Another wild Proving Ground top to bottom, with a few stunning results for the night. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1010496238Youtube: youtu.be/PcSQhhydjBgQuick Results SATOMI def. Rin Ryusaki Colt Whitfield and Harley Brooks def. La Familia Nick MacLeod def. Leon Jaskulski Aria Kintelas def. Katherine White The Pride of Scotland def. White Hot Rafael Gallego def. HAYATO Anna Bryant def. Fresh Suzuki to retain the Inspire Championship The Excellent Blades def. Adrenaline Rush to become #1 contenders for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships Golden Tiger def. Sanya Markov to become the NEW Top Prospect Champion Bonus: Priya Mallaya def. Brianna Tierney Write-ups Probably the single hottest match of the night, and of course it'd be the opener. SATOMI was electric here, dishing out some major punishment, though Rin didn't go quietly here, even after being busted open by a series of punches. Still, the Tachibana Special would force the young ninja to give up, and SATOMI comes away with another impressive, hard-fought victory. The newcomers, not having met with much success thus far, joined forces against La Familia in an effort to turn their fortunes around... and, surprisingly, they managed to do just that. Colt and Harley worked well together as a duo, and a huge slam from Colt would score the victory... Colt's first on the show. Leon was met with power at every turn here, with Nick MacLeod not hesitating to throw the young Polish-American around almost at will. Leon certainly made this a fight, but Nick showed he's more than just a powerhouse, countering into a backslide pin to get the victory. Aria Kintelas showed exactly what she's capable of here, after a slightly rough debut last week on Showdown. This was far more her speed... a singles match against Katherine White, who clearly tried to come prepared with her usual tactics, only to be practically broken in half by one of the most brutal spears Proving Ground's ever laid witness to. It was a good night for the Pride of Scotland, bouncing back easily after falling short of their Trios Championship goals. Leona and Corsaria steadily worked over White Hot, and Leona trapped Keiko in one of her signature chokeholds, which Rei tried to break up in spectacular fashion... but her efforts didn't quite work out as she'd hoped, and Keiko was forced to submit. Rafael Gallego was a dynamo in this match. HAYATO tried to keep pace, but Rafael hit all of his usual beats in this one... culminating in the Fenix Dive, quickly becoming a more common sight now that we know he used to be Pajaro de Fuego in the past. Hard-fought right to the end, Anna Bryant was not about to give up her Inspire Championship easily, and she held on through everything Fresh Suzuki threw her way, finally countering into a quick flash pin to win and retain much as her mentor has been often known to do. The Blades have stood at this point before, and they would not be denied the opportunity again. Adrenaline Rush fought hard, but the Blades were at their best tonight, and Donna Nobel would score the win, sending the Blades onward to challenge for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships... and the Yoshida Twins should be deeply worried about them. A stunning upset, by any stretch of the imagination. Golden Tiger struggled to hold up against Sanya Markov two weeks ago, and barely won thanks to the help of the Golden Ambush. Tonight, it was as if he were a different man entirely, dominant and crafty, and landed a pair of suplexes to score the victory and become the new Top Prospect, against all odds. One final match closed the show, debuting another of Valkyrie Pro's recent signings in Priya Mallaya. The Indian wrestler made an instant impression, looking like the hottest thing ever to hit Proving Ground (which may not be far from the truth), and in-between her showing off, there was a definite talent... a brutal leg submission didn't get the win, but a shining hip attack would put Brianna Tierney down for the pinfall.

