I completed Super Fire Pro-Wrestling with all 24 Wrestlers and tag teams. In the singles division, that's 41 consecutive matches per character. 17 if you play through the tag division of World Championship mode.. The longest match happened between two UWF veterans... It was the 18th match of the second playthrough (hard mode). Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs Akira Maeda. Grappling Maeda at this difficulty was out of the question; distance was needed with well-paced kicks and shoulder blocks. When Maeda fell to the ground, the heated striker was punished with grounded submission holds to whittle down Maeda's defence. In SFPW1, Fujiwara's finisher is the Achilles Tendon Lock (A at feet of downed opponent - face up). A move that, when executed, triggers a cackle from Fujiwara. At first, Maeda seemed impervious to damage. What feeble attempts the Submission master foisted upon the RINGS posterboy appeared fruitless, but with each cackle, Maeda's defence gradually
weakened.
Before long, Maeda's arms had slumped to their sides. It would be another game before Criticals were added for submission holds, dragging the match out to an impressive demonstration of limb stretching before an attentive audience.
The battle raged on, kicks and slaps were exchanged between both competitors, and eventually, the haggard Maeda began falling to the mat with the simplest of swipes. The process, while monotonous, became methodical in a trance-like state. For each time the quick kicker rose to his feet, his figure was sent falling to the mat for more submissions. 12 minutes of finishers later and Fujiwara had
superseded 'the World Fighting King'.
The second playthrough continued with bouts between Big Van Vader, Hulk Hogan and then the secret boss himself: Rikidozan; before Fujiwara was crowned the champion of champions in Super Fire Pro -Wrestling.
"Heeeere's YOSHI!" - Scene from The Submissioning.
33 years later, Maeda can still vividly hear the cackles of one Yoshiaki Fujiwara. The damage of which lives on in a special place within the back of Maeda's mind, inspiring the shoot fighting legend to check
under his bed three times every night before falling asleep.

Since I beat Super Fire Pro-Wrestling with every Wrestler and tag team, I since graduated to the sequel: Super Fire Pro-Wrestling 2. SFPW2 was the first game with Criticals - which only Yoshiaki Fujiwara could use. SFPW2 also marked the debut of Smasher 'Gam Gam' Gigas (Bam Bam Bigelow), Ken Budo (Keiji Mutoh), Rick Gray (Dutch Shoot Fighter Dick Vrij), and my personal favourite Abdul The Danger (Abdullah The Butcher).
After all these years, I finally noticed that SFPW2 was also the first game to feature Wrestlers breathing when they are laying on the ground. Just seeing Wrestlers lay motionless from past games suddenly feels off.
At the moment, I just beat hard mode with Abdullah and Tiger Jeet. Abdullah is actually one of the strongest Wrestlers in the game, while Tiger remains low tier. Though, Abdullah doesn't have a ground submission to win matches, Tiger's signature Cobra Claw finisher more than makes up for it.

Infinite Craft is a good timewaster. It's fun adding stuff to other stuff to make new stuff. Also, I'm the one who first discovered Tiger Suplex! (https://imgur.com/a/xMPgQGG) Also, how do you post images here?

61 hours into Ghost of Tsushima and only 58% through it. Nearly finished the Iki island content and ready to head back to Tsushima and finish the main game.
Helldivers 2 also has nearly 90 hours logged so far.

With all the short lived hype around Star Wars Battlefront Classics, I've been messing a bit with the PS2 version of Star Wars Battlefront II I have. Started a new Rise of the Empire save. I love this game, it's always been an all time favorite game of mine.

A hacker friend and I went through Fire Pro Wrestling 3 Legend Bout to see if Giant Baba was actually hidden in the game code or not.
There were five bonus slots. The first four being the unlockable bosses Gotch, Thesz, Destroyer and Rikidozan. The fifth slot was a blank character. Turns out, it was just an extra slot for custom Edit Wrestlers; a new feature for the Fire Pro series at the time.
Going through the rest of the 255 addresses, Giant Baba is still nowhere to be found as a playable character.

I think I'm finally done playing Baldur's Gate 3....it's has literally been the only game I've played since I picked it up in December. I've logged about 500 hours across 9 complete playthroughs. I'm pretty sure I saw every possible combination of cutscenes lol.
This sort of character-heavy, story-dominated game, focused on turn based combat isn't really for everyone, but man, it scratched an itch for me in a perfect way. What a game, probably my favorite of all time. After playing RDR2 in 2018, I said it would be a long time before anything topped it in my mind....and here we are. It took 5 years.
I'm in that depression zone now where I've experienced 100% of the content of a game I love, and have no reason to replay it again, but haven't found anything else to replace it yet. lol

