VERY late to the game, but man, I’m really loving Top Gear! I enjoyed the Top Gear missions in Forza Horizon 4, they were crazy and the commentary was amazing, so I started looking into the show (that, and a coworker was talking about the Toyota Hilux episode like it was common knowledge). You don’t even need to be a “car person” to like the show, these guys are great personalities, very funny and quick witted, you’ll end up learning a lot even if you don’t want to, and where else do you get to see old farts trash classic and new super cars in irresponsibly dangerous race conditions? Great show, give it a shot, I’m seeing it on Amazon. 🙂

Anyone else digging Moon Knight? I really want to check it out, you’d recommend? I have a no spoiler policy when it comes to games or tv shows/films I’m interested in, so I haven’t even read any reviews or impressions yet.

The first season appears to be done, so you could check out as much out as little in one sitting as you want.
I honestly thought Moon Knight was the best live-action Marvel series on Disney+.

I honestly thought Moon Knight was the best live-action Marvel series on Disney+. I keep hearing that too but haven't seen it yet. Interested to see how it stacks up against Mandalorian and Wandavision. I guess the thing for me though is that I already knew a lot about the characters in the above series. I don't think I've even heard of Moon Knight before so I may be going in at a disadvantage. Anyone else watching the final season of Better Call Saul? First few episodes were super hot then it cooled down a little. I figure it will heat up again for the mid season finale in a week or two.

Good to hear season six is good, I’ve just started season five (three episodes in) and it’s great! I love Lalo Salamanca, so charming, plodding and creepy, that actor is great, I need to see him in more stuff! This has been my favourite season so far, I’m not excited for it to end, but it will be cool to see what becomes of our beloved Cinnabon manager Gene Takavic!
If you need to scratch the breaking bad/better call Saul itch when the series ends, Queen of the South is worth a watch!

This has been my favourite season so far, I’m not excited for it to end, but it will be cool to see what becomes of our beloved Cinnabon manager Gene Takavic! Lalo is easily one of the best characters in the show. And that's incredible given the fact he joined later and is competing with some of the heavy hitters from the entire franchise like Mike and Gus. Lalo became my favorite Salamanca because he so perfectly combines the best qualities of all of them. Season 5 is excellent and I think you are really going to enjoy it!! I'm also pretty bummed out that the series will end. I still have that Jesse Pinkman movie to watch though. I heard it wasn't the best but I'll probably be ready to watch it after BCS is done. I really hope we get a strong resolution for Gene at the end of the show. If you need to scratch the breaking bad/better call Saul itch when the series ends, Queen of the South is worth a watch! Thanks! Very good to know! 😄

I've caught up on Better Call Saul and it still remains one of my favorite shows. I think as it comes to a close and things set up to pick up on the Breaking Bad timeline we're gonna see a lot of the roster cleared out by the end though. I am hoping it doesn't end with Jimmy getting caught though. I do hope he makes it.

I also hope they give us one entire episode at the very end devoted to Jimmy/Gene and his future.

So yeah, holy shit, I really enjoyed the first season of Moon Knight! There’s so much to say, but it’s hard to say it without spoiling stuff for those who might be interested in checking it out. The whole thing drips with style, from the intro/exit credits, to the amazing music, the story, and it’s mesmerizing centrepiece, Oscar Isaac’s amazing performance (performances?!). This short series (six episodes) reminded me of the film Joker, even without the comic book character licence, this show tells an amazing story about psychological issues and and their eventual acceptance, Moon Knight isn’t disturbing or as starkly violent as Joker was, but either of those projects could easily have stood alone and told meaningful and engaging stories without their immediately recognizable comic book licences. Easily my favourite MCU Disney episodic project yet, and well worth a look. I hope they have more of this in mind!

Just got off my three day shift completely exhausted. Especially now that the heat has arrived, inside the plant is getting pretty brutal. Would have been on call tomorrow but paid out $50 for someone to take it. They were glad as well as they had already missed a week of work due to covid. So I just binged the first four episodes of season 3 of Barry. Henry Winkler absolutely killing it this season. A lot of the characters have shifted with Winkler becoming more dark and serious instead of buffoonish and Barry himself definitely becoming more of a villain, reminding me a lot of Dexter in the final season. I'm thinking a similar ending for the character as well. Such a great show I already want to go back and binge season 1 and 2 again.
Also getting ready to start the new season of Kids in the Hall. I've been hearing nothing but good things and already rumors abound from 'the kids' themselves that this one-off new season may end up getting renewed for yet another season from Amazon.

Really excited about the new Kids in the Hall series reboot! 🤞
(We need a "crushing your head" emoji 😄)
I still need to see Moon Night and Obi Won.
I went for the first half of Season 4 of Stranger Things first. It started off slower than I wanted but ended awesome. I can't wait for the second part of the season. I already like it better than Season 2 and 3.
July is going to be crazy with the second half of that season and the end of Better Call Saul.

I just finished part one of season six, better call Saul. I can safely say at this point, I like the spin off more than the original (breaking bad), which says a lot for me as I hold that series in high regard. The odd thing is BCS wouldn’t exist without breaking bad, it makes me wonder if the creator had at least some rudimentary idea of all of these characters stories the entire time he put together the breaking bad story.
This is some of my favourite fiction, period. They’re all so smart in their own ways, and somehow it feels like some of the usual stereotypes have been avoided. These people need a collective kick in the nads for making us wait until mid July for part two, but wow, this has been an amazing ride! 😁
I’ve been enjoying Obi Wan as well, pretty cool stuff. I was a little annoyed that the lucasfilm tradition of messing with super bad ass, cool looking bad guys has continued with Disney, but other than that, it’s been a nice surprise (expectations were low for me).

Just about finished my rewatch of the entire series House. I bought the DVD's shortly after the show ended but decided to wait a few years before I went through it again. Now I'm just about through the last season and it still holds up really well.
Think I'm going to give The Orville a try. People tell me it's very good and I never paid much attention to it before, but I was wrong when I ignored Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica, so as soon as I finish House I am going to start it.

The Orville is pretty funny from what I’ve seen. Lots of recommendations for the show from friends, and the few I caught didn’t disappoint.

A bit OT, but after all of this Better Call Saul I’ve watched over the last little bit, I can’t help but think if there’s ever a Mid South Wrestling or a Jim Crockett Promotions movie, or even a bio pic of the man himself, That Bob Odenkirk would be the perfect person to play Jim Cornette. 😁
None of this would ever happen, but I think Odenkirk would be perfect to play the mouthpiece!
