Amazon-1 Grand Prix 8 Round of 32 Night TwoAfter a pre-show bout where Big Jen Stone let out some agression at the expense of Melly Sanders, we began with Spaghetti Starchild outwrestling the mat technician Marie St. Dumas and planting her with Psychedelic Driver II. Annie Bell-Lee submitted Sharon Medina with a Dragon Sleeper, and while Gutter rallied strong against Alexandra Stava the powerhouse caught her in the Bicep Suplex, Gutter being dumped directly on her head for the fall and Gutter needing to be stretchered out afterward. Bonnie Blair (no longer wearing a wig showing her hair fully regrown since having her head shaved bald by Kathy Queen last year) started strong against her former subordinate Elizabeth Tower but the Giantess had a score to settle and got some payback with a Knee Trembler. Death Machine II showed the dominance that made her A1GP winner four years ago with a punishing Mafia Kick to Honey Badger, while her fellow A1GP4 finalist Camarilla would overcome a game Andi Harmy thanks to the Sunnydale Splash. Kelly Condor was determined to finally make it to the upper echelons of the Amazon-1 rankings but Alena Sturmbjorn was determined to become a back to back GP winner. Despite surviving two Warhammer knees Condor would intercept Sturmbjorn's Berserkr Charge with a well-timed chop to set up Condor Arrow only getting a two count; a third Warhammer by Sturmbjorn would secure the Warrior Queen a ticket to the Round of 16. Meanwhile "One Punch Girl" Gina Teller was looking to rewrite her destiny and accomplish what she fell so short last year but she was in the ring with the pride of Osaka Japan, Sakura Megohime. Gina took the best Sakura had to offer and nearly made her tap with the Cattle Mutilation but in the end she experienced the beauty of Osaka In Bloom leading to Megohime getting the win. Both women got a standing ovation from the crowd. 0. Non-Tournament Match: Big Jen Stone d. Melly Sanders 4:42 via "Stone Crusher" (Pancake Piledriver) 1. Spaghetti Starchild d. Amazon-1 Grand Prix Round of 16
After Jessika Strauss warmed up the crowd with her Bolt Thrower, we had a small upset as Mortebella managed to heft the larger Mary MacGregor up for SUNDS to eliminate the WMD Champion from the tournament. Houghton and Cheyenne Martin had a back and forth battle and The Hooligan resorted to the Luis Suarez Special en reoute to Straight Red for the three count. In a protracted technical duel TEK*GIRL Saiba caught Ruth Sampson with a comination of the Black IC Knee and the VR Clutch.
Two former A1GP winners clashed as Kathy Queen and Hija Del Santa Muerte had a thrilling match ending with Queen delivering a picture perfect Queen's Landing for the pin. Annie Bell-Lee faced a very game Spaghetti Starchild and took her out with a running boot to continue the steak of former tournament winners advancing. In the battle of the two biggest women left in the tournament, Alexandra Stava and Elizabeth Tower clashed for nearly twenty minutes until Stava used a reverse powerbomb into the Deadlift German for the three count.
Camarilla and Death Machine II faced off in a repeat of the 4th Grand Prix and history would not repeat as the vampiress fell DMII with the Thrall Maker. Lastly Alena Sturmbjorn stood across the ring from Sakura Megohime in a thriller of a bout; Alena hit the Warhammer but Megohime kicked out, answering with her Dotonbori Plunge (Cross-Legged Michinoku) for a nearfall. Megohime missed a REIKA DiveBomb (450) but when Alena looked to capitalize Megohime caught her with a backdrop and got on the apron to deliver the Elbow From Osaka for the three count!

Amazon-1 Grand Prix 8 Finals
After a warm-up match where Maxine Warner dismantled Melly Sanders, we had our first quarterfinal match where Holly Houghton was upset by the dark horse Mortebella; Houghton used the Luis Suarez Special but when she tried to use a DDT to follow up Mortebella countered into the Wake Up Call for the three count. TEK*GIRL Saiba continued her climb knocking out Kathy Queen with the VR Drill; Queen was slow to get up when the trainers and her boyfriend William King arrived but she was able to leave the ring under her own power.
Annie Bell-Lee looked to get ahead against Alexandra Stava but the Russian juggernaught just would not be stopped planting Bell-Lee with a Deadlift German. Camarilla got one step closer to rewriting her history in the Grand Prix by besting favorite Sakura Megohima with a Diablerie in the center of the ring. In a showcase match featuring Chiyoko Akanomu and DELINQUENT going up against Ai Kaimono and JKL Alum/Akanomu's former tag parter KANABO, the action was fast and furious ending with Akanomu using her Kitsune Splash on Kaimono, pinning her while grinning wickedly at KANABO.