So, there's a fair bit coming up this week... but let's start with what's coming up on Saturday. Aside from the Blackwood Academy house show for the month, there's going to be the second Valkyrie Pro show happening later that night... and then, on Monday, it's Showdown, with two championship matches and a #1 contender's match. Plenty of action to come, so here we go with the cards for these shows. (house show probably just goes up with no card ahead of time because that's just how i do lately for the Academy) Valkyrie Pro Episode 2 Priya Mallaya vs. Amanda Skye
Iris Coleman vs. Mercedes Ortega
Tina Remington vs. Lily Lyons
Les Beautes Blondes (Angel/Revon/Michelle) vs. eMo (Eddy/Sookie/Penelope)
Brady Quinn vs. Vanessa Saunders, shoot-style
Tomiko Takeda vs. Kylie Anderson
Victoria Fox and Kelly Wolfe vs. Andrea Hawke and Empress Fenix
Sophia Moretti vs. Golden Tigress
Kroll vs. Kiana Yamazaki vs. Kaede Takeda Kicking off the night, we get our second look at the newcomer, Priya Mallaya, who made quite the splash in her debut on Proving Ground this past Monday in a bonus match. She'll square off with Amanda Skye this time around, as she settles onto the Valkyrie Pro roster properly, looking to make an impact right away. The first crossover match of the night pits two rising stars of their respective shows: Evergreen's Iris Coleman takes on Proving Ground's Mercedes Ortega, giving both a major opportunity to show what they're capable of and perhaps raising their stock in their home feds. Mercedes has been red-hot for some time now, but Iris has proven she has what it takes to hang in the land of hardcore... We got a glimpse of Tina Remington a while back as a bonus match after Showdown, and she very quickly established herself, similar yet different to her counterpart, Todd Colton. She'll step into the ring again here against Lily Lyons, in Lily's first singles match since the 50-state tournament last year. It's a trios showdown, pitting perhaps two of the best teams around against each other in a stylistic clash like no other. It's class and beauty from Showdown with Les Beautes Blondes stepping in, taking on the dark, vicious trio that represents Evergreen's eMo... A rare Showdown vs. Evergreen face-off that could prove to be one hell of a match. Brady Quinn had her one and only appearance in the inaugural (and, as it turned out, only) F.U.C.K. event, where she made it to the semifinals of the tournament. With that organization falling quiet, she steps into Valkyrie Pro to face off against HONOO stalwart Vanessa Saunders... we'll see just how well Vanessa re-adjusts to a return to shoot-style (and, outside of that... well, I guess we're gonna find out how compatible the FUCK style is with HONOO? probably not that bad but we will see I suppose) It's powerhouses clashing right here as Tomiko Takeda stares down Kylie Anderson, a match that's absolutely certain to be an all-out hoss-off. Both Tomiko and Kylie have proven to be exceptionally tough in their previous appearances, but only one of them can stand tall at the end of the night here. The former Evergreen Tag Team Champions are looking to bounce back in a big way back in Valkyrie Pro. Victoria Fox and Kelly Wolfe will take on a familiar face... and one not-so-familiar, as Valkyrie Pro founder Andrea Hawke teams up with newcomer Empress Fenix. Fox and Wolfe take on the dual-phoenix threat in what should be a spectacular showing. We haven't seen Sophia Moretti terribly much lately: but Valkyrie Pro is here to provide for those who might have been overlooked recently. Hot on the heels of her Golden Ambush partner scoring the biggest win of his career, Golden Tigress gets the showcase against the Italian Monster, and rumor has it that Tigress has been preparing all month for this one... Closing out the night, a wild three-way contest promises to be chaotic and intense, with a mixture of styles certain to keep things interesting. Kaede Takeda's well-rounded attack will clash with the pure technical prowess of Kiana Yamazaki, and the pure, raw power that Kroll brings to the table... who will close out the night as a winner? Phoenix Rising Showdown Episode 78 Kanjirin Tonorian vs. Todd Colton
The Malevolent Triad (Haruka/Selisha) vs. The GOAT
Mallory Spaulding vs. Natasha Clover
Alexandria Kirison vs. Laenara Kintelas
The Heyward Sisters vs. The Limbtakers
The Black Dragon vs. Yuki Maeda
Celine Chevalier vs. Kyle Anderson for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas vs. Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard, #1 Contender's Match
Shiana Sentarl vs. Eri Sentarl for the Phoenix Rising World Championship It very well may turn out that Kanjirin Tonorian is beginning to seek some personal glory: with a win over the reigning World Champion already, some would argue he's already deserving of a shot at the title. For now, however, it seems he's content to build up his reputation... and his sights seem to be set on Todd Colton, intent on burying Todd's ambitions for Sky's the Limit once and for all. Fenix Oscuro will once again stand at the sidelines as Haruka Matsura and Selisha fight... and the Triad will face a very tough matchup, taking on the GOAT. Kellaron and Victor continue to push their way up the tag team rankings, but it may still be some time before they can get the shot at the champions... Where one member of Pure Gold goes, so tends to go the other. With Kanjirin Tonorian facing off with Todd Colton, Mallory Spaulding finds herself in the ring with Natasha Clover. The Devil Hand doesn't seem likely to back down from this challenge, but Mallory could very easily make her regret attempting to challenge the might of Pure Gold... and Vindication. Alexandria Kirison has found herself in a less-active role lately, but there's still a lot of ferocity left in the Greek veteran, enough that she's stepping into the ring with the former World Champion, Laenara Kintelas. Lae's been quiet for a good while, but it seems like she's back and ready to fight whoever steps up. Two teams reeling from recent unfortunate defeats will now clash in an effort to regain their momentum. Anari Lynn Heyward, fresh off of losing the Pacific Northwest Championship to Kyle Anderson, will be the one to watch here... but never count out the Limbtakers, who have been perhaps one of the most dangerous duos in Phoenix Rising when they're at their best. Yuki Maeda has issued one hell of a challenge. After Eri Sentarl brought the Dragon in against Shiana, Yuki apparently jumped straight after her fellow veteran, demanding a match with the longest-reigning champion in Phoenix Rising's history. But does Yuki have what it takes to topple one of the most dominant forces in the world today? Celine Chevalier is out to ruin someone's day. She'll be Kyle Anderson's first defense, and she's got her sights locked on claiming that title for herself... though if she can beat Kyle, what will Angel Leblanc and Les Beautes Blondes do with Revon Beauregard next in line? Speaking of Revon, he'll team up with his usual partner, Michelle Rochefort, as the LBB duo seeks to become the next challengers for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships... but before the Dynawasps, they'll have to score a win over the intimidating team that is Firehawk and Kileas. Could this finally be the moment that the fierce rivals put it together and reach the top? Or will this be the night everything falls apart? Closing out the night... could it be anything else? A colossal showdown between mother and daughter over the World Championship... as Shiana Sentarl looks to complete a brutal sweep, with the three other members of Vindication defeating Eri over the past three shows. But Eri has been known to step up lately when her back is against the wall... and with the World Championship on the line, the Little Phoenix will almost certainly bring her best into the ring, determined to prove once and for all that she deserves to stand at the top of Phoenix Rising.

