So my current fire promoter mode has been going for 8 years I've been top brand for the last 3 years with Okada holding 8 world titles currently & my company owning 46 titles we are known as the belt collectors but... I thought I'd query something as I wondered why there is the option of 100k of branded snacks when the largest arena is 65k and the fans in those arenas dont get through 50k worth of snacks π literally only thing that has puzzled me since playing the game

I thought I'd query something as I wondered why there is the option of 100k of branded snacks when the largest arena is 65k and the fans in those arenas dont get through 50k worth of snacks π literally only thing that has puzzled me since playing the game Welcome to the C!C π That is a very good question and it makes me wonder if either Spike didn't realize this oversight (among many others they tend to miss) or if maybe they wanted people to "learn a hard lesson" about spending too much money on something that they can't actually recoup profits for. It could just be a way to get players to realize they have to rein in spending across the board by giving the freedom to only lose money in some situations. Tough love by Spike π does anyone have any advice on signing freelance wrestlers? Do you mean how to sign them once you see them available or do you mean how to make free agents appear? I haven't been able to sign any visible free agents because my gym is so full. That is due to the "code" i used to allow me to add as many wrestlers as I wanted to my initial roster. As a result, I haven't been able to sign anyone new since my current save started. I probably never will be able to unless enough of my guys retire. If you mean having free agents appear, that is a really good question that I haven't been able to figure out. I have a lot of my edits on my Fire Promoter save that have still not actually shown up as free agents. I send my scouts out all the time, all "levels" of the scouts and for every time frame. I stagger my scouts so some get sent for 3 months, some for 6, etc. And I have them to go all regions.

Oh... I only send one scout at a time to find new free agents.
I think the initial gym is locked at 8 or 10 wrestlers because I had to upgrade pretty quickly after starting with 6.
When it comes to "Offer Contract" I have yet to have a freelancer sign with me for the smallest of the three signing bonuses you can offer, only the latter two. My promotion is only C out of ABCD popularity though. And these are unpopular wrestlers who do the same style as my promotion.
I'm a little worried about retirement since I am using a lot of guys from the FPR roster who are now in their late 30s and 40s...

Oh... I only send one scout at a time to find new free agents. You have the option to send about 5-6 scouts out for various amounts of time. I make sure that I always have scouts abroad. It does get somewhat expensive but it's worth it. On a side note, I also always have a few wrestlers on Training Expeditions for two reasons: 1) It's a good way to have some of your roster gain popularity in regions that you are planning on entering. 2) It's a good way to make sure you don't lose trust with certain wrestlers who you aren't currently booking. If you have more than you can currently use (especially if you did the unlock code, like I did), then you lose trust with them if you don't book them consistently. Sending them abroad fixes that and allows them to get that popularity boost in another region. It's a great way to keep wrestlers "on the back burner." I'm a little worried about retirement since I am using a lot of guys from the FPR roster who are now in their late 30s and 40s... I've already had about 5 wrestlers retire. The thing that annoys me about it is that 1) it happens immediately with no warning and 2) there is nothing we can do to stop it, as far as I know. It doesn't seem completely random as I think they may factor wrestler age into it but I've had some guys retire earlier than other guys that are still competing on my Fire Promoter save. I'm not sure how it works. I did "cheat" a little though. After they prematurely retired one wrestler, I put him back into my save in another slot, He started fresh with the lowest popularity but I just re-built him up.

Two updates from my Fire Promoter story:
1) Last night I brought us into Year 9! We're still decisively the #1 promotion with SWA a distant second. (It helped we poached all their Titles). We're at S/S/S/A and waiting for Europe to finally give us that "S" rating for popularity. What amazes me is how I'm still going with this save. Having a large roster and pushing new people with each new region we enter has really helped keep the cards and head canon fresh.
2) I had what can only be explained as a "Fire Pro knows π‘" moment last night.
I was creating the card for Year 8 - November and had an empty slot. I usually load up my cards with Championship matches when possible and saw that one of my teams that held another promotion's Title wasn't yet on the card. So I decided to have the Monroe Brothers defend the JTW Heavy Tag Title but I wasn't sure who I'd have them defend against.
I realized that I haven't had Thunder Strike on a card for a few months (as I've been pushing Alicia in his place as the leader of J.U.S.T.I.C.E.) but everyone else in his faction already had a match on the card. So I let nostalgia make the choice for me and teamed him with his old partner Bolt (Geese's masked persona in Japan).
Thunder and Bolt won the Titles with a 99% rating.
And then it happened. The news to start the month of December: Thunder Strike retired.
Holy shit. You mean to tell me that the game's retirement RNG kicked in right after a near perfect retirement match for Thunder? After all the UBL canon issues he had with Geese, they reunite for one match in Fire Promoter, defeat common enemies in an excellent match, and then Thunder retires right after? DAMN. Blew my mind.
Fire Promoter gives absolutely no clue or foreshadowing about retirements either. It just randomly happens.
I've "nullified" past Fire Promoter retirements by bringing in the edit and having them overwrite lesser used ones. But this time, I'm honoring the storytelling and letting the retirement stand. It was perfect.
Too bad the JTW Tag Titles are vacant now though π

