Has there been any mention of the FPS reduction? I hope I'm not coming across as too "whiny" here, but a reduction from 60fps to 30fps with no notification is pretty shady and unacceptable. If I would have known it was going to be 30fps, I would have stuck with the PC version. I wouldn't mind if they would just say it's temporary. I think we should be making a bigger deal about this. I've read on here that this is a temporary situation, though I don't recall seeing official word about it.

There's a new patch, but I'm not sure if it fixes the framerate.

So my first question is should we download edits from steam or the FPW.net that's offered on the game? Or do both have the same edits from the same edit makers, like DJKM is the first that comes to mind. THank you in advance. The Steam workshop and PS4 FPWNet are not connected at all. You’ll have to subscribe/download on the appropriate system.

There's a new patch, but I'm not sure if it fixes the framerate. It doesn't unfortunately. I'm not sure what that is referencing, because the actual patch it says the game is running on is 1.02 when you go to the Information options on the main PS4 menu, but 1.06 on the main game menu, however that post says 1.05.

Are you playing the Japanese version of the game? The new patch isn't available for American users yet.

From Matsumoto (per google translate):
”We have further improved the reduction of the symptoms that had been frozen during the offline match. (the part that was seen a little flicker in the game). Sorry to bother you, but I think you can update. We are also working on online matches and other measures. Please wait a while. #ファイプロ #FirePro”

I understand why people are having issues with the framerate and whatever else. But I feel it's best for me at least to exercise patience when the game's only been out a day. It's by no means a broken game and there's tons of examples of games that have come out way worse on launch. I'm not happy with the long loading times but as long as gameplay runs fine which it has then I'm cool with it. And I did run an 8-man tag which had no issues so if it can handle something like that then I'll just play knowing they're aware of the issues they need to fix.

Net is for the PS4, and the workshop is for steam.

I'm sure there are tons of games released to retail these days as glorified extended betas, but, I don't really play many other games. Not upset about bumps in the road, fine by me. All I can do is relay my own experiences for those who may be interested.

Luckily it appears that it was either a bug or temporary.. I've read that this new patch out in Japan fixes the framerate.

Holy crap guys. I got FPW yesterday and I am so glad to have a new FirePro game. My first was world when they released it in NA. Not having to deal with the Action Replay Max is great!
I relaly love the two multiplayer modes now that I understand them and the fact that you can sim matches. Glad to be back in the Fire Pro game! I kinda freaked out when I found out that fireproclub was no more.
Currently watching my first tournament for a belt I made.

My first post. Just got into firepro because I have been waiting for one in the USA that has online and the day is finally here but I have been following the series for decades and always wanted to play.
I am running the game on a PS4 Pro and I have a Samsung 850 SSD Pro 2TB in the console. I don't know if the SSD makes a difference or if the PS4 Pro makes the difference or a combo of both together but my game is running well. I have the PC version also and both versions seem to be running the same to me. I prefer the PS4 version because I prefer to play on consoles.

All I can do is relay my own experiences for those who may be interested. I don't play many games either TBH, just the wrestling ones and whatever interests me on the Switch. And it's totally understandable for people to relay any issues because that's good for all of us to know. I just don't see the point in those who say it's a total failure or give 1 star reviews for something that's been out a day. Not singling anybody out but a little patience wouldn't hurt.
That said the game is ridiculously fun and it's crazy how accurate the New Japan guys look. Fighting Road has been a blast so far and I can't wait to get to where it's time to join a faction. I'm leaning towards LIJ though Suzuki Gun is pretty tempting as well.
EDIT: And as Madhat pointed out the latest patch is supposed to fix the framerate issues so as long as they're working on fixes then I can wait it out for at least a few days/a week.

Let's hope there's not much delay between JPN and the US patches.

Yes, let's not lose sight of one thing...This game is an absolute blast to play. Some of the matches I was having last night had me howling at the TV!
