It's all wrapped up... the final show before the big one. Sky's The Limit is NEXT WEEK, and here's where we stood after tonight. Twitch Pre-Show: www.twitch.tv/videos/291280228Youtube Pre-Show: youtu.be/MVnMvowjDRITwitch Main Show: www.twitch.tv/videos/291280229Youtube Main Show: youtu.be/b_8i2PuGJfsQuick Results The Excellent Blades def. The Amphibian Association The Phantom Thief def. The Black Dragon Elise Pichon def. Allison Avery
Shiana Sentarl def. Kaelara Sentarl Tasharun def. Rilantha De Nav Sophia Moretti def. Winifred Wright The Rising Storm def. Les Beautes Blondes Alexandria Kirison def. Haruka Matsura Eri Sentarl def. Laenara Kintelas Urani Whitemist def. Firehawk Sentarl Kileas Kintelas def. Lance Marshall Write-ups Pre-Show A resounding victory for the Blades, finally, as they turned this into an all-out brawl. Nicole would ultimately put this one to rest with a HUGE powerbomb... leading into her body-breaking Boston Crab, forcing Kero Kero to admit defeat. A stunning upset in true Phantom Thief fashion. He worked this match to perfection, keeping Dragon on the run, forcing her to keep up with his pace... which she couldn't do, and ultimately, she was forced to submit. The young rookie from Arkansas tried to prove herself here, but got far too overzealous: her lariats were well-telegraphed and Elise easily slipped by them en route to planting her with a quick suplex, and closing out the pre-show. Main Show There can be no doubt in anyone's mind now: Shiana's far from ready to give up her spot at the top, not even to her daughters: she now holds victories over both Eri and Kaelara, after a quick-shot Superkick put this one away, and ensured that Shiana will only have to focus on Anahera next week. Ril, as usual, took a tremendous beating here... she fought back, but this time, didn't have the strength to push the Demon hard enough, and was laid out by the Demon's Wrath... Tasharun, of course, wasn't satisfied with just the win, and took to destroying the veteran after the bell, crushing Ril with a spear before officials were able to pull him away. This looked more like the Sophia of old. She looked downright dominant against a dangerous opponent, keeping Winifred on the defensive with suplexes, brainbusters, and even locking in the Nightmare sleeper at one point. A Binding Suplex would continue Winifred's slump, and give Sophia a much-needed victory. Normal rules or not, it seemed that the Rising Storm was destined to get their rematch for the tag titles they lost to the SFG. Anahera almost seemed to be looking forward to wrestling twice in one night... after all, she'd hardly be the only one doing so. Haruka did not look nearly as impressive as her Syndicate partner, taking an enormous beating from Alex... but she endured far more than anyone would've anticipated, even looking breathless at one point in the match. The ninja was forced to submit, finally, but gave Alex more trouble than anticipated. The Eri of old has returned. She's motivated, she's dangerous, and Laenara Kintelas caught the brunt of her hot streak, the Little Phoenix knocking the tag champion out cold, and giving Eri her second big win in a row... but all eyes turned to the mysterious image that appeared on the screen after this match, hailing the arrival of one "Fenix Oscuro"... and seemed targeted at Eri. Firehawk's slump continues as he came up short here, Urani absolutely overwhelming him and never letting him get off any of his major offense. The World Champion looks enormously strong going into Sky's The Limit... And to the dismay and disgust of the crowd, Urani's opponent will not be the wildly popular Lance Marshall, but the most hated villain in Phoenix Rising, Kileas Kintelas. Perhaps it was a lingering doubt after dropping the AAW Heavyweight Championship again so soon, but Lance did not look like himself here... and Kileas took FULL advantage of it. Kileas Kintelas "Oh, believe me... I heard it all. Every last boo, saw every bit of trash thrown my way, and let me remind you all... this is what I LIVE for. So many people come into this business seeking to be the beloved hero, they want to hear the roar of the crowd, want to hear people chant their name, want to be the man that the fans adore. I won't have it. Your opinion doesn't mean a thing. I will still be here, the same as I have ever been. And I will deny you every pleasure you dream of. I will DENY you the glory of your favorite champion. I will not hesitate to lay Urani Whitemist and her championship reign to rest... because she is not on my level. Right now... no one is." Eri Sentarl "I... I don't know." There's no victory celebration... just a puzzled look on Eri's face, the "Fenix Oscuro" image on a nearby monitor as she studies it. "I think I see my name in there. But I don't get it. I don't know why. I don't know who this IS. Why are they after me?" She shakes her head with a frown. "I don't like this. But... I'm not going to hide from it. Screw that. If I ran off to Crystal every time there MIGHT be trouble, I'd never get anywhere. So whatever this is about... I'm gonna stand and fight. You come after me, and I'll defend myself with everything I've got." She lets out a deep breath... then blinks. "Oh, crap, Laenara! Gotta cut this off, I have to go!"

