Hi, just wondering if anyone here is a Housemarque Games fan? I loved Resogun and Nex Machina and am bummed that the latter will be the end of the arcade style shooter road for the group as they’re great games, and nice pallet cleansers/quick game fix between the usual giant, story driven stuff I play. Just wondering if anyone here could recommend Dead Nation, Alienation, or Super Stardust Ultra? Those three go on sale quite often, so I thought I’d pick one or all up if you fine C!C folks could recommend one or all of these titles. Thanks in advance! I've played a lot of Super Stardust HD, and I believe Ultra is a port of that. So, I can recommend it; very fun arcade shooter.

Thanks for replying view619, I remember trying “Super” on the ps3 at a friend’s place and enjoying it, so I will keep my eyes open for a sale! I remember comparing it to Geometry Wars and thinking it is a great alternative! Thanks again! 🙂

You know what's hilarious about old 90s side-scrolling beat em ups? When they give one of the guys a piledriver, but there's no sprite for landing straight onto your head, so they end up using the "doubled-over" sprite just flipped upside down. I think everyone is doubled over all the time in those games cause they keep eating meat found on sidewalks 😁 That type of stomach pain means you can't even get your body into position to properly sell a piledriver.

Code Vein and The Surge 2 have arrived. Still in the mail is Control. I finally caved and bought that as well now that I hear some patching has fixed some of the performance issues it was having on launch. It gave me a huge Secure Contain Protect vibe if anyone is familiar with the SCP. The similarity with that alone sold me on the game.

Since MS took over Ninja Theory Hellblade: Senua’s sacrifice rarely goes on sale, but MS is having a publisher sale and hellblade is discounted. Has anyone here played/tried the game? It looks cool and I like ninja theory’s stuff (dmc, enslaved, etc), just thought I’d check with C!C first! Thanks!
Also fighting the urge to pick up Skyrim for $20 CAN from sony’s sale, I might need an intervention. 😳

Yes Bakfu. I have played and own Hellblade Senua' Story. I can can attest it's an excellent game if not a bit short for my liking.

Also fighting the urge to pick up Skyrim for $20 CAN from sony’s sale, I might need an intervention. 😳 Those who have seen my tendency to get completely immersed and lost in open world games have warned me against ever dabbling in Skyrim. They are wise and I've taken their advice. Best to beware: I'd rather have the prevention before the problem rather than the intervention during it 😁

Finally got around to playing Overland. I can tell this is going to be one of those really addictive games. Procedurally generated characters in a procedurally generated post apocalypse world try and survive. It has elements of strategy from isometric games but also a little bit of Oregon Trail in travelling across the country making decisions to find fuel for your car, supplies or other survivors. High level of tension and one of those games where you know you're going to die but you just keep going to see how far you get.

The video looked really cool! The game has a clear vibe of tension and safety (where the open road seems to float in between) which I like and seems to structure its combat accordingly. This part definitely got me interested! Let's just use that to launch into a discussion of morality in a post-apocalyptic world. I'm not saying I'd ever advocate the following strategy in our current pre-apocalyptic 100% okay hugs'n'bunnies world but ... Is it unethical to hurl flaming bags of dysentery at radioactive monsters of the type shown in that video? Asking for a friend.
*OrochiGeese lived of dysentery* *OrochiGeese lost four days due to oxen protest.* *OrochiGeese used Chipotle-Away.*

Just discovered the recently released Warsaw, another Darkest Dungeon clone set in WWII as Polish resistance fighters against the Nazi occupation. I love these type of games and I still frequently play Darkest Dungeon and Deep Sky Derelicts. Now a third one to get into.

Just got back into FPW :). I got sucked into the modding abyss that is Skyrim. Spent more time modding it than actually playing it for over a year. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I picked up a nasty virus which resulted in me having to wipe my hard drive and starting over. But it gave me a reason to quit Skyrim lol.
The only games I have reinstalled are FPW and No Man's Sky so far. I may get back into modding FPW but right now I am just enjoying the game as is and trying to rebuild my efed.
No Man's Sky as gotten a lot better since last time I played it. I enjoyed it at launch even though it had problems but it is an amazing game now.

I went through a phase a while back where I was having fun making dumb joke costumes for people in WWF No Mercy. Thought y'all might enjoy some of them.
