I obviously can't see the future, but if you're expecting your DLC purchase to fund the game further, I think you may be fooling yourself. They'll deliver the 3 more DLC options (at least on the PS4) because they have a legal obligation to do so since they sold the season passes. Once that obligation is cleared up, I think there's more enough evidence that Spike will pull the team from the project. It has been a flop financially, and with the game getting mixed reviews, it's probably not reasonable to expect much more than what they've already announced (or teased, as is the case with the final DLC). I'm actually just giving myself a reason to support the project other than a simple ethical standpoint of giving currency in exchange for merchandise (which i actually believe in) regardless of the asking price, mostly because excluding that i don't have much left on the table for them, mostly because they've been yanking our chains since they announced this season pass and didn't deliver in due date.
Specially because they used to treat us nicely before the PS4 version came along, now the game's been more than five months without a update, if they're going to pull the team once the season is over or not, that we don't know. They might not, and in this case at least theyll have funding to keep the project.
But then again, thats just me being nice to them and giving them the benefit of the doubt( Even thought they don't deserve it), i do realize that they will eventually pull the plug and we will be left to our own devices, i'm just trying to be positive about this.
Man i miss those Early access days with patches every week...

I just wish we could get some piece of the content, like the handful of non-NJ-specific new moves, to tide us over for a little bit.

*Bearhugs IAmAres*
I just want the moves and parts myself. Could care less about the rest.

That's the point though. I have a German edit who does all the German Suplexes.
Being able to German Suplex forever is a high selling point for me.

Being able to German Suplex forever is a high selling point for me. A year or so ago I had planned to do an "ECHO" edit specializing in german suplexes. I was going to call it the "Belly-to-Back Borough" strategy. It's adjacent to Suplex City. The Endless German Suplex is the key to those fine twin cities.

Honestly between custom moves and custom edit parts, I dunno if we even need official support anymore. If the dev tools are made available after official support is over I imagine that would make custom moves even better?

I feel like the best way for custom moves to get better are people getting familiar with the editor. I've been watching the Discord and it's really interesting to see people post drafts of their moves, which will go from pretty rough to really great after a few tries. I very much agree with you on the fact that we don't really need official support. Most of what mods can't do are Carl holding back to not release stuff that Spike may officially release. I'm also really happy to see other people learning how to mod the game and coming up with their own, really valuable tools for the game. This game is going to last a long, long time as long as people don't chase Carl and other modders off.

But what about the poorly written, overpriced visual novel story mode. Surely, we can't live without that.
