A video was posted on WPW.com last night. Standing in the middle of the ring inside the empty Pioneer Hall, Jack Gold and Stan Classic are seen chatting with each other, when a voice calls out from somewhere in the audience area... (Voice): Hello boys! Gold: Who is that? Classic: Ohhh Shit! (Wonderland emerges from the shadows to appear at ringside, a big smile on his face. He jumps up to the apron and gets into the ring)Wondy: (big long sniff) MmmMMmmM, smells like Warrior Pro. But I imagined it would look... bigger, for some reason. Classic: You usually do (Wondy flashes a smile at Stan)Gold: I heard you were in the stands for our last match, pretty PERFECT right? Wondy: (patting Jack Gold on the back in pun-approval) Verrry good. But yes, you two going for tag team GOLD (pausing to wink at both men) next week against those Finger In the Hole Gang goobers would be a major win not only for the two of you, but the Wonderland Dojo as a whole. And as a hole. A finger-free hole ba'gawd! Classic: Gonna stick around and see the match? Wondy: (in his best Macho Man impression) OoOoOoooOoo yyEeAaAaHh Classic: You gonna put some pants on? Wondy: Never.

THE POWER OF PERSUASION *The scene is a dark, dingy, smoke-filled boxing gym. Dirk van Oranje stands before a gently swaying punching bag, battering it with a flurry of feet. Nearby, his manager Horst van Ginkel sits on a folding chair with a pouch of Drum shag tobacco, hand-rolling a cigarette, which he completes in seconds with amazing ease. He’s already got a burning one dangling from his lips. There’s an orange spot on the right side of his thick paintbrush mustache just above that stogey, and this stain stands as a testament to his fondness for rollies. In his lap sits a cellphone that seems to be receiving a flurry of text messages, and he quietly keeps a close eye on it. Horst tucks the first cigarette behind his ear, at the spot where his strange mullet-like haircut transitions from bangs straight across his forehead to a long unruly mane in the back. As he starts rolling a second cigarette, he speaks in Dirk’s general direction.* HORST: So you’re really going to refuse Rampage Hunter’s challenge? I had a call this morning from some Warrior Pro representatives, and they assured me that the compensation would be quite generous. I think you should reconsider. Besides, you’ve been telling people that you’re looking for a greater challenge. *Dirk stops striking the bag and turns to Horst.* DIRK: And that’s precisely why I have no interest in fighting this buffoon Rampage Hunter. What challenge would there be for me in that? *Dirk resumes pummeling the punching bag.* HORST: I guess it would be pretty… embarrassing if you were to lose to Rampage now, after all the trash you’ve talked. *Dirk stops abruptly again, kicking the bag one final time with such force that the earsplitting snap of his boot striking the leather echos through the empty gym for several seconds. He turns back to Horst, suddenly seething.* DIRK: Pardon? Did I hear that correctly? Did you just say 'if' I were to lose to Rampage? ‘IF’?!*Horst takes a long, thoughtful draw from his cigarette and nods. Dirk turns and hits the punching bag with a spinning crescent kick so powerful that it threatens to bring the ceiling down onto them.* DIRK: There is a precisely zero-percent chance that I would ever lose to a nutteloos smeerlap like Rampage Hunter. None whatsoever. And you know this! *Horst blows out an enormous cloud of smoke. Through it, he shrugs at Dirk with a wry smile ever so subtly touching his lips. Dirk wacks the punching bag with a mighty uraken* DIRK: So you’re saying you think he can beat me. ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TRYING TO TELL ME THAT YOU THINK THIS STOMME KLOOTZAK RAMPAGE HUNTER CAN BEAT ME? *Horst silently hits the cigarette again. Dirk bicycle kicks the punching bag so hard one of the chains holding it up snaps, and it sags to the side at an awkward angle.* DIRK: WELL I’LL SHOW YOU, YOU GODVERDOMDE LUL. KRIJG DE TERING. I AM GOING TO FIGHT RAMPAGE HUNTER AND I AM GOING TO KICK HIM STRAIGHT IN HIS LELIJK KOP AND WIN THE MATCH HANDILY, YOU WALGELIJK VIEZERIK. HORST: With your i.W.e. Intercontinental title on the line? DIRK: WITH THE I.W.E. INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AAN DE LIJN! HORST: You might as well get in on this G2 Tournament that Warrior Pro’s hosting too, while you’re at it. DIRK: YEAH SURE WHATEVER JUST GET IT BOOKED, HORST, YOU STINKENDE PAARDEREET. *Dirk storms out of the room to hit the showers and Horst sits back in his chair, smiling broadly. He takes the nub of a cigarette burning the ends of his mustache and flicks it away, then pulls the other cigarette out from behind his ear and lights it, taking a long satisfied drag. Then Horst picks his cellphone up from his lap and pounds out a text message. TOLD YOU I COULD BRING HIM AROUND. GO AHEAD AND BOOK THE MATCH.*

Warrior Pro Wrestling Presents: BADLANDS Thursday April 4th @5:30pm PST
One of the biggest cards in the History of Warrior Pro Wresting kicks off in just a few short days, and there are major implications for every match. Three championships are on the line, including for the first time ever, a belt outside of Warrior Pro will be defended on a Warrior Pro show. Also on tap, two young guns fight for a spot in the G2 tournament, and a bitter grudge match gets decided inside a steel cage… All of this can be seen LIVE on Twitch THIS Thursday at 5:30pm PST.
