Nice work everyone. I'll throw in some more: Hate: Lethal Injection. Hate it SO much. Love: Super Strong Machine. One of my favorites as a kid for no damn good reason.

Probably gonna catch flack for it but hell, I actually really like the Miz. He's not what you would call an elite in-ring talent but EVERYTHING he does, he does in character and it works. If you'd have told me that "Mike" from the Real World when I was in college would become one of the most consistently entertaining things on WWE television 15 ago, I'd probably have laughed at you and called you something unflattering (I was kind of rude as a teen :| ). But the dude has done exactly that. He won't lead the dance on a 5 star match but he plays his character better than anyone has in a long time and I really appreciate him for that.
The one guy that was popular who I NEVER understood a reason for was Ken Anderson. I didn't hate him (though the Mr. Kennedy gimmick annoyed me to no end) but I just didn't see why everyone thought he'd be some huge star.
I don't hate many performers (it's just entertainment) but if I had to choose one that I just really, really, really would be content to never see or hear from again, it would be Triple H. I just don't like that guy and haven't been interested in him since he started his main event run that's apparently never ended.

Hate: Maybe not hate, but I always felt that Misawa was not really as talented as Kobashi, Kawada, and Akiyama. When I discovered All Japan, it was Akiyama who really got my attention.
Also not hate, but I don't get the love for Bobby Roode. When an NXT/Bullet Club fan told me he's one of the best in the world while I was at work, I just kinda went, "... Really? I mean, he's not terrible, but..."
Love: I think it's more a matter of people just not caring either way but Hiroshi Hase was the fuckin MAN and he has one of the best belly to belly suplexes in the world. He was also fucking GREAT at selling and playing an imperiled babyface. The Miz is the best heel in WWE.
I don't hate the Young Bucks.

Love: If this question was asked a month or two ago, Jay White. Now that Jay's getting more appreciation, I have to go with Baron Corbin.
Hate: Dean Ambrose.

I guess you can add one more for the Hideki Suzuki love list.
I kinda don't hate anyone, but I'll choose Pierroth (now Bestia del Ring) from CMLL here due to nepotism. His sons (Rush, Dragon Lee and Mistico II) are big stars in CMLL, so they thrust him into Rush's Los Ingobernables stable and immediately put him into the main event scene once they find out he's Rush's dad, and he just wasn't good enough to be in there.

Ok love.
I'm pretty sure Gene Snitsky was liked by relatively no one, but he was a brutal power wrestler, had some great moments, and had so bad it's good voice acting. Didn't care for "yellow teeth" Snitsky though. Aside from his theme. That theme rocked.
I'll also add Heidenreich for similar reasons.
Now I'm not a hateful person, so I'll go with dislike/indifferent for these.
Cody Rhodes, oh holy canoli, Cody Rhodes. That match with Okada at the US G1 (I casually watch NJPW stuff, and I think Okada is a wrestling god at this point), was basically one big Okada carry job. I think he's a midcarder trying to punch way above his weight. He peaked when he wore the facemask tbh....maybe there's time, I mean he's only in his early 30s, but as of now, pass.
Alexa Bliss. I suppose she's ok on the mic, and decently attractive (though far from the beauty goddess people make her out to be), but she really doesn't draw me in in any way. Alexa Bliss really only inspires apathy from me. (I catch up on some of WWE's YouTube vids for the hell of it, fuck watching 3 hours of it though)

I was the one and only dude I could hear during G1 Special in San Francisco losing my mind cheering for Hirooki Goto amidst a sea of booing. Goto remains one of my favorite NJPW guys, and I've never understood the animosity he gets from many American fans.

Goto remains one of my favorite NJPW guys, and I've never understood the animosity he gets from many American fans. I do. In American wrestling a losing streak is basically considered to be the touch of death. It's why Bray Wyatt's debut was so heavily hyped, but as soon as he was shown to be a jobber people just didn't care one iota about him. Sure, you can suddenly book people to be winners overnight, but usually the American fan is a bit too impatient for that kind of business and just write people off outright. Same thing happened with Zack Ryder when it was seen that the WWE wasn't going to push him as much as the youtube vid fans would have liked. What makes it sillier is that Goto actually wins more often than he doesn't, but because he loses the world title matches he's written off.

