*The cameras turn on and we see Matsuki-Gun UBL representatives.*
*Miss Asako Matsuki walks out on front with a microphone*[Asako:] “Your welcome for invitation to hear from your next Infinite Continuum Champion!! Betting man can decide between one of these warriors on stage but it clear Matsuki Holdings has best odds to hold top UBL Title! Let’s hear from Chrome first as UBL couldn’t wait to bring him back and SWA can't wait to crown him World Open Champion!”
*Saji nods to Miss Matsuki then taps the microphone and smiles.*[Saji:] "Holla at yo boy!"
*Kazuo stands up and gets a good amount of applause from the press, smiles, and sits down.*[Saji:] "I always knew Kurt
the dirt spent too much time playing pocket pool. Now it looks like he's better at playing
himself than trolling others cause I'm back early from my ubble vacay! Real talk - I still got that
katana sharpened for him and he's got nowhere to run after this league is over. But I'm done wasting my words on that professional loser. See, I plan on winning the Infinite Continuum Title, just like my two brothers from our Matsuki mother do.”
*Miss Matsuki looked annoyed at this so Saji has to choke back a laugh.*[Saji:] “I got the big D-
*pregnant pause* Block energy and I'm gonna make this league my statement to UBL. Yeah, the original Geesester is back but I ain't no underdog and I'm not worried about robot Rivers, Bak Fu, or that Centurion bitch either. I've won titles in SWA and FPCPP. I just gotta get it done in UBL and that's gonna happen next year. It's just - to do that, I'm gonna have to have an awkward Matsuki family reunion with one of my brothers in the Finale Tournament.”
*Kazuo outstretches his arms and puts it around RYOMA and Tetsu who remain stoic.*[Saji:] “But that's not the only league I'm layin' serious pipe to. I’m in the SWA World Open too and it's time to speak on this. El Rey, you drew first blood on the first night but that will come back around to haunt you one day. We both know the only way you were beating me was blinding me but I can see clearly now the pain is gone - and you a
b*tch."And to everyone else I’ve yet to fight, remember this – you’re dealing with a former SWA Aftermath Champion. And I’m not just fighting for me, I’m doing it for my BH
boy Connor Cipris too. There’s a reason I was the first billed for this League. You don't believe me? Just ask Tony Castille, who is now freshly defeated and shined up real nice. But that's all I gotta say for now. I’m gonna show you the rest in the ring rather than spend any more time mouthing off these sweet words.”
*Asako smirks and raises her microphone.*[Asako:] “You stop talk on your own? That’s a first. And now, next to speak is Tetsu Gushiken!”
[Tetsu:] “I am truly humbled to be placed in the Universal Championship League, with the top competitors of the past ten years of the UBL, and given an opportunity to compete for the new Infinite Championship. The loss of my Universal Circuit Title still stings but I have made peace with it thanks to the wisdom imparted by my mentor RYOMA. The chance to face current and former Champions like Corey O’Brian and Joachim provide a source of inspiration for me to prepare for Block C in most diligent fashion. And getting a rematch with THRASH Ogawa is also on the forefront of my mind.”
*Tetsu takes a second to consider his next words then nods to RYOMA and Kazuo.*[Tetsu:] “And with full respect to the challenges soon faced by my brothers, I believe that the Block
I am in has the toughest competition so I must rise above my own previous limits in order to advance to the Tournament.”
*Tetsu nods once again to them, and RYOMA pats him on the back with support.*[RYOMA:] “Respect is shown by being authentic. And I agree with your assessment. After ten years, Corey O’Brian has remained my measuring stick for a Champion. I am encouraged by your excitement to face him as well as the experience that you will gain in doing so. Joachim remains a top contender and you know how fierce a competitor THRASH is-“
*A voice is heard shouting from the back of the room.*“Y’all forget who the fifth man at the table is.”
*The voice belongs to an aggrieved looking Charles Langford who is joined by a smirking Kurt Sanders and a …mostly functional Jasper Woodruff.*[Charles:] “What's the old saying? If you can't tell who the sucker is - it's
you. Now, as a gentleman of means and ability, I have endured just about every insult imaginable. But being left off the list of
reputable contenders in my block is too much. I’d challenge y’all to a duel but I’ll do the next best thing – serve you with a defamation lawsuit.”
*Everyone in attendance groans and then Charles laughs.*[Charles:] “Just kiddin on
that one. Gotta draw the line somewhere, after all. But don’t think I’ll forget your denigration of my road to the Infinite Continuum Championship. Tetsu, our match is on the first Continuum event so I’m gonna make everyone a quick believer as to my overwhelming odds in winning this Title.
I wouldn’t bet against me.”
*Kurt whispers in his ear and Charles eyes light up.*[Charles:] “Right, right. Saji – we got some business too. You’re not the only one in the SWA World Open but you
are the only one here who started with a loss. While you were getting shined up by El Rey Dorado-“
*Jasper begins jumping up and down screaming “gold”*[Charles:] “Easy, friend. I know Rey’s got gold in his name. But he won’t be the one to win it, neither will you, Saji. I’ve already defeated Armel St. Martin and will do the same to you when our time comes. Imagine that, ladies and gentleman – me beating Tetsu and Kazuo within a month of each other, and within a year of breaking
your arm, RYOMA. Sounds like I raised on you boys and you’re yet to even
see my bet.”
[Asako:] “Only thing
I see is big losah – and Matsuki-Gun will prove it. Get out my press conference!”
*Charles and Kurt laugh as Jasper looks on.*[Charles:] “Always a pleasure, Miss. But you said earlier that a betting man would see how great your odds are. It’s just too bad that your team hasn’t ever won a big pot before. Aside from RYOMA getting rich off Nobu’s buy-in on a Tag run and Tetsu cheating Sanders out of the Circuit Title, what has your team ever
really done in UBL? They talk big and come up short every single time – and I got news for y’all. It’s gonna happen
again in this league. Kurt and I-“
[Asako:] “Only Title Kurt ever held he stole from Tetsu! And only gold-“
*Kazuo gets a gleam in his eyes*[Saji:] “Wait, hold up - I heard there was
gold in the room next door.”
*Jasper shouts GOLD and frantically runs past Charles and Kurt, knocking them both down with an unintentional dual shoulder block. Kazuo and the press erupt in laughter as the two “gentleman” pick themselves up and dust off.*[Charles:] “Oh you’ll pay for that, Saji. Mark my words.”
[Saji:] “Only thing I’ll be marking is your head with my new
Finger-Bang Blade.”
*Kazuo holds his hand up and makes a gun motion as Charles and Kurt walk out.*[Asako:] “End of press conference!! No questions! Don’t stay here but you no go home!”
[Saji:] “I think you got that mixed up but okay.”
[Asako:] “It right, I look up online!! Good night!!”
*And the press conference ends at the night owl hour of noon.*
