General Current-Day WWE Thread

WWE trying for a Japanese nxt or whatever is a foolish idea to me. I understand that for a chunk of their audience left, Japanese wrestling is popular. I can't really see them moving into Japan as a good move at all.

I wonder why WWE hasn't moved into places like Mexico with the same force as they did UK/Europe. My guess would be racism, but they have been chasing Spanish speaking/Latin-American audiences since the Rey/Eddie heydays. Then again seeing what NXT UK has done to the UK and some of the European scene, I would be wary.

So apparently Gronk has signed a deal with the WWE. Anyone surprised? Anyone care?

They have probably the deepest roster in history - a ton of talented workers who can’t get on the card. Why do they need a American football player with a history of injury

That's gonna be surreal. Empty arena Smackdown was weird enough.

I bet the two-night thing is how they're limiting the number of on-site personnel.

I won't be surprised if they skip the battle royales they've been doing the last few years either.

That one is an oldie, but a goodie. I can understand the use of more professional terms and downplaying first-person pronouns and carny lingo. This is a global business after all.

Interesting is the only word that confuses me. I guess they mean when it pertains to a showdown at one of the bigger shows and they want to use more elaborative adjectives. That or they like 'unique' instead.