After a hacking code was recently discovered that unlocks Carlos Krauzer and RJ Phaze in the original Fire Pro, I've been playing through World Championship mode with both bosses. A feat that I think hasn't been done in 34 years.
Other than a few glitches, the duo are relatively stable characters to play as; understandably, the bosses are also super-strong.
No Wheel Kicks, Flying Clotheslines or Weapon attacks to speak of. Yet, that doesn't mean Phaze and Krauzer are pushovers either. At their disposal: Piledrivers, Backdrops and German Suplexes make up the tail-end of the Legend Heroes' wheelhouse.
After beating World Championship mode once, the players(s) are required to play through the game again via Hard Mode. This is where the CPU begins taking things seriously. Not only has the difficulty been ramped up a notch, the CPU seems more resilient this time around; as they should, since the player(s) start Hard Mode as the World Champion(s).
Originally, Phaze and Krauzer are encountered at the end of Hard Mode as the secret, final opponents. After 34 years, the hidden bosses are finally testing their mettle against the Combination Tag roster; proving a simple reminder of who the real grand champions are.
As you can see, I have quite the vivid imagination...

Geikitou Burning Pro Wrestling. Finally got the controls down so enjoying the heck out of this game on nice bigger difficulty level. Love changing the ring gear for the roster. I've been playing SFPW 1 & 2 and legend bout. Taking a break from that awesome franchise.
This game totally rocks with fast paced matches and new moves.

I've been playing SFPW 1 & 2 and legend bout. Taking a break from that awesome franchise. This game totally rocks with fast paced matches and new moves. I wrote the gameFAQ guide for Gekitou about 7 years ago. Even then, I didn't know it was possible to exit the ring and get a chair from the crowd! To exit the ring: press Y + R + the direction of the rope you are facing (for example, to exit from the left ring ropes: press Left + Y + R) Once outside, walk over to the left or right railing and press Y, B or A to grab a chair. Note: not every character can grab a chair. After beating Combination Tag with the hidden bosses (which was a real chore given their lack of flashy moves), I played through again with my trusted tag team: the Urban Blasters (Road Warriors).
As an Easter Egg, if either character bleeds during the last match, they will remain covered in blood for the game's ending!

Yes indeed so awesome to be able to get out of the ring to brawl and then use a steel chair. Great feature. Plus I know the flying dives outside of the ring.
Yes recognized your name on the FAQ. Thanks bud.

These days, just about everyone knows about the trick in mission 2 where the player can reach full experience by exploiting a glitch involving off-screen enemies. Though, it is possible to level up entirely before finishing mission 1.
During today's playthrough of Double Dragon on the NES, I did just that.
The trick I used was grabbing a whip from the Lindas at the end of Mission 1, then proceeded to scroll back and forth with well-placed kicks until the timer came close to 0. As long as the player is holding the whip, the character won't go for the hair grab.
With enough practice, I was able to get six of the seven hearts before heading to the final area. A few more well-placed punches later, and a boss fight with Abobo and I had all seven hearts before the end of Mission 1.
Ultra-tedious, time consuming and totally not worth it, but man ....do I feel like a Dragon.

Eiyuden Chronicle Rising finally beaten. Game guides said it would take about 20 hours and they were right on the money. Beat it in 20 hours and completed all 160 town quests. A decent enough game for a single playthrough but I doubt I would ever go back to it again. Most of the game is fetch quests with some simplistic combat and platforming. If it wasn't related to Hundred Heroes I probably wouldn't have played it. I actually think I got it for free from being a Kickstarter backer.
Ghost of Tsushima also beaten in about 100 hours of playtime with most of the side objectives done. The only thing I didn't really concentrate on was locating all the Mongol artifacts, but I found all the Fox dens but one, found all the hot springs and completed all the bamboo cutting challenges and as far as I know I unlocked all the armors but haven't got all their color schemes yet. Maybe when I get around to New Game+ someday.
Helldivers 2 of course. Still playing a combination of solo and group with my brothers and some friends. Crossplatform now working perfectly as I'm playing on PS5 and my brothers are playing on PC. Have almost all the default gear unlocked but don't have any of the other war bonds unlocked to get that gear and weaponary. I think the Illuminate are closer to arriving. More and more footage is showing up online of Helldivers encountering mysterious cloaked units that are engaging both Helldivers and enemy factions. We even have footage of a Bile Titan being taken down by an unknown something that was firing the distinctive blue lasers of the Illuminate. Current major order now is to destroy 2 billion Automatons so their scrap can be salvaged and used to replenish the military resources of Super Earth, we my group has left the Terminid sector and we've been knocking out Automaton airbases and factory walkers for the last week.
Also the old classic Marathon was also put up for free on Steam. Back in the early pre-Halo days of Bungie when they made games for the Mac. A definite oldschool classic. I think this was the first FPS game I ever played where dual wielding was a thing.

Well the summer Steam sale got me pretty hard with $200+ spent on the deals. Picked up all the Warhammer Total War III DLC's, double dipped on a couple games I already have on PS but they were marked down to only a few bucks. Sunless Seas, Sunless Skies and Mutant Year Zero. Also picked up a retro 16 bit style Detective RPG called Pixel Noir which looked interesting.
