(Brand new Phoenix Rising logo made by Hana! THANKS HANA!) Started in the mid-2000s by Firehawk Sentarl, the company now known as Phoenix Rising began life as something else... a decidedly more generic promotion in the Pacific Northwest that simply didn't have the staying power to endure. Nevertheless, the company clung to life until 2015, when all seemed to be lost and the doors were shuttered. Firehawk and the Sentarl family went dark for two years, but in early 2017, rumors began circling... and hints began to drop of a revival. A second chance. Now, from the ashes of a fallen promotion comes Phoenix Rising, poised to succeed where Firehawk once failed, and carve out their own niche. The rules of the fed are simple: the results stand as they happen. Shows are LIVE on Monday nights at 7PM Pacific time at www.twitch.tv/firehawk2289, alternating between two shows: Proving Ground and Showdown (These two shows have basically become more like Raw and Smackdown than Proving Ground being NXT, making its own way.) In addition, Thursdays will mostly have a show as well, alternating between the Houston-based American Frontier Wrestling and more local hardcore-style Evergreen Federation Wrestling.

Time once again to look ahead. And this time, Phoenix Rising really is looking ahead... as there's been a change of plans for the near future. Firstly, Showdown episode 13 next week hashes out something like this. Pre-Show: Mallory Spaulding vs. Todd Colton
Pre-Show: Blake Dynamite vs. Telan Kintelas
Pre-Show: Candace Monroe vs. Mercy Devine
Eri Sentarl vs. Sophia Moretti
Kaelara Sentarl vs. Haruka Matsura
Shiana Sentarl vs. Laenara Kintelas
Les Beautes Blondes vs. The Rising Storm
Winifred Wright vs. Alexandria Kirison
Lance Marshall vs. The Phantom Thief
Urani Whitemist vs. Rilantha De Nav
Firehawk Sentarl vs. The Black Dragon
Kileas Kintelas vs. Tasharun (Card order's still subject to change right now, not sure where it'll land in the end.) But that's hardly the only thing happening. Episode 14 of both Proving Ground and Showdown will go as scheduled for the two weeks after Showdown #13... but rather than Proving Ground #15 happening after that, something much, much bigger is going down. On August 6th, 2018, Phoenix Rising prepares its biggest show ever. Every championship in the fed will be on the line. The semifinal and the finals of the Proving Ground tag tournament wrap up. Six matches with championship implications, a card packed with potential to change the entire landscape of Phoenix Rising itself. That night: Phoenix Rising: Sky's The Limit. Currently scheduled for that night: Blake Dynamite vs. Mallory Spaulding for the Top Prospect Championship Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Natasha Clover for the Inspire Championship Semifinal and Final match of the Proving Ground Tag Team Tournament Shiana Sentarl vs. Anahera (and potentially others) The SFG defend their Tag Team Championship Urani Whitemist defends the World Championship Following the events of Perfect Delta's VALOR I, Black Dragon was evaluated and deemed fit for competition... barely. She was told to take it easy for some time so as not to aggravate the minor injury she suffered in her match with Crusher Honda. She will still wrestle on Showdown episode 13, but has been warned that she was very lucky against Honda, and should not take any unnecessary risks. Essentially, this means that Dragon will be going into her Showdown match with a slight handicap: she's cleared, but it's a reluctant one, and she's going to be feeling the effects of that match. By the time Showdown episode 14 rolls around it will no longer affect her UNLESS something happens in her match with Firehawk. The Rising Storm "It comes to this again. No matter the company, no matter the time, no matter the situation. Wouldn't you know it, though... the tables are turned on us, this time." Anahera rolls a shoulder... perhaps even now, still not used to holding no championship. "Management has a plan in mind, now... the winner, here, goes on to face Firehawk and Rilantha. And the last time I checked, Angel... we can beat you. We WILL beat you. No matter who it is that stands at your side, we will remind everyone that the Rising Storm will always be stronger, faster, better than Les Beautes Blondes. We'll come for you, we'll come for the championships you hold, we'll come for the SFG's titles, and we will remind EVERYONE that we're the premiere tag team here, and everywhere else we appear."
