Oh yeah that is the thing I need on switch especially is lock on. And yeah in Japan they released an MMO. I like the pawn system a lot and the lore it adds to the world is great. I would like online multiplayer if I people to regularly play with but I don't which is part of why I love the pawn system. Also it's a crime that original title screen song is not on the dark arisen version of the game. I actually have the English and Japanese version of Into Free on my mp3 player. I've loaded up the YouTube video of the song at work to get myself motivated and played it when I booted up the switch version the first time. I have seen so many people set videos to that song since the switch release. I saw an edit of the Sonic trailer to it and it made that movie look good. I also remember somebody made a NBA 2k menu screen edit of it that was also good.

Downloading a third 15gig patch for Days Gone so still haven't got to play that. Also still downloading the day one Rage 2 patch. So I've still been slogging through Sekiro.
I'm not using any guides so it's been brutal. I finally beat the second Corrupted Monk after about 30 tries so I must be at least 3/4 through by now. I still have so much trouble with the Headless.
I think I've only killed one the entire game and now I've found two more together underwater. I'm eventually going to have to hunt them all down as I assume they give you prayer beads. Also the ninjitsu possession skill is one of the most helpful things ever.

I'm about 80% of my way through Yakuza 6.
I really love the Yakuza series and Yakuza 4 is still my favourite due to the amount of playable characters and locations. Yakuza 6 has plenty of great quality of life improvements but so many characters are missing that it feels very thin on the story front as it dragged itself quite slowly through what story it does have only to then suddenly pick up at an alarming rate. I do like some of the new mini games like the spear fishing, baseball management and clan creator and being able to seemingly enter buildings more freely makes the world feel very much alive.
I'm curious about how the story all comes together though and what the resolution is.

Anyone here played Mordhau yet? I've been playing it alot lately and having a blast! :) It's a multiplayer medieval first person & third person game, that resembles Mount and Blade. :)

New DLC for Deep Sky Derelicts just came out today if anyone also plays that.
Also just picked up Void Bastards on steam, a cross between FTL, Borderlands and Deep Sky Derelicts all combined into one game.

What a brutal journey it's been. I'm finally at the last boss of Sekiro. l I’m such a quitter, haven’t played since the big samurai guy in the camp at the very beginning of the game (not even a boss...) . Congrats! 🙂

I found once I learned parrying over regular blocking, it completely changed the tone of the game. Rather than chipping through an enemy's life bar, breaking their posture with parrying is far more effective because it opens them up to a death blow regardless of their health status.

Has anyone else ever heard of this game? store.steampowered.com/app/846110/The_friends_of_Ringo_Ishikawa/It looks like a River City Ransom clone but with more RPG elements for a "life of a student." The main criticisms I've heard from Steam reviews is that there are no directions/instructions given as to how to play or what to do. But the fighting looks really good for a side scroller, even held to the high RCR standard. This looks interesting. I like that it looks more like Renegade than RCR, as much as I love that game, pugilistic arts and tobacco smoking with high schoolers is much more entertaining in higher resolution. I will definitely look further into this one, but will have to wait for a PS4 release. Thanks for mentioning it here! 🙂 Now we just need a super dodgeball game like this! So I actually tried this out a few nights ago and had a lot of fun with it. It does actually feel a lot like RCR with the fighting and the towns where you can buy stuff from the shops. But it has a "life simulator" aspect to it in regards to having Ringo increase his grades if you want or just go out there and fight people. It also acts on a clock so the day ends by like 10 PM no matter what you are doing. The storyline is interesting as well since it's much less RCR/Double Dragon and more "slice of life" anime about a bunch of high school kids trying to figure out what they want to do if/when they graduate. The fighting starts out very basic, and that's where it has stayed with me, but satisfying. You get a few punch/kick combos and one judo throw. One thing I learned early is not to go at even 2 people alone. And that's one thing I also like about the game. You can recruit your friends to go places with you and either fight or go to restaurants. So your build up your stats and their stats and they have your back.

Finally started Days Gone. Really liking it so far. Open world survival, character building, crafting and the constant tension of being attacked anywhere at any time. Also that the dynamic night and day cycles combined with weather transitions directly affect the behavior of the freakers is pretty interesting as well, and I haven't even seen the snow or mutated animals yet.
Still getting used to driving my junky bottom tier motorcycle that has no upgrades yet, but I do like how important it is to you when you're out and about in a world where everything is actively trying to kill you. If you lose it you have to actually go back and try and retrieve it because you don't get another one.
Sneaking around the forests of Oregon is always fun and the fact you can actually use freakers as a weapon against human factions is pretty entertaining as well. I actually feel like Darryl from The Walking Dead when I'm going around stealth killing and using my crossbow through enemy encampments or freaker infestation zones. Weapon degradation is a thing as well which can make things pretty tense when you're swinging your axe and it finally breaks in half so you end up finishing off a freaker by driving it's broken handle into their neck. Then you're out of ammo and all you have left are your fists and knife. Fortunately the world is filled with nooks and crannies you can run and hide in, because even taking on a handful of freakers without any weapons is potentially a game over, so when there are hundreds of them you gotta hope you can get enough distance between them and you to get back to where you hid your motorcycle, and even then if they are close enough they will throw themselves at you to try and knock you off it. Definitely keeping me coming back for more.

That sounds really cool! 😎
Are the freakers zombies or something similar? I like that there are hiding places. Are you completely safe there or just out of sight? I'd like more games that have a few "safe places" (and not just like towns or save points) in the open world where most of the area is unsafe and fair game to be attacked.
How does the fighting feel?
