I just noticed that we don't have a thread for this in Off Topic. Could be fun:
Right now I'm incredibly addicted to Black Mirror on Netflix. I'm also into an italian organized crime show called Gomorrah, and a gritty / realistic show from Montreal called Fugueuse (which is about a young girl falling for a Pimp and getting trapped in a prostitution ring). < All of these I'd highly recommend.
I'm about to start Cobra Kai.
What series are you guys watching these days?

Black Mirror was awesome. I really liked the episodes Nosedive, Arkangel, Black Museum, and White Bear just off the top of my head. There were many more awesome episodes, but those stand out for me.
It has been done for a while now, but more people need to watch Happy! Christopher Meloni is awesome as Nick Sax, and Patton Oswalt lends his voice to Happy, the floaty chibi style blue imaginary unicorn/pegasus. Awesome stuff, a nice short series based on a graphic novel, some of the most chaotic shit out there in the past couple of years. Kinda like Bad Santa meets John Wick if you need comparisons. Awesome stuff!
Preacher has been fun, the Brit adaptation of the Danish/Swedish series The Bridge titled The Tunnel (French/British version starring Stanus Baratheon) is great stuff (as is the Swedish Danish original The Bridge... :) ), and most recently for me, the History Channel series Vikings has been my obsession.
We are truly spoiled for choice TV wise these days. It's sad when you have to decide not to watch a great series because it won't leave you enough time to watch an EPIC series! First world problems. :)

I'm between TV shows at the moment since all of my usual stuff is down. Kinda looking forward to Netflix's Disenchantment though. It's the new show from the creator of The Simpsons, and Futurama coming in a week or two. I figure Futurama was pretty good, and Simpsons lasted literal decades before the idea well went completely dry - so it has to be at least entertaining, right?

Oh god I watch too much. I could potentially get lost in this thread (not that I need more shit to add to my list).
Just finished season 2 of Marcella on netflix. Impatiently waiting to watch the new season of Wentworth. Wentworth doesn't seem to be terribly well known but holy shit my girl and I love it. It's the darker more fucked up cousin of Orange is the New Black.
Towards the end of season 5 it got to the point where you didn't think the big bad could ever get their due comeuppance and then when the credits rolled on the last episode it was more satisfying than I could have come up with even if you gave me a year to write how it ended.
I bet anyone who liked OITNB will love Wentworth, probably even more.

I’ve been making my way through The X-Files: I’m midway through Season 4. New favourite show - 44 mins per ep can be a bit much sometimes but for those really great eps (there are a fair few), it almost doesn’t seem long enough

Yeah Wentworth is fun, but I stopped watching at the end of season 4 for reasons that I won't get into because I don't quite know how to use spoiler tags lol Check out Unite 9 and Capadocia if you're looking for something similar and if you don't mind subtitles. They're both shows (one French from Quebec, one Latin) that deal with women in prison

I'm about to start Cobra Kai. I'm a big fan of the Karate Kid series but I was not at all prepared for how awesome Cobra Kai was. It was without a doubt the best TV show that I saw all year. I can't wait for Season 2. Fans of the original 3 movies will likely be blown away and I think Cobra Kai also works for people unfamiliar with those movies. That said, no one should have the misfortune of being ignorant of the Quicksilver method.

I'm enjoying Preacher as well; although I am one of those guys who relentlessly has to point out the differences between the comic and show to people, but most especially when the comic did something better than the show did.
I do the same thing with The Walking Dead.

As far as adaptations go, this one is better than most (but yeah I do the same thing and Preacher comics were some of my favorites)

I loved the first season of Preacher and then went on to completely forget about season 2.
I'd like to catch up on that.
I lost the story with Vikings too, I'm probably 2 seasons behind on that.
I'm very excited for the next season of Better Call Saul which starts Monday and for Supernatural in September.