In the semifinals TEK*GIRL Saiba ended the phenomenal run of Mortebella with a Shadowrun, Mortebella getting the respect of the A-1 fans even in her defeat. Meanwhile Alexandra Stava demolished the vampiress Camarilla with ease, dumping her on her head with a Deadlift German. Kasumi Kazami teamed with Kellie Shark to go after the Reinas de la Calles to avenge her broken ribs last month in a thrilling duel that ended with Kazamiya using the Dojin Style attack known as Earthquake Throw on Ximena Valentina to get a measure of revenge.
And finally it was down to two. TEK*GIRL Saiba was dropped early on with a press slam into the Deadlift German but she managed to grab the ropes to force a break. She answered with explosive force, nearly getting the win with a Tiger Driver and the Black IC Bomb but in the end a second press slam and Deadlift German got the three count for Alexandra Stava! What a whirlwind of a month for Amazon-1's newest signee! After the cameras stopped rolling, her trainer Corey O'Brian as well as other DRAGONSUPLEX Dojo graduates came out to congratulate her to close out one hell of a year for Amazon-1.

TEK*GIRL Saiba: "I have had many great memories in my time in Amazon-1. And while I am proud of how I made it to the finals of the Amazon-1 Grand Prix, I think the result of the final has shown that I have done as much as I can here in America. So I am not renewing my contract with A-1 and will be looking to new horizons in Joshi Kansai League.
Everyone in Amazon-1, and all my fans in America, thank you for everything, and I look forward to seeing you all again. ORA ORA CHUMMER!" -------------- Kathy Queen: "My bell was rung from that VR Drill. And at first I was worried I was seriously hurt, but thankfully I've passed all the protocols. Amazon-1 wants to give me a rest but I am the hardest working woman in professional wrestling and I have appointments to keep. More importantly, I have titles to collect... and people to have on their knees... screaming my name... as I make them my bitches. So get ready, Cheyenne. You may be big in Japan, but I'm going to give you a stretching you'll never forget." -------------- Holly Houghton: "Alexandra Stava. Congratulations on winning the A1GP. Now, I'm not going to say you haven't paid your dues. You were trained by Corey O'Brian, and you cut your teeth in his promotion. But back there you were among peers, among friends. I'm not your friend. And you're trying to take money out of my paycheck. When we go face to face Stava I'm going to teach you some lessons you need to learn. The Hooligan Firm, my ultras, they're gonna be chantin 'Who Are Ya' all night long. Not because you're an unknown, after all you're hardly an unknown. They'll chant that because of who you're not: Someone who is ready to hold the Grand Championship."

Amazon-1 61: Stava vs Houghton
The night started with Ellen Farrant showing her skills against Kelly C, then The Guild would get a big win beating the Santa Monica Wrecking Crew thanks to a "FATALITY!" to Rebecca Requiem. Bonnie Blair and Death Machine II battled for over 20 minutes with the action slowing down due to what seemed to be a broken nose from DMII but in the end Blair submitted her with the Blair Trap.
TEK*GIRL Saiba sided with The Submissionaries in her last match contracted with Amazon-1 as they best Annie Bell-Lee and The Unbreakables. Meanwhile former tag team partners Chiyoko Akanomu and KANABO went to war ending with Chiyoko hitting KANABO with her Nine Tailed Fox in the middle of the ring. Sakura Megohime tagged with Mary MacGregor against Alena Sturmbjor and Mortebella in a chaotic war thaat would end with Sturmbjorn's infamous Warhammer to the Osaka Princess Megohime.
Due to Spaghetti Starchild's win over Marie St Dumas in the A-1 Grand Prix she got to choose her partner to face St. Dumas and Ruth Sampson for the tag team gold and chose A-1 Alumnus Gina Teller, the two sides facing off for over 35 minus of nail biting action; it seemed like the challengers would be robbed when Teller had a cradle but it was broken up by Linda Parker, but the One Punch Girl would persist and get the submission with the Cattle Mutilation and finally hold Amazon-1 gold for the first time in her career. Meanwhile the Joshi Kansai League's championship was on the line as Kathy Queen faced off against champion Cheyenne Martin in an early MOTY contender, both women firing off their most brutal maneuvers only to get two counts; Martin would use an eye rake to set up her world famous Tiger Driver and then a low blow to set up Famous Ray's Special for the submission but Queen endured, using a Bronco Buster to set up the Queen's Landing for the three count! After the match it was declared that the Joshi Kansai League championship was now officially a WORLD championship, making Kathy Queen a World Women's Champion!