Valkyrie Pro came in with a very fun show, and may have set the stage for who the top stars are set to be. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1016416916Youtube: youtu.be/xhp5jAu9gWIQuick Results Priya Mallaya def. Amanda Skye Iris Coleman def. Mercedes Ortega Tina Remington def. Lily Lyons eMo def. Les Beautes Blondes Brady Quinn def. Vanessa Saunders Tomiko Takeda def. Kylie Anderson Empress Fenix and Andrea Hawke def. Victoria Fox and Kelly Wolfe Golden Tigress def. Sophia Moretti Kroll def. Kiana Yamazaki and Kaede Takeda Write-ups Priya Mallaya picked up right where she left off this past Monday, showing the world exactly what she's all about. Where her debut on Proving Ground seemed to give plenty of attention to her hip-attack offense, this match was more calculated, a bit less of a flashy affair, although she did pull Amanda Skye into a kiss on the outside. A vicious backdrop put this one away, and Priya's Valkyrie Pro debut was a successful one. This was a flat-out fight to the finish, with Iris Coleman showing exactly what's kept her in the mix over in Evergreen. She was vicious in this one, and when the match spilled to the outside, she really took command, busting Mercedes open with a series of knees before returning to the ring and choking Mercedes out for the submission. Tina Remington shares plenty of similarities to Todd Colton, and this match put that on display just as well as her Showdown debut. Lily Lyons looked like she was in control, but a horrendous whiff on a kick led to Tina seizing her moment, low-blowing Lily and rolling her up to steal the victory. eMo once again proved that they're one of the best stables in the business: whether singles, tag, or trios action. The Blondes just could not get it going here, and Strawberry Sookie took control with an old familiar standby, wrenching Revon Beauregard into a brutal facelock to score the Evergreen victory... and, thus, giving Evergreen the crossover sweep. The debut of Brady Quinn in Valkyrie Pro proved to be a red-hot fight, the first round punctuated by the two trading strikes back and forth before things got more serious. Quinn eventually began laying in brutal knee strikes to a downed Vanessa, and ultimately forced the kickboxer to submit before more damage was done. Power against power, with Kylie Anderson throwing Tomiko Takeda across (and out of) the ring, but Tomiko came back fired up. These two went all-out right up to the finish until Tomiko hit a crushing chokeslam, and put the Baltimore Bombshell away. Empress Fenix made her Valkyrie Pro debut and very quickly showed what she's made of alongside Andrea Hawke, taking down the former Evergreen Tag Team Champions in impressive fashion. Fenix was absolutely the highlight of the match here, showing off some incredible agility, and she'd pick up the win off of a springboard Firebird Splash. Golden Tigress had a lot to follow up on after Golden Tiger's stunning victory this past Monday. With a new set of gear, though, Tigress lived up to the new and improved Ambush, taking Sophia Moretti to the limit before landing a huge Tigerdriver to pin the Italian Monster. The Golden Ambush could be headed for a huge resurgence on Proving Ground after this... The Roaring Devil was far and away the best woman in this match, displaying her incredible power all throughout the twenty minutes this went along. She put away Kiana Yamazaki with the Devil Destroyer triple bombs, and shortly thereafter, crushed Kaede Takeda with a brutal gutbuster to finish off the night. Kroll looks like she might be the star of Valkyrie Pro right now, after tonight.

