The road to Sky's the Limit has nearly reached its end. With just four shows left in total: starting with the landmark Proving Ground #100. Proving Ground Episode 100 Calista Vargas vs. La Corsaria
The Excellent Blades vs. Wild and Wilde Inc.
HAYATO vs. Rafael Gallego
Fresh Suzuki vs. Katherine White
Adrenaline Rush vs. White Hot
Leon Jaskulski vs. Arthur Wright
Golden Tigress vs. Rin Ryusaki, #1 Contender's Match for the Inspire Championship
The Bryant Sisters vs. The Midwest Initiative
An Evergreen challenger vs. Sanya Markov for the Top Prospect Championship Mercy Devine"You know, it's about damn time my crew got their shot at this whole thing. The Houston boys got their run, damn near every other fed around got to throw their lot in to try and beat the big bad Russian. But now two weeks before Sky's the Limit, now you finally throw us our invitation? Trust me, big guy, I have a lot of options. A lot of choices I could make. Maybe not as many as I could've had considering your whole 'men only' deal for the title, but all right, fair enough.
You mark my words though, I'm not sending someone built for your big marathons, your workrate five-star classics, I'm sending a fucking killer. That's what Evergreen's all about. That's what it's always been about. We define violence around these parts, we make sure the world knows just who the face of hardcore is, and what better way to close out your big one-hundred than by watching one of my hand-picked badasses turn your big bad champion into a bloody fucking mess?
Oh, and if you think I'm gonna be stupid enough to lay all my cards on the table... nah. You can be surprised when they come out to play for the main event. Have fun, Sanya. 'cause when that bell rings, it's kill or be killed out there. Fight for your life, your title, your pride, or we're taking that precious Top Prospect Championship home with us... and Riccardo De Luca can step up in Evergreen rules if he wants to bring it back."

We look both to Showdown's past, and its future, with a special episode 100. (I know I've mentioned the Trios Championships being on this show, but we're gonna save that for next week, instead. Bigger show. Bigger deal.) Showdown Episode 100 Guest Matchup: Firehawk Sentarl vs. The Phantom Thief
Eri Sentarl and Chichi vs. The Rising Storm
Sophia Moretti vs. The Black Dragon
Guest Matchup: Lance Marshall vs. Urani Whitemist
Pure Gold (Kanjirin/Mallory/Kyle) vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Angel/Elise/Revon)
Hana Brightly vs. Shiana Sentarl
Mascara Avispa vs. Michelle Rochefort, #1 contender's match for the World Championship
Laenara Kintelas vs. Winifred Wright
Markos Andreas vs. Kojiro Burai for the Pacific Northwest Championship The very first episode of Showdown ever kicked off with an exhibition between two names that are now very, very familiar. It was Hana Brightly and Rin Ryusaki that started the show's legacy, and while Rin opted to pass on a guest spot here, Hana certainly jumped at the opportunity... but she won't be opening the card. No, that honor will go to the first "non-exhibition" match in Showdown's history. Firehawk Sentarl met the Phantom Thief in a wild matchup, and we're going to see that match once again... the Thief seems almost unchanged from those days, four and a half years ago, but Firehawk has undergone plenty of evolution since then, and will surely make this an interesting affair. Eri Sentarl is no stranger to the Rising Storm. She faced the duo on her first Showdown match, albeit with her mother, Shiana Sentarl, at her side, rather than her latest tag partner, Chichi. The Storm won back then, but can they do it again, against an Eri that's no longer a fresh-faced rookie, and a much more vicious partner in Chichi? The Storm's first Showdown match in a very long while is sure to be an interesting one. Sophia Moretti and the Black Dragon met on that first episode long ago, and to say that it was a disaster for the Italian Monster would be underselling it. The Dragon obliterated Sophia in that meeting, but Sophia has come a very long way since those early days... then again, so has the Dragon. This match requires no introduction. Lance and Urani have met plenty of times in the past, and it's always been one of the hottest matches of the night when it has happened. The two fought over the World Championship, clashed in wild, ferocious matchups that sadly went quiet when Lance formed AFW... but times could be changing, and we may be getting to see this more often with Urani's recent AFW sojourns. One team will go on to Sky's the Limit to challenge eMo for the Trios Championships. And it'll be between two teams who now carry a deep grudge against each other. As of late, it's been Les Beautes Blondes with the upper hand, with Angel and Elise defeating Kanjirin and Mallory last Showdown. But with Kyle Anderson and Revon Beauregard added into the mix, anything is possible between these trios... Hana Brightly doesn't get to face a rematch with Rin Ryusaki, but recent history suggests that this matchup might just be the better pick anyway. We haven't seen much of Shiana in 2022, but she was determined to appear on this episode as she did on the first one... and Hana will get a shot at taking down another huge name from the past. It's all riding on one more match. A shot at the World Championship, at Candace Monroe, the seemingly-unstoppable champion. Mascara Avispa and Michelle Rochefort will clash to see who goes on to next week's show... Sky's the Limit awaits, the opportunity of a lifetime staring them straight in the face. When Laenara Kintelas and Winifred Wright met on that very first Showdown, we knew so little about either woman... Laenara was the inaugural Women's Champion, picking up a tremendous victory over Winifred, who we would later learn is Lae's step-mother. Both have evolved tremendously since that day (yes, even Winifred in her late-career can learn new tricks...) And this match is certain to be one of the best of the night... The main event, the last step for Kojiro Burai if he wants to make the Sky's the Limit card. Markos Andreas is the last hurdle, the final obstacle between Kojiro and a faceoff with Titania on the biggest stage possible. Can Kojiro overcome the Macedonian Beast, and set the stage for a colossal showdown that could shake the foundations of Phoenix Rising?

