This is a great point. The shake-up gave Smackdown Joe and Miz, two of Raw's top heels. Raw did get Owens, Zayn & Mahal, but Zayn is injured and Mahal seems to have been knocked back down to the midcard. Then you've got Brock but he may as well not even be on the roster at this point. We desperately need a Lashley heel turn. He's at his best when he works heel anyway. Losing Miz and Joe hurt Raw a lot, but don't sleep on the loss of Sheamus and Cesaro. I know some people complain that they (well, mostly Cesaro) could have been used better but they were arguably the biggest utility players on Raw for at least the last year before they were traded. Always featured, always having something to do, generally getting a lot of time for their matches, they did a lot to keep the show moving and holding it together even if they weren't generally put in a main event slot. Now they basically do nothing on SD. So basically... Raw has too few heels and much less useful ones. If we ignore the low card here is the heel roster. - Baron Corbin
- Dolph Ziggler
- Drew McIntyre
- Elias
- Jinder Mahal
- Kevin Owens
I think some guy named Brock also theoretically exists. That's it for a 3 hour weekly show. Mojo seems to be getting the beginnings of a push as a heel (I like that BTW, he's rough but he has good intensity as a bad guy; I'm fine with giving him a shot) and Jordan and Sami will both return at some point but it's gonna be hard to put together a decent show with a roster that unbalanced. They either need to trade talent with SD or turn a few people as soon as they can.
Sorry for writing so much about this, this just happens to be my big current pet peeve with WWE.

Mojo is showing a lot of promise in this new heel role, and for that I gotta give him props. However, that being said I'd be lying if I said I ever enjoyed his actual wrestling. I think he's gonna have to become a bit better in ring to really grab people's attentions. He'll get over well enough to be a midcard baddy though.

Can we even consider Kevin Owens a heel? In wwe’s reality clean cut kid friendly era you have a 7ft wrecking ball monster harassing and bullying a much smaller guy for a month, and the bullied heel is scared and as punishment for running away, gets locked inside a steel cage with said monster - how is Owens not face, and how is Braun not heel at this point after that storyline... wwe booking is just so so so bad

Man, I totally forgot about Sheamus and Cesaro. They've just disappeared from Smackdown. The loss of The Bar also really affected Raw's tag team scene. On the heel side, you've only got Authors of Pain (I'm assuming they'll end the B-Team's undefeated streak) and The Revival, who haven't been the same since their string of unfortunate injuries on the main roster. Ziggler and McIntyre appear to be just singles guys now, and The Ascension are so irrelevant that I'm not sure if they're heels or faces.

You can blame Australia for that. Channel 7 is one of the free-to-air channels here. They also spoiled the match on the AFL website (Australian Football League) I believe.

Stephanie just announced that in October we're getting Evolution, the first ever all-women PPV. Confirmed for the show: Women from Raw, SD, NXT and NXT UK, the finals of the second Mae Young Classic, and legends like Trish and Lita.

^ I'll consider the PPV a failure if this isn't the official song. In unrelated news, WWE has finally decided to give us the Universal Championship match everyone's been clamoring for. At Summerslam, Brock will defend his title against... THE BIG DOG™ Roman Reigns

I think the idea of the Evolution PPV is good, and the girls certainly deserve a moment in the lime light. I also think including the Mae Young Classic finals, and the NXT Womens Championship is going to go a long way to making the show a potential must see ... but I think having all the roster stand around in backstage segments talking about how great it is, and Braun taking time out of his in ring promo to talk about it might end up backfiring on them. It was especially awkward with Braun, whom you can't really picture going "Let me take a minute out of my busy schedule of attempting to murder this Canadian to tell you all about womens wrestling." I think those segments would have come off better if it was one of the girls directly interacting with one of the guys, and said guy giving them props for the accomplishment.
There's already a pretty vocal section of the wrestling audience that still thinks of the girls as little more than tits and ass, not to mention those being somewhat resistant to what they view as needless diversity and SJW-pandering. I worry that they're going to annoy the audience into dismissing the show before the girls have a chance to really show us what they can do.

I'm hoping the absurd hard sell of the ppv will be limited to just tonight and maybe a few weeks beforehand.
I also find it hard to congratulate WWE for this when it is more or less a make good for the Greatest Balls of Fire deal.
Putting it during October so it goes along with all the Komen stuff will be... trying.

I also find it hard to congratulate WWE for this when it is more or less a make good for the Greatest Balls of Fire deal. Putting it during October so it goes along with all the Komen stuff will be... trying. For what it's worth (lol, I know) Triple H did basically say it had nothing to do with that. He basically said "Ask yourself if the Greatest Royal Rumble never happened, would you argue the girls don't deserve this honor?" Probably just clever PR spin, but the girls have certainly earned it. Or at least a good chunk of them have. That being said, I'm pretty sure the claim it's the first all-womens PPV event is false as didn't TNA do one a while back? I mean it was one of their "One Night Only" shows, so maybe it wasn't actual on literal PPV. But then again, this is reportedly just a WWE Network special also.