LOVE: Cody. I get a total kick out of him and while I'm too far out of modern wrestling to say for sure, I get the sense a lot of people don't like him. Marty Scurll - I don't think that many people would say hate him, but I'm getting obsessed with him. I would put 10 world titles on him and declare him GOAT tomorrow if I could. That could change in a week, but he's the only modern wrestler that has fully clicked with me.
HATE: Bret Hart. I don't actually hate him, I just never saw him as a GOAT candidate like most people do. Bob Backlund - not old man Backlund, he was fun, but actual babyface held the belt for years Backlund. Never got it. For modern I was going to say Toru Yano but he has totally grown on me. I'll say Dalton Castle. I don't really get him. He's good in the ring but I don't get "The Boys" and I don't like his promos, although ROH promos are usually short and rarely do any of them click with me (other than Cody).

I really like him too, which surprises me because I hated Johnny Nitro/Morrison and initially just saw the Miz as his jabroni sidekick with obnoxious ring attire. When watching their promos, it just hit me that Miz had huge charisma while Johnny had zero. Then, he broke out on his own and IMO was a great foil for Cena. He reminds me of a modern day Roddy Piper, a guy who is never going to be considered one of the elite workers, but he's just pure charisma and obnoxiousness.

Hmm, thinking about it, there's a wrestler that people usually don't like overthe various internet boards but that i liked a lot in his WWF run : Koko B.Ware, i always enjoyed him coming to the ring with his bird.
I remember when watching on TV the fans around the arena were cheering on him as his character was a perfect babyface fit for the cartoony world that wrestling was at the time, so i was actually surprised once the internet came around and wrestling discussion boards popped up to see so many people disliking him , especially when he was finally introduced in wwe hall of fame.
Always puzzled me as he's one of the guys that's going to stay in my memory when i remember watching wrestling in my youth.
Now for a wrestler i dislike but that people usually like, i can't think of anyone really.

Hate is a strong word, and I dont hate them (hell, I enjoy them at times), but most of The Elite.
Cody was a solid B-player in WWE, left to the indies to mixed reviews, but suddenly he joins BC/Elite and he's supposed to be an S+ player? Get the fuck outta' here.
Kenny is great (although a bit too indy at times), but he's somewhat in the same boat. I liked pre-BC Kenny and thought his heel turn was going well. Then he hopped on-board BC and he's been seen as God-King ever since.
Marty I like in-ring. Im just confused as to why he's 'The Villain' when he's basically a goofy face/tweener. This may just come from my utter love of Regal and him calling himself a villain at times. I feel he'd be a whole level down if he wasnt in The Elite, as well. Shrug.
The Bucks are the Bucks. They were trolly smark-bait before BC/TE and they've just increased their own stock, accordingly. They're fine in their actual story matches, the lower-tiered appearances are when they get too damn goofy.
Side note: I've marked for Joey Ryan since Hippy-Ryan back in Wrestling Society X (and beyond), and I thought the dick-spot was hilarious BECAUSE IT WAS WITH DINO. The dick flip has been 99% terrible since then. The only one I laughed at since was a guy failing to dick flip because "it was cold in the gym." This makes me sad because that shit is going to be stuck with Joey until he's actually dead lol.

I don't mind Joey Ryan in general. I think he's got talent and more charisma than he's given credit for. That said, I think the penis-plex is a move that should not exist outside the world of DDT or similar comedy-heavy leagues.
I'd agree with you on Kenny. I think he's very talented but I'm not as impressed as the rest of the world seems to be.
I'll agree to disagree on Cody. I think he's gold with his old school heel antics and his ring-work is decent (not great, but decent) - that's enough for my old school tastes.
I don't get "the Villain" moniker either but Marty reminds me of one of those mid-carders I grew up just dying for someone to push to the top. I think it's why I marked out so much the first time Christian won the NWA belt. There were some people who just worked for me on a level I couldn't describe and I wanted nothing more than to see them pushed to the moon. But for every Steve Austin or Edge that got there in time, there were 10 guys that never really touched a top title at least in America.
Oh, and thought of one:
Love - Steve Blackman. I think I may be the only Steve Blackman fan on the planet. I didn't mind the lack of charisma. I remember liking a lot of his matches.