One hundred episodes each! One hell of a show tonight... bear with me, I'm out of practice on the actual show write-ups, but this show needs it. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1509693612Youtube: youtu.be/1EHH9N85tAIQuick Results The Phantom Thief def. Firehawk Sentarl Chichi and Eri Sentarl def. The Rising Storm The Black Dragon def. Sophia Moretti Lance Marshall def. Urani Whitemist Pure Gold def. Les Beautes Blondes Shiana Sentarl def. Hana Brightly Mascara Avispa def. Michelle Rochefort Laenara Kintelas def. Winifred Wright Kojiro Burai def. Markos Andreas to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship
Bonus: Rilantha De Nav def. Kileas Kintelas Write-ups The first "flashback" of the night was... well, the Phantom Thief is basically the same as he's ever been all these years later. He certainly did better here, though, coming after Firehawk in a relentless attack until finally getting the win off of the Fire Star Splash. Eri Sentarl has experience with facing the Rising Storm... she did so on Showdown #1 alongside Shiana. But things have changed, and Eri came into this match against a much different Rising Storm, fighting alongside new partner Chichi. This time, there were no distractions, nothing in the way, and Chichi pulled off the big win to avenge that loss from years ago. Regardless of the outcome being the same, this was a far, far better matchup for Sophia Moretti than their original episode 1 meeting, with the Italian Monster looking far more capable, lasting three times as long against the destructive Dragon. Still, the finale was the same: reverse chokeslam for the three-count. Dragon stands tall. Flashback #3 was the rekindling of an old rivalry between titans... and once again, despite not being a current champion, Lance came out ahead once again. A big win for the Texan, and a potential shot at going towards the Spirit of Texas Championship post-Sky's the Limit. A loss from two weeks ago, avenged. Pure Gold was on fire here, tearing through LBB with a ferocity they've seemingly lacked lately... but this could be the catalyst they need to take down eMo next week at Sky's the Limit, as they challenge for the Trios Championships. We haven't seen much of Shiana Sentarl this year, but this match made her look like she hasn't missed a day. This was one of the harder-fought matches of the night, but the veteran would get the upper hand, and Hana Brightly came up just short, falling to a superkick out of the blue. Mascara Avispa has no intention of falling to the wayside this time. This was a dominant showing, a huge victory without a doubt, and sets up Avispa for a huge opportunity next week... Avispa vs. Candace Monroe, with the World Championship on the line. This was the final "flashback" match of the night, and make no mistake, this was a showcase of just how much better Laenara Kintelas is today versus back in episode 1... and she was already very, very good back then. This was all Lae, a spectacular victory for one of Showdown's brightest stars. A very, very impressive defense by Kojiro Burai... motivated, perhaps, by the idea of taking on Titania in one week. The Pacific Northwest Champion has his sights set on perhaps the most dangerous challenger to his reign yet... One last match to round out the night and get one more competitor from the first episode... Rilantha De Nav stepped in against another symbol of pure evil in Phoenix Rising. Her original Showdown #1 matchup was against Tasharun, a 30-minute affair... this wasn't quite as much of a marathon, but it was a very impressive match between two of the best Phoenix Rising has to offer, and ended with Ril snapping off a Complete Shot to score the pinfall victory.

Mascara Avispa"... And that's that. 'Ey, Michelle, the difference between us is that if I want something, there's nothing that'll stop me from getting my shot. Maybe you should learn to take what you want instead of expecting it to be handed to you."
"Now, getting down to business...! I've been here since 2018 - fought my first match against the same guy I won the tag titles with, Blake Dynamite. That's the kinda history I have with this place. That's four years, four years, of me dedicating my life and career to this company, even when I'm fighting on someone else's turf... and yet every time I've come close to the top of the mountain, someone else has knocked me back down. And, well, it's getting pretty fucking tiresome having to make that trek up every damn year. So enough of choking in the big game. Enough getting picked apart by crazy ladies in snake masks and being on one end of the ring, watching as two frenemies beat a team who's been a unit working in perfect harmony for years. I want to give the audience here a chance to see that I am a REAL champion," he says, while making a pistol motion with his thumb and index finger, "and not just a gatekeeper for the PNW belt. I think I made my statement tonight, loud and clear. And anyone doubting me, don't you say, 'Well, if it was Blake in the ring, you wouldn't have had that fire!' Nah, to hell with that. If it was a Mega Powers exploding kinda thing out there tonight, that would've meant I'd show my partner no mercy, just like Michelle Rochefort. That's how serious I am about that belt around Candace Monroe's waist." "And, Candace -- don't think you're going in to fight against someone on the same level as everyone else you've gone up against. I'm not as full of myself as any of the guys in Pure Gold, I'm not that 'BIG IN JAPAN' conceited outsider prick, I'm faster and smarter than Logan Axelrod, and I've got far more submission tricks than Sophia Moretti ever did. For all the heel hooks and ankle locks you can bust out with those MMA fundamentals you learned, I've got entire textbooks' worth of llaves to answer them with. So, next week, I'm gonna show you how many deep cuts I can bust out at a moment's notice. The minute you drop your guard, I'm gonna twist you and turn you inside out just like I did to that relic of the past, Kileas. And then I'm gonna make history as the first champion since Lance Marshall himself to come from outside of Phoenix Rising's training system to hold the biggest title around here, and light a fire under this company's collective asses!"
