The Fire Pro Wrestling Alliance is a fantasy e-fed trying to simulate the old NWA territory system with wrestlers from past and present in the following territories. Here's the list of current wrestlers and their assigned territories. Wrestlers will move from territory to territory and setup for a quarterly PPV between the territories. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CWmLKyprGsaDSo-EI2mbU6VCdomQ_qGslFE3vp2BBgs/edit#gid=0The first step is to decide champions (both heavyweight and tag team) for each territory. We first start off with the McMahon (Northeast US) territory. In a 16-man singles tournament, here's the first round results (I did random selection with the only qualifier being the wrestler had to be a former WWWF/WWF/WWE Heavyweight Champion at one point).
Bob Backlund pinned Shawn Michaels at 14:13 with a Japanese Leg Clutch roll. Match rating was 86%. Backlund could be difficult to beat with his technical wrestling skills.
Diesel pinned Stone Cold Steve Austin at 10:53 with a jacknife power bomb. Match rating was 68%. Stunning upset as the worst drawing WWF/WWE champion dominated arguably the highest drawing WWF/WWE champion.
Randy Savage pinned Ultimate Warrior at 6:58 with a top role elbow drop. Match rating was 62%. Savage dominated Warrior here and looked fantastic in the process.
Superstar Billy Graham won by CRITICAL! with a Bear Hug over The Rock at 21:17. The Rock was in control of the match, but Graham made a roaring comeback. The Rock got counted out, but the countout didn't stand and when The Rock got back into the ring he got CRITICAL'd by Graham with a bearhug. Part of the rules is that CRITICAL!'s put the wrestler out of action for a while. So you won't be seeing The Rock in action for a while.
Mankind won via submission versus Yokozuna at 48:49 with the Mandible Claw. The match rating was at 100% as yes...they went almost 50 minutes. Actually the match was boring and I'm glad that Mankind won as the creation for Yokozuna was poorly done (no leg drops, no Bonzai drop, etc).
Brock Lesnar won via pinfall with the F5 over John Cena at 15:10. Match rating was at 98%. A much faster pace than the Mankind vs. Yoko match and more realistic as Cena was taken to 'suplex city' by Lesnar. Cena did turn the tables and hit Lesnar with the F5 of his own, but that pissed Lesnar off and he beat Cena shortly afterward.
Bruno Sammartino won via submission over Buddy Rogers at 17:33 via the Bear Hug. Match rating was 89%. Bruno had control of the match early on, but the Original Nature Boy made a comeback and made it competitive before submitting to Bruno's bear hug.
Hulk Hogan won via CRITICAL! over the Undertake at 28:48 with the Hogan Leg drop. Match rating was 100%. Neither guy could put the other away for the longest time until Hogan hit the Undertake with what seemed like the 100th leg drop.
So, the 2nd round is left with:
Hogan vs. Bruno
Brock vs. Mankind
Superstar Billy Graham vs. Randy Macho Man Savage
Bob Backlund vs. Diesel

2nd Round of the McMahon Territory (US Northeast).
Bruno Sammartino pins Hulk Hogan at 16:56 after a piledriver. The match received a 97% rating. This was action packed considering the participants and Bruno had a slight advantage until Hogan caught him with a big boot and a perfectly positioned ref, only to get a 2.9 count. Bruno then hit the piledriver with the ref in perfect position to get the victory.
Diesel pinned Bob Backlund after the jackknife powerbomb at 11:25. Backlund had control of the match, but Diesel started hitting some big moves and after 2 jackknife powerbombs he came away with the victory.
Macho Man Randy Savage pinned Superstar Billy Graham at 12:14 with a top rope elbow drop with Graham on a chair. Savage grabbed the early advantage and appeared that he was going to dominate the match like he did in the first round against the Ultimate Warrior. But, Graham made a comeback and made it very competitive before Savage hit the pulled tights piledriver and the top rope elbow drop.
Mankind pinned Brock Lesnar at 22:43 with the double underhook DDT. Match was given a 100% rating. This was an excellent match as Foley took control early and Brock could not suplex Foley due to Foley's ability to block the suplex attempts. Eventually Lesnar started to hit some suplexes but Foley wouldn't give up. Then Lesnar gained the advantage with some MMA hols and fighting techniques, but again...Foley wouldn't give up. Lesnar ended up juicing. Lesnar did get screwed by referee Joey Marella who went inexplicably out of position after Lesnar hit his second F5 in a row. And then Foley got up and with Marella in perfect position, hits the double underhook DDT and pins Lesnar.
The Semis will have the following matches:
Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Diesel
Bruno Sammartino vs. Mankind.

