An excellent overview of For Honor from it's launch to it's current upcoming faction update and additional game modes.

So there was a leaked Soul Calibur list that appeared mid-June and had all of the now-shown names to be correct, INCLUDING Azwel, by name...
If the list is true, then the missing names are Raphael, Cervantes, Lizardman (who could just be a Create a Soul in someones story), and potentially Hwang (he noted files were absent but his name was present).
Another list (who also had named Azwel long before he appeared) suggested the first 3, but not Hwang, then noted that Cassandra appears in Sophitia's storyline but is not playable... (sorry, Dawn).
We'll still see, obviously, but it's being thrown around due to them naming a new character two months before his announcement and batting 100% otherwise.

Was really hoping Cassandra would make it as playable. She has a decent shot at dlc though.

Yeah, if they don't at least make Cassandra playable as DLC then they're basically giving away money, as she has a very vocal (if not sizable) following.
I personally put no faith in "leaks" and take the roster as it comes. Nothing wrong with speculation (pretty natural imo) but I'm only interested in roster info that comes directly from the developer. I mean, I hope that Setsuka and Raphael join my other favorites on the roster but I'm not really keen to respond further about it until I know their status for certain.

As for beat em ups, I started playing Yakuza 0 again after 13 months away from it. I bought it launch and enjoyed the little of it that I played but I was playing 3-4 other games at the time and just dropped it after burning out on games in general for a month.
Anyhow, I had apparently stopped playing JUST before the intro chapter of the secondary lead, Goro Majima. I've breezed through (for me, which is about 1/3 as fast as it is for most people lol) that chapter and the following two. I'm having a lot of fun with it, certainly more than I was having when I was trying to play 5 games at a time.

The director for the game said the DLC pack is going to be Tira, 3 others (and heavily suggested one was a Guest), and two packs for Create a Soul. Cassandra could be one. He kinda heavily shrugged off questions of 'more female characters' for the final roster, which the two leaked lists support. Im usually not on-board with leak lists, either, but it was worth pointing out that these had the newest guy listed by name despite being a brand new character. Ups the merit a bit, if you will.

It's cool that someone probably leaked an accurate final character roster before all of the characters are officially revealed but I'm just more into the actual reveals. Even if it's 100%accurate all of the way through, I just want the real deal (which we won't know anyway until the devs are done). Believe me, I wasn't trying to throw shade at anybody who is interested in that. It IS exciting in a way. It's just not "me."

Ah, sorry for it, then. Guess I should've spoiler-tagged it for that type of situation. Sorry! D:

Oh no lol,I don't think you spoiled anything. Between 8WayRun and [Hell], I've been aware of the list for some time. I think I just came off wrong in how I said something and wanted to clarify. No harm mate. :D

I've been unaware of any leaks but no matter what happens, SCVI looks like it's gonna be *amazing*. Like even based on the gameplay from EVO it looks as solid as ever.
And the huge glut of singleplayer stuff in it is good, considering SCV's *depressingly severe* lack of it.

So something that I'm curious about is how many characters people use consistently when they play a fighting game regularly.
Like, when you play a fighter do you typically try to stick to one specific character that you play almost exclusively or do you try to learn multiple characters to use regularly? Do you try to use every character?
For me, it's definitely more of option 2. While I almost always have a "main," I tend to try out a variety of characters and play them regularly. For example, while I "main" Xiaoyu in Tekken, I also play regularly play Paul, CrEddy (not mash, thank you), Marduk, and Asuka. I do this with virtually every fighter.
How about you all?

I always try and find new people, but I have to be good with then as well. Li Me in MK Deception comes to mind as someone who I wouldn't have expected to play as but I could slaughter people with her.

I used to try to get at least proficient with most if not all the rosters of fighting games. Tekken and Street Fighter (whichever number and the alphas) were the main ones for this practice, KoF to a lesser extent, it was fun to git gud with as many fighters as I could, so when my friends and I would get together and they'd start whining about me kicking their asses, I'd let them pick any other fighter with which to continue the beating. It was great back when I had the time, and there was no such thing as a backlog. Just getting back into Tekken again, I'll have to re-learn my old standbys to give the old boy and main eventer Heihachi a break. So I'll have to head back to work on Paul, Xiaoyu, Hwaroang, Jack, Steve Fox, Bryan, and King (Eddy was always fun, too!). I really want to pick up Feng and Sergei, maybe a few of the other T7 noobs, as well. But yeah, I traditionally tried to keep a diverse portfolio in fighters and not just be another fireball/dragon punch spamming Ryu/Ken/Akuma player! :)

The proper phrase is "Do do Daigo it?"
Even he started practicing non-Ryu for that while because Ryu was so damn bad.
As for me, it's a mixed bag. Namco fighter? Multiple people. KoF? Well minimum 3, but pays to have options.
Mortal Kom--It's Ermac. I will play nothing but fucking Ermac.
