We have our contenders... plus one? Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1456420510Youtube: youtu.be/0tO5xtAtY5UQuick Results Lexi Dawson def. Sung Moon Riley Montgomery def. Helena Lundgren The Foundation def. Todd Colton and Natasha Clover Cassandra Marshall def. Nana Yoon Vanessa Saunders def. Maya Minh Sai Mason Hayes and Allison Avery def. The Rising Storm Laura Tate def. Lance Marshall Nathan Haines def. Johnny Rocket Dominic Stanton def. Hikari Ueno and Carmen Latour Bonus: Urani Whitemist def. Ryan Donovan Speculation: With Urani's appearance, and absolute cratering of Spirit of Texas Champion, Ryan Donovan, could the Titan perhaps be thinking of throwing her name into the mix for that title? Or was this just a one-off deal? Either way, there's no way Ryan takes this lying down... his first singles loss in over a year, at the hands of one of Phoenix Rising's biggest and toughest, a former World Champion no less... what will be the champion's reaction, and when can we expect him to take action?

Another open challenge match for Proving Ground's Top Prospect this week. Proving Ground Episode 96 Ziggy Rockefeller vs. Nick MacLeod
The Yoshida Twins vs. White Hot
Mercedes Ortega vs. La Corsaria
Colt Whitfield vs. Arthur Wright
The Tachibanas vs. Adrenaline Rush
Rafael Gallego vs. Golden Tiger
Leona Sterling vs. Reina del Tigre, #1 Contender's Match for the Inspire Championship
Speed Dating vs. Aria Kintelas and Christina Wagner, #1 Contender's Match for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships
Ricky Scott vs. Sanya Markov for the Top Prospect Championship None other than Ricky Scott, the former Stanford Bradley Jr. himself, is stepping up to take on Sanya Markov this week... now seemingly having cut from Stanford, can one of the most impressive athletes in the Collective be the one to knock off the seemingly-unstoppable Russian champion? Notable elsewhere: a proper return to action for White Hot, and the return of Colt Whitfield to the ring after a fairly long lay-off, as it would appear his training has concluded and he's ready to show his improvement against Arthur Wright. Don't miss this one...

Likely, this match will happen at Proving Ground #97, while Speed Dating's championship match against the Excellent Blades will happen at Proving Ground #98. As for Sanya's open challenge series... we'll see who steps up to be the next challenger for the Top Prospect, but as of right now, nobody is lined up for #97.

Back to the big one, this week we find out who's next in line to challenge Candace Monroe... and perhaps also the continued meteoric rise of Kojiro Burai as Pacific Northwest Champion. Showdown Episode 96 Mascara Avispa vs. Hugo Dirksen
Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas vs. Revon Beauregard and Michelle Rochefort
Titania vs. Laenara Kintelas
Eri Sentarl vs. Selisha
The Limbtakers vs. Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk
Haruka Matsura vs. Mallory Spaulding
Chichi vs. Fenix Oscuro
Sophia Moretti vs. Blake Dynamite vs. Angel Leblanc, #1 Contender's Match for the World Championship
La Relampaga vs. Kojiro Burai for the Pacific Northwest Championship It's a huge opportunity for La Relampaga, but make no mistake: Kojiro has been absolutely red-hot as of late, winning the Pacific Northwest Championship, going to war with ALEXANDER in Lightning Pro... the man who was once a mid-tier fed's ace is quickly showing that he could be a top name nearly anywhere, certainly if he keeps up this pace. Three big names are in line to try and take their shot at the World Champion, but only one can get the shot. Sophia Moretti erupted back into contention with a tremendous match against Selisha last episode... Blake Dynamite is seeing a resurgence as a singles star, picking up a major victory over Listalva Anne Heyward. And Angel Leblanc now looks to consolidate her power as leader of Les Beautes Blondes... with Celine Chevalier thrown to the wayside, Angel's efforts are once again focused on her own accolades, while Michelle and Revon seek tag team glory against the Greek duo of Alexandria and Markos. Titania's desire to find the perfect challenge continues, perhaps in near-defiance of her Kintelas Family allegiance... though it's unlikely they'll mind the fact that she's now set her sights on a second member of the SFG, Laenara Kintelas. With Laenara having no loyalty to her father's ambition, Titania may very well see a golden opportunity... The first setback for Eri Sentarl and Chichi happened at the hands of... who else, the Malevolent Triad. And they're not taking that defeat lying down. Chichi will get her first singles match in Phoenix Rising, squaring off with the always-dangerous Fenix Oscuro, while Eri herself will go up against Selisha... Haruka, though part of the team that beat them last episode, has her own ambitions in mind, facing Pure Gold's Mallory Spaulding in an effort to rise through the Pacific Northwest division rankings. All this... and plenty more, tomorrow night.