"All that remains is to take you down, and stand tall once again. We'll get our rematch with the SFG. We'll get our redemption at Sky's the Limit. We'll return to our place atop the tag team division. And we'll never, EVER let go of that spot again." Xiu Mei offers a crisp bow, while Anahera remains upright... fierce look never leaving her eyes. Angel Leblanc "Let the dogs of the tag division here in Phoenix Rising bark all they like. There is one simple fact that nobody can deny. Les Beautes Blondes have proven one thing: we are, without a doubt, the greatest force in tag team wrestling. Perfect Delta Tag Team Champions. Soon to be Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions. The Rising Storm cannot stop us. The SFG will not block our path to glory. NO ONE can match who we are... and when myself and Michelle Rochefort stand tall over the Rising Storm, it will be clear to everyone that your time in the spotlight has come to an end. You are nothing... and Les Beautes Blondes will be the true force standing over Phoenix Rising." Laenara Kintelas "Lot of people seem to forget, these days. Before Haruka. Before Shiana. Before all this bullshit happened, before Anahera earned her shot at the top, I WAS NUMBER ONE. I was the first Women's Champion in Phoenix Rising's history, and I'm going to remind you that NOBODY can ever take that away from me. And now, I've got a shot at coming back to where it started. I've got a shot at the Queen herself, the big boss lady, the champ herself. Shiana... you know I've got a ton of respect for you, you know I've always considered you one of the best. But that title that's sitting around your waist was mine before it was yours, no matter how much longer you've been around than me. Anahera's not gonna be the only one taking a shot at you when Sky's the Limit rolls around. I intend to be right there with her. I'm going to walk out of Showdown as a contender, and out of Sky's the Limit the first ever TWO-TIME WOMEN'S CHAMPION." Winifred Wright "I'm sick and tired of all these little pups showing me up. Tired of being let down. Tired of partners failing me. And none worse than YOU, Kirison. Time and time again you keep stealing the spotlight for yourself, and failing us as a team. So consider this the end of it. You're worthless to me. Nothing but useless TRASH. And I'll send you running back to your cute little Aussie punching bag of a student on Proving Ground... because you don't belong in the same ring as me, Alex. You don't belong on my level. And once I've broken you, and your spirit, I'm going to return to the place I've always belonged... at the TOP. I'll crush you... and I'll crush Shiana en route to claiming the championship that should have always been mine." Kileas Kintelas "Always seems inevitable, doesn't it? When one is down, the other is up... when Tasharun is at his lowest, I take my rightful place on top. But now, look at you... rising through the ranks again, from square one, trying to reclaim your position as the villain of Phoenix Rising. But let me remind you, Tasharun... that even when you stood at the top, even when you were the champion, EVEN WHEN YOU WERE AN UNSTOPPABLE MONSTER! There was only one name that people thought of as the VILLAIN around here. You're never going to stand above me. You'll never be considered in the same breath as I am. And after this match... your rise towards the top again comes to a brutal end. I'm going to put you down and end your 'revenge' in one swift moment." Tasharun "... Kileas is a man that thinks far too highly of himself. Making claims he can't defend. Naming titles he can't possibly live up to. 'Alpha Villain'... you're a fool, Kileas. A man with an ego far too dangerous to be left unchecked. You can't stop me. Firehawk can't stop me. And the day is swiftly approaching that I will return to my rightful place. Urani Whitemist will fall from her perch... and when the dust settles, you will never be able to keep what is mine from me again." Firehawk Sentarl "Not much to be said here. Phoenix vs. Dragon. Two of the best around finally getting a chance to square off. Dragon... you're rough around the edges. You're vicious... brutal. But as the months have gone by I've seen someone that's earned her happy ending. Someone that's conquered her demons. I don't want any bad blood going into this thing. Just you, me, and one hell of a fight to come. You show up with your best... I'll do the same. And we'll meet again soon... for the prize around your waist, next time around."

