I'm actually glad New Japan Pro Wrestling is back. I don't have to watch any more American Promotions *cough* AEW *cough* for as long as I'm happy with NJPW.

DDT-Pro and Noah merging into one promotion known as Cyberfight. Somehow both rosters will keep their styles. (DDT being parody goofy and Noah serious pro wrestling)

Personally I think it can work and would totally be interested in watching this. Like, no offense to DDT with this comparison but think about how many times you've seen an American company have midcard comedy matches before a hard-hitting main event. I see no reason why it can't work for them too.

They've "interacted" before on the Peter Pan shows but they are essentially cheap content for a venture capital company.

Saori Anou vs Mayumi Okazi frickin' ruled. Storytelling from bell to bell. I had no idea what the build-up to this was, but I enjoyed the match greatly.
It's got blood, it's got weapons, it's got a whole slew of heel scumbaggery.
This is what I love in wrestling. I don't need multi-match feuds to tell a story. I did have a little bit of context being familiar with Ozaki-gun's antics and Saori Anou played the perfect sympathetic babyface here.

Watched the 10/01/20 ASSEMBLE show tonight and it was awesome.
I went into it with vague knowledge of the individual rosters and came out of it with a greater appreciation than I went in with. If you have any remote interest in joshi puroresu in it's modern form, I strongly recommend it.
The next show is the 26th anniversary of the Big Egg '94 show being held on 11/20/20. This will mark the debut of STARDOM for the partnership. I have incredibly high hopes for this one.