Card Preview: Markus Winter vs Byron Worthy (for a spot in the G2 Tournament)Markus Winter was a final 4 participant in the Star of the Jar tournament. Byron Worthy just knocked off a former World Champion. Both could cement themselves as “The Next Big Thing” if they can secure a spot in the Golden Gate tournament and give a good showing. Expect these two rookies to hold nothing back. i.W.e. Intercontinental Championship: Rampage Hunter vs Dirk van OranjeRampage has had a bad month. After losing his title in Mexico he came back to the States and was shocked by a hungry rookie trying to make a name for himself. On top of that, he was mocked openly by an outsider. That outsider? He happens to be the i.W.e. Intercontinental Champion- a distinction that he has held for over 250 days. Will Dirk notch another victim on hi belt? Or will i.W.e. have a new champion from a rival company? This match very well could steal the show... Warrior Pro Tag Championship: Jackson Hole Gang vs Gold Standard (w/Wonderland)Brick and Roy Carter grant their first title defense to a relatively new team to Warrior Pro. Jack Gold, after a training stint in the Wonderland Dojo, re-appeared with Stan Classic to form what has proven to be a very impressive tag team. And to add some… er… flavor to the match, Wonderland himself has decided to manage the team for their match, which is sure to irritate Austin Baron- who has not been keen on a rival wrestling school training the talent. “The Technician” Vic Baron vs Machine Gun Mayhem (no DQ cage match)This match… has layers. Machine Gun has taken an exceptional interest in Vic Baron over the last few months, with public messages, bizarre videos, and even an alleged kidnapping. The fact that Vic actually beat MGM has only intensified that obsession, and may have finally broken Vic when he was arrested a few weeks back for assaulting Machine Gun in public. This one promises to be bloody and vicious, and could very well be career impacting for both men. Warrior Pro Championship: Doc Wyatt vs Yoshi TayakiDoc Wyatt is the most decorated wrestler in Warrior Pro Wrestling, but he may not be prepared for who he is about to face. Yoshi Tayaki has been a monster since joining Warrior Pro, tearing through everyone that he has faced in brutal fashion. While this match is under standard rules, Tayaki has promised to make Doc bleed. Will we see a new champion? Or will “The Gentleman” of Warrior Pro continue to cement his legacy?

Badlands proved to be a brutal show with high stakes and a collection of matches that went all out. The show featured some newer members of the roster, and they took advantage of the opportunity. The top of the card was littered with drama. Sp much so that it spilled into the post show press proceedings- which could have larger ramifications down the line… Scroll down for all the matches, recaps and promos from a wild night of action… Preshow (for a spot in the 49th Parallel Tournament) Austin Baron vs Maverick ReedRecap: With a spot in one of the most prestigious tournaments in all of wrestling on the line, both Maverick and Austin put on a show. Neither held anything back, exchanging finishers and kickouts. In the end, it was a second Crash Landing (Tower Hacker Bomb) that did in the wily veteran.
