Stealthy edit, but we all know what was there... While Warrior Pro has no official comment on the released statement and its original contents, we can confirm there has been a shakeup in the PR department and a disgruntled web writer was recently let go...

BREAKING NEWS: Vic Baron ArrestedLast night, Vic Baron was arrested on charges of aggravated assault when he attacked Machine Gun Mayhem at an autograph signing session. The incident occurred when Vic, who after finishing a presser returned to his signing both to find Machine Gun, wearing a Baron Wrestling School t-shirt, signing Vic Baron photographs for fans with Vic Baron’s own name. Reports have it that Baron became furious and attacked Machine Gun, who didn’t fight back but yelled over and over again, “YOU’RE NOT REAL!” Thankfully no fans were hurt, and Machine Gun traveled to the police station later that night to not only drop the charges but post Baron’s bail (rumors that he also brought flowers could not be confirmed). Warrior Pro Wrestling has yet to release a statement on the matter, though sources say this incident is unlikely to effect the upcoming match at Badlands. Those same sources indicate Vic, who was already scheduled to make an appearance at Warrior Grounds tomorrow celebrating his March Madness Tournament win, is expected to address the incident directly.
Other Rumors making their way around the world of pro wrestling: Midas Mathews linked to Luhca POWER?The head of Golden Touch Promotions was in attendance at the Lucha POWER Supershow earlier this month, which set off a swirl of rumors that he could be the mystery investor in the promotion. Midas has hardly kept it a secret his penchant for wanting to acquire and consolidate wrestling promotions in the area, and Mexico is an area The Office has yet to officially stake a claim in. Calls to Midas’ office were not returned… Wonderland in San JoseWonderland, owner of the famed Wonderland Dojo, is expected to be in attendance for Warrior Grounds #10 tomorrow. Wondy has been rumored to have taken an invested interest in Jack Gold, even brokering the pairing of him and Stan Classic. While Wondy and Warrior Pro owner Tank McDaniel are said to be on good terms, Training Grounds head trainer Austin Baron is rumored to be bristling with the idea that talent is going outside to train. This is probably something to keep an eye on… Rampage welcomes i.W.e. to Warrior GroundsRampage Hunter called into a local radio station earlier this morning to address comments made by Dirk van Oranje at a local i.W.e. house show:

Warrior Grounds #10 is in the books, and our card for Badlands is now much clearer, with number one contenders established for both the Heavyweight and Tag Team belts. As always, scroll below for all the matches, promos and angles… Before the first match all three members of the Jackson Hole Gang walk down to the ring, sporting their Warrior Pro Championship belts…(all three men raise their titles in the air, do a group hug and then head to the back)The camera cuts to Dirk van Oranje as he takes his front row seat…Rampage Hunter vs “Young Gun” Byron Worthy Recap: Maybe it was Dirk’s presence that distracted Rampage, maybe it was the after effects of losing his title, or maybe it’s just that Byron Worthy is a scary prospect. But whatever the reason, Rampage did not look himself- and the young rookie took advantage, controlling the match and never really letting Rampage get rolling. Time after time Rampage tried to set Worthy up for his finishes and each time “Prime Time” was able to get away. In the end it was Rampage getting caught for the shocking upset. Winner: Byron Worthy Match: ****After the match, as Worthy celebrates on his way out of the ring, Rampage slowly gets up and makes eye contact with Dirk in the crowd, who is having himself a very hearty laugh. Rampage calls out Dirk and invites him into the ring. Dirk slowly gets up and smiling, jumps the barricade and gets into the ring. Both men go nose to nose and start jawing, when Rampage turns to grab a microphone. (Just as Rampage turns away toward the crowd, Dirk throws a punch that staggers Rampage, then follows up with a nasty kick that floors the big man, again starts chuckling to himself, then turns and walks out of the building) #1 Contender Match: Gold Standard vs Reed BrothersRecap: With rumors swirling that Wonderland was in the building to watch the Gold Standard, his team did not disappoint. Despite a very impressive showing from the Reeds, the Wondy Dojo proved to be too much for the young high flyers. A lot of back and forth in this one ended with Jack Gold hitting the 24 Karat senton from the top rope to claim victory and a shot at the title.
Winner: Gold Standard Match: *** Vic Baron makes his way to the ring, and grabs a mic…#1 Contender Match: Yoshi Tayaki vs Lefty McDaniel (No DQ)Recap: Maybe the most brutal match in the history of Warrior Pro Wrestling. Lanky Lefty was busted up early, but fought back- throwing everything he could at the hardcore expert. Its just that none of it was enough, and but the end the Warrior Pro vet was soaked in his own blood, and a frog splash from Yoshi Tayaki put him away for good.
Winner: Yoshi Tayaki Match: *****
After the match, Yoshi gets on the mic and screams at the fans in Japanese, before throwing the mic and leaving the ring. No one was made available to the press after the show…