In the semifinals...The Macho Man Randy Savage pinned Diesel at 9:25 with the top rope elbow drop. The match got a 82% rating. Savage hit the top rope elbow drop early and controlled the match, but could not get in position to hit the top rope elbow, again. It appeared that Diesel could come away with a victory if he could hit some big moves while Savage was trying to set up for the top rope elbow. But, Savage hit the tights pulled piledriver and then hit the top rope elbow. Even with referee Joey Marella badly out of position, Savage was able to get the victory which show just how devastating the top rope elbow drop is.
In an upset, Mankind pinned Bruno Sammartino at 12:10 with a tights pulling piledriver. The match got a 84% rating. Mankind had the clear advantage in most of the match as Bruno was basically exchanging a figure four for tights pulling piledrivers and double underhook DDT's.
That means the finals is set....
Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Mankind

The Macho Man Randy Savage wins the inaugural McMahon Territory Heavyweight Championship. He won with the top rope elbow drop on Mankind at 11:19. This was an action packed, fast paced match with Foley hitting a bunch of double underhook DDT's and tights pulling piledrivers. In fact, it started to look like a battle of the dueling tights pulling piledrivers. Mankind went for the Mandible Claw, but Savage got out of it and eventually hit the top rope elbow for the victory and the belt. This was a 87% rated match.
Now, the Tag Title Tournament which will feature:
The Rockers vs. The Dudley Boyz
Tony Atlas/Rocky Johnson vs. The Rock/Mankind
The Hardy Boyz vs. The Wild Samoans
The New Age Outlawz vs. Demolition

First round of the McMahon Territory (US Northeast) Tag Team Tournament
The Rockers beat the Dudley Boyz at 28:43 with Marty Jannetty pinning D-Von Dudley with a hurracanrana and a 94% match rating. The stars of this match were Bubba and Michaels. Bubba hit numerous splashes in a row. Neither team could hit tag moves against each other.
Tony Atlas/Rocky Johnson beat The Rock/Mankind when Atlas used a press powerslam for the pin at 30:43. The match got a 100% rating. Atlas and Johnson looked really good here.
The Wild Samoans beat the Hardy Boyz by CRITICAL! when Sika hit Matt Hardy with his own finisher, the Twist of Fate at 25:01. This match got a 88% rating, but should have had a better rating as it was a fun match to watch. Jeff Hardy juiced, referee Joey Marella juiced. It was a crazy, great brawl.
Demolition beat the New Age Outlawz with a standing shoulder hold by Ax on the Road Dogg at 29:22. The match got a 93% rating as Demolition pretty much dominated the NAO.
That leaves the 2nd round between:
The Rockers vs. The Wild Samoans
Demolition vs. Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas

The Rockers beat the Wild Samoans in a 91% match rating at 16:24 when Shawn Michaels hit the Superkick on Afa. This was a really good match and probably deserved a better rating if it hadn't gone short. Both Jannetty and Michaels starred in this one.
Tony Atlas/Rocky Johnson win over Demolition at 17:13 when Atlas pinned Smash with a Press Powerslam. The match got a 92% rating. Another really good match as both teams dished out all of the moves in a short period of time. Atlas had worked over Ax outside the ring and then press powerslammed Smash and Ax was too beat up to breakup the pinfall.
So, in the finals of the Tag Team Tourney for the McMahon territory it will be:
The Rockers vs. Tony Atlas/Rocky Johnson.

The Rockers win the Tag Team Titles by beating Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas when Michaels pinned Johnson with a Superkick at 42:18. The match rating was 93%. Both teams struggled to finish the other off, but pulled out all of the moves. Great match.
So, in the McMahon Territory (US Northeast), we will have The Undertaker, Matt Hardy and The Rock out for a little while as they recover from being CRITICAL'd!
This could lead to some feuds between their attackers with UT vs. Hogan, The Rock vs. Superstar Billy Graham and the Hardyz vs. The Wild Samoans.
I project that the Macho Man's first title defense will be against Yokozuna who lost in the 1st round to the finalist, Mankind. I will have to alter some of Yoko's movesets as they are pretty much silly and not representative of how he wrestled.
The first defense for the Rockers is scheduled to be against Demolition.
Up next! FPWA - Canada.