Winner: Maverick Reed Match: **** Markus Winter vs Danny Angelo (for a spot in the G2 Tournament)Recap: Both rookies were looking to make a name for themselves, and both went a long way towards doing just that. Worthy seemed to control the match early, but never seemed to be able to do enough damage to finish Winter. And the self labeled Viking took advantage of any opening he could squeeze out hitting a Winter is Coming early, sinking in the Lion Tamer, and finally getting the pinfall with a Northern Lights Bomb.
Winner: Markus Winter Match: **** iWe Intercontinental Championship: Rampage Hunter vs Dirk van OranjeRecap: What started as a simple outsider heckling a match turned into a bitter feud, one that produced arguably the match of the night. Rampage controlled early, and it looked like his raw strength would prevent the Dutchman from finding his striking range. But as the match wore on those vicious knees and kicks from the Dirk added up, and eventually Rampage couldnt come back from the repeated shots.
Winner: And still champion Dirk van Oranje Match: ****
Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Jackson Hole Gang vs Gold StandardRecap: The story surrounding this fight was the presence of Wonderland, and the disruption it seemed to be having within the Warrior Pro locker room. This did not play out during the match, where Wondy stayed in his corner, coaching but never interfering. The result also was without controversy- despite a valiant effort from the challengers, the champs were never in trouble and eventually a vicious buckle bomb from Brick to Jack Gold was enough for the champs to retain.
Winner: And still champion, Jackson Hole Gang Match: *** “The Technician” Vic Baron vs Machine Gun Mayhem (no DQ cage match)Recap: A feud that has been building for months was finally paid off in the ring. Machine Gun was busted open early and Vic Baron was soon to follow. This match was brutal and bloody, with the mat covered in blood once this one was over. Both men continuously traded and reversed submissions, determined to make the other quit or pass out. In the end, it was Baron repeatedly dropping Machine Gun on his head, then bridging a suplex for the pin fall. A match of the year candidate right here.
Winner: Vic Baron Match: *****
After the match both men were taken out of the ring in stretchers and taken immediately to the hospital... Warrior Pro Championship: Doc Wyatt vs Yoshi TayakiRecap: Yoshi promised to make Doc bleed, and bleed he did- almost immediately. The AAW veteran treated this match like a deathmatch, brawling outside and reaching for weapons. It seemed like this one might go the way of his match with Lanky Lefty, but the ever cagey Wyatt reversed an irish whip into a spinebuster- then followed up with a devastating Superman Punch that Tayaki never saw for the successful title defense.
Winner: And STILL champion Doc Wyatt Match: *** After the show, status was given around Vic Baron and Machine Gun Mayhem...Warrior Pro officials announced that Vic Baron received 14 stitches in his forehead, but did not endure any serious injuries. Machine Gun mysteriously never made it to the hospital and his whereabouts are currently unknown... Doc Wyatt and the rest of the Jackson Hole Gang were surrounded by a group of reporters as they celebrated with their championship belts. Doc is bandaged up from his match, and decides to speak on a number of topics, including one that’s been a bit of a delicate subject….Doc: This company is OURS. We’ve been saying it since day one. They can throw ANYONE at us- it doesnt matter. We are the pinnacle of this business. The cream of the crop. So write this down, all of you. I don’t give a shit what Midas Mathews wants. I don’t give a shit what deals my father has brokered. There is one leader in this group. You’re looking at him. We ain’t a gang anymore, we’re Outlaws. I WANT COWBOY JOHNSTON. That big ass hick has been dodging me. He’s been hiding from me. I’ve been the champion of this promotion for the better part of a year. GIVE ME COWBOY JOHNSTON. I’ll fight him here. I’ll fight him in Texas. I’ll fight him on the motherfucking moon. The way I see it, that title he’s hiding from me? Its mine. I’m done letting him borrow it. And another thing-
Roy: Doc, look over there…
A huge commotion breaks out across the hall. As reporters shit to that side of the room we see owner Tank McDaniel and Austin Baron in a heated argument…
Austin: This is a load of bullcrap Tank and ya know it. Aint no reason to have that JV School leader Wonderdumb in here. He ain’t teaching these kids anything I aint teachin them and better. Get his sorry ass out of the building, and stop givin them fucking title shots
Tank: Relax Austin, for gods sake they didnt even win. What’s the big deal?
