I'm about to start Cobra Kai. I'm a big fan of the Karate Kid series but I was not at all prepared for how awesome Cobra Kai was. It was without a doubt the best TV show that I saw all year. I can't wait for Season 2. Fans of the original 3 movies will likely be blown away and I think Cobra Kai also works for people unfamiliar with those movies. That said, no one should have the misfortune of being ignorant of the Quicksilver method. I just completed it and you're absolutely right. I love how meta it is, and how willing it is to poke fun at it's own tropes while giving you an entertaining story at the same time. It's silly but it's clever and fun. I'll be honest; I was never a huge Karate Kid fan, but this series had me hooked as if I was. There's something cool about seing traditional "good" vs "bad" characters being presented differently through different context and circumstances. At the end you feeling sympathetic for almost everyone involved. Can't wait for season 2 |

Big Brother has been pretty entertaining this year. Even though I'm the furthest thing from a reality TV watcher, my GF and I got hooked on it last season and loved it. This season seems to be just as good. Some of the people on the show seem to be so easy to hate. I never feel indifferent about anyone.

Can't wait for season 2 Really glad you enjoyed it too! :) Ever since I finished it a few weeks ago, I've been watching the original movies in order. Just finished the third one tonight. It's amazing the subtle things that took place in the movies and how the series respects them without shoving them in your face. I really like the way they balance the history with long time fans without making new fans feel like they are missing something. And I am amazed at how sympathetic they make just about all of the main characters as well as the character growth with the younger generation. F'n Hawk - that Superman punch at All Valley got a "holy shit" out of me given how he started! |

Lately I've been watching that new Stephen King inspired show called: show Castle Rock. Only a few episodes out so far here in Sweden, but I think the show has been pretty good so far. I'm also a big fan of the Black Mirror series, so many great episodes. I really enjoyed the first season of Mindhunter, anyone else seen that show?

Mayans MC is a pretty bad ass offshoot of Sons of Anarchy, and definitely worth checking out! Only two episodes so far, but it has been really good!

Just finished season 2 of Castlevania. Loved it. Amazon already is taking pre-orders for the season 1 blu ray so I immediately ordered.
Also Netflix just announced the show has been renewed for a season 3.

Big Mouth season 2 was great. I really need to start watching this. I loved Season 1. Laughed my ass off the entire time. I need to try out Castlevania as well. The new season of Supernatural has been really interesting so far. I prefer the overarching narrative at this point (especially since it's been pretty unpredictable) to the more stand-alone episodes but this week was an exception. They went back to "monster of the week" format for Halloween and it was a really good episode. And anyone who is a fan of the Thundercats will probably really like the first five minutes. South Park had one of their best Halloween episodes in years this week too. |

Black Mirror was awesome. I really liked the episodes Nosedive, Arkangel, Black Museum, and White Bear just off the top of my head. There were many more awesome episodes, but those stand out for me.
Black Mirror was amazing! Can't wait for a new season to arrive. :)
Maniac on Netflix was also great imo. I've been trying to get into Haunting of Hill House on Netflix, but so far... meh. Bad acting, too many jump scares and overall bad production. So I started rewatching The Wire, which I haven't seen in years, and it still holds up. :)

Caught up on the first 9 episodes of this season of Always Sunny. Still the only show currently on TV that just makes me gut laugh. The episode where Mac and Charlie get their bikes stolen and they beat up the kids who did it; I had to go back and watch that scene at least three times because it was one of the most satisfying things I have ever seen on TV. I hate kids.

Just noticed that the tv adaptation of the graphic novel Happy! is on Netflix. Great but strange shit not to be missed, and just in time for the Christmas tv special season!