But there was one more match to go and it was for the Amazon-1 Grand Championship, with the red hot Alexandra Stava going up against Holly Houghton. The Hooligan started strong but slowly began getting frustrated when not one but THREE Penalty Kicks failed to secure the win. Stava rallied back with her brand of hard hitting high impact offense and overwhelming power but the Bicep Suplex that injured Gutter and the Deadlift German that won her the A1GP only provided near falls. Houghton resorted the Luis Suarez Special to set up the Red Card Special with official Cindi Slam in perfect position for the three count, Houghton retains to cap off a fantastic beginning to Amazon-1's 2023!

Holly Houghton: "I make no apologies for fighting the way I always fight. Meanwhile I'm next going up against Mortebella because of her fluke win over me in the Grand Prix. Mortebella you've always been an afterthought back in WMD and you're going to learn that that's where you belong. The Hooligan's run on top was won with blood and grit and you don't have what it takes to stop it. WHO ARE YA?" --------------- Gina Teller: "Last year I never thought I'd get to compete for an A-1 title ever again. I really owe this to Spaghetti Starchild but this is my moment to redeem myself. And settle a score. Lara Lockhart, you just had to take advantage of me when I was vulnerable to make a name for yourself. Well I've had a good long year to think about how much you hurt me with your betrayal and I'm going to take it out on you. Lara Lockhart... I'm going to punch you." ----------- Alena Sturmbjorn: "Another conquest, another step towards regaining the Amazon-1 Grand Championship. Next I face Mary MacGregor, a formidable foe when weapons of war are freely given but in the battlefield of Amazon-1 her record has been less than worthy of falling to a true warrior. But no matter, whoever I must fell on my way back to the top will fall."

Amazon-1 62: Megohime vs Houghton
After a warm-up match where Clockwork Angel pinned Melly Sanders with a Backslide, we were told by A-1 Matchmaker Lucy Gold that due to Mortebella being injured at the last Women of Mass Destruction event she wasn't cleared to compete and therefore Sakura Megohime will take her place as next in like for the A-1 Grand Championship.
Because of this the show would begin with MAYHEM teaming with Annie Bell-Lee against Blair's Army and the maked Death Machine would choke out St. Dumas with the Katahajime to get the win for her trio. Youngster Jessika Strauss would endure the technical skills of Zara Al-Hardy and drop her with a Flying Elbow for a three count, while Ellen Farrant tried to get a victory over former Grand Champion Julia San Romero but was felled by a Spirit Splash; after the match Ellen needed help to get to the back and was walked out with the support of the trainer and San Romero.
Double Domme Session would best the Submissionaries as Kathy Queen carried her tidal wave momentum planting Terra with the Queen's Landing. Lady Liberty and Alexandra Stava would have a marathon back and forth bout ending with Stata cratering the veteran with a Bicep Suplex, and after that a physical and barbaric brawl between Sturmbjorn and MacGregor where both women beat the tar out of each other with Sturmbjorn getting the win with her infamous Warhammer knee.
Next was a grudge match for the A-1 Tag Gold set in the confines of a steel cage with The Guild battling Gina Teller and Spaghetti Starchild. Despite the intent to keep the rest of The Guild from interfering, Lockhart's husband Sam S McCloud tossed some weapons over the cage, the Guild using them to bloody Spaghetti Starchild. The One Punch Girl tried to rally back but in the end Lockhart would hit Starchild with a combination of the Rolling Cutter and the Meteodrive for the three count to capture tag team gold for the first time.
Finally it was Sakura Megohime vs Holly Houghton in one of the biggest A-1 championship matches in the company history. The Princess of Osaka was a house of fire but Holly used her "Luis Suarez Special" (Forehead Bite) to bust Megohime open, the blood dripping into her eyes making her whiff an early "Osaka In Bloom" (V-Trigger) allowing Houghton to rally back. Houghton kept the pressure but found Megohime's resilience frustrating, allowing the joshi star to nearly catch her with the hold she learned from her idol, the "REIKA Lock" (Reverse Figure 4) but the champ found the ropes. A second attempt at Osaka In Bloom hit the mark again but Houghton ended up under the bottom rope. The challenger tried to follow up but Houghton countered it, using a sleeper to set up a PK for the three count and a controversial win for The Hooligan to close the night.