First round of FPWA - Canada at the Saddledome in Calgary:
Bret 'The Hitman' Hart beat Dino Bravo via submission from the Sharpshooter at 25:58. The match rating was 92%. Bret tried to take Bravo out with the Sharpshooter on several occasions and Bravo had some close calls with submissions on Bret, but he was too close to the ropes. In the end, Bret was fortunate to come away with the victory.
The Mongolian Stomper defeated El Generico at 18:34 with a Cobra Clutch with a grapevine. Stomper controlled the match, but wouldn't make any pins and Generico started to make a comeback before he was put to bed by the Stomper's submission.
'Flyin' Brian Pillman beat Pat Patterson with a sleeper hold at 21:58. Patterson made it very competitive while Pillman hit all of his moves including Air Pillman. But in the end, it was the sleeper that put Patterson away.
Davey Boy Smith, Jr. beat Rick Martel at 23:58 with a Bulldog Bomb. Martel could never get the Boston Crab on Smith and Smith hit him with everything before finally getting him with the Bulldog Bomb despite referee Joey Marella being out of position.
'The Crippler' Chris Benoit beat Carl Pierre Ouellet using the Crippler Crossface at 26:36. The match earned a 88% rating.
In an upset, Rene Dupree defeated Y2J Chris Jericho with a Ground Headlock at 30:13 with a 99% match rating. Jericho could never put away Dupree and eventually Dupree got Jericho into a ground headlock hole for the victory.
'The Hands of Stone' Ronnie Garvin defeated Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine with a CRITICAL! from a KO Punch at 19:44. The match got a 87% rating. This was pretty back and forth between the two, although the moveset and CPU Logic on whomever created Valentine was poor. I will have to change Benoit's, Jericho's and Garvin's when this is over with.
Valentine will be out of action for awhile due to being CRITICAL'd!
Jos Leduc beat 'The Rocket' Owen Hart with a CRITICAL using the Bear Hug at 13:42. Owen juiced and so did the referee. Owen had the advantage until he juiced and too many Bear Hugs led to Owen getting CRITICAL'd. The match got a 77% rating.
The 2nd round will feature:
Bret 'The Hitman' Hart vs. The Mongolian Stomper
'Flyin' Brian Pillman vs. Davey Boy Smith, Jr.
'The Crippler' Chris Benoit vs. Rene Dupree
'The Hands of Stone' Ronnie Garvin vs. Jos Leduc

In the 2nd round of FPWA - Canada:
The Mongolian Stomper in an upset over Bret Hart as Bret juiced and the Stomper got Bret to submit with a hanging neck choke at 14:44. Match rating was 87%.
Davey Boy Smith, Jr. defeated 'Flyin' Brian Pillman at 8:03 with a Bulldog Bomb. Smith's size and strength was too much for Pillman and Smith won fairly easily.
'The Crippler' Chris Benoit defeated Rene Dupree at 14:32 with the Crippler Crossface. The match received an 82% rating.
Jos Leduc beat 'Hands of Stone' Ronnie Garvin with a Bear Hug at 11:53. Match was pretty much just punches and headbutts and got a 84% rating.
Now we are down to:
The Mongolian Stomper vs. Davey Boy Smith, Jr.
Jos Leduc vs. 'The Crippler' Chris Benoit

Davey Boy Smith, Jr. over The Mongolian Stomper with a Bulldog Bomb at 19:05. Match got a 91% rating. Smith hit The Stomper with what seemed like a dozen or so delayed vertical suplexes, but Stomper made it a competitive match.
In a bit of an upset, Jos Leduc beat 'The Crippler' Chris Benoit at 7:34 with the Bear Hug. The match only received a 68% rating.
And in the finals to decide the Canadian Heavyweight Champion...
Davey Boy Smith, Jr. defeated Jos Leduc with the Bulldog Bomb at 8:06 to win the Title. Smith juiced in this match, but started to hit big move after big move to put Leduc away before he was spent from losing all that blood. The match got an 84% match rating.

Edge/Christian vs. Michael Elgin/Earthquake
Doug Furnas/Phil LaFon vs. Brian Pillman/Johnny Smith
The Thrillseekers (Jericho/L. Storm) vs. The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers

First round of the Tag Team Tourney for FPWA - Canada:
Edge & Christian beat Elgin & Earthquake when Christian applied a Cobra Twist on Earthquake at 30:49. I thought this match may go for 50+ minutes. Edge hit Quake with multiple spears and Quake hit his sitdown finisher, but to no avail. Match received an 89% match rating.
Furnas & LaFon defeated Johnny Smith & 'Flyin' Brian Pillman at 19:41 when LaFon pinned Pillman with a Tiger Driver. Pillman juiced. The match was very submission oriented until Furnas and LaFon started to pick things up. Match received only a 71% rating.
The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers defeated the Thrillseekers (Jericho and Storm) after Jacques CRITICAL'd Lance Storm with a piledriver at 48:30. This match went on forever and Storm wasn't tagging out and Jacques hit what seemed like the millionth piledriver on Storm before CRITICAL'ing! him. The matche received a 95% rating.
The Hart Foundation defeated Kevin Owens/El Generico at 15:46 when Owens tapped out to Bret's Sharpshooter. The match received a 74% rating.
The second round of the tag tourney will feature the following matches:
Edge & Christian vs. Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon
The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers vs. The Hart Foundation

Edge & Christian defeated Furnas & LaFon at 24:18 when Edge made LaFon submit to a Torture Half Crab. I really thought Furnas & LaFon was going to win this match, but Edge and Christian were the better team. The match received a 92% rating.
The Hart Foundation pinned The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers at 16:08 when Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart used a Press Powerlam on Jacques Rougeau for the victory. The Hart Foundation controlled the match. The match received a 71% rating.
That makes the finals between Edge & Christian versus The Hart Foundation.