Showdown Episode 13, the start of a new era for the community, and the continuing build towards Sky's The Limit... nothing, NOTHING is gonna slow me down or get in my way. Not even a change of venue. Les Beautes Blondes Alexandria Kirison def. Winifred Wright Urani Whitemist def. Rilantha De Nav Shiana Sentarl def. Laenara Kintelas Tasharun def. Kileas Kintelas Write-ups Pre-Show Who would've guessed this? Todd Colton held his own with one of the most intimidating sights in Phoenix Rising, taking on Mallory move-for-move right to the end and nearly wrecking her powerful arms along the way. But the foregone conclusion still occurred... and Mallory came away with another win. An impressive showing from both men here, but Blake was the better of the two this time, despite Telan bringing his impressive power to bear. Still, a promising match for Telan, who's had some trouble gaining traction lately. Candace might never lose again! In all seriousness, this match was HEAVILY stacked in the young Aussie's favor, with Mercy just coming off of a leg injury, and Candace didn't hesitate to work it. Another much-needed victory... her spirits should be high going into the Proving Ground tag semifinal. Main Show Eri's back in the win column. After a frustrating stretch of bad luck, the Little Phoenix came ROARING out in this one, and while Sophia gave it her best shot, Eri finally exorcised her demons and took the Italian Monster down, FINALLY getting the win she needed so badly. It was the Lance of old tonight, ripping through the Phantom Thief without a single care. Thief took a run at this, but couldn't get any traction. Haruka was up to her old tricks here: mist, dirty tactics, and the dangerous Death From Above... and none of it was going to stop Kaelara. She threw everything right back at Haruka, and eventually, rolled her up for a big win over the Syndicate. Dragon barely looked hurt here. While Firehawk threw everything he had into this one, it wasn't enough to stop the supposedly-injured Dragon, who simply stormed through this match as if she were running at 100%. Firehawk continues to slip in singles matches... the tag division may be his only salvation, now. A miscommunication led to this match's rules changing moments before it was due to start: no interference from the illegal partner, and elimination rules. The Blondes were quite upset by this... though a lot of that may be attributed to their loss to a dominant-looking Rising Storm. A livid, frustrated Winifred wanted badly to take out her anger on her tag team partner... a shame that Alex was in no mood to deal with Winifred. The Greek once again showed why she's one of the most dangerous women in Phoenix Rising, and picked up another win over the old veteran... how much more does Winifred have in the tank? As good as Ril looked here, Urani was better. Ril showed flashes of the top-level main-event star she was in the early days of Phoenix Rising, but a -nasty- Ushi-goroshi left her beaten, and Urani without a challenger for Sky's The Limit. Any doubts that Shiana Sentarl might be slipping were wiped out with this one. An absolutely INSANE final minute kept a wildly frenetic pace that didn't let up until Shiana had Lae's shoulders pinned to the mat. Anahera remains the only challenger for Shiana's title at Sky's The Limit. When a hero does what Tasharun did tonight, you cheer... you wonder what drives them, you continue to push them forward. When Tasharun is the one that refuses to die, however... you fear it. The Demon is back, and no matter what Kileas did, it was never enough... and perhaps, now, nothing COULD be enough. Promos to follow soon.

Eri Sentarl "Never again. I'm not letting Sophia push me around anymore. All the times we've faced off and you've left me out cold in the middle of the ring... never again. You were the one person I supposedly couldn't beat, and now, I've beaten you. I'm gonna make my way to the top again, and I'm gonna show everyone that I DO have what it takes to be the best." The Black Dragon "It doesn't matter if I'm at my best or not. It doesn't matter who I've faced, what's happened to me. Crusher Honda can't keep me down. Anahera sure as hell can't keep me down. And Firehawk COULDN'T EVEN BEAT ME. Should've known all that grandstanding years ago about being 'fireproof' was a load of crap... how else are you supposed to burn and rise from the ashes? Good luck rising back up after that, though. You and Ril wanna come at our tag team championship, good luck. Cause the way I see it... I'm better than you, Laenara's better than you, and there is no way in hell that we are EVER losing these titles." Tasharun "There's only one thing that needs to stay in your mind right now. One image that should endure and be remembered whenever you think of Kileas Kintelas. A broken man, forced to bow to the true villain, the single most powerful force in Phoenix Rising. Kileas does not have what it takes to stand at my level. He does not have what it takes to be the best. And he will never be the man to hold the World Championship. It will be coming back to its rightful place soon enough... with me." Next week, July 23rd, Proving Ground Episode 14 will be the last Proving Ground before Sky's The Limit. This show will have the other half of the tag tournament's first round, and set up the semifinals for Sky's The Limit. With this in mind, let's take a look. Proving Ground Episode 14
Pre-Show: Emma Travers vs. Cassie RosePre-Show: Mercy Devine vs. Anna Bryant
Pre-Show: Allison Avery vs. Anari Lynn Heyward
Pre-Show: Todd Colton vs. Avery Adonis Alexander
Donna Nobel vs. Nicole Alger
Blake Dynamite vs. Kyle Anderson
Victor Kintelas vs. Silver Hawk
Besos and Mega Meat vs. Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki
Candace Monroe vs. Nicole Blade
Kellaron Sentarl vs. Elly Blackwood
Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Rachel White
Vivian Forester and Felice Santana vs. Kanjirin Tonorian and Mallory SpauldingOn the pre-show: Mercy Devine makes her return to Proving Ground following her injury at the hands of Yokai in SHTCW:a, and squares off with the young Anna Bryant. Allison Avery aims to continue looking strong as she takes on the powerhouse that is Anari Lynn Heyward. And Todd Colton continues to seek another victory... and figures that he'll take a shot at the other half of the Muscle Machines in Avery Adonis Alexander.