0. Clockwork Angel d. Melly Sanders 2:20 via Backslide 1. Annie Bell-Lee and MAYHEM d. Blair's Army 18:53 when Death Machine II submits Marie St. Dumas via Katahajime 2. Jessika Strauss d. A-1 Matchmaker Lucy Gold: "The Amazon-1 Grand Championship scene has been more competitive than it has been in quite some time, and the many rivalries surrounding it merit special consideration. Mortebella bested Holly Houghton in the A1GP and traditionally that kind of victory has been rewarded with opportunities. I tried to grant her one but Mary MacGregor's aggression sidelined her, and I will make that whole. At the same time MacGregor also defeated Mortebella in their encounter, while Alena Sturmbjorn has gathered impressive momentum over the last two months. The only way I feel that can settle this is with a four way elimination match where anything goes. May the best woman win." ------------------------- Kathy Queen: "Wherever I go, I break boundaries, exceed expectations, and dominate the competition. I've set records, I've set firsts. I'm only 27 and I've accomplished almost every goal I've had coming into this... with two exceptions. The first is going one on one with the woman who I consider my role model, Robin "Holly" Walker. And that will happen later this year but the other goal is winning the Amazon-1 Tag Team title with my fellow Double Domme, Bella Hemlok. Lara Lockhart, you and I have been at it so many times and you know all too well what it means to be in the ring against the Ace of Spades. So make sure you and Abby Stern get a fresh set of kneepads because me and Bella will have you on your knees, screaming our names... as we make you our bitches." ------------------ Holly Houghton: "One woman alone cannot handle the Hooligan so now Lucy Gold is sending three against me. Huh. I get it, Gold. I'm not who you want as a champion, is that it? You see a kid who grew up poor on the streets of Manchester, who had to fight and fight dirty to get to where she is, and despite the fans being on her side you can't handle the fact that I'm not some posh corporate doll you can have do what she wants. You don't like that I bite scratch and claw like I was still on the streets. You don't like the fact that I don't do what you tell me to do. You know who you remind me of Lucy? You reming me of Bonnie Blair. A posh rich privelege girl who thinks she's entitled to have her way. Well I'm going to run through this obstacle, put all three of my competitors in hopspital then I'm personally coming over to wave my title in your face. WHO ARE YA?"

Amazon-1 63: Four Way War
After a warmup match where Indiana Frost steamrolled Melly Sanders, the Blair's Army bested Alexandra Stava and the All American Girls to open the show proper, while The Submissionaries did what they do best against Reinas de la Calles when Harms made Espada tap to the feared Harmbar. Bonnie Blair looked to climb the singles ranks but Kelly Condor caught her off gaurd with La Magistral to get the pinball.
The Santa Monica Wrecking Crew had a wild brawl with WMD Tag Champions MAYHEM ending when Lumpy Martinez pinned Death Machine II with the 420 Splash. Julia San Romero went up against a very game Sandra Lavender who put her away with the Witch Flip. Rookie sensation Jessicka Strauss upset the elder stateswoman Annie Bell-Lee after two Electric Funerals to pin the Living Dead Girl.
Amazon-1 Tag Gold was on the line and a rivalry was revived as The Guild was challenged by Double Domme Session. It was a back and forth battle with all four women delivering their deadliest offense but in the end Kathy Queen caught Abby Stern with the Queenmaker and Lara Lockhart's legs were caught by Bella Hemlok, making Lockhart helpless to watch as her understudy would be forced to tap to Queen's Random; Kathy Queen is now a quadrupe champion for the second time in her career, also holding the JKL World Women's Championship, the MCW Ladies Championship, and the PGCW Openweight Championship.
Finally we have the four way dance for the Amazon-1 Grand Championship as Holly Houghton defended against Mortebella, Alena Sturmbjorn, and Mary MacGregor. It was a chaotic melee with all four women having in-ring history with each other. Alena Sturmbjorn used a kendo stick and several "Runestone"s (Electric Chair Driver) on each of her opponents but eventually got knocked out cold by Mortebella's "Wake Up Dead". Houghton tried to catch Mortebella from behind but got reversed into a sleeper hold for the submission. However her last test was Mary MacGregor, who has delivered some absolute sadism to Mortebella in the Women of Mass Destruction promotion. Mortebella fought hard but was simply overpowered by the brute from Aberdeen Scotland, trapped in a Cobra Twist and forced to submit and a new champion crowned.
