the Final Bout match results theme in my sleep.
Captain S.M. signing out.

Anyone try out UFO 50 at all? It just came out. It's a collection of 50 games with complexity ranging from simple 80's arcade style to NES game. The story within the game is that the collection is like a long lost console. I haven't had a chance to play all of the games but what I've played so far is pretty fun. I'm digging Grimstone which is an RPG with a wild west/demonic vibe.

I thought it was dead until this summer when they finally talked about it again. Because of the time I have right now I've really just played some of the arcade games and I've enjoyed them. I'm excited to dig into those longer games they have some fun twists on games.

Gotta go play some Vampire Saviours now… 🧄 ✝️🦇 I bought it like a year ago on sale because I hear it's fantastic on steam deck, and I haven't played it yet for this exact reason. I almost didn't buy it because of this reason. Keep thinking about buying the dlc when they are on sale though.

Grimstone is fun and definitely worth playing. There were a few other adventure games I've played but none really made an impression on me just yet. I feel like there's a Pitfall clone in there I'm waiting to find. Also, the Samurai pong/tennis style game was kind of fun for short bursts.

Latest Helldivers II patch sees a 1600% player boost. Latest major order finished and now the space station is under construction.
Supposedly this will act as a social hub for the upcoming Clan system where Helldivers can form their own Battalions. Leaker says first platoon strategems will be: Carpet Bombing, 10,000KG Atomic Bomb, Medical Supply Pod, SEAF Reinforcements (5 man AI squad of soldiers), Missile Silo (Deploy a mini missile silo), Heavy MG manual defensive turret, and a new Clan ranking system.