The Excellent Blades fell to the Limbtakers in the first round of the tag tournament... and now, they'll be given a chance to regain some momentum as they get a rematch of sorts in two separate singles matches. Donna Nobel will take on Nicole Alger, while later on the card, Nicole Blade will face Candace Monroe. Time will tell if the newly-formed team can get some headway against the Limbtakers.
Blake Dynamite has been on a bit of a roll besides his loss to Mallory Spaulding... but this week, he seems less concerned about dealing with the group led by Kellaron, and more about trying to ensure someone can deal with them. This match with Kyle Anderson may be less about defeating an opponent and more for other reasons...
Victor Kintelas has been the right hand of Kellaron since the formation of their group... and now he seems intent on reminding everyone why he's been given that position, as he sets his sights on the fan favorite Silver Hawk.
The first round of the tag tournament continues with the guest team of Besos and Mega Meat taking on Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki. The winner here goes on to face the Limbtakers at Sky's The Limit.
Kellaron Sentarl looks to regain his momentum as he takes on one of the most intimidating figures on Proving Ground: Elly Blackwood is a frightening force to be reckoned with, and even the brash young man may not have what it takes to handle Elly's brand of devastation.
Listalva Anne Heyward may be shaken after losing to Natasha Clover last time out... and now she tries to re-focus against Natasha's former partner, Rachel White. A loss here would be disastrous... and not only for Listalva, as Rachel could make her case for the Inspire Championship and make the match a 3-way dance!
Closing out the night, the final first-round match: Mallory Spaulding and Kanjirin Tonorian are set to take on Vivian Forester and Felice Santana. Mallory stated very clearly that she's fully willing to wrestler potentially THREE TIMES in a single night, and if her team wins here, she could very well do just that... and you have to imagine against Vivian and Felice, that may be a very likely outcome. The winners here go on to face Mascara Avispa and the Phantom Thief in the semifinal.

Todd Colton "So I've been hearing a whole lot over the last couple of months, ever since I got that win over Gary Gear. People use that as a damn PUNCHLINE! It's not a case of me picking up a win, it's the fact that big bad Gary Gear got beat! And nobody, nobody says it more than his partner. Mr. Adonis himself. You want to keep knocking on me because you think I'm not good enough, that's fine, but you're gonna learn something this week, tough guy... when the day comes that I'll have a win over BOTH of the Muscle Machines!" Victor Kintelas "Silver Hawk? They've put me against him? Don't get me started. The fans can cheer and support whoever the hell they want, but it doesn't mean they're successful. Pandering won't get you anywhere around here... the only thing that matters is results. And I GET results. Just like I will this week. I'm sure I'll upset a lot of people... but ask me if I care. Your opinion doesn't matter to me. Never has, never will." Elly Blackwood "I'm not going to discuss what's been going on the past week or so... but Kellaron, rest assured that you'll be meeting trouble before too long. Starting this week... I fully intend to show you what it means to take on the 'Invincible', and remind you just how far you have left to go before you deserve to be called the best around here. You won't be the only force on Proving Ground. I can guarantee that." Nicole Blade "This show is about vengeance. About showing those upstart Limbtakers what they've unleashed. I am the strongest woman on Proving Ground, and Candace Monroe is gonna learn in a hurry that one win doesn't give her reason to puff herself up like she's suddenly a world-beating champion. I'm gonna put your tiny Aussie ass on the shelf, and then we'll see who the real tag team champions are!" Candace Monroe "The way I understand it, Blade and Nobel are pretty upset about droppin' that match in the tournament. Guess all it took was facin' a team newer than RNA and me, right? Here's the thing... you can BE the strongest woman around, but that won't help you once I get a hold of your leg, once I slam your chin down in a Stunner... I'm not planning on losing again any time soon. I won't go back to losing streaks. Not ever again."

