Lot of fighting game news! Female Terry - Wow, LOL. I wonder if Terry is the only male character who gets gender-bendered for this game. I've been thinking about it and I don't know how I'd feel (down below) about female Geese LOL. Holly: "Flesh is flesh. Bon appetit Geesa " Negan - I haven't watched the Walking Dead that much or seen recent episodes but the actor who plays Negan also played John Winchester in Supernatural. So as far as I'm concerned, John f'n Winchester is now in Tekken with a barbed wire bat and that's pretty awesome. I hope he mauls the shit out of Devil Jin. Sagat - YES! He was one of the biggest omissions to me and I really wish he was in the game from the start (and not paid DLC) but overall I'm just happy cause I love Sagat. He was actually the first character I used in SF4 and that experience sold the entire game to me as a result of that. I bet he'll control really well. G looks very interesting as well. Glad to see a new original character that looks so interesting.

^funny that you mention G
I kind of lost sight of him in all of the Sagat hype as well as my greater interest in Soul Calibur and (to a much lesser extent) Tekken but since I bought the pass already, I went ahead and did some cursory training with G.
Holy crap I like this guy! Dude has tons of personality, a VERY cool moveset, and has pretty good reach on his special moves because of his height. His great drawback on first glance his his relative lack of speed, both in movement and attacking while his normals have surprisingly limited range. Still, he can chain the mess out of some stuff and his little power up deal combined with his V1 mechanic makes him really formidable and should torment players for a couple of days until he's "figured out."
Mind you I'm no expert but my first impression of him is thoroughly positive.

I haven't bought either one yet but the video made it seem that G has a special counter. That could definitely help compensate for a lack of speed (similar to how it helped Gouken in SF4). He has a cool backbreaker too! G looks really interesting and I'm looking forward to learning his backstory.
Sagat looked incredible in the video. They combined his leaner, bonier Muay Thai body type from SF2 with the bulkier muscular body from Alpha/SF4 and the result seems perfect. It looks like he moves quicker and combos more naturally (in terms of fluidity but also Muay Thai influence0 than he did in SF4 but has far more impact (the 3D helps that) than he did in SF2. Love the combos and the new music too!

I played one match with each this morning before setting off for work. Sagat should be able to TIGER TIGER TIGER his way to some victories, the Tiger Shot does not seem nerfed too badly. I'll take my best shot(pun intended) to make him work, though, always try to have Sagat in my character list.
G is awesome. Don't yet have a grasp on his potential, but I love the character. Seems like he could really work people over with some combos, and while I'm not a huge combo hound, his look like fun to learn. Besides, he's President of the World. Gotta give that a run.
The new Cross Tag Battle characters have some promise. The big metal robot monster thing from Under Night is probably going to have the best chance at making it on my team at this point, his reach and speed of attack is ridiculous.

I've been playing a shit ton of Yakuza Kiwami lately, loving the BRUTAL moves you can pull off in melee with just your hands and weapons alike. I've also been enjoying the various characters, especially the interplay between Kazama Kiryu and Majima Goro and cannot help but think they would be WAAAAAAAAY better choices as cross promotional characters for Tekken than the walking dead guy. Kiryu could totally pull the "Hey! Kazuya is totally stealing my deep voiced, fancy hair brooding martial arts prodigy tough guy schtick!" thing off, and Majima could just be Majima and be awesome! He looks WAY better with a bat than that neckerchief wearing goofball from TWD anyway! :D

youtu.be/pKEWwtDsm_U?t=1m54s soul calibur character creator stuff looks pretty nifty. Still has stuff it could improve on, but having races really adds a whole lot and the models look great in the photos. (looks like preset faces still, etc.)

Yeah, not only has that been revealed but they also revealed the "Libra of Soul" story campaign which is based around created characters. I saw an interview between Soul Calibur pro player Kayane and the game's director that heavily suggested that the wizard looking guy who throws swords like he's f'n Gilgamesh from FATE will be a playable character (probably when you defeat him in the mode, as was the case for such characters in SCIII's similar mode).
They also revealed that Tira will be returning in SCVI but as a DLC character that's tied to the season pass. According to the aforementioned interview, the season pass will contain 4 characters (including Tira) and two "costume packs" for use in CAS mode.
I personally don't mind her being Day 1 DLC but that sort of thing still rankles a lot of nerves (it's so common now that I pretty much expect it, so I don't really fuss about it). The only news so far that's been any semblance of a downer is that the default roster will only have one official costume each (i.e. no alternates). We will invariably be able to customize those default characters to our heart's content in creation mode but it's still a letdown that there won't be official alternate costumes, particularly given how in past games the official costumes just looked so much better than the created ones. Ultimately, it's a mere annoyance but it's nevertheless unfortunate.
Still my most anticipated game of 2018, by far.

Oh yeah, Namco also released a trailer for Anna Williams and Lei Wulong in Tekken 7
Both characters are part of DLC Season Pass 2 (or can be purchased individually for $4.99 each) and will be available on September 6th.
Still think that "other" announced character is ridiculous for the wrong reasons but these two look as awesome as ever, especially my dude Super Cop Lei. :D

I'm still waiting for a new Mortal Kombat announcement. Who knows when the announcement will come but I'd be pretty shocked if they don't have a new MK game out by next summer.

And I loved 9's story much better. 9 was a bit of magic for me. What a triumphant return, and in a lot of ways a huge improvement, for such a storied franchise. 10 was a bit of a pain in the ass, it didn't feel the same, it was good, but just felt forced and a bit slapped together. Jason Vorhees was a treat for me, a long time fan of the cheesy ass Friday the Thirteenth movies, but even that character get out of place and a bit lame. But yeah, MK9 was amazing.

Cool! Dr Strange in Soulcalibur! That's a pretty slick design, I like it! I need to get into this game, I used to like it, I had a friend that hated Tekken but loved Soulcalibur and we played it all the time. I haven't tried it since the Pokemon Green/Pokemon Red (Read Yoda / Darth Vader) editions, so maybe it's time to check it out again. Seems like Namco might be getting away from the gimmicky stuff (except for the DLC fighter/mode trend...) and heading back to what got them to the game in the first place.
