Like Phil said on Twitter Spike is to be commended for thinking of the FPW community at this late stage. Hopefully that means that there's something new coming but that's just hopeful optimism on my part.

Just a heads up, the PS4 patch today was to stop the FPW Net from shutting down, but they are planning to do it sometime in the future (but probably with a few months notice when its final) old.reddit.com/r/firepro/comments/t162ke/no_definitive_date_but_fpw_net_may_be_shutting/When that happens, console will lose access to any kind of downloads, which really, really sucks. I have FPW on both, but I prefer playing on console. I'll have to make sure I get all the edits I want, and be fine with them never updating. It really, really sucks for PS4 users if FPW Net is shut down. I don't know why FPW Net would shut down so soon after the release of FPW, especially since the PS4 release was after the Steam one. Does Spike host FPW Net? What is the reason it was going to initially shut down? I don't get it. As weird as Fire Pro feels on Steam with its save system, it felt weirder when I played it a few times on PS4. Like it wasn't quite real or permanent. The FPW Net felt even less stable. I imagine that there isn't a similar threat to the PC version cause the Steam Workshop operates independently. I don't know if Spike has any say in FPW being continually supported or not on the Steam Workshop. I would recommend that all PS4 users consider switching to the PC version and gradually transfer their edits. I also highly doubt Spike is going to do anything more for FPW. And I think it will be years, if not decades, before the thought of another Fire Pro becomes remotely possible. Spike seemed to want to wash its hands of it as soon as possible. And the more passion the team showed, the more Spike wanted to distance itself due to the time and money that was needed for that passion. Someone needs to buy the game license from Spike and do the game the right way from the start and provide the constant support it deserves. FPW is by far the best Fire Pro game ever but it falls short in so many easily fixable ways and Spike falls short in continuing to support it.

I assume it's because Sony are a bunch of cocksuckers when it comes to hosting servers. It's rare for servers for games to last this long. The only reason WWE 2K19's servers are still up is because 2K20 was an unmitigated disaster of a release that they kept the servers for the previous entry running - No idea when they'll shut down after the release of 2K22, but that's going off on a tangent.
Steam Workshop will continue to function until Steam is brought down permanently and I don't see that happening anytime soon. It still hosts downloadable content from games like Half-Life and Garry's Mod.
At any rate, if you're worried about losing content, grab anything you want and don't get rid of it.

So, I guess sharing Parts Craft files with Fire Pro Net will be impossible soon enough. I imagine the Fire Pro Net workshop functions the same way; as you need to upload to the server to gain access to your files in-game.

I better get all the edits I can before they shut down. It should be up for at least 5 years if not 10. Also back up the save to the cloud with PSPlus.

If anyone ever wanted to know what pure, unadulterated stupidity was, look no further.
Exhibit A: Geese currently has 8100+ subscriptions.
Geese realizes that having this many subscriptions causes his game to crash at inopportune times. He was good over the Spring in deleting as many moves as he downloaded, but recently he stopped devoting time to maintaining that balance. As a result, over the past week he has suffered many crashes.
Tonight Geese had two crashes occur due to the aforementioned issues.
After the second crash, while he was working on an edit, Geese took the opportunity of being back in the Steam menu to look for more moves that he then downloaded for that edit.
Can you imagine what happened five minutes after he loaded the game up again?
🤦♂️
Looks like I get to pour myself some wine, put on some soft jazz, and spend 3 hours romantically deleting moves.
On the plus side, I got some of my FPW mojo back after a much needed hiatus 🔥 On the minus side, I'm an idiot 😅

I'm an idiot 2. Electric Goosealoo 🦆
I thought that my subscriptions weren't working.
I exited out of FPW and checked the Steam Workshop. Everything seemed fine. I reloaded the game and subscriptions seemed to be loading normally. But when I turned the game on, I couldn't find them.
Then I realized that my method of checking was trying to load the wrestlers in edit mode.
🤦♂️🤦♂️
Once I looked for them in the regular wrestler select mode for a match, I found them all.
They may have been laughing at me. I may have deserved it.
Seriously, don't get less than 6 hours of sleep as a habit. It really brains up your mess 🤪

Bad news for Geese, it looks like Fuee is back at it making new moves.

I wish there was a select all for edit parts and moves on the website. Some edits have over 50 parts.

Not sure what you mean by script... there is a steam browser extension that will do it for the PC (there is also some automation if you use mods). Don't think there is anything for the PS4 unfortunately.
