So I haven’t played a good game of footy since PES13 on my ancient laptop. I’ve browsed the forums and there’s talk of official, unofficial patches... data updates (10 years of workk and editing). Any tips for a first timer who wouldn’t at all mind playing an improved version of the game with the 01/02 roster, in terms of what to download? as you mention PES, it's important to note that CM 01/02 is a management game, you don't play any match yourself like in a FIFA or PES game. Thanks very much for the detailed reply - honestly, it’s been years since I’ve enjoyed football game so I‘d be glad to give this one a try - maybe get my way to managing Liverpool to the European Final! Appreciate the response

I'm finally getting a PS4 this weekend, in preparation for Red Dead 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. The only game I have in mind to get now is Horizon Zero Dawn, or maybe God of War, or Star Wars Battlefront. Based on these interests, any recommendations of what I might wanna get instead or as well? Zero Dawn if you've never played a God of War, as they're basically the same play-style of game.

May have to bust out No Man's Sky finally. Upcoming update adds third person mode and multiplayer, finally. That looks sick. I might actually jump back in with this update. You have to give Hello Games credit for sticking with this game and restoring faith in their reputation. NMS is undoubtedly Sean Murray's passion project.

Bloodstained Curse of the Moon (SWITCH) fucking amazing game, old school 16-bit Castlevania type game, going through for about my 4th run through (you unlock new modes and there are something like 6 endings)
If you like old school platformers then I can't speak highly enough of this.

Yakuza Zero / Yakuza Kiwami are on the greatest hits list for $20, they're pretty awesome. Bloodbourne is also a greatest hits game if you like Souls games or just awesome, challenging games in general. Enjoy!

Dead Cells. I have a scary amount of time in this game. A run only take 30-60 minutes so it's easy to get caught up in since every run is different.
Fallout: New Vegas. Never played it before but I got it during the Steam sale for $3. It still has the issue all Bethesda games have where you get flooded in quests that make it feel like work but the characters and over the top gore during combat is a bunch of fun.

Fire Pro World has dominated the last year for me.
But I do races in iRacing from time to time.
I also play Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age every once in a while.

Me too! This game is basically Castlevania 3, but not as ball-shreddingly hard. I always loved that game as a kid, but I could never get very far into it. (I have it on Virtual Console as well, and I still can't.) Curse of the Moon is basically everything I liked about that game (minus "officially" being an actual Castlevania game) but it's way more accessible.
I haven't beaten my first run through it yet; I just unlocked not-Alucard and I think I've gotten one more level past that. I think I'm near the end, but it's been well worth my 9.99. This is also just a teaser for the main Bloodstained game, which I'm now really pumped for.

I’ve been meaning to get onto new vegas after playing on my PS3 years ago - definitely with mods and patches to fix bugs and improve it overall.

I'm not a PC gamer, so I've been watching from afar for a while, but it's almost ready to drop on consoles! Railing on about Forza Horizon 3 again, been chipping away at the Hot Wheels DLC. The orange tracks are a lot of fun, the Bone Shaker and the TWIN MILL are a blast to drive, I'm loving the whole experience. I'm at the point where there are just a bunch of random races to finish, the game proper is complete, so that's kind of a bummer. The nice thing about FH3 is the weekly FORZATHON challenges, they keep you coming back and give you the chance to win new, exclusive cars by meeting certain in game criteria, a fun way to keep the game a bit fresh. I'm already looking forward to FH4 set in the UK, should be a monster!