Austin: I swear ya tell me to relax one more time and I’ll shove ma foot up yer ass.
Jack Gold: (walks by the argument with Stan Classic) You hear that Stan? Sounds like a broke down excuse for a trainer…
Austin turns and clocks Gold in the jaw, sending him flying. A brawl breaks out between Stan and Austin with Tank in the middle. Wrestlers come over and help break it up, but the press is quickly taken out of the room...

Words from the final entrant in the G2 Tournament: "The last two weeks have been... hell on earth. Forced out of the company I built with my own two hands, stabbed in the back by the person I trained and trusted... heh. But I should've seen it coming all along. It should've been obvious from the start. Mercy held her loyalty to the company... but never to me."
Kevin Royce steps into view of the camera, and while he still appears in somewhat rough shape after the brutal match that saw him in a three-on-one, he certainly doesn't look like he's ready to call it quits.
"Right now, though... Evergreen is in the back of my mind. A while back I heard about this G2 tournament Warrior Pro was gonna hold... and before all this shit went down, I let 'em know I wanted in. Fact is... I'm still taking part. And I'll show Warrior Pro, and everyone else, that I'm far from finished... and when this is all said and done, maybe I'll stand at the top... or maybe I'll come back home to take back what's mine. Either way... you'd better be ready for a hardcore legend to join the fray. Because by the time this all starts... I'll be 100% again. And nobody, NOBODY, is going to have it easy."

Lucha POWER Especial Numero UNO
The show opens with the crowd directed toward the big screen, where we see backstage El Macho talking to someone on a cell phone as Doctor Dorado walks up….Dorado: Hola hefe. We need to talk, you and me eh? Macho: Si, si. (into the phone) Sal, I will have to call you back. Si amigo, manana. Excellente. (hangs up the phone) Ok Senior Dorado, what can I do for you. Dorado: What is going on with those putos in La Guerra eh? You told me I would get another crack at that fat ass El Desconcrappo too. Him and I still have unfinished business eh? Macho: Si! Si si. In due time. For now, you have a match to get into the Golden Gate Tournament in Warrior Pro. Keep you mind on that amigo. Los Zapatos de Maderas can wait. For now, I have something more pressing we must discuss, come into my office. (both men walk into the office and close the door behind them...)Viper Lopez vs La Luciernaga vs Angelus DeiRecap: Two visting lucha’s from La Guerra faced off against resident lucha Viper Lopez. This match was fast paced and high flying from the get go. Eventually the action spilled outside, and weapons came out- with everyone swinging wildly. When the action finally got back into the ring all three women were dripping blood, and a flash arm bar from La Luciernaga was enough for the submission victory…
Winner: La Luciernaga Rating: *** Lobo Muerte vs Doctor Dorado (Winner gets a spot in the G2 Tournament)Recap: This was a barn burner of a match and one of the best matches of the year. Both men went at it from the start, and left nothing on the table. It seemed like Dorado might have this when he hit his Michinoku Driver right in the middle of the ring, but a late kickout by Lobo, followed by a running senton into his Lone Wolf finisher proved too much for the wily veteran to overcome. Extremely impressive victory by the Lobo Muerte.
Winner: Lobo Muerte Rating: *****
After the match, as he was exiting the ring Doctor Dorado spied a ZDM sign and snatched it out of a fans hand and ripped it up on his way to the back. Between matches, Pantero Negro Jr- who was last seen in a losing effort to Hexagon Jr for the World Title, makes his way to the ring to address the fans…Pantero: “Last time you saw me, I was a broken man. Debil. But no more. My arm is healed. I am ready to take back MY belt. Lucha POWER es MIO. Your hear me Hexagon?? ES MIO. (Just then, from under the ring pops out a new, unfamiliar luchadore in a clown mask, holding a chair….}The luchadore brutally attacks Pantero with the chair, then takes a light tube from under the ring and gives the final blow, leaving Pantero in a puddle of his own blood. He then picks up the mic ???: HAHAHahahHAHaha. Welcome everyone, to THE NIGHTMARE. (the mystery man throws down the mic and leaves the ring...)Lucha POWER Championship: Hexagon Jr. vs Dungeon DominguezRecap: A brutal hard fought match. Hexagon threw everything he had at the big man, but it didnt seem to matter, Dungeon just kept getting back up. Even when Hexagon dropped Dungeon on his head on a barbed wire baseball bat, it was as if the big man felt no pain. Eventually Dungeon would hit a neck drop of his own, into a running lariat for the pin.