0. Indiana Frost d. Melly Sanders 1:18 via Octopus Hold 1. Blair's Army d. However after the bell Holly Houghton would come back out to ringside, grabbing the Amazon-1 Grand Championship belt. Lucy Gold, A-1's matchmaker and color commentator, would take off her headset to try to resolve the situation but Mary MacGregor came out to confront Houghton only to be decked with the title. Lucy Gold then grabbed a microphone.
Lucy Gold: HOUGHTON. I get it, you're mad, losing championships sucks. I will overlook this conduct if you put the belt down and walk away now. Don't make a mistake you'll regret later.
Holly Houghton replied by punching her in the jaw, knocking her out cold. Security rushed to the scene but Houghton jumped the rail and left the arena with the title belt in tow.

Mary MacGregor: "You all saw me as a sideshow, as a freak. You all dismissed me as a woman too young, too inexperienced to make it in Amazon-1. I destroyed Lumpy Martinez in my first night here, I've gone toe to toe with Gutter, and still you all underestimated me."
"And now I am Grand Champion."
"And more, I did it all by myself. I didn't need weapons. I didn't need an army, I didn't need any friends. I won that title with my own strength, and by strangling the life out of the last woman who stood in my way. "
"And now all the tears I ever cried are finally yours." --------------- Jessicka Strauss:
"You know if things were different, MacGregor and I probably could have been the best of friends. She probably wouldn't see it the same way but we're a lot alike. We were outcasts in school, we express ourselves without shame or fear, and we're both looking for respect. Well I respect you MacGregor. I know you're going to give me a thrashing. But I'm going to give it right back to you. And no matter who wins, at the end I'm going to offer my hand to you. Because I don't think you need championships to feel better about yourself. I think you need someone who understands you. I think you need a friend."
"And when I take your title, and give you my friendship... I hope you see that too." --------------- Lucy Gold
Lucy Gold is sitting in a chair with a woman standing beside her.
Interpreter: "Hello everyone. I am here acting an as an ASL interpreter. From here on out, I will be speaking as if I am Mrs. Lucy Gold."
Lucy Gold starts to sign, the interpreter watching.
Interpreter: "Due to the events of the previous show, my jaw has been broken and needed to be wired shut. I am expected to recover but in the meantime I will not be able to communicate verbally. Fortunally I am fluent in sign, and it would be more expedient for me to use an interpreter than any electronic means of getting my message across."
Interpreter: "Holly Houghton's contract has been terminated. In the history of Amazon-1, I have been verbally assaulted and harrassed but never have I been struck. And while I am a former wrestler, I am retired. My judgment here may seem harsh but an example needs to be made. As to Holly Houghton's absconding of the physical Amazon-1 championship, while I am well within my rights to press charges for the theft... this has become a personal matter between us. Holly, I am a mother and a wife. My work in the wrestling industry as well as my second job in real estate depends on my ability to communicate. You jeopardized the means with which I support my family."
Interpreter: "So here's what I propose, Houghton. If you return the championship belt, I will face off with you one on one. It won't be a sanctioned match, as you are under disciplinary suspension and I am medically suspended. So after the sanctioned events, we'll turn out the lights, announce the end of the show, and then I will come out to the ring. If you have the guts to come out, we'll have a Lights Out match. If you win, I will rehire you, and make you number one contender for the Grand Championship, and I'll even return the security deposit for the physical belt that you made out to me. If I win, however, you agree to pay for my out of pocket medical costs. That will include your deposit, your share of the purse from the last A-1 event, your appearance fee for that event... and a few hundred dollars more."
Interpreter: "Or I can just have you arrested. But I don't want to do that. Don't make me do that."

Amazon-1 64: Strauss vs MacGregor
After a warm-up match where the Reinas de la Calles were in action, we had a show proper where Annie Bell-Lee and The Guild bested Alexandra Stava and The All-American Girls, with The Guild bouncing back from their championship loss in a big way. MAYHEM would best Marie St. Dumas and Linda Parker thanks to a jaw-cracking Kenka Kick by Death Machine. Ellen Farrant had a great showing against Julia San Romero but fell to the former A-1 Grand Champ's Spirit Splash.
Bonnie Blair and Ruth Sampson went back and forth with The Submissionaries but it was Ruth Sampson and the R-Type Piledriver that got the big win for Blair's Army. Sandra Lavender looked to climb the ranks but Kelly Condor caught her with a backslide for the three count.