Ian Robinson (AFW) vs. Sanya Markov for the Top Prospect Championship A big one this week, with the Top Prospect open challenges bringing in someone from elsewhere in the Phoenix Rising organization... AFW's Ian Robinson, as he tries to knock off the seemingly-unstoppable Russian. Sanya has looked absolutely tremendous since reclaiming the Top Prospect Championship from Golden Tiger, but someone has to have what it takes to bring him down... right? Leona Sterling also has another championship match on the horizon... and if she can keep up her momentum from the last month, she'll absolutely crush this one. Two straight CRITICAL Guillotines and Leona looks better than ever... but can she finally break her curse and claim the gold? One will notice a final name on the card: Leon Jaskulski is back in action, so keep a sharp eye on this one... he may be coming back better than ever, much like Colt Whitfield has.

Hey how about we actually post the card for the next show this time? American Frontier Wrestling Episode 17 Sung Moon vs. Laura Tate
Allison Avery and Mason Hayes vs. Ryan Donovan and Nathan Haines for the AFW Tag Team Championships
Wild Wes Wrangler vs. Todd Colton
Riley Montgomery vs. Ian Robinson
Helena Lundgren and Vanessa Saunders vs. The Foundation
Jackson Shaw vs. Natasha Clover
Nana Yoon vs. Hikari Ueno
The Rising Storm vs. Wanted: DOA
Urani Whitemist vs. Dominic Stanton vs. Ryan Donovan for the AFW Spirit of Texas Championship As anticipated, Ryan Donovan is double-booked... and defending both of his AFW championships, starting with the tag titles early in the night. He'll have plenty of time to rest and recover for his Spirit of Texas defense... but it's a frightening task for even the stoutest wrestler, staring down both a surging Dominic Stanton, and the Titan herself, Urani Whitemist. Ryan Donovan"So here we are. This whole fated 'double defense' bullshit. You wanna know what the real deal is behind all of this? It ain't because I've watered down the competition, it ain't because I've made a mockery of these titles... if anything, I've made AFW's championships THE most prestigious in the goddamn country. No, what it all boils down to is this: Lance fuckin' Marshall is afraid of what I represent. I'm the man that beat him and ended his reign as the inaugural Spirit of Texas Champion. I'm the man that's been one-half of the first and only AFW Tag Team Champions. I'm the man that's been absolutely unstoppable for over a YEAR, and that's only comin' to an end because Lance went out and brought himself in a ringer.
You think I give a shit that you're throwin' me to the wolves? A tag title defense AND a three-way for the Spirit of Texas? You watch, Marshall. YOU WATCH. I'll wipe Mason's stupid smirk off his face, swaggerin' around like he's hot shit because he happened to pick up a win against me nearly a year and a half ago. Ancient history, big guy... and it won't help you here. And it ain't gonna help your little Lariat Queen, either.
Dominic Stanton's a man that's outmatched on any given day to begin with. He ain't ready for this. He'll NEVER be ready for this. And this Titan, this outsider you insisted on bringin' in last month as a surprise? Urani Whitemist ain't gettin' a third. I goddamn guarantee that I will walk out STILL the Spirit of Texas Champion.
You wanna know why, Marshall? Whitemist? Stanton? ALL OF YOU? Because I'm the fucking Carolina Reaper. I'm the single most dominant force in this entire organization. I'm the most dangerous man walkin' the face of the earth right now.
And when I'm finished breakin' every challenger you're sending my way... I'm coming for you, Marshall. You, and your fuckin' sisters, and everyone, EVERYONE you've ever called a friend... I'm gonna make your life and theirs a living hell.
I'm through playin' games. I'm gonna show you exactly how much of a mistake you're making. And when the dust settles... there won't be any doubt in anyone's mind that I'm the greatest champion AFW will ever know. The face of the fed. The best there is.
The Reaper's comin' for you. And there ain't a damn thing you can do to stop me.