So as we look ahead to August 6th... Sky's The Limit... the card has been FINALIZED. Reports coming out of last night's show are that Laenara will not miss her tag title defense, which means that the card for the biggest show in Phoenix Rising history will hash out like so: Silver Hawk vs. Kellaron Sentarl Tag Tournament Semifinal: Mascara Avispa and The Phantom Thief vs. Kanjriin Tonorian and Mallory Spaulding Tag Tournament Semifinal: The Limbtakers vs. Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki Inspire Championship Match: Listalva Anne Heyward (C) vs. Natasha Clover Eri Sentarl vs. Kaelara Sentarl Top Prospect Championship Match: Blake Dynamite (C) vs. Mallory Spaulding Tag Team Championship Match: The SFG (Laenara Kintelas/Black Dragon) (C) vs. The Rising Storm The Excellent Blades vs. Les Beautes Blondes Firehawk Sentarl vs. Lance Marshall Tag Tournament Final: Winner of Limbtakers/Rin and Fresh vs. Winners of Avispa/Thief vs. Kanjirin/Mallory Women's Championship Match: Shiana Sentarl (C) vs. Anahera World Championship Match: Urani Whitemist (C) vs. Kileas Kintelas Depending on how long the show runs, Excellent Blades vs. LBB may be cut from Sky's The Limit and moved to Proving Ground the week after. This is a fairly tag-heavy show, as it stands, with the Proving Ground tag tournament semifinal, the final, AND the SFG's Tag Team Championship defense, so if any match has to be cut, it'll be Blades/LBB just for time constraints (I really don't want this show to go stupid-long). Every title will be decided. Every champion defending, every last bit of bragging rights rests on THIS show above all others. The ride's finally over. The build-up is done. All that's left now is to get ready for the big one. Urani Whitemist "Kileas Kintelas. I don't believe we've met properly, not since I broke my chains and stepped up to become World Champion. You said something before... about laying my reign to rest. That I am not on your level. You have no idea what you're stepping into, Kileas... but you'll learn quickly enough. After all... there must be a reason your daughter chose to be with me, right? A reason she said that she wanted to spend her life with me. She always did have better judgment than the rest of your family, though, it seems. And you'll discover before long that I'm not someone you can simply push around as you like. I am the Phoenix Rising World Champion. I have done the same thing you did on Monday night. And I will do to you what you've done to so many others. This title will not be yours. I will see to it that you never lay hands on it, as long as I am champion." Shiana Sentarl "It's never easy when you're matched up with family, but that's what happened Monday night. Kae wanted to make her case for rising to the top... and to be honest, I think she's nearly there. But I am far from ready to call it a career. And I'm not about to give up this title without a fight. One-on-one, three-way, four-way, it wouldn't have mattered in the end, because I fully intend to hang on to this... for as long as I can muster. Anahera... you're the only one that's proved herself ready for the shot at the top. You're the one that stood tall when all was said and done. And I expect one of the toughest fights of my career when we meet again. But I won't give in. I won't let go without a fight. If you want to become the Phoenix Rising Women's Champion... you'll have to give me everything you've got." Anahera "This could be the biggest night of my life. Two matches in one night: both of them for championships, one of which I've already tasted before. The SFG is tough... but reeling from two major defeats. Laenara claims she's unhurt, but I know everyone around here far too well by now... you're rattled, Lae, just like Dragon is from being forced to tap out to the Phantom Thief. Neither of you will be 100%. Neither of you will be fighting at your best. The Rising Storm WILL. We will remind everyone that we're the best tag team in the world. Better than the SFG. Better than the Blondes. Better than anyone you could ever name.
