First round results of FPWA - Boesch territory at the SuperDome in New Orleans.
Johnny Valentine defeated Jim Duggan with via submission with an Arm Lock Neck Hold at 25:55. Bronko Lubich is the ref so a lot of slow counts. Match received a 93% rating.
David Von Erich defeated Terry Gordy at 21:55 with the Iron Claw. The match received a 93% rating.
Tully Blanchard won via submission with a Belly Hold at 16:00 after he hit JYD with Brass Knuckles. The match received an 85% rating.
Jake 'The Snake' Roberts defeated 'The Modern Day Warrior' Kerry Von Erich with a Sleeper Hold at 24:47. The match received a 100% rating.
Kicking out of two 747 Splashes from the One Man Gang would make one think 'oh, it's just a video game.' But given that it was Fritz Von Erich that kicked out of two 747 splashes from the One Man Gang...this is why Fire Pro is so realistic. Except for the fact that Fritz actually lost in the end...to a bearhug from OMG at 17:44. Although Fritz did juice. The match received an 83% rating.
Blackjack Mulligan defeated 'The Handsome Halfbreed' Gino Hernandez at 12:14 with the Iron Claw. The match received a 77% rating.
'Dr. Death' Steve Williams pinned Ted Dibiase at 15:06 with the Turnbuckle Stampede. The match received a 74% rating.
'Big Cat' Ernie Ladd defeated 'The Polish Hammer' Ivan Putski at 44:27 with the Oklahoma Stampede. Thought this match would never end as both guys were gassed at the 25 minute mark and neither had a submission to put the other away. And then Bronko Lubich runs into Ladd and juices. Match received a 100% rating.

Tully Blanchard defeates 'The Big Cat' Ernie Ladd at 9:32 with a spinning vertical brainbuster on a chair. Obviously, Tully's finisher was the slingshot brainbuster, but that does not exist in Fire Pro. So this will have to do. Match received a 67% rating.

First round of FPWA - Lucha Heavyweight Tourney at a sold out Estadio Azteca.
In a huge upset, La Parka defeated Santo at 20:35 after a Powerbomb. The match received a 92% rating.
Rey Mysterio, Jr. defeated Ultimo Dragon after Dragon submitted to a Kabel Naria at 15:46. The match received an 85% rating.
Dos Caras defeated Rayo de Jalisco at 14:26 with a Side Roll Stunner. The match received 76% rating.
Canek defeated Blue Demon at 15:04 with a Fire Powerbomb. Blue Demon had a lot of the control in the match, but the fire powerbomb was too much. The match received an 89% rating.
Lizmark defeated El Hijo Delo Santo with a victory roll at 10:42. The match received a 75% rating.
Cien Caras defeated Perro Aguayo at 25:54 with a La Magistral cradle. Caras dumped boatloads of plasma all over the ring. The match received a 97% rating.
'American Dragon' Bryan Damielson defeated Atlantis at 15:22 with the Cattle Mutation. The match only received an 86% rating, but I thought it was a better match than that.

La Parka defeated Rey Mysterio, Jr. in another upset. Mysterio dominated the match, but La Parka happened to catch Mysterio in a powerbomb with referee Copetes Salazar was in perfect position for a faster count. The match received an 81% rating.
Canek defeated Dos Caras despite bleeding like a stuck pig. He won at 14:11 with a Tilt-a-whirl torturerack. The match received an 88% rating.
Cien Caras defeated Lizmark with a rollup pin out of nowhere at 13:45. The match received a 91% rating. Lizmark really controlled the match, but Caras hit that rollup out of nowhere to get the victory.
Mil Mascaras defeated 'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson at 10:00 with a La Magistral cradle. Danielson was outraged by what he felt was a fast count. The match received an 85% rating.

Canek defeated La Parka with a Fire Powerbomb at 12:17. The match received an 86% rating.
MASSIVE upset as Cien Caras defeated Mil Mascaras in 4:15 with a rollup pin. Caras stunningly dominated Mascaras. Were Mexican Cartels involved? Who knows. Match got a 60% rating.
FINALS
Canek defeated Cien Caras in an awesome, back and forth match that received a 100% rating. The match went to 20:56 as Cien Caras submitted to a Tilt-a-Whirl Torture Rack.

First round results of FPWA - Lucha Libre Tag Tourney:
Konnan/Louie Spicolli defeated Jack Evans/Teddy Hart at 13:34 when Jack Evans was counted of the ring. This had the potential to be a great match, but Konnan destroyed Evans outside of the ring and Evans could not make it back in time.
Villano I/Villano II defeated Sabu/Rob Van Dam at 30:35 when Villano I made Sabu submit to a Cobra Twist. The match received a 95% rating.
Juventud Guerrera/Psicosis defeated Dos Caras & Dos Caras, Jr. when Juvy got Dos Caras, Jr. to submit to a Stretch Muffler Hold at 21:46. The match received a 75% rating.
Los Gringo Locos defeated Gran Hamada/Ultimo Dragon at 24:12 when Eddy pinned Ultimo with a rollup pin. Eddie hit the rolling slam and went for the Frog Splash and missed. But as Ultimo got up before Eddy could hit the frog splash, Eddy got him with the rollup pin. The match received an 88% rating.

Konnan/Louie Spicolli defeated The Villanos when Spicolli hit the Death Valley Driver on Villano II at 17:30. The match received a 73% rating.
Los Gringo Locos defeated Psicosis/Juventud Guerrera at 13:06 when Eddy pinned Juvy after a Flying Kneel Kick. The match received a 75% rating.
FINALS
Eddy Guerrero/Art Barr defeated Konnan/Louie Spicolli at 21:22 when Eddy pinned Spicolli with the Crucifix Jumping Bomb. The match received a 92% rating. Afterward, Konnan and Spicolli hugged Barr and Guerrero and they flipped off the crowd.
