Desktop fucking died. Power supply probably crapped out.
end of the year shows are on hold until that's resolved, whether it's "new computer" or "salvage the old one somehow".
sad thing is the laptop would be a fine backup but it somehow manages to run Fire Pro like complete garbage so it is not an option
will update when the problem is resolved
(we may or may not still run Showdown, just not me being the one "running" it, again, will update when plans are set)

Good NewsRan a "house show" today, as a test stream. Six matches, one for each of the feds/shows I run. Verdict: Streaming on this laptop is doable, if not exactly a long-term solution. That said, it's workable enough that I should be able to run New Year's Bash properly here very soon, once I've gotten everything prepared for it. Further news: this is gonna take some doing because this thing does not like to let me do edit work. Or even entrance work. Lot of odd crashes that I wouldn't have experienced on the desktop. Thursday was my hope, but Saturday seems more likely, and it's even possible I wait until next Monday to do this. Hopefully I'll get a new desktop ordered here soon and we'll be up and running again. |
