That is such a cool move / taunt! And a great gimmick for a wrestler as well. :D

Do you have yours? I've got mime. Absolutely one of my favorite Move Craft ideas ever and incredible execution! 👏 Awesome mime edit as well!! Did you make/download that saucy beret via Parts Craft? When she's ready, I'll be subscribing to that edit so hard that I'll break my mouse.

Am I proud of myself for this? No. Is it a pun? Yes. Why are you even here? Reasons.

It's been a couple months since I posted in this thread and I honestly don't remember all of what I've made in that time, but I'm here now to share a few of the things I did. Futari Maguro, a grungy mechanic who loves to eat fish and has a strange association with the criminal underbelly of Neo Tokyo. She exists because I wanted to make an edit that uses both the Overdrive and the Inverted Overdrive. Hinako Tora, another tiger-masked student of Miyumi Shimatsu, entrusted with carrying on her legacy and sharing it with future generations. She was designed with simplicity in mind and her flashiest move is the Tiger Driver. Nena Takabe, Yuu Amisaki's haughty, disdainful, selfish cousin. She's a seamstress and prolific fashionista who will absolutely make her opponents aware that they're lesser than she is. Her signature moves include the Cross-Stitch (Cross-Armed Camel Clutch preceded by a Cross-Armed Neckbreaker) and the Seam Stress (Romero Special preceded by a Spinning Unprettier). "New Burning Legend" Shiori Kakimura, an edit inspired by Jun Akiyama's new stable in DDT dubbed "BURNING!!" by Kenta Kobashi, himself. The edit is going to be part of a stable inspired by AJPW's Four Pillars (Misawa, Kawada, Taue, Kobashi, and, by extension, Akiyama). She joins the "Emerald Stargazer" Midori Sutakora as the second member of the group. She's kind of a hybrid of Kenta Kobashi and Super Dragon. "Space Mexico's #1 Newscaster" Kaye Fabian, is, well, a newscaster. She's designed to be a satirical parody of dirtsheet reports and she utilizes a mess of flips and other played out popular tropes, like the Superkick.

Wow, love all of these!!
Futari Maguro and Shiori Kakimura have my attention specifically.
Futari's grungy mechanic character is a great idea and is executed so well with that attire. It's almost a little steampunk too but more modern grungy gearhead. If she ever needs to make a little extra money working on cars in NY (the land of potholes), she has an open invite to OG-Joshi 😁
And Shiori - damn, she's got some burning spirit!! Love the design there and the Kobashi motif. "Emerald Stargazer" is such a great faction name too.
Hinako Tora has a great minimalist Tiger design that really stands out. It's rare to see Tiger mask style edits that aren't filled with all colors of the feline rainbow and so I really like this very striking color design.
Nena Takabe looks like she's gonna stab me with needles without any expression on her face if I go in for tailoring. Love the "Cross Stitch" move name.

Futari is actually based on the Triads gang and the mechanic NPC you work for early on GTA3 - I forget his name now, Joey maybe? "Emerald Stargazer" is Midori Sutakora's nickname; This is her: Hinako Tora is basically "What if I took Tiger Mask and made him a young lion, but still wore a tiger mask?" Hinako means "Sunshine" and Tora means "Tiger", so "Sunshine Tiger" with the little sun motif on her shorts. As for Nena, Senator has some spike moves... Don't give me ideas.

Something tells me I'd enjoy the heck out of simming Midori vs. Shiori!!
Unsolicited crazy idea but it would be pretty funny to occasionally equip Futari with hte "big fire" move for big matches and call it the "Grease Fire" 🔥
I really like the idea of giving a young lion the tiger mask. And the sun on the tights looks really cool and goes with the naming theme so well. You put so much thought into your character's names and how it reflects on their characters and attires and I really love that 🏆

Started working on Mizuki's Running Ranhei Takedown a few days ago, but got the groundwork somewhere decent. I have a lot of work to do on it still. It's meant to be this move. She's done it a lot cleaner before, but this was the easiest one for me to find. I'm doing it largely off memory since the bulk of the move is essentially the Ranhei anyways.

Wow, that looks REALLY good! Very smooth and a natural transition!
I can appreciate how difficult it is too. I worked on a C2C running oosotogari buster for Geese for about 3 months last year. It was really hard for me to smoothly connect the last running frame with the first contact/grab frame. It's something I still struggle with for standing attack, running attack, and C2C grapple moves. Very often, they opponent ends up "warping" a few frames forward or back on the initial grab frame. Also, it's hard to find that natural transition between the opponent's "slumping" posture at the start of the C2C move and the positioning that their body needs to be in during the first frame of the grab. I think you got the hardest part done - that initial transition between the running and the grab. I think it also looks good to have the "hooking" part of the move be a little bit longer and then the "snap" after be a little quicker.
I really love this and am totally using to it when available!! 👏

The move itself looks better as a counter and usually is, as most of Mizuki's offense is counter attacks that open the opponent for greater damage - IE: A Cazadora rollover followed by a second rope Foot Stomp. The move works/looks better against a larger opponent. Pomu Harajuku, in the previous gif, is much smaller than Miyu Yamashita, in the following gif: It's a minor variation of Kofi Kingston's SOS/Osotogari Bomb: I took out a bulk of the inital windup frames before the flip. I have to adjust the rest of the frames so that the momentum isn't immediately lost. I may mess around with the Spear animation to see if I can come up with something better, but I'll likely keep it closer to the Ranhei than what Mizuki does.

The spear's running loop might be good to use, too, since they're sort of hunched during it. Could maybe try splicing a frame or two each from the spear and rolling koppo kick at the start and then the ranhei when they're pretty much upside down, or something like that

One, more STO-y and the other more grab-the-leg-and-flip.

With these C2C grapple moves, I often play around with transferring some of the early "grapple initiator" frames of the move from the "attacker" library to the earlier library where the "A" flag is. Then I'll delete those corresponding frames from the defensive library so it matches up. It allows for a quicker transition right into the move and can bypass some of that initial awkwardness of the defender just kind of standing in the hunched "waiting" position then quickly having to morph into the position of actually taking the move. This type of thing is SO much trial and error though between the visuals of the frames, the positioning of the initial "contact", and the timing of it all. Still, I really love making C2C moves 😄
It's a cool idea to have two different versions of the move too 😎

Something's been up with my computer lately and I've been trying to troubleshoot those issues.
I'm not terribly consistent with updating this thread, but that's where I'm at at the moment.