An additional match has been added to Proving Ground's pre-show this week: Emma Travers, formerly head referee of Proving Ground (though she'll still carry out her duties on Showdown!) will make her in-ring debut to kick off the show against Cassie Rose. Head referee duties for Proving Ground will now be passed to a familiar face... to be revealed the night of the show.

Thanks, I definitely try to give every edit at least a bit of character/background. It may not always be totally clear at times but I do try to help that come out when I can.

Some promos are due here: Muscle Machines Gary Gear: This is it! Put up or shut up time! And you know I'm hoping that either way, you just shut up!
Adonis Avery Alexander: Whatever.
Gear: Naw, you know what this is! The pressure is on, bro!
AAA: Don't ever call me "bro" again.
Gear: You gotta win here! It's big time now! Because if you don't win...
AAA: I'll win. Unlike you, I'm born for this. I'm a natural athlete.
Gear: And if you lose, you're a natural loser, har har!
AAA: There is no chance that I repeat your folly. I don't lose to an absolute joke like Todd Colton.
Gear: And you said you don't lose to women, either, and see where that got you! Face it, all the bull you've thrown my way, I'm gonna enjoy this big time, when you lose to the loser!
AAA: Whatever.
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: Candace and I, we got our win now. The momentum's just started. But now it's time for a little detour. Donna Nobel, you're a real wrestler. They tell me you own the mat. Might even be true, non-literally. But there's a difference between you and I. You're who you are. That doesn't change. Any time you're in the ring, people know what to expect. But me, I'm not like that at all. I may not have started things out with a lot of wins or awards. But I keep changing. I keep evolving. And while I've been nowhere near your level in the past...I might be approaching it now. So come get some, 'cause I'm ready to roll!
Felice Felice Santana: Tough match tonight! It's a challenge for me and Viv, but I like a challenge! Don't get me wrong, these are two scary people we're up against! Kanjirin is a big bad guy! He hits people and they hurt! And Mallory is even more scary! I think she wants to see how far she can throw everyone, and I know she can throw me really really far! But as strong as they are, as big as they are and bad as they are, we've got a few advantages! We're a good team, me and Viv know how to work together! We're both faster and trickier! So I can't wait for tonight, I may be a little scared, but I'm much more excited!