Inside Pioneer Hall’s press conference room, at the front sits Tank McDaniel, flanked by Doc Wyatt and Brick on once side, and Yoshi Tayaki and his interpreter on the other side. Reporters are gathered around, as Tank begins to address the room.Tank: Thank you everyone for joining. We have a really exciting card for next week. I do have a couple announcements. First, marketing for the card till now has been for the wrong date. Badlands will be held on Thursday April 4th at 5:30pm PST. I have spoken to Roger Craig, our head of PR regarding this as well as the “shirt” “shit” incidents. He has assured me that we will not see issues in the future. On top of both our Heavyweight and Tag Team titles being on the line, Vic Baron and Machine Gun Mayhem will have a no DQ cage match. I’ve also added a match that will put two rookies: Markus Winter, who had a successful run in the Star of the Jar tournament, will face Byron Worthy- who just defeated Rampage Hunter in shocking fashion last week at Warrior Grounds. The winner will secure a spot in the G2 tournament. Confirmed matches for Badlands: Markus Winter vs Byron Worthy (for a spot in the G2 Tournament) Warrior Pro Tag Championship: Jackson Hole Gang vs Gold Standard “The Technician” Vic Baron vs Machine Gun Mayhem (no DQ cage match) Warrior Pro Championship: Doc Wyatt vs Yoshi TayakiTank: We are also working hard to finalize a match between iWe Intercontinental Champion Dirk van Oranje and Rampage Hunter, though so far we cannot agree to terms. Reporter: May I ask what the hold up is to make that match? Tank: Frankly, the response from Dirk has been “No- Rampage sucks.” We will continue to see what we can do, I know Rampage is very keen on having that match. To the point that he’s texted me twice during this press conference (chuckles). Reporter: Doc, how does it feel to have that belt back? Are you ready for the unorthodox style that Yoshi Tayaki employees in his matches? Doc: First off, I feel vindicated to have this title back. Rampage and Tank stole if from me. (eye roll from Tank). You got something to say old man? You stole this from me. I had to go down to fucking Mexico to get it back. But the belt is back where it belongs. With the best. And no, I’m not worried about that AAW reject. This isn’t a hardcore match, and I’m not some noodle armed sham. I’ll give it to him, pick a fight with the owners shitty nephew to get a title shot is genius. Well done. Reporter: Yoshi, Doc has had a lot of success both inside and outside Warrior Pro, what is your strategy? Yoshi: (as his interpreter turns for translation Yoshi puts a hand up and grabs the mic). Make Doc bleed. Doc: Wait what did he say? Yoshi: (gets up and turns to face Doc) Make. Doc. BLEEEEEEEED. (he then looks down at Tank, still sitting) Yoshi in G2 Tournament. Yoshi make Warrior Pro bleeed. (Yoshi turns and walks out of the room, leaving his translator alone next to Tank)Doc: What. This guy knows this isn’t a hardcore match right? Tank: I can’t say for sure. Well I guess this concl- Doc: You are so fucking terrible at your job. I got one more thing to say. COWBOY JOHNTSON. Where oh where are you hiding? Since when did your overrated carcass start avoiding challenges? Give me my title shot. Give me my title shot. Give me- (Brick leans over and whispers in Doc’s ear)Doc: Fuck Midas and his plans. I don’t work for him. I want Cowboy’s belt. Don’t make me go to Texas- chump. Pick a date to lose already. Reporter: Doc can you address the rumors that your father Virgil is the mystery investor in Lucha POWER? Doc: This press conference is over. (Doc and Brick exit the room, ending the press conference)

