This series…
Does any other game / movie / book / form of entertainment have a more odd cast of bizarre characters than this?!
The art style is as gorgeous as the characters are unique and odd. It’s cool something as strange and gorgeous as this exists in our otherwise sterilized, safe for all to consume world. This series would have been a perfect fit for the Dreamcast! 😁

The series actually did have a release on the Dreamcast, albeit exclusively in Japan: Guilty Gear X

The series actually did have a release on the Dreamcast, albeit exclusively in Japan: Guilty Gear X I thought of this about a half an hour after I posted. I guess the developers thought it should be on the Dreamcast, too! 😁

My god, tekken 8 looks ridiculous. When you think the series can’t look any better, they like to prove you wrong!
Kushnood Butt (Rodriguez) is my favourite FF character, he looks great here! I love the stage, too, looks like a big box gym, but everyone is in Gi’s, even the dude on the climbing wall! It’s cool to see SNK can still hang, and it doing a really good job of sticking to its roots!
Thanks for posting!

The story blurb is that a thief stole Marco's dojo sign so they've relocated to Yuri Sakazaki's fitness club. What kind of class A moron steals from Marco?! Just when you think there’s no possible way you could get another drop of bad ass into the overflowing tank of awesomeness that is Akuma, they somehow pull it off. The combos look incredible (the GAME looks incredible), and there’s so much power in those specials, I wish wrestling games could capture some of that feel of impact and strength. They missed an opportunity in that intro, the blue track jacket guy should have pissed himself when akuma appeared, just like 99% of the actual population would have having seen that monster.

Marco: Put a little "Butt" on it 🍑
He looks awesome!! The game itself has incredible animation, which is to be expected as the sequel to MoTW. But wow, you can really see the Kyokugen style deep in all of his moves. The integrity of his forms, the impact and momentum of his strikes, it all comes together so well. I love Yuri's gym too!
Akuma: Capcom has been phenomenal in how they have evolved all of the SF characters throughout the years, especially for SF6. Akuma has long been one of my top favorites (and my main in many of the games: especially Alpha 3). I just never imagined he'd get even more ferocious with age. He truly comes across as a demon in this! The Raging Demon itself looks like the best version of it ever. The stage looks amazing too.
I assume he'll be in World Tour mode as a sensei but that is going to be one intimidating approach!! I'll have my character wear a thicker gi that day in case of leakage 😁 I haven't played SF6 since last summer. But I'll pick it up again after Akuma is released. I want to try Ed too.
It makes me happy to see both Capcom and SNK evolving in the way they have recently. SF 6, KOF 15, and MotW 2 were never guaranteed to happen and were pipe dreams 20 years ago. I appreciate what we've been given.

Remember seeing the first trailer for this a year ago. It finally released yesterday and is only a $12 game with 5 characters, but tons of customization options. Also very intense with a one hit kill gameplay mechanic.

Wow, that looks really great! Major Bushido Blade vibes with a cool aesthetic and story mode too. Shocking low price for it too! Definitely getting on this one ⚔️ Edit: Looks like it's just $9 on Steam too with special DLC released today.

Akuma was released this week as DLC for SF 6.
As a result, I picked up the game for the first time since last summer and bought him.
He is every bit the beast that the hype trailers showed 😲
And because he's an OG, he has a secret taunt where he sits down and eats a rice ball for 30 seconds.
(That lets you do two secret supers too)
He's so fun to play and so combo-able. I don't play fighting games as much anymore but I get a fun sense of nostalgia when I get to use the muscle memory from the 90's that is always itching to come out.
His 1P Arcade mode story was a little underwhelming (aside from a rather unintentionally hilarious awkward encounter with Ryu) but I'm looking forward to finding him in World Tour mode.
As an aside, I don't have the Year 1 DLC plan. So it was annoying having to buy separate fighter points on the PSN Store then spend them in SF6 just to get him, rather than being able to purchase him directly on the store. For KOF I was able to directly buy individual characters as DLC through the store without any inefficiency in time or money. When I say money, I mean that Capcom only sells the Fighter Coins in pre-set amounts that are not equivalent to the in game cost of the individual characters (350 coins). I had to buy the "610 fighter coin option" on the Store to spend in the game which guarantees that I won't have enough to buy another fighter but also is more than I needed to spend for Akuma. So I'll have to buy a smaller amount if I also want to get Ed. Capcom has always been weird with numbers and the Street Fighter series though 😁
