Love: 2 Cold Scorpio/Al Snow: Both guys had a great combination of moves, decent looks, and athleticism, and I think Snow is pretty underrated as far as promos. 2 Cold was 20 years ahead of his time and had great entrance music to boot. Maaan, Scorpio has such cool moves, but that HAIR. I get blood red mad every time. So. Bad. I think I'm just about at the point he's gonna shave it off, there was a masked man who looked suspiciously like him in last episode, helping Hardcore Holly by tossing Bart Gunn off the entrance stage onto a table. Good stuff good stuff. Al Snow rules

I regularly listen to Stone Cold’s podcast, he took six months off for a break, apparently to do a TV show that will air after RAW in August (I think). He just did three new shows, so I checked out his great interview with Mark Henry (a very interesting dude with some cool stories!), and I was reminded of an old favourite of mine. Ron GAWD DAYUM Simmons I love Ron Simmons, the guy was a beast that I always truly believed could fuck up anyone he set foot in the ring with if he wanted to, kind of like Haku/Meng. Mark Henry’s recollection of Simmons when he was coming up was awesome and hilarious all at once (the workout story was some classic shit, look it up!), and Mark Henry summarizes Simmons perfectly by saying there are a lot of men out there, but Simmons is a GROWN man. Great stuff, and it just reminded me of how much I loved watching him work and the way he just crushed people in his APA stint (great skits there, too!). The whole podcast with Mark was great, but his recollections of Simmons (and the Ahmed Johnson incident 😊) were priceless. I miss watching guys like Simmons and not a lot of people talk about him anymore, so he’s my pick for this week!

Wrestlers I like others may not:
1) Osamu Nishimura. He was never a main eventer although he has challenged for the AJPW Triple Crown and is a former IWGP Tag Champ. He's one of my all time favorites because he is so technically sound.
2) Yuki Ishikawa. He started off in Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi then founded Battlarts. I think he has wrestled recently in Big Japan. Another technical wrestler who was heavily influenced by Inoki, Ishikawa is someone I love watching. His match with Daisuke Ikeda in FuTen back around 2005 for me was legendary.
3) Dennis Stamp. He was known for "I'm Not Booked!" from "Beyond the Mat." However, in watching his matches, he was a good jobber to the stars. He never looked weak, was a good wrestler and was good to have a 10 minute match with a star before jobbing.
4) Hulk Hogan. I have had a love/hate thing for Hogan for years. As a kid in the 80's, I loved him. In the early 90's I couldn't stand him, especially when he was in WCW. Then in the nWo, I liked them at first but the ego got tiresome. I liked his nostalgic run in WWE and I feel his Wrestlemania XIX match vs. McMahon should have been his last, it would have been a great note to go out on. However, he always had to have the spotlight He and Bisch almost killed TNA/Impact like they did to WCW.
However, when the mood hits, I can enjoy Hogan's WWF stuff. The Hogan matches I like most are his NJPW matches. Contrary to popular belief, Hogan ca wrestle. He's no Karl Gotch, bu he's honestly not bad.
As for the racism bit. I separate Hulk Hogan the character from Terry Bollea the man. Terry Bollea may be a racist piece of scum, but Hulk Hogan (especially in the 1980s) was a wholesome All-Americn hero. It's like if William Shatner shot someone. I wouldn't see it as Capt. Kirk committing a crime, it would be Shatner.