Meanwhile A-1 Tag Team Championship was on the line as the now pentuple champion Kathy Queen (having won the WMD Championship from Mary MacGregor) and Bella Hemlok looked to defend against the Santa Monica Wrecking Crew. All four women came for war but Lumpy Martinez was able to counter a "Hematophilia" (Codebreaker) attempt into a Full Nelson Slam and the Figure 420 submission to once again become tag team championships. Jessika Strauss and Mary MacGregor had an absolutely brutal slugfest, but despite taking a powerbomb to the floor and a powerslam in the ring, Strauss was able to lift Mary MacGregor (a full 90 pounds heavier) with a ring-shaking Chokeslam to become the Amazon-1 Grand Champion, albeit not with the physical title due to the events of last month.
The lights went off for a full minute after the dust settled, then "Dream On" by Aerosmith would be heard as Lucy Gold would make her entrance, not as Amazon-1 matchmaker, but as the trailblazer once known as GOLD*STAR, in ring gear. The crowd was on their feet and Lucy had to stop for a second to wipe a tear from her eye before entering the ring. The cheers turned quickly to jeers when "England 5, Germany 1" by The Business hit as Holly Houghton came down with a shopping cart of weapons, the Amazon-1 Grand Championship title belt draped in front, Holly throwing the weapons into the ring before entering inside.
The next twenty-five plus minutes were nothing but pure action as the two fought with an unbridled intensity. Lucy Gold would take a barbed wire bat to the head of Houghton to bust her open, but Houghton would use an Area Code Swing to hit the "Red Card Special" (Sliding Dropkick To A Prone Opponent) on Gold for a nearfall. The battle intensified, Gold hitting her famous "Golden Sword" (Tornado Chop) for a nearfall but when she went for "Golden Spike" (Brainbuster), The Hooligan blocked it, ducked another Golden Sword and used the "Luis Suarez Special" (Forehead Bite) cut Lucy open. With blood covering her eyes Gold was defenseless, and eventually a hair-assisted snapmare into a barbed wire bat set up a PK aimed at Lucy Gold's still wired-shut jaw to score the three count.
After the cameras stopped rolling Jessika Strauss would collect the physical form of the championship she won earlier in the night. Houghton would move to confront her but referee Cindi Slam stepped in, reminding Houghton that part of the deal was that she would be returning the belt. Houghton scowled but reminded Strauss that Houghton was now number one contender; meanwhile medical staff were checking on Lucy Gold, stapling her cut shut before taking her outside and, reportedly, to an ambulance out of fear that her jaw was re-broken.

A man in a sportcoat is seated in front of an A-1 banner.
???: "My name is Aurelio Garcia, and my wife is the woman you all know as Lucy Gold. I am here to provide an update on her condition. Her jaw needed to be re-wired, and as such she will not be able to continue her announcing duties for the forseeable future. Furthermore, during the match she suffered a partial tear in her bicep, so she cannot even sign properly. She is expected to make a full recovery still, fortunately."
Garcia: "She wants to let everyone know that she was touched by the reception she got as an in-ring competitor. She has been retired for quite some time and wasn't sure if anyone even remembered her as a wrestler. She is thankful for everyone's support and well wishes."
Garcia: "As for Holly Houghton, this is a message from me to you. Because of what you have done, I am now having to take a second job, and a mortgage on our house to pay for her medical expenses. I also had to take money out of my childrens' college fund. With luck we may be able to recover, but the next few years will be hard for us. I hope it was worth it, Houghton." ----------------- Jessika Strauss:
"WHOOOOOO! That was a MATCH! MacGregor you are a beast and a half and I know we're going to end up facing off again one day and I can't wait for it. As for you Houghton, I know how dangerous you are, and I'm not sure why you're acting the way you have lately, but someone needs to hammer some sense into you, and since Lucy Gold couldn't I guess it's up to me to do it. Until then, this win, this win is for all the misfits who think they can't make it. I'm proof that you can and that you don't need to sacrifice who you are to get there. I'll lead us all to happiness, LET'S SHRED!" ------------------ Blair's Army:
Blair: "Lucy Gold had what was coming to her, if you ask me. She allowed all these... denegerates and freaks into my ring and billed them over a proper role model like myself. Of course she was going to get bitten by the rabid animals she fed. This all goes back to Kathy Queen..."
Queen (off-camera): "You -really- can't get over me, can you?"
