Nth, Yup, Fist of the Northstar is on sale, as is Judgement, all by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the fine people who brought us Yakuza! I have a desire to FINALLY play one of the Fist of the North Star games! Also, I found out that there's an HD port of the first Katamari on both Steam and PSN! Steam has a sale on it so I grabbed that. I'd love an HD port of "We Love Katamari" too as I actually preferred that to the original. But I'm very happy to experience this again. Untitled Goose Game came out on Steam this week too!! After months of waiting to play it, I finally got to do so last night and it was glorious. I punked out a farmer and locked him out of his own garden after stealing his keys. All because he questioned my ownership of the vegetables in his garden. I love hitting him with the sprinkler too. The puzzles of the game are more challenging then I thought they would be but it's immensely fun to just screw around with the people and cause hijinks 🦆

Did another of my usual VPW2 Freem Edition sim battle royales. They're a nice distraction during the last hour of a shift when I'm mainly just waiting for customers.
I saw The Rock do a full proper People's Elbow, with the little hop-over and everything. It's nice to see that the AI still knows to do that even without the WWF license.
It was funny, too. While he was running back and forth, the other two people in the ring hit his target with a few of their own moves. Poor Eddie.
Oh, and one side effect of finally getting into VPW2 after so long with No Mercy is getting to see the faces I've been using for my original CAWs on the people they were designed for in the first place. I'm just like, "huh, so Adrian looks like Masakatsu Funaki."

Saw Kawada kick someone off the side of the entrance ramp to finish today's battle royale. Good way to end it.

Amusing spot of the day. Somebody was down and there were two people with signature submissions in the ring. Problem is, one guy's move is a face-up hold and the other's is face-down. They kept taking turns flipping their would-be victim over like a burger and neither one got to use his hold.

I pulled the trigger and picked up THPS1+2, if you’re waffling like I was, stop. This game is great, and not just from a nostalgia standpoint, this game could hold its own now without its pedigree. It’s odd how it feels so smooth and like a new title but manages to keep the SPIRIT of the originals. It’s hard to explain, you just need to try it. I CRUSHED the hangar, it’s been a very long time since I’ve played, but I was able to meet all of the objectives very quickly! It’s crazy how much you remember even after such a long layover! Meeting the high scores can be a pain, but as was mentioned here in a previous post, you get better, I’m already building up my average scores about every other play through, so that’s been cool. I also realized that I never did finish all of THPS 1, I played it after loving 2 so much, so I must have got distracted and forgot to finish it, so it has been a treat to discover all of these great courses!
This game has been a JOY to play. Between this and Mario Odyssey, I’m being reminded why I grew to love games, escape, great music, great controls, clever design, total immersion! Both games are great for quick play sessions, but you’ll definitely find yourself “just one more run”ing yourself into an all nighter! What a treat, and they didn’t even gouge and sell it for full new game price. THPS 1+2 is a winner. 🙂

Space Crew and CloudPunk have finally released. Just got home from work so I am anxious to try them out. Also picked up Red Wings as a spur of the moment purchase and another interesting game I had never even heard of until it released yesterday: This is Zodiac Speaking, a suspense crime drama in which you play a fictional survivor of the Zodiac Killer and attempt to discover his identity by investigating the real crime scenes.
Also still chugging away at Deep Rock Galactic with all my Dwarves now having earned their second promotions. Looking forward to the big end of year content update so I want to have my guys buffed out on gear and weapon perks. Also been playing a little Wargroove and Tiny Metal again as I've been getting a bit of a strategy itch recently.

Haven't had a VPW2 post in a while.
One of the quirks of the Dome ramp is that someone's entrance can be cut short if he bumps into someone else standing there on the way. If they should start fighting on the ramp, it's entirely possible for the new entrant to be eliminated without ever stepping through the ropes, which is kinda funny to see in action.

