Yeah, Rick and Morty was great. I don’t know how they keep it up! The intros inclusion of a certain two headed avian fiend is very relevant right now as well! 🙂

They better give us a full episode dedicated to that two-headed Goose! 🦆🦆 I don't want them to bait and switch us with a fake intro clip like Jerry's pregnancy and Cthulhu!! I want a FULL 30 minutes dedicated to that marvelous creature! And wow, I just watched the season premiere tonight and loved it. One of my favorite R&M episodes in a while. It didn't quite have the "Season premiere" feel of seasons 2 and 3 but they both came off cliffhangers in the way this didn't. This was just a great episode with a ton of awesome lines and an excellent morale. It was a frightening look as to what happens when someone gets tunnel vision toward a goal. When Morty could barely speak cause he was scanning every letter for the "right path", it was legitimately uncomfortable and brilliant. And the idea he blew off Jessica to wait for her in his 40's was the exclamation point on it all.
"Akira Morty" was pretty hilarious and so many great lines like "bully bullying is the new bullying!"
Interesting how one dimension had "Hologram Rick" and the other had "Stick to Adventures Morty". The show had a lot to say about its fans in this episode, including the "mission statement" at the end.
It should be an interesting (but short) season!

I checked out the first episode of the Mandalorian today, I’ve been waiting for this to drop since I read about the concept and I am not disappointed. The show looks incredible, there’s humour in the writing, lots of cool nods to the movies, and the whole thing has a real man with no name, Sergio Leone film feel (and later a lone wolf and cub feel...). Even if you’re not a Star Wars fan, there’s something here for you, great action, great writing, great directing/cinematography, and a huge fan service for those interested in the lore of THE ultimate bounty hunter’s people (and without spoilers, the other bounty hunter that showed up for the big contract was hilarious and bad ass at the same time!). Can’t wait to check the rest of this out!

I liked it, even as someone who is pretty much done with Star Wars, and will be completely if the rumors of the latest test screening walkouts turn out to be true. That theme music is like a combination of Ennio Morricone meets John Williams, I already have it on my mp3 player.

Good call on the music, you’re right, and it is amazing.
I’m not a huge fan of the new stuff, I didn’t mind episode 7, but 8 was really tough to like, and I really have no interest in the new one coming up.
I did like Rogue One for some reason, I think it was that stories in the universe that parallel/intersect the main films was interesting to me, and the Mandalorian has that kind of vibe to it. I hope the rest of the season is as good or better than the pilot!

Checked out the first three episodes of Vice’s Dark side of the ring, they’re pretty good. Most of the stories are familiar, and the Bruiser Brody story always guts me. What a waste. It was cool/sad to hear tony Atlas’ take on things, but dayum, what a greasy shit show that whole thing was. Most of the stories in the series will be familiar to people here, but a few views might be new or at least entertaining. Check it out if you have the chance.

Ive been enjoying the series Power, kind of like The Wire light, pretty good stories, lots of really shitty people and nasty characters, pretty solid show all around. Easily my favourite character is Kanan, played by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. He’s a real scumbag in this show, but I love the character, and he’s a straight shooter and a nut , things that are increasingly more valuable attributes in people for me as time goes on. This scene sums up the character quite well (anyone recognize that crackhead?). 🙂

Watched the 1st episode of the Witcher last night, it's pretty good! I didn't play the games but know the story of the first two. The series, as far as I know, takes place before the games...

I binged all of The Witcher yesterday. There's some legit bastshit crazy stuff, but I have a pretty high tolerance for weirdness. I really enjoyed it, even if it's mostly setup for the (already confirmed) season 2.

Just watched the Von Erich episode of dark side of the ring, and my pro wrestling hating better half sat and watched it with me for some reason. She commented about half way through that it sounds like they have a curse or something. That was a sad one, I’ve heard the stories but never in one place. What a shit show, Kevin Von Erich looks shattered, but at least he seems to be in a good place (Hawaii) to keep his mind as peaceful as it can be.
As a bonus, my better half is actually interested in the rest of the episodes! 😁