::Queen comes in, each shoulder carrying two title belts::
Queen: "I mean, I get it, even though I no longer have THE PENTAGRAM and it's just a... quadrangle or something... I've once again proven myself the Ace of Spades and the hottest thing in South Florida... and soon to be the next OG-Joshi World Champion. But that's another title for another time see... if you want to get another chance at the Grand Championship... you'll have to ge through me to do it."
Blair: "Hmph. Fact is, Queen, you're not worth my presence. So no, I won't face you... but Ruth Sampson will. And if she wins, I'll be the top contender."
Queen: "Huh. I didn't think I turned you into a voyeur, Blair. And I have no problem taking on any challenge but... why wouldn't Ruth get the contendership? That doesn't seem to be a thing Lucy Gold would approve of."
Linda Parker: "It doesn't matter what she approves of. It is in Ruth Sampson's contract that any championship opportunities given to her may be transferred to Ms. Blair instead. A stipulation approved by the Florida State Athletic Commission."
Queen: "...Sampson, for real? You were the face of women's wrestling in South Florida before your accident. You'd really sell out your future... for whatever this bratty bottom is paying you? Did you agree to this too, St. Dumas"
St. Dumas: "...Wait, did I?"
Queen: "Oof. Get a lawyer, Marie."
Linda Parker: "She has one."
Queen: "No, Blair does. As for you Sampson, if you've really lost your spine that badly then it will be easy to have you on your knees, screaming my name, as I make you my bitch..."
Queen points to Blair.
Queen: "As opposed to being HER bitch."
Queen blows a kiss to Sampson and walks off, Marie talking to Blair and Parker while Samspon looks conflicted. ------------ Amazon-1 65: Houghton vs Strauss May 8 @ 8PM EST 1. Amazon-1 65: Houghton vs Strauss
After Indiana Frost won the dark match the show proper would star with Blair's Army facing off against Alexandra Stava, Annie Bell-Lee and Ellen Farrant, ending with Bell-Lee spiking Bonnie Blair with Momento Mori. In a back and forth battle Mary MacGregor would rebound off her title loss at the expense of Zara Al-Harbi, while the Reinas de la Calles would use the ropes to get leverage in a pin over The Submissionaries.
MAYHEM and The Guild had a heated confrontation but while refree Cindi Slam was focused on Lara Lockhart and Death Machine II, Abby Stern would hit KANABO with a chair, allowing The Guild to double team their way into victory. Mortebella and Alena Sturmbjorn would seek to settle their rivalry in a physical Last Woman Standing match, Mortebella trying an unorthodox tactic of using her "Scream For Me" Kimura to target the arm and shoulder of The Warrior Queen, but the folly was exposed when Sturmjorn hit the Warhammer for the victory, Mortebella needing to be stretchered out afterward. In a classic of a tag team match the Santa Monica Wrecking Crew would do their best against The Unbreakables but Condor hit the Condor Drop on Rebecca Requiem after nearly 30 minutes for the pin.
In a number one contender's match with controversial stipulations, Kathy Queen would go up against Ruth Sampson, Queen being in control until the action spilled to the floor; Sampson would throw Queen into the barricade on her injured shoulder, following it up by slamming her into the ringpost and putting her in the Modern R't before going back into the ring, Queen unable to pull herself up with only one arm to beat the 20 count. Queen was able to leave the ring under her own power despite favoring her shoulder, but now because of this win her old rival Bonnie Blair will be next in line for a title match.
Finally it was Grand Championship action as Jessika Strauss went one-on-one with former champion Holly Houghton, who was jeered mercilessly by the crowd after her heinous actions against the legendary Lucy Gold. Strauss started out strong until distracted by Houghton's tag team partner Elizabeth Tower, which also allowed Houghton to get Strauss on the floor and smash her with a light tube while Cindi Slam was ejecting Tower. Houghton kept up the pressure, hitting three Superwoman Elbows in a row followed by a PK but only getting a two count. The crowd fired up the Rockstar and after a massive chokeslam and two Electric Funerals, Strauss would get what some would call an upset pin from behind to retain the championship! Strauss would celebrate with the crowd to close the show, but with the always dangerous and conniving Bonnie Blair on deck, one has to wonder how much longer Strauss' rise can last.