Very, very strong episode of Showdown this week, with some wild outcomes and capped off by a fantastic World Championship match. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1018592865Youtube: youtu.be/TWnzAkr7O9wQuick Results Kanjirin Tonorian def. Todd Colton The Malevolent Triad def. The GOAT Natasha Clover def. Mallory Spaulding Laenara Kintelas def. Alexandria Kirison The Limbtakers def. The Heyward Sisters Yuki Maeda def. The Black Dragon Kyle Anderson def. Celine Chevalier to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas def. Les Beautes Blondes to become #1 contenders for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships Eri Sentarl def. Shiana Sentarl to retain the Phoenix Rising World Championship Write-ups Kanjirin Tonorian kicked off the show in dominant fashion, immediately setting the tone for how Vindication wanted things to go. Todd did what he could here, but Kanjirin was absolutely in charge, and never seemed to be in danger as he plowed through the loudmouth technician for the win. A wild, hard-fought tag match from start to finish, but the decisive factor would be Fenix Oscuro's presence at ringside. Twice, her interference helped save the match for the Triad, and ultimately, the openings gave Haruka Matsura time to line everything up... and a Death From Above scored the pinfall victory. Mallory Spaulding had this handled, or so it seemed. All she had to do was keep up what she'd been doing, and she could put Natasha away without much trouble. Instead, the Devil Hand initiated a roaring comeback, refusing to let Mallory bully her in the ring, and Pummelled Mallory for the victory, stunning the Pure Gold heavyweight. Dominance from the former World Champion, who seems intent on fighting her way back towards the top. Alexandria Kirison couldn't get it going here, and Laenara just crushed her with a Bloody Cross. This might have been one of the most efficient matches the Limbtakers have ever had. Candace was absolutely locked in with her submissions, and RNA sealed the deal with a vicious piledriver deep in the Limbtakers' own corner, scoring a major victory and getting the duo back on track. Yuki Maeda boldly challenged the Dragon, and many couldn't believe that she would dare to take that sort of a shot against one of the most dominant wrestlers in all of Phoenix Rising. At the end of the night, nobody's questioning it anymore. Yuki Maeda went face-to-face with the Black Dragon, brawled with her on the outside, came out ahead by every metric... and then, did what few have ever accomplished and made Dragon tap out to the Maeda Family Special, putting the devastating leglock easily on par with Laenara's Dragonslayer Cavernaria. Not even sporting the French colors could get Celine Chevalier into this match, as Kyle Anderson went all-out in this one, delivering a full-force Five Star Combination that didn't quite seal it... but stealing Celine's signature Falcon Arrow did, giving Kyle the first defense of his reign. Firehawk and Kileas could have finally figured things out as a team. They crushed the LBB duo here, never letting Michelle and Revon get into the match properly, and Firehawk finished the job with a Phoenix Dive to ensure a face-off with the Dynawasps in two weeks... for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships. Could Firehawk and Kileas both come out of Showdown #79 with their third tag title reign? It took nearly everything both women had. Throwing all they had into this match, trying to prove they were better than the gauntlet matches showed them to be leading up to this night. But Eri finally showed her spirit in defense of the World Championship, weathering Shiana's Romero variation, and hit a Phoenix Splash to retain the title... and perhaps put the future of Vindication in question.

Better late than never in getting this one up. American Frontier Wrestling Episode 7 Mason Hayes vs. Terra Marshall
Riley Montgomery vs. Allison Avery vs Maya Minh Sai
Carmen Latour vs. Georgia Eagles
Wanted: DOA vs. Nathan Haines and Ryan Donovan for the AFW Tag Team Championships
Cassandra Marshall vs. Laura Tate
Johnny Rocket vs. Dominic Stanton
Jackson Shaw, Ian Robinson and Kasey Ryder vs. The Foundation for the Phoenix Rising Trios Championships
Manny Ramos vs. Lance Marshall for the Spirit of Texas Championship The youngest of the Marshall family kicks off the night, taking on the big man, Mason Hayes. We've seen Terra showing flashes of brilliance as a singles wrestler, and this could be a chance for her to have a breakout moment, but Mason's shown he's more than capable of shutting down anyone who gets in his way. Riley Montgomery is back in the ring after suffering a vicious injury at the hands of Georgia Eagles' Jackhammer. She's back on her feet, and stepping into what's bound to be a wild three-way contest, with Allison Avery and Maya Minh Sai both vying to come out on top... but could Riley be back to form in her first match back? Carmen Latour is the next one to step up against Georgia Eagles, aiming to beat power with speed. We've seen just how good the Cajun Spitfire really is in recent months, but does she really have it in her to take down one of the biggest and baddest in AFW? It's somewhat early on the card, but the AFW Tag Team Championships are on the line, with Nathan Haines and Ryan Donovan