Yep, VPW2 Freem Edition again. Another of my usual battle royales.
No matter what game, though, it's funny when the AI treats the characters in ways you wouldn't see them in real life.
I saw Hogan get turfed as soon as he entered thanks to an errant punch from Mike Awesome. Dean Malenko made Goldberg tap to the cloverleaf.
Andre was submitting people left and right with the wishbone but then, would you want someone that large trying to split your groin?

Currently also playing Star Trek: Bridge Crew. It allows for Cross platform gaming, so I've been interacting with PS4 and Oculus users.
I'm having fun.

Wifey got me a Lego Marvel pack, 3 games on one disc. We've been having fun playing together. She's really not a gamer and I tried to get her into Fire Pro, but she enjoys Lego games.

I watched one of my usual VPW2 Freem Edition battle royales as a mood lightener.
(Disclaimer: Yes, I always finish my work before running these. They're only to help me pass downtime.)
I've slowly been getting my characters ported and have enough of them ready so that four CAWs can start the match instead of randomly chosen defaults. Today was the best showing I've had from two of them.
Usually I'll only have one left by the ten minute mark if they even last that long, but today there were two that made it. One fell at 11:45, just shy of the previous 12-minute record, and the other lasted nearly 17 minutes.
Since this one ended at 40 minutes (a speed record in itself), that was almost half the match.
Appropriately, it was two of my mains, Adrian Munoz and Jeremy Moore. Cheered me up to see that.

Recently finished Last of Us 2 which I throughly enjoyed. Finished Farcry 5 sequel New Dawn? I forget the subtitle. It was pretty good. I’ve been slogging my way through Trails of Cold Steel 4 (takes me months to play through any Trails game. )
Started Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It’s pretty good but I’m not quite getting all the hype. It’s incredibly linear. Move here, long scene, move there, long scene, battle, repeat.
Also finally started Jedi Fallen Order, not very far yet. I kinda hate when the just mo cap an actor right into a game, I think they should alter them at least a little. Playing as the kid from Shameless beaks my immersion.
Just got RE3 for under 20 bucks. I loved the Remake of RE2 but don’t have the same nostalgia for the 3rd.

I've actually been holding off on playing any of the big mainstream games now. I figure when I get a PS5 I will start playing them again with better fidelity and framerates in a few months time. I re-bought digital versions of a lot of games I already own just because they were super cheap and I'm planning ahead for the PS5. Glad I held off on Cyberpunk for the moment. I'll still definitely pick it up on PS5, but it will probably be a ways down the road or just wait for a Gold Edition like they did with Witcher 3. The Shadowrun games on PC are still filling that cyberpunk itch moreso than Cyberpunk would be for me at the moment anyway.
So I've been picking away at a ton of little indie games on the PS4. Darkest Dungeon still completely owns me. I've talked about how I love this game quite a bit in the past, but it still holds up. I can have a campaign completely wiped out after a dozen hours of play and start over fresh and still be just as into it. I'm also enjoying the Darkest Dungeon clones Deep Sky Derelicts and Warsaw as well, but neither are as good as their inspiration.
Got some Space Crew going. Another really addictive indy, the sequel to Bomber Crew. Another game you can get destroyed in and immediately jump back into. Over the last three months through all of PSN's numerous sales I've picked up a ton of indy games of all variety to try out. I'll be going on vacation for a month in another month and a half and will get to sample most of them then. Also long overdue for updating my Fire Pro rosters and content to current settings, especially with all the new moves out.
On the PC front, my old system is still chugging along. I still have to set it down in front of the space heater to thaw out after really cold nights in order to get it going again and it's showing its age in running some more modern games. I am still managing to log a nice chunk of time into Deep Rock Galactic. It helps that every week their are weekly assignments to offer a nice chunk of change for your dwarves and blank matrix cores to forge new materials. I also like joining in to games of new players to help them out since all four of my dwarf classes are triple promoted now. Also the next content update for the game is going to be adding underwater caves to the biomes and I am kind've excited to see that.