And as for Shiana Sentarl... I've beaten you once. I WILL do it again. Sky's The Limit will be the night I am crowned as the best in two divisions... and once that happens, why should I settle for that? The show's name is perfect for my ambitions: the sky really is the limit. I won't rest until I've shown the world that I am, beyond the shadow of a doubt, the greatest to ever set foot in Phoenix Rising... that's far from arrogance. Because I intend to prove it through action... not just boasting. Don't take your eyes off of me... Laenara... Dragon... Shiana. All three of you are just days away from learning that I am for real. That I am Phoenix Rising's very own goddess of war. Kia ora." Natasha Clover "Just a few more days, now. Just a few more days before I finally get what should've been MINE all along. All the struggles, all the times people have tried to screw me out of what belongs to ME, it's all gonna end now. Little miss redhead bitch Rachel can't stop me. This English whore they call a champion can't stop me. Management sure as hell can't stop me. I EARNED this shot, and you're not screwing me out of it! You're not gonna send some little bitch in over her head to attack me in the middle of this one! You're not gonna distract me so some undersized ninja has a chance to knock my head off! The only thing that happens when I step into that ring with the Inspire Champion is that Listalva Anne Heyward is gonna be beaten into a quivering little HEAP, because I am the Devil Hand, I am the strongest woman Proving Ground will ever know, and there's no one, NO ONE alive that can stop me now." Listalva Anne Heyward "Natasha fuggin' Clover... don't get me started. Ya' don't have what it takes. Ya' don't have the spirit of a damn champion in ya'. And yer gonna learn real fast that when ya' back Queen Anne into a corner... I lash out a hell of a lot more than you've ever seen before. You're not gonna get the fun, flirty Heyward you're used to, ya' devil bitch. I'm plannin' to knock you senseless and make you admit... without any doubts... that you ain't on my level."

It's tonight. 7PM PDT or around that time. There's one match at the start that could be considered "pre-show" (Silver Hawk vs. Kellaron) but once that wraps, we're diving right the hell into the meat and not letting up until the results screen for Urani/Kileas pops up.
I'll see everyone there tonight, I'm sure.

Can't wait for this! and neither can one Miss Alger... Ruthless Nicole Alger: I've trained in this stuff since I was a little girl. Sorta have to when your father's the Dangerous One. Think at first he just wanted me to be able to kick anyone's ass who tried to hurt me. But turned out I was pretty good at this, I mean, look at where me and Candace are now! They said we couldn't catch a break, we couldn't win a match for anything, we didn't work as a team, you know, all the usual BS. But I'm still here! She's still here! And now we have our shot! And I can't wait! Hah, I think I sound like Felice right now, I'm almost giddy! But then I remember, we have a job to do. We're here to take one more step forward. We win, we lose, we take that next step. And I think we have a good chance to win. So Rin, Fresh, Avispa, Thief, Gold Freaks, come get some! We're ready!

Elise Pichon
Elise: Le groupe est déçu de ne pouvoir concourir pour un titre aujourd'hui. ..
Elise: However, things are coming along perfectly. Let the lessers contend for what is ours. Hurt themselves, tear themselves apart for such a pitiful accolade as being champions for but a short while. Les Beautes Blondes are reformed, reborn. Together once again to conquer Phoenix Rising.
Elise: I know not of "The Excellent Blades". But from what I gather one rather... short member is preferential towards Suplexes. Well little girl. Vous ne pouvez simplement pas tenir une bougie par rapport à moi. The time is perfect to discard of these dull "blades" anyway.