making their first defense of the titles against Wanted: DOA. No doubt that Kass and Blanche will be gunning for the top spot in the AFW tag division right here... after a rough start in the promotion, they've been red-hot lately, and could be on the verge of a huge victory. The second match for the Marshall family sees Cassandra taking on Laura Tate, and one should not even consider the idea that Cassandra might be overpowered. While Laura's been solid lately, Cassandra has far more experience and has proven, time and time again, that she's more than capable of standing up to anyone and everyone in the ring. Laura's tag partner, Dominic Stanton, steps up immediately after to take on none other than Johnny Rocket, who's looking to bounce back after a couple of rough showings. Dominic, though, might just be out to score another big win over a veteran talent... The Trios Championship will see its first-ever defense right here, as the inaugural champions, the Foundation, seek to continue something of a miracle run against a very, very tough trio. Jackson Shaw and Ian Robinson have already proven themselves to be a tough tag team, and with the addition of Kasey Ryder, this could be a very, very tough match. Manny Ramos has a chance for redemption. This won't be the first time he's faced Lance Marshall, having attempted to defend the Pacific Northwest Championship against Lance on the inaugural AFW show, a match that Lance won and quickly established the Spirit of Texas Championship as a result. Now Ramos seeks to reclaim what he lost... and although the title is now in a different form, its importance is every bit as high as it ever was. This one could be a war... but Lance has proven, time and time again, that he has more than earned his place at the top of AFW, silencing anyone who believes he's taken his place simply by being the man in charge.

Manny Ramos: "... So, Lance. Here we are again.
... It's been, what, six, seven months since the last time we were head to head, right? No tag partners, no third men or anything like that to make things complicated.
And in that time, I've been operating on spite! Just... spite. Because for all this time, it felt like you were belittling me. And after what you did to Johnny Rocket, it felt like you were belittling junior heavyweights all over.
But this month... I'm not going to let that spite get me; and I'm not going to let anyone cheapen victory or defeat either. I'm going into that ring with a clear mind. A clear purpose. Not only to take a belt that I kept calling 'mine,' but more than anything, to earn respect. Respect from you, respect from the people in the back, respect from the crowd... And ultimately, respect for everyone like me, the guys who want to reach the top, even if the guys around them tower over them.
Is this a change of heart for me? Heh, probably not. I can say that I'm no hero, of course I'm not. These past six months, I've been angry, vindictive, arrogant. A lot of people see me as nothing but an asshole with a bad attitude. But while I'm here in AFW, at least for tomorrow night, I intend to live up to that other name of mine. My real name, I guess, to people who love wrestling...
And then, after we settle our differences in that ring, I'm taking that belt. Not 'my' belt, not the 'Pacific Northwest Championship,' but rather the Spirit of Texas Championship! Not as a prize to take back north, but to defend with my life, even if I end up wearing my own sweat, tears, and blood every month."

A wild show with first-ever defenses of two different championships... who rose to the occasion tonight? Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1021987680Youtube: youtu.be/oThgVDECLMoQuick Results Terra Marshall def. Mason Hayes Allison Avery def. Maya Minh Sai and Riley Montgomery Georgia Eagles def. Carmen Latour Nathan Haines and Ryan Donovan def. Wanted: DOA to retain the AFW Tag Team Championships Laura Tate def. Cassandra Marshall Dominic Stanton def. Johnny Rocket The Foundation def. Jackson Shaw, Ian Robinson and Kasey Ryder to retain the Phoenix Rising Trios Championships Lance Marshall def. Manny Ramos to retain the Spirit of Texas Championship Write-ups Terra Marshall might just be on the verge of her breakout moment in AFW. This was a thoroughly dominant performance against Mason Hayes, as Terra busted the big man open and laid waste for the entire match, a final chokeslam making sure that AFW would recognize her as perhaps one of its future cornerstones. It took a while to get to that point, but Allison Avery finally made one thing very clear: the Lariat Queen of Little Rock wants her shot at the top, and after plowing through both Maya Minh Sai and Riley Montgomery with the Little Rock Bottom, Allison might just wind up getting exactly what she wants out of the deal. Georgia Eagles was not about to let herself be beaten by speed and agility again here. And while Carmen Latour aimed to keep up a blistering pace, Georgia eventually brought her power to bear against the Cajun Spitfire, and wiped her out with a brutal deadlift German suplex, ensuring Georgia will be in the conversation next month for being the #1 contender. The first championship match of the night was every bit as hard-fought as the others, with Nathan Haines and Ryan Donovan intent on remaining the champions after only having just won