When this stuff comes out, when you guys take a look around the code, see how it was made and disclose and then someone decides to create a new campaign i'm definitely joining the writing team because JESUS CHRIST the dialogues in Fighting Road are stupid, really stupid.
It's even worse because they bothered to give you dialogue options and IN EVERY ONE OF EM your character ends up talking like a shonen anime protagonist, with all the "im going to be the very best like no ever was, cause i'm filled with determination" vibe. He even does the "nervous laugh" thing that you only see in japanese fiction. It's weird, specially if you're roleplaying as some neckbeard badass motherfucker or some "take no prisoners" dude like Stone Cold. Couldn't they be a little more creative with the dialogues out there? I have my doubts that Miinoru Suzuki is as nice as the game portrayed him.
You can only be the "shonen hero with a hot blood" the "friendly neutral, boring guy" or the "cool rival" type character. Yeesh
The mode is still cool though, giving you a reason to actually go out and play the game instead of simming, i just wish they had a "vanilla" campaign focused on SWA for the people who won't be buying the dlc in pc but want single player modes.

Speaking for myself, I have zero interest in looking into or reverse engineering the Fighting Road code. It's just a glorified series of matches, which anyone can imitate with a spreadsheet and some imagination. I'm already running through a dynamic campaign with my roster, an official mode is unnecessary; there's a thread in the guides subforum that provides a more interesting system than Fighting Road, and it's free.
I'll probably play through it using my mods to override the defaults/rings/difficulty, otherwise I won't put anymore effort into it.
Good opportunity for someone else to get into modding in order to investigate it, though.

Means what it means, really.
People do want different things in a game, specially a game like this one, I'd like more single player campaigns and more creation tools, while others want a more in depth promoter mode, or more match modes. The devs are being weird and focusing on stuff that they shouldn't so we won't get much of what we want unless we do it ourselves, so there's that too.
Right now all i want is to have the stuff ps4 players already got, once i get this i swear to god i'll stop complaining.

I know its petty but I cant help but feel bitter about this 1) because the PC community have held the fort all through EA, & 2) because I sold my PS4 Pro earlier this year *sulk* If we had an ETA I could sulk less, but knowing Spike.. |

It's not petty, we got a carrot that was dangling in front us pulled away in the last second because of incompetence and now're all going through varying degrees bitterness. Add that to lack of communication and not being able to buy the game (giving the feeling they might pull the season pass out of the store if it suits them) and all we get is low morale and the feeling we're not important anymore.
I'm guessing that 28th of this month is the limit, they're probably waiting to release the dlc along with the european release of the game. We will be hearing from it soon anyway because the month is almost ending, we're already on the middle of the week and next week is this month's last.

This whole process has kinda soured the game for me. I just want the game to end, the mod team get developer tools and move forward.
Of all the hopes and dreams I had, they've faded, and now I just want them to deliver what they said they would and move on.

Worse, i'm 27 years old, ive been gaming since 'im 5, and i've NEVER went through something like this before, i always thought that when a game has a release date, the game is supposed to be delivered that date, doesn't matter how - iv'e went through stuff like games coming up so broken they needed to be patched or pulled of the store, but never missing a day and pushing the release back. I never thought this kind of stuff was possible - Which is why i call them incompetent in handling all of this.
I mean you wait six days before the release to announce that you guys couldn't port the game to ps4 fast enough? What the heck? This experience didn't ruin the game for me, but did ruin the impressions and respect i had for Spike.
That's what i'm hoping for as well.

Yeah I feel like i'm in a state of limbo with the game at the moment, I want to start an eFed just for my own personal amusement really, but I know that will be thrown into disarray when the new content drops & i'll have to re-do a whole lot of edits, moves etc. Development delays can really take the wind out your enthusiasm, especially when despite its arcade-like exterior this game is not just a pickup and play title, theres hundreds of hours of time & creative effort involved. While i'm at work i'm constantly thinking about what I can do with it, no other game does that for me. |

I told a friend yesterday that right now, the PC community of Fire Pro has been held hostage by Spike and the ransom is the upcoming update. Theres actually people who put their e-feds in hiatus while they wait for it because they don't wanna redo all the work once the patch hits the shore, and there's people who're not even playing the game anymore, not to mention the whole modsuite compatibility stuff they managed to create by delaying the release.
ofc saying we are being held hostage is just a hyperbole, but sure feels like that, i just want to give the Hirooki Goto taunt to my ninja type characters, is this too much to ask?