Kathy Queen: "My body has been battered and bruised a lot these last few weeks, and it's given me a conundrum. I want to defend my championships, but the Florida State Athletic Commission is suggesting I take three months to rest. I know that if I choose to ignore that suggestion, and I get injured any further, they'll suspend me. I am the Hardest Working Woman in all of wrestling... and I intend to work as hard as I can. So, I've made some phone calls, had some meetings... and this is the solution I've come up with. I'll be pulling back a few of my dates. I'll still be working in OG-Joshi, but I'll scale back my other commitments until my nagging injuries are less, well, nagging-y. In the meantime... I'm going to take my frustration out on my opposition."
"Lucy Gold has given me a rematch againt Ruth Sampson, No DQ and no Blair's Army at ringside. If Ruth Sampson comes out, I will defend my WMD Title AND my MCW Ladies Title against her in the same match. But if Bonnie Blair tries to be cute and use her subtitution change... both WMD and MCW have agreed they will not recognize a title change. It's a title match between me and Sampson, or it's not a title match at all. As for my Joshi Kansai League World Women's Championship, I will be defending that at the next SFU event against Sakura Megohime. And if I still have WMD and MCW belts in my possession... I'll sweeten the pot and put the entire Triangle on the line. That will square my commitments to everyone. But what Sampson and Megohime need to do is be committed to their future, their future on their knees... screaming my name... as I make them my bitches." ---------- Holly Houghton confronting Mary MacGregor
Houghton: "Look, I get it, you don't like me, but this isn't about me, right, it's about mutual benefit. I'm putting together a firm, the best wrestlers England has to offer, and..."
MacGregor: "I'm not English, ye fuck, I'm from Aberdeen FUCKEN Scotland."
Houghton: "British, then, the point is..."
MacGregor: "Fuck Britain, fuck the King, fuck your clique and fuck you."
Houghton: "Right then."
Houghton nods to a point behind her, MacGregor turning around to a chairshot from Elizabeth Tower. The two put their boots to Mary MacGregor before Jessicka Strauss comes out with a pipe sending them off.
Strauss: "You alright?"
She offers her hand to help MacGregor up who brushes it aside.
Strauss: "All I want is to show you that you don't have to be alone."
MacGregor: "Maybe I'd rather be alone."
Strauss: "...I can understand that. But hey, you ever change your mind? I'll make time for you."

Amazon-1 66: Blair vs Strauss
After warmup match featuring Lt Scarlet Anders, For Club and Country and Sandra Lavender bested the trio of Alexandra Stava and the Santa Monica Wrecking Crew, only for Houghton and Tower to turn on Lavender, delivering a brutal double powerbomb. In a technical battle Ellen Farrant would best Martie St. Dumas with a combination of a diving senton and a leg nelson. Mary MacGregor went over twenty minutes against Lady Liberty would be caught by a German Suplex; afterwards For Club and Country would come out again, Houghton taking out Liberty with the "Red Card Special" (Sliding Kick To A Prone Opponent) and then brutalizing MacGregor until security would intervene.
Reinas de la Calles continued to rise the ranks at the expense of Mayhem when Death Machine II missed a diving kneedrop allowing Bianca Espada to put her in a Romero Special. Alena Sturmbjorn and Annie Bell-Lee had a fast paced hard hitting brawl ending with Sturmbjorn hitting the Warhammer. The Unbreakables would hold on to their tag team gold at the expense of The Guild, San Romero catching Abby Stern in a Jackknife pin after a thrilling back and forth encounter.
Kathy Queen put up both the MCW Ladies Title and WMT Titles in a No DQ rematch against Ruth Sampson and the two of them put on a clinic; Sampson would focus on the injured shoulder of Kathy Queen but when Sampson tried to force a submission with "Modern R't" (Straightjacket Triangle) but Queen would use the ropes to put Sampson's shoulder's flat on her back to force a break; when Samspon recovered she would instantly be hit with a combination of Loser's Lunch and the Hardest Hitting Knee for the victory. Finally Bonnie Blair with her ill-gotten contendership would challenge Jessika Strauss for the Grand Championship. Blair would hit a diving knee drop early on answered with the "Electric Funeral" (Falcon Arrow Driver) for a near fall. Strauss looked to hook up for a second as Linda Parker distracted Cindi Slam allowing Ruth Sampson to interfere and hit Strauss with a devastating backbreaker, and Blair would get a baseball back to clobber Strauss to boot. Once Cindi Slam's attention was back on the match, Blair would apply her Blair Claw submission hold, and Strauss was unable to fight it off, ending the match with Bonnie Blair standing as a four-time Amazon-1 Grand Champion.