the titles. Their first defense against Wanted: DOA was a successful one, with Donovan showing some well-practiced technique to wrench Kass into an armlock counter, and the champions retained after a hard-fought battle. Laura Tate might be the youngest member of the AFW roster, but that hasn't stopped her from being an outright bully to the rest of the field. That was absolutely the case here against Cassandra Marshall, as Laura completely overpowered her, eventually chokeslamming Cassandra and pinning her in arrogant fashion. There's no doubt about it: this was a signature victory for Dominic Stanton, who scored a win over the always-incredible Johnny Rocket. Stanton didn't do anything special... just wrestled the match he wanted and forced Rocket to his own pace, taking the win after a vicious backbreaker. The Foundation, having fought through three of the toughest trios around just to win the titles, were faced with another stiff challenge from their AFW opponents here. And one would be forgiven for thinking that their miracle run couldn't possibly keep going. But Emma, Syringa and Sung Moon haven't come this far just to lose in their first defense. This was an incredible match, back-and-forth clear up to the end, but Emma Travers would seal the win and the successful defense with an Exploder late in the match, pinning rookie Kasey Ryder to keep the Foundation rolling along... the top trio in all of the Phoenix Rising organization. This was not a performance that Lance Marshall can easily dismiss. Manny Ramos got off to a slow start, but as the match went on, he came roaring back into the fight, intent on forcing Lance to meet him as an equal... and he absolutely succeeded on that front. A late submission looked like it might finally dethrone Lance, but the champion escaped, landed one final crushing Cattle Drive, and managed to retain his title... though not without being forced to show respect to the man who's been after his head since AFW opened its doors. Terra Marshall "Look... I know what the original plan for next month's show was, I know you wanted all of us who won our matches together all in one go. But screw that. I don't want anyone getting in my way, I'm getting my hands on you, Laura, I'm getting you one-on-one! You think you can come out here, treat MY family like that out there? Throw my sister around the ring like she's nothing to you? Treat her like she's beneath you? Fuck you, Laura, I'm going to show you exactly what sort of mistake you made tonight! You don't want to respect the Marshall name, that's fine... I'll just have to beat the respect into you myself!" Lance Marshall "You wanted my respect. My recognition. You wanted to be seen as an equal, not just a junior, a wrestler capable of standin' in that ring with the best that AFW's got.
Well, ya' damn well got it. You pushed me harder than anyone, anyone has since we opened this place up. It takes a lot to get to that point, anyone can see that over the past few months. And yeah. I've looked past every challenger put in my way from day one. Because I knew I was going to come out on top. Because I knew, junior, heavy, didn't damn well matter, because they were comin' into the ring with Lance Marshall... and my history, for the most part, speaks for itself.
You might've just changed that, Ramos. Opened my eyes to how complacent a man can get when he's at the top. One single moment... and the whole thing crumbles.
I ain't lookin' past you, or anyone else. Not anymore."

Manny Ramos"After all this time, in the end, I still lost... Tch!
But, it's fine... I'm not happy I lost, but I'm also not upset, if that makes any sense. You get it, right? That feeling of accomplishment even in failure. When I was brought in for the big debut of AFW, this was the kind of match I wanted. And after I saw the last title match, it was the one I wanted - not necessarily as a win, but as a statement made for everyone else who feels overlooked. And pushing Lance to the limit, getting him so close to tapping out, I think I made that statement loud and clear.
Once and for all, I've made my name known and remembered in this company - not just as a man behind a mask, as Mascara Avispa, but as the guy under that mask. Of all his opponents so far, I'm the guy who came closer than anyone else to taking that belt off of Lance Marshall's waist. Whoever comes up next against him better step it up - because not only have I set the bar higher for the next person up to the plate, but he's also not gonna take the next guy lightly, whether it's another junior heavyweight, or one of the other big guys who hold the gold in this company. It's Allison Avery getting the next shot, right? She might be a good match for him stylistically, yeah? Good luck with taking him down. I've seen your lariat almost take other ladies' and men's heads off, but you'll probably want to cut him off at the knees first. Maybe literally, if you wanna actually hit him with one of those. He's got a strong enough neck, but it seems like everyone who's gotten a decisive win against him has managed to get him that way.
And whatever happens, you know I'm going to be clawing my way back up to the top. Life might be short, but not so short that I'm never getting another chance. I've done it once and I'll do it again. And next time, next time, things will be different...!"