Well, that was a ride, wasn't it? Sky's The Limit is done, two hours, thirty minutes of absolute chaos and it was definitely a hell of a show. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/294106845Youtube: youtu.be/_YKeuWjZ608Quick Results Silver Hawk def. Kellaron Sentarl Kanjirin Tonorian and Mallory Spaulding def. Mascara Avispa and Phantom Thief Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki def. The Limbtakers Natasha Clover def. Listalva Anne Heyward to become NEW Inspire Champion Kaelara Sentarl def. Eri Sentarl Blake Dynamite def. Mallory Spaulding to retain the Top Prospect Championship The Rising Storm def. The SFG to become NEW Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions The Excellent Blades def. Les Beautes Blondes Lance Marshall def. Firehawk Sentarl Kanjirin Tonorian and Mallory Spaulding def. Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki to become inaugural Proving Ground Tag Team Champions Shiana Sentarl def. Anahera to retain the Women's Championship Urani Whitemist def. Kileas Kintelas to retain the World Championship Write-ups The sudden sharp rise that Silver Hawk has seen continued tonight as he brought down Kellaron, and did so in fairly convincing fashion. Is it the new gear, or just a new attitude? Either way, Silver Hawk is looking strong. A truly valiant effort to try and stop the most dangerous team in the tournament... but it wasn't to be. Mallory spent a lot of time letting Kanjirin do the work, trying to stay fresh for her Top Prospect match later... A heartbreaker for the Limbtakers, who came up short in the semifinals against a team that was just a bit too quick for them. Rin cut off the save late, and sealed the win for her team, moving them to the finals against a team twice their size. Natasha once again showed Listalva that she was no match for the Devil Hand... pounding the British champion ruthlessly, and claiming the Inspire Championship in dominant fashion to a shower of boos from the crowd. (And some scattered cheers.) This was set up as a friendly match between the two sisters. Instead, it turned into an all-out war, both girls putting everything they had into the match... perhaps the bragging rights were much too important to let go of. Kae would send Eri tumbling out of the ring with one Kae Buster, then landed another dead-center in the ring to claim the win over her older sister. This was not the Blake that Mallory Spaulding crushed weeks ago. The champion showed up in a big way here, showing the fire he lacked in their first meeting, roaring at the larger woman with a ferocity that would ultimately keep the Top Prospect title around his waist. The SFG could not weather the Storm a second time. Anahera and Xiu Mei returned to their place on top of the tag division tonight, roaring out of the gate and never letting up for a second on the dangerous pair, culminating in Anahera's familiar Reverse Gory Bomb, and made the Rising Storm the first-ever two-time champions in Phoenix Rising. A showcase of one of Proving Ground's best teams, and one of the community's finest... and it was barely a contest. The Excellent Blades dominated here, Donna Nobel especially showing some impressive talent as she put Elise Pichon away for the win. Truly impressive, and the Blades may yet have a shot at the new Proving Ground tag champs. This is why Firehawk is moving into the tag division. Lance may have been venting some frustrations from last week, and absolutely wiped Firehawk out... and he may have something to say to Kileas soon enough. It seemed inevitable, really. There's little that can be said here... except that Rin put everything she had into this match, and finally couldn't take any more from the two powerhouses. Fresh, meanwhile, didn't come in to help... what happened? Shiana seemed determined not to let herself look vulnerable like the last meeting with Anahera. Perhaps it was fatigue, but Shiana was absolutely dominant here, wiping Anahera out in impressive fashion, and retained the Women's Championship once again, ensuring that Phoenix Rising would still not have any double champions. Kileas was not ready for this match. That was obvious from the bell. Urani absolutely destroyed the challenger here, and brought one thing to light: is there ANYONE that can stop Urani as champion? Urani Whitemist "Kileas, I told you before. As long as I hold this championship, you will NEVER lay hands on it. And now you know beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you cannot take it from me. There is no one in Phoenix Rising that can. Not you, not Lance, -nobody-." Shiana Sentarl "Anahera... you're one of the best in the world right now. But I'm far from ready to call it quits. Your time will come, but it's not tonight. It's not while I hold this championship. You'll come to earn the title you sought to give yourself before tonight, but right now, you're not yet ready to be called a 'goddess of war'. Not until you find another level above what you've reached." Natasha Clover "I told you. I TOLD YOU! Everything's been made RIGHT again! This is the way things should've been from the start before little Rachel shoved her nose where it didn't belong. I should've been the first champion. I should've been the one that carried this from day ONE! But it doesn't matter, not now. It's all been put right. The Devil Hand has taken her place at the top. And that little British whore can go home and cry about it. She was never championship material! She didn't DESERVE this! She didn't EARN this! And I did exactly what I said I'd do... I beat her into a broken heap and took her precious title home with me. You're welcome to come at me again, Heyward, because I admit it: I love beating your ass maybe a little bit too much. If you know what's best for you... you'll stay the hell down and never bother me again. But if you want another shot... I'll gladly pound you into the mat for round three." Blake Dynamite "Not exactly the story you wanted, huh? You got your tag titles, but you didn't get mine. You're not the Top Prospect, because you couldn't step up where it mattered. With that win, I've beaten all four of you. I've made damn sure you all know that no matter what you try to claim, until you get the RESULTS, you're not any better than anyone else on Proving Ground. But I'm willing to give you four one more chance to prove you're better than that. One more chance to get one over on me. You bring your four. I'll bring mine. And you'll get one more shot at greatness."