Vivian Forester and Felice Santana Write-ups Pre-Show Not the best debut ever, but Emma didn't simply roll over and die against Cassie, here. She showed some solid technical ability, and clearly has some potential... but what else do you expect of a student of Rilantha De Nav? It was technical skill that won the day over violence this time out, as Anna twisted and contorted the psychotic Mercy into a pretzel-like rollup. Anna's looked solid for a few weeks now, and certainly seems to have bounced back well from her scare against the Muscle Machines. Allison might have looked strong in her debut, but Anari was an absolute monster here and never let the Arkansas native get out of the gate. Lariats weren't enough here... giant powerbombs were the order of the day, and Allison ate a BIG one to put this one away, in what would be a solid night for the Heyward sisters. This match was a reminder that Todd Colton isn't quite as much of a joke as some might make him out to be... if pressed, he's a dangerous opponent that can turn the tide when he has to. And he very nearly stole this one off of a BIG Canadian Destroyer that AAA barely managed to kick out of. Adonis may have walked away with the win, but it was far from easy. Main Show RNA's first-ever singles match in Phoenix Rising was a doozy. Opening the main card, she came hard out of the gate against Nobel, all under the watchful eye of Proving Ground's new head referee, the familiar Hana Brightly. Alger would do what she does best here, working Nobel's arms hard... but after flipping out of a German attempt, Alger went for a German of her own, and scored a HUGE three-count to win her Proving Ground singles debut! Kyle's struggle to keep a winning streak going continued here, as Blake proved more than enough to handle him. Still, there clearly was no bad blood between these two... and with Blake facing down a dangerous quartet, he may need all the help he can get in the near future. This was the shocker of the night. Victor looked to be in control of this match from the get-go, and Silver Hawk was making odd mistakes... but perhaps it was all according to plan, as late-match, Silver Hawk spread his wings, took flight, and rolled Victor up for an unbelievable victory! The guest team of the tag tournament put on a good showing here, but it seemed like Fresh and Rin were just too quick on their feet for Mega Meat to handle. Besos did what she could, but the Japanese duo would come away with the win, and earned a showdown with the Limbtakers in the semifinals at Sky's The Limit. What some would call a "mismatch", Candace Monroe clearly took as a challenge. Much opposed to the one-sided stomping many thought this match would be, Candace showed a tremendous amount of heart as she took on one of the scariest powerhouses Proving Ground has to offer in Nicole Blade, and very nearly had her beaten more than once... but Blade would not be denied, and her powerful offense finally took its toll, a series of hard elbows seeming to knock the young Aussie out cold for the pinfall. Still... gone seems to be the days of Candace being a pushover... Kellaron's frustrations only continue. Failing to bring down Kerry Texan in AAW, and now dropping yet another match in his home fed, Kellaron may not be half the man he thinks he is... Elly worked him to near-perfection here, powering out of nearly every bit of offense he had to muster. Elly The Invincible may yet still be the most frightening force on Proving Ground. This was not the fun-loving Queen Anne. Not tonight. This was a woman on a mission, determined to remind the crowd of who she is, of what the title she holds is supposed to represent. There were no kisses, no teasing, just the painful stretch of the Impending Doom... and Rachel couldn't withstand the onslaught. The Inspire Champion looks prepared for war... and she's certain to bring it to Natasha Clover at Sky's The Limit. For as much of a mis-match as this one might've been, Felice and Vivian still refused to make it easy on their opponents. But it was Mallory Spaulding that did most of the heavy lifting here, almost in a literal sense, suplexing both Vivian and Felice around the ring almost at her leisure. A few close calls seemed to have the crowd catching their breath... but ultimately, Mallory would finish the match, and nobody would go home hurt this time. Still, Mallory is now set to wrestle at least twice in one night at Sky's The Limit... does the suplex queen of Proving Ground have what it takes? Promos Candace Monroe Candace has an ice pack on her head, but still wears a bit of a smirk. "All right, all right... Blade beat me clean, straight up. But I bet you're not used to working for it, huh? Big girl like you is probably more used to people rolling over for you. Just remember, I -had- your ass more than once, and you got lucky. We ever meet in that ring again, I'm not gonna let you get away with it like you did this time. I'll do more than tweak that knee of yours, I'll pull your whole leg out of its socket and force you to admit you got beat." Mallory Spaulding "Gold is a big thing in wrestling. To some people, it's the only thing that matters. Championship gold is a marker that you are, without a doubt, the best at what you do. And right now, there is nobody... NOBODY on Proving Ground better one-on-one, or tag, than I am. Kanjirin at my side... it could be Victor, it could be Kellaron, it wouldn't matter and I damn well proved it tonight, that I am the undisputed most dangerous wrestler Proving Ground has ever seen. I could've broken little Felice Santana's neck if I wanted to, but I let her off easy. I could've done the same to Vivian Forester, but I didn't think she was worth it. But I have a date with destiny at Sky's The Limit. I'm not only going to crush Blake Dynamite under my heel, I'm going to destroy Avispa, I'm going to destroy the Phantom Thief... and it doesn't matter who wins the other semifinal. If it's little Rin and Fresh, I'll throw them around the ring like ragdolls. And if it's the Limbtakers... I'll break them both in half. It doesn't matter who you put in front of me. Not anymore. Because when the dust settles at Sky's The Limit, I will hold not one, but TWO championships... and become the greatest star that Proving Ground has ever witnessed." Listalva Anne Heyward "Listen up, Clover. While you sat at home watchin' in comfort, I was out here, bustin' my ass. Champions don't take the night off. Champions don't go home and sit around. Champions come out and FIGHT, even when they're down. And I made damn sure that at Sky's The Limit, it's just gonna be you and me. Nobody else to get in our way. You're not gettin' the sunshine and love, Natasha... I'm gonna beat the hell outta you, because it's been a LONG TIME COMIN'." Blake Dynamite "We all know what's really going on with that group. Kellaron claims he's in charge. But we've all seen it by now. Mallory Spaulding's the one calling the shots... and Mallory's the one that's coming for this title. Mallory wants nothing more than to be called the Top Prospect. And hell, she might earn it. But not until she gets through me one more time. It's you and me. Suplex queen against the best high-flyer around. I'm not gonna let you do to me what you did last time... I still need to beat you to make sure you four know who you're dealing with. To make sure you know that you're never, EVER gonna bring me down. I'll see you in two weeks, Mallory. We'll settle this properly."