It's Proving Ground once again coming up on Monday, with a big-time tag title defense, along with plenty of others aiming to prove themselves as the build to Sky's the Limit begins in earnest. Proving Ground Episode 79 HAYATO vs. Leon Jaskulski
Aria Kintelas vs. SATOMI
White Hot vs. Adrenaline Rush
Reina del Tigre vs. Gabriela Gallego
Rafael Gallego vs. Nick MacLeod
Harley Brooks and Colt Whitfield vs. The Pride of Scotland
Golden Tigress vs. Mercedes Ortega
Chico Con Carne vs. Riccardo De Luca
The Excellent Blades vs. The Yoshida Twins for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships Leon Jaskulski may not have a terribly amazing record as of yet, but he's definitely looked solid since his Proving Ground debut. Still, HAYATO isn't someone that tends to take his opponents lightly... not even relative newcomers. Watch for HAYATO to set the pace early in this one. Aria Kintelas had a fantastic debut last Proving Ground, crushing Katherine White and making a major statement. This, however, won't be nearly the potential mismatch that her debut match was. SATOMI remains one of Proving Ground's top talents, and with her stepping up, there's little doubt that Aria will be tested from here on out against the best of the best in the Inspire Division. White Hot gets another chance to prove themselves as they tackle the team that came so close to earning the #1 contender spot two weeks ago. Adrenaline Rush are looking to bounce back after their defeat against the Excellent Blades, and get back on their hot streak... perhaps looking to earn a shot at Sky's the Limit. But only one team can come out on top here. The Golden Ambush are once again re-doubling their efforts to take over every division on Proving Ground, and it starts on this very show. Reina del Tigre has her sights set on reclaiming the Inspire Championship, but the first major obstacle in her path is none other than Gabriela Gallego... who seems more than intent on earning her way to the top as well. Nick MacLeod has quickly become one of Proving Ground's top talents, a constant presence on the card and a likely candidate to challenge for the Top Prospect Championship if he can keep up his momentum. But Rafael Gallego seems intent on blocking that path to the top... and Rafael could easily stake his claim with a win right here. The fledgling tag team of Harley Brooks and Colt Whitfield scored their first victory last show, but this one could be a serious test for the rookie team. They may have the size advantage over the duo of Leona and Corsaria, but we've seen time and time again how Leona's technique and Corsaria's agility can carry them to victories over nearly any opponent. Golden Tigress also has her sights on the Inspire Championship... and it may very well turn out that both Tigress and Reina del Tigre find themselves in contention before long. But Mercedes Ortega, quietly putting together a hell of a run so far in her young career, could be achingly close to her breakout moment... and a win against Tigress could propel her to the very top. This will be a battle of pure speed and agility... a potential show-stealer, without a doubt, an electric showdown between two of the very best. Chico Con Carne is no stranger to the upper echelons of Proving Ground, and Riccardo De Luca aims to match that amazing record, returning to singles competition in the hopes of maybe challenging for the Top Prospect Championship... Capping off the night, the Excellent Blades challenge once again for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships that have eluded her time and time again... and this could be the perfect moment for them to come up big. The Yoshida Twins, although managing to topple the Rising Storm to win the titles, are still a young duo... inexperienced, though talented, they'll have the toughest test of their careers in this match, with the Blades perhaps poised for the biggest win they've ever had on Proving Ground.

Proving Ground went at a very, very brisk pace tonight, and many of the big matches lived up to expectations. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1026598424Youtube: youtu.be/CoEO0Sw59U8Quick Results Leon Jaskulski def. HAYATO SATOMI def. Aria Kintelas White Hot def. Adrenaline Rush Reina del Tigre def. Gabriela Gallego Rafael Gallego def. Nick MacLeod Harley Brooks and Colt Whitfield def. The Pride of Scotland Golden Tigress def. Mercedes Ortega Riccardo De Luca def. Chico Con Carne The Yoshida Twins def. The Excellent Blades to retain the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships Bonus Match: Fresh Suzuki def. Calista Vargas Write-ups Leon Jaskulski finally put the pieces together, and after an extended brawl on the outside, he absolutely wiped the floor with HAYATO, crushing him with one last powerbomb to pick up a much-needed victory and proving he belongs among the Proving Ground roster. Aria Kintelas ran into a much tougher opponent this week in SATOMI, and the Proving Ground mainstay gave her a proper welcome to the show. Aria did what she could here, but SATOMI was definitely on another level... leaving Aria to think about how she moves on from this one. White Hot is back on track to make their way up the division rankings. A very, very hard-fought match between two of Proving Ground's best teams, but Keiko Maeda would finally get this one with the Maeda family's signature combo: the sweeping lariat into the Maeda Lock, giving White Hot a huge victory. Gabriela did her best to keep pace, but Reina del Tigre quickly showed why she's a former Inspire Champion, pushing this match hard and coming away with a fast-paced victory, making one thing clear: the Ambush is looking to go back on top. Rafael's speed served him much better than his sister's, staying one step ahead of Nick MacLeod with ease, and though the Scottish powerhouse seemed to