I feel you on most of your points about the Book, it’s a slow burn, the modded gang members seem really out of place, but, in the defence of this show, and hopefully it picks up in all of the right ways and helps me justify my happiness about its existence, George Lucas left the series creators a huge, steaming pile of shit to try to crawl out of after the cinematic emasculation of one of the most bad ass, mysterious, cult favourite characters of all time for a cheap laugh. The only way this could have been worse for my beloved Fett is if jar jar binks pulled down the pants the universally feared bounty hunter to reveal Yoda face covered boxer shorts first…
as a young, impressionable BakFu, I was FURIOUS after seeing this scene, I was done with Star Wars, and was only more pissed after having to sit through a bunch of teddy bears with rocks and sticks crush the empires occupation of Endor. 🤣
Episode 4 was fun, reuniting with the Firespray, and episode five was a bonus episode of the Mandalorian, so you can’t hate that!
I still have hope for the series 😬

3 episodes into All Of Us Are Dead. So far pretty good. Seems like the anime High School of the Undead may have helped inspire this.

Well it looks like the upcoming HALO tv series is getting Rey Skywalker’d and the two show runners have jumped ship before the first episode has even aired. Creative differences of course. Looks like 16 year old girl is set to become protagonist of the series with Master Chief being relegated to side character. Promotional material for the show already emphasizing this is an alternative Halo universe and not the one from the game series. I’m not interested in watching it, but am looking forward to the YouTuber reviews.

Finished up the two seasons of Barry that are out. I guess due to covid, season 3 has been on hold for a long time although HBO confirms season 3 will come in 2022 at some point. Love the show. It's kind of like if a Grand Theft Auto game had been made into a series. It's got both the dark hyper-violent aspect, but also a roster of eccentric and enjoyable characters. Even the bad guys are extremely likable.
Now to start Mr. Inbetween

Well, overall I was disappointed with Book of Boba. The Mods were out of place and they didn't act enhanced. Pacing was off, things that should have been hyped were meh. It fell short, but wasn't completely horrible. I just remmeber with Mando Season 2 finale I got actual goosebumps. With Boba it was ...meh.
My wife and I found out we have HBO Max. While people have knocked the DC movies (I find enjoyment in them), I find their animated movies over the years have rocked. It's been nice watching some titles I haven't seen.
What surprised me was that HBO Max has Impractical Jokers and the Whose Line with Drew. While I prefer Whose Line with names like Tony Slattery, Paul Merton, Mike McShane and Josie Lawrence; the shows with Drew were fun because half the time they were roasting Drew.

I used to watch the British Whose Line all the time. The Drew Carey ones are all right but they didn't have enough variety of improvisors. It was always Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie and usually Wayne Brady and then one rotating position. They also were more censored than the British version. I've seen outtakes where they had to start over because someone said something deemed too offensive.

Just started watching The Deuce on HBO. Just gotten two episodes in, but so far it's alright. :) Really digging the whole NYC in the early seventies kind of vibe.

I've caught the first 9 episodes of the Warhammer+ animated TV series Hammer and Bolter. I actually am liking most of them, although you can tell they are using a budget animation studio. Each episode is a twenty minute anthology of short stories set within the 40k universe, dealing with different factions and aspects of the lore.
EP1: An overzealous Imperial Inquisitor discovers he is the target of an Imperial assassin, but doesn't know why. Great episode on Inquisitor's and truly what bastards they are and what terrifying autonomous power within the Imperium they wield; able to decide who lives and who dies on a whim.
EP2: This one was more slow paced and very light on the action. More about the subtle way in which Chaos taint weeds its way into even the most protected of institutions.
EP3: A great episode where we see the Eldar and Ultramarines go at it in bloody detail. Learn a little about the Eldar trying to reclaim lost soul stones so dead Eldar don't get their souls eaten by Slaanesh.
EP4: Another great action packed episode. Two sisters of the Adeptus Sororitas make a last stand against a rampaging Cult of Khorne. Lots of bolter and chainsword action. Interesting we also get a glimpse of the inner workings of a Chaos cult. Nice little nod thrown in to Khorne's preference of martial prowess in battle over standing back and shooting at an opponent from safety which earns one cult member a bloody death from his leader for dishonoring Khorne with cowardly behavior.
EP5: Didn't get much out of this one, but interesting lore building for people unfamiliar. Three aspirants on the planet Fenris undergo their trials with the hopes of being seen fit to be recruited into the Space Wolves Astartes.
EP6: Great Ork episode. An older Ork recounts the story of Old Bale Eye to two younger Orks. Old Bale Eye being Commissar Yarrick most famed for repulsing two Ork Waaaghs at the planet Armageddon, winning a duel with an Ork Warboss even after having an arm amputated, inciting a rebellion against his Ork captors when he was taken prisoner and becoming one of the only humans Orks respect and fear so much so that he was actually freed by the Orks so that they would have the opportunity to fight him again. Orks don't really care if they win or lose, they just want to fight someone who will put up a good challenge.
EP7: A Tech Priest of the Order Cybernetica and its Castellan combat android scavenge a war torn planet for lost technology. Pretty good episode focusing on Tech Priests giving up their humanity to become closer to the Omnissiah but still finding a very human like affection for its machine protector, even moreso than other actual humans.
EP8: I loved this episode. Chaos vs Necrons with a cameo appearance from Abbadon himself. Abbadon sends a contingent of his Chaos Terminators to claim a powerful piece of Necron technology. The Terminator's are able to power through the Necron's fairly easily, only to discover they've been lured into a trap, as Necron's have some rudimentary control over time travel. I love any episode dealing with Chaos Astartes and Abbadon's Black Legion in particular. I always played Black Legion in Dawn of War.
EP9: Cadia vs Tyranids. Also really liked this episode. Some nameless Cadian contingent holding off a Tyranid invasion on some nameless planet. Focusing on Cadia's insane suicidal tendencies to put themselves in front of the most horrible things that come spilling out of the galaxy even when it means certain death.
Still an EP10, but I haven't seen it yet but it looks like it deals with Nurgle and Plague marines.

The first two episodes of the new Better Call Saul season were great! I can't believe this is the last season (likely of the entire canonical world and not just BCS) but I can already feel the tension getting to higher levels than previous seasons were at this early point.
The last season of Breaking Bad was awesome and I think this could rival that.