Muscle Machines Adonis Avery Alexander: I don't care how long it took, how much it took. I won. Which you didn't do.
Gary Gear: Ha ha, you only won because I was showing my support from ringside.
AAA: You were only there to laugh in my face if I lost! You cheered for Todd Colton during that match!
Gear: I wasn't cheering for him!
AAA: I distinctly heard you say "kick his ass, chumpstain!"
Gear: Um...you're a chumpstain, too. So maybe I was cheering for you!
AAA: You said it when he hit the Destroyer.
Gear: I wanted you to jump up like it was nothing and win!
AAA: Whatever.
Gear: Really! I'm just glad one of us beat that twerp!
AAA: Unconvincing.
Gear: Anyway, a win for you here is a win for the Machines! So I'm glad you won.
AAA: Like I said, the better of us pulled it off, while the inferior one could not.
Gear: But maybe not too glad...
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Match by match, step by step! One win at a time! I feel bad for Candace, though, and Nicole Blade is one bad bitch. Dunno if I would have beaten her one on one, either. Maybe on my best night, but usually, I'm not sure. But I did get the win on Nobel, and she's no slouch. Gave her a taste of her own medicine, even. So let's see what we've got next. Me and Candace gotta face Rin and Fresh. They'll give us a match. But we'll give them a fight.
Felice Felice Santana: That was rough! I think Mallory could beat four of us by herself! I don't think I even saw Kanjirin in the ring at all! All I know is that I got thrown around over and over again! And I think I'm gonna be sick! That wasn't fun! And everything hurts! Oh well, guess that's part of this all! I almost think I'd want to face Listalva again before I have another match with Mallory...almost...

Time to post the card for next week's Showdown Episode 14: AKA the FINAL show before Sky's The Limit on the 6th of August. Showdown Episode 14Pre-Show: Ribbit and Kero Kero (Amphibian Association!) vs. The Excellent Blades (Nicole Blade and Donna Nobel) Pre-Show: The Black Dragon vs. The Phantom Thief Pre-Show: Elise Pichon vs. Allison Avery Shiana Sentarl vs. Kaelara Sentarl Rilantha De Nav vs. Tasharun Sophia Moretti vs. Winifred Wright The Rising Storm vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Angel and Michelle) (OFFICIAL #1 CONTENDER MATCH) Haruka Matsura vs. Alexandria Kirison Eri Sentarl vs. Laenara Kintelas Firehawk Sentarl vs. Urani Whitemist Lance Marshall vs. Kileas Kintelas (World Title #1 Contender) On the pre-show, we kick things off with the special guest team of Ribbit and Kero Kero, as they tackle the Excellent Blades, seeking to get more in-sync as a team. Both looked impressive on Proving Ground, but now they face a team from outside of Phoenix Rising entirely... can they handle the hops? The Black Dragon has been undefeated in Phoenix Rising since her World Championship defeat at the hands of Lance Marshall. Nobody has been able to stop this terrifying force... but perhaps the Phantom Thief could be one to step up and tackle the tag team champion, just two weeks after she defeated Firehawk Sentarl? Elise Pichon makes her return to the Phoenix Rising ring to finish out the pre-show. After suffering an injury some weeks ago, she's been cleared to return to action, and intends to return to supporting Les Beautes Blondes in a more physical manner... though for now, she will focus on Allison Avery. Kaelara Sentarl has assembled an impressive resume over the past few weeks, and now faces perhaps her toughest test ever: a match with the Women's Champion, her own mother, Shiana. A win here would add Kae into the mix at Sky's The Limit, and potentially give Kaelara the chance to hold gold for the first time in Phoenix Rising... but what a way to do it. There is perhaps no greater animosity between two members of Phoenix Rising than that between Rilantha and Tasharun. Tasharun has never believed Ril should be capable of challenging him, a belief that has been tested more than once in the past... and the last time they met, Rilantha