Europe is so quick to give up the ass, nice and smooth, but is still holding out on the "S" rating after all this time. Rather confounding...
Also, as incredible as that Thunder Strike retirement scenario sounds, one has to believe that if a 100% rating had been achieved Geese would have also bowed out. Which would of course lead to Shin Akuma and God Rugal crashing the ceremonies with stereo Shun Goku Satsu's on both of them, as per usual when Fire Promoter's secret requirements are met. I probably shouldn't have spoiled that one though.

Europe is so quick to give up the ass, nice and smooth, but is still holding out on the "S" rating after all this time. Rather confounding... I had the same experience. Both Latin America and Europe took me much longer to earn the S than North America and Japan. That doesn't even make sense either because I had less "S" rated wrestlers early on when I stared in my North America territory and then moved onto Japan right after. Maybe it's a style preference. I don't really know. There are so many unknowns with Fire Promoter. Took me like 2 in-game years to get an "S" in Latin America and about a year and a half for Europe. It also kinda bugs me that the game didn't give me any kind of reward for completing the clean "S" sweep for each region. But maybe in 3 months they'll randomly throw two of my traveling wrestlers in a sudden feud instead π Also, as incredible as that Thunder Strike retirement scenario sounds, one has to believe that if a 100% rating had been achieved Geese would have also bowed out. Which would of course lead to Shin Akuma and God Rugal crashing the ceremonies with stereo Shun Goku Satsu's on both of them, as per usual when Fire Promoter's secret requirements are met. I probably shouldn't have spoiled that one though. And a 100% rating in that match plus both of them finishing their previous matches with desperation finishers would have meant that a NESTS clone of Dan Hibiki would have been discovered by one of the talent scouts...and then been completely ignored by bookers π

Your Toryumon fed sounds like heaven - one question though, most of the Toryumon/DG guys are juniors. Did you edit their weight classes so they could challenge for all titles? Your lineup with all the unit leaders is making me shed a tear. Toryumon from 1999-2009 is absolutely amazing. I still pinch myself that I met a bunch of the DG crew. So I've created a pretty accurate 2005 Fire Promoter game using a lot of the "default" Returns wrestlers, along with various edits. The promotions are: 1. WWE - 30 2. NEW JAPAN - 30 3. NOAH - 30 4. ROH - 20 5. CMLL - 20 6. AAA - 20 7. ZERO-ONE - 15 8. TORYUMON - 15 9. DDT - 15 10. CZW - 10 11. BIG JAPAN - 10 12. MICHINOKU PRO - 10 13. OSAKA PRO - 10 I'm playing Toryumon, so instead of 15 I started off with six: Ultimo Dragon, Magnum TOKYO, CIMA, Mochizuki, Shuji Kondo, Milano Collection AT. Basically all the faction leaders. It's November 2005. So far I've scouted and recruited Mango Fukuda and BxB Hulk. I've gone from D to C popularity in Japan.

this mode is so much fun.
started off rough and not fully understanding how things worked and went bankrupt in 3 months. lol.
then started over and got the hang of it and stole everybody's belts and got to number 4 in a day of playing.
am i missing something or can you not just pick a cage or gruesome match for just 1 match on the card, it does the full show all cage matches. right. im not crazy. is there not some obvious way to just have one single cage match on a show?
also i borrowed a wrestler from another company, did a tournament, and put his title on the line. then the dickhead left me hanging and no showed my event, but his title was still on the line and one of my guys won it and NEVER gave it back. hahahaha.

You canβt pick a cage, gruesome or death match unless itβs for the full card. But, it is good practice to create a save after making a card before starting it as you can save scum a fair bit if someone no shows and reload till they make the event. Same goes for offering contracts or inviting to an event.

Glad you enjoyed it! π
Come to think of it, not only was that a perfect retirement for Thunder Strike, but it was also one of my last times playing Fire Promoter. Once Move Craft came out, I put all my FPW time into it over the summer. I haven't run any shows with Fire Promoter since early/mid June. I think one reason is because I finally earned "S" class in each region so it didn't really feel like a challenge anymore. Perhaps one day in the future I'll begin a new Fire Promoter save and start with a smaller promotion and focus on different wrestlers than I did last time.

Is Fire Promoter a separate game, or is this a mode within Fire Pro?
I'm looking to get started with Fire Pro via Steam - but this promotor version you're describing sounds infinitely more interesting than the regular game itself!
Any and all info appreciated!