Winner: and NEW CHAMPION Dungeon Dominguez Rating: ****
After the match Dungeon continues to celebrate as trash is thrown in the ring as the show goes off the air...

BREAKING NEWS: Rampage Out of G2 Tournament News broke early this morning that Rampage Hunter has suffered a knee injury and will not be able to participate in this year's Golden Gate Tournament. A former world champion, Rampage tied with John Logan for the most wins in the inaugural tournament last year and was expected to be among the favorites again this year. The injury is rumored to be a torn MCL, and while he is expected to avoid surgery, the recovery time frame is still expected to be a few months. The Second Annual G2 tournament is expected to be a huge event this year, with a crowded field from both inside, and outside Warrior Pro Wrestling. An official announcement from the company around entrants as well as a schedule is expected not later than tomorrow.

DIRK VAN ORANJE OFFERS UP A THEORY ABOUT RAMPAGE'S INJURY "After wiping the mat with him at Badlands and declaring my intention to enter the G2 Tournament, Rampage Hunter has decided to fabricate a far-fetched reason to exclude himself from said tournament and avoid the possibility of another confrontation with yours truly altogether. How convenient that you've injured yourself, Rampage, and with what great timing! Frankly, I suspect it's his ego that's injured far more deeply than his MCL. If my career was in free-fall the way his is, I'd probably want to lay low for a few months as well. Here's hoping you get well soon, Rampage."

G2 Week One Preview
Tomorrow the 2nd Annual Golden Gate Tournament kicks off with Week One action. There are plenty of questions that this first week should help to answer. How will last years block winners- John Logan and Doc Wyatt- fair this year? Who will be the breakout star? How will outside talent like Salvador Sosa and Johnny Throwback adjust to their first time in Warrior Pro? How will the Jackson Hole Outlaws deal with competing against one another? Week One action kicks off with A Block on Thursday, and B Block on Friday. Check back for full results… Match Previews:BLOCK A: Thursday April 18thMarkus Winter vs John LoganThe rookie Winter earned a spot in this tournament by defeating fellow rookie Byron Worthy, and while the Star of the Jar semi-finalist has impressed in his recent matches, he’ll have a tall order in his first tournament match. John Logan went undefeated last year in the tournament, and will be looking for a bit of redemption following his last match- a failed bid at the Heavyweight Championship. Dirk van Oranje vs Kevin RoyceTwo outsiders face off as iWe Intercontinental Champion Dirk van Oranje faces off against recently exhiled Evergreen Wrestling owner Kevin Royce. Expect this to be hard hitting and aggressive as both men try and make an early name for themselves in the A Block. Salvador Sosa vs Roy CarterBoth men stand as dark horse candidates to make a run inside the block. Roy Carter made an improbable run last year in the B block, and this year isn’t expected to be any different. But do not sleep on the leader of the Rudo Army, who could easily get an early win here as a catapult to a run at the entire block BLOCK B: Friday April 19thLobo Muerte vs Doc WyattLobo Muerte earned his shot by defeating Doctor Dorado, andt the young lucha will need another impressive performance to overcome the Heavyweight Champion and last years Golden Gate winner. Doc is riding high after a successful title defense and returns to the tournament that kicked off his banner year atop the organization. Can he repeat as champion and win the ability to choose his next opponent? Or will the Lucha POWER representative shock the world and make his own play at gold? Vic Baron vs Johnny ThrowbackThese two have a history as training partners in European Wrestling Union. There is a mutual respect amongst both men, and a competitive one at that. This may very well come down to who drops who on their head the most- and could be the match of the round. Brick vs Yoshi TayakiThis will not be a technical showcase. Expect hard hits and power moves galore. Brick is going to be a tough out for everyone in B block, but if there is someone with the ability to chop down this tree, its most likely gonna be The Baytown Killer...