brought it in a big way and scored the victory. Can she do it a second time here? The Syndicate has struggled, as of late... their last appearance a disappointing one as both halves of the team lost to the Sentarl sisters. Sophia looks to re-focus and take on the always-dangerous Winifred Wright, who's also seen some trouble lately, falling to her (seemingly former) tag partner, Alexandria Kirison, last Showdown. The SFG WILL get its challenger decided here, in this match: after Les Beautes Blondes protested the rules change last week, a rematch was scheduled under normal tag rules, slated for the #1 contendership to face the SFG at Sky's The Limit. The Rising Storm once again seeks to prove that they are the better team as this rivalry refuses to die. Haruka Matsura, despite her status as a former Women's Champion, has looked less than stellar... perhaps even rougher than Sophia, at times. But she'll certainly be looking for redemption against Alexandria, who may be looking to build a case towards a future shot at the Women's Championship... Sentarl vs. Kintelas. It's a rivalry that will never die: at least, not here. Eri Sentarl seems to have finally gotten her spark back, but she now faces off against perhaps one of the most impressive women on the roster in Laenara Kintelas. It'll take all of Eri's skill to come out of this one with a win... A defeat at the hands of the Black Dragon last week didn't dampen Firehawk any... nor did his struggles in AAW, seemingly. He now prepares to take on the World Champion herself... and a win here could reverse his fortunes in an instant, rocketing him into a 3-way championship match at Sky's The Limit. The top two men in Phoenix Rising prepare to square off for a shot at the title... Lance Marshall, newly-crowned two-time AAW Heavyweight Champion, looks to add another accolade to his already-impressive career, while Kileas Kintelas seems poised to finally punch through to the top and finally capture the prize he's been after for so long. But the only thing that's certain here: the winner has Urani Whitemist to worry about. Kileas Kintelas "There can be no doubt about who the better man is. Lance Marshall does not deserve to be in the discussion, right now. Lance Marshall doesn't know what I know. Hasn't seen what I've seen. And he will learn, before long, that I cannot be stopped, I will not be denied, I will be given my due. Champion or not, this isn't AAW, Marshall... this is Phoenix Rising. And you'll find out very soon that I am no old, broken-down Texan... I am the Alpha Villain, the single most dangerous force in Phoenix Rising, and you will kneel to your better." Lance Marshall "Kileas wants to talk about a lot of things. Experience. About how Phoenix Rising is different from anywhere else. About how he's some kind of big, bad threat around here. Sure, he's right about one thing, the man's dangerous without a doubt. But remind me, Kileas, who's a former Phoenix Risin' World Champion, and who's not? I'm goin' back to the top, I'm takin' you out, and I'm gunnin' for my rematch with Urani now that I'm back to feelin' like myself again. It ain't gonna take much. I'm gonna make damn sure you know whose era this is... cause it ain't yours anymore." Urani Whitemist "All of the talk now turns ahead towards Sky's The Limit. People looking past this show, as though it holds no importance. Talk about the championship match all you like, but you have to get there first... and I don't intend to give this championship up lightly. Firehawk Sentarl wants to show that he's still capable... wants to prove he still has one final chance at the top. But no matter who you are, or who you think you are, I will not let you run through me. I will not let you see Sky's The Limit, not across from me. This is where I show the world what I truly am capable of."

It's Monday again... Same time as always (slightly dependent on AAW's end time, as usual, but should be going around 7PM PDT). This is the last show before Sky's The Limit, so let's make this one count.