AWWWWWWWWWWW SHUCKY DUCKY. THE PLOT THICKENS IN THE VIC BARON SAGA.
WPW is firing in all cylinders and I'm loving it. I'm loving more community involvement. I'm loving the new logo treatment on the ring. I'm loving the little touches of belts and Dirk's involvement in the crowd. And the match quality is living up to the story and promo-writing quality, too, which makes this all the more better. Definitely gonna try my damnedest to make it for Badlands. :D

A set of conflicting messagesBy Kevin "The Internet" Anderson The Senatorial Office has engaged in a working relationship with Warrior Pro as of late, with talent from both organizations crossing over and promotional deals being hammered out. Both groups have been on excellent terms with both sides obviously benefiting. However, the turmoil in the Office between Senator Steve Phillips and Morgan "Midas" Matthews has now spilled over into Warrior Pro, as evidenced by these two public messages: --- A message from the desk of Morgan Matthews to Virgil Wyatt Please understand that your son's unbecoming demonstration of ambition is not in any way assisting his cause. There is a plan, and he will play an instrumental role in it. But this will only be the case, if he is able to exercise the proper degree of patience that I require from him. If he continues to push for the Johnston title match in the public, I will not support his endeavor. Please make this abundantly clear.
Morgan Matthews
--- Senator Steve Phillips's public message to Warrior Pro management Senator Steve Phillips: The mutual arrangement between Warrior Pro and my Senatorial Office has been well worthwhile. The more our organizations cooperate, the more we all benefit. It has come to my attention that in the near future, Warrior Pro will be hosting a prestigious tournament by the title of G2. As such, I wish to offer the services of one Salvador Sosa for the competition. Mr. Sosa is an exemplary athlete, a charismatic figure and is popular both inside the ring and outside, with his notable Rudo Army Podcast. I ask that you consider him for the G2, and I believe that his participation will be of great benefit to Warrior Pro, to the Office, to Mr. Sosa and to the great fans we both wish to satisfy.
Senator: It is also noted that Midas Matthews has heavily involved himself in the dealings of Warrior Pro. While he is free to do so, I wish to remind all relevant individuals that he does not speak for the Office as a whole, and should he attempt to void the entry of Mr. Sosa, that you should promptly ignore his unreasonable request. Thank you for your business and for your attention.
Steve Phillips, Senator (I-IL)

JOHNNY THROWBACK MAKES HIS PRESENCE KNOWN IN WARRIOR PRO
INT., A TAILOR. THE IMPOSING JOHNNY THROWBACK COMES INTO FRAME, TYING A PAISLEY-PATTERNED TIE AND ADJUSTING A BLAZER. A BEAT AS HE SMIRKS TO THE CAMERA THROUGH THE REFLECTION OF THE THREE-WAY MIRROR.
THROWBACK: Well, 'ere I am, Johnny Throwback. The old-timey wrestlin' gentleman with nowhere to wrestle.
Y'see, I signed with SHTCWA for a reason: I was lookin' to be the centerpiece of a great thing: a revitalization of propah, good wrestlin'. The European Wrestlin' Union. Then they had to faff about wiff their schedulin' or their constant need for "tweakin' to get things right." Buncha excuses. So here's Johnny Throwback, one o' the best—no, THE BEST catch-as-catch-can, THE BEST SUPLEXIN' WRESTLAH in the world not wrestlin'.
Here's Johnny Throwback, properly suited 'n boot, yeah? Lookin' proper posh, lookin' all ready to properly be an ambassador of professional wrestlin', lookin' all ready to lead SHTCWA to glory then they fuck off 'n cock it up. So I've gotta do somethin', yeah?
So I'm thinkin' "Well, if SHTCWA ain't gonna have me, let's bring some culture to America, yeah? Let's show the Americans what propah wrestlin's like. Let's go to filthy, disgustin' California—to the filthy, disgustin' Bay Area WHERE THERE'S LITERAL HUMAN FECES IN YER TUBE SYSTEM, n' let's show 'em somethin' right special. Let's class up this joint. Let's throw back to a simpler, a better time, yeah?
I'm classin' Warrior Pro, I'm classin' up America, I'm classin' up the whole damned world of professional wrestlin'. And it's startin' with the G2 Tournament. I'm takin' that spotlight whether anyone else likes it or not—and if ya don't I'll drop ya on yer head.