be finding his wind near the end, Rafael would score the victory with a vicious pin that ensured the Gallegos would come away with one win tonight. Attempting to fight Leona on the mat was a losing proposition for the newcomers: Colt Whitfield seemed to know that right from the start, staying mostly away from it with the Scottish shooter. Corsaria, however, was an easy target for Colt's matwork, and he shifted into a figure four leglock to force a tapout... the rookie team looking very, very strong all of a sudden. Golden Tigress didn't let go of this match for a second. Mercedes did her best, landing one of her big moves, but Tigress was simply too much tonight, laying out Mercedes with a Superkick followed by a standing SSP to give the Ambush a pair of victories on the night... the Ambush could very well be in line to be Proving Ground's top force before long. What more could you expect from two of the best high-flyers going today? Chico and Riccardo were electric from bell to bell, keeping up an absolutely insane pace throughout, and after going through nearly everything in their arsenal... what ended this was a submission hold out of nowhere by Riccardo, a move that we've not seen from him until tonight. It was certainly effective, though, giving him the win and perhaps setting the stage for him to try and become #1 contender. What is it going to take for the Excellent Blades to finally get their due? The Yoshidas were definitely not the favored team... in terms of odds and fan support, with most wanting to see the Blades finally get their win and the tag titles. But it wasn't to be... after everything, Naoko trapped Donna Nobel in a brutal leglock, and once again the Blades are turned away at the very end. With so many disappointed, Fresh Suzuki and Calista Vargas came along to end the show on a much higher note. And they absolutely did that: delivering yet another incredible performance on the night, with Fresh pulling ahead after kicking out of the Stormbreaker, and eventually landing the 0-5-4 to pick up the win.

It's Showdown coming up this Monday, and there's a whole lot to get through this week... Phoenix Rising Showdown Episode 79 Victor Kintelas vs. Markos Andreas
The Limbtakers vs. The Malevolent Triad
Telan Kintelas vs. Hugo Dirksen
Alexandria Kirison vs. Rachel White
Michelle Rochefort vs. Laenara Kintelas
Todd Colton vs. Kellaron Sentarl
Silver Hawk and Kaelara Sentarl vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Angel and Celine)
Revon Beauregard vs. Kyle Anderson for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas vs. The Dynawasps for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships Kicking off the night, there's nothing special to this one... no history, no deep divide. Just two of the best in the Pacific Northwest Division squaring off as Victor Kintelas seeks a singles victory over Markos Andreas. There's plenty to look forward to in this one... as we know, openers around here can often steal the show. The Limbtakers are looking to keep their momentum hot. With their win over the Heyward sisters last time out, Candace and RNA are now setting their sights on the equally-victorious Malevolent Triad... and no doubt, this may turn out to be a brutal match between two of the top teams on Showdown. And no doubt, Fenix Oscuro will make her presence felt in this one once again... Telan Kintelas has his eyes on the top once again. Seeking to push his way up the Pacific Northwest rankings, he turns his attention towards Hugo Dirksen... but the Dutchman isn't likely to back down from the challenge, and could halt Telan's momentum right here and now. Alexandria Kirison has found 2021 to be a bit of a rough year. She's aiming to change that here against Rachel White... to little surprise, Rachel's being set up to fail here, though we've seen how that can backfire in a hurry. But Alex could very easily make this a completely one-sided affair... Laenara Kintelas appears to be fully active once again, and as Les Beautes Blondes all have matches booked for this show, it's Michelle Rochefort that draws her as an opponent. The former World Champion could be trying to set herself up for another shot at the title she lost... but the road is a long, difficult one, without a doubt. The other half of the GOAT won't be idle this week, as Todd Colton once again brings his frustrations with the Sentarl family to the forefront. Kellaron Sentarl will look to once again silence the arrogant technician, while Todd fights for some level of respect... You're not seeing things: this is a team that's actually happening. Angel Leblanc and her personal knight, Celine Chevalier, will square off with the surprise duo consisting of Silver Hawk and Kaelara Sentarl... with Kae's usual partner busy as World Champion, she finds herself turning to another potential ally to take on Les Beautes Blondes, and no doubt these two will make this match a hell of an experience. The final LBB match of the night sees Revon Beauregard getting a shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship... and good luck to him, because he's going up against Five Star Kyle. Kyle Anderson remains one of the top talents in the entire Phoenix Rising organization... and this will not be an easy match for Revon. Capping off the night, a title defense that's been hotly anticipated for some time now. The incredible duo, seemingly impossible, of Firehawk and Kileas, stepping into the ring with the seemingly-unbeatable Dynawasps. Blake and Avispa have been easily the best team in all of Phoenix Rising, and not even the top two names on the roster might be capable of ending this reign. In addition: what will be the fallout for Vindication after Shiana failed to capture the World Championship? How far can the tensions go before they snap? And just where will it leave the faction when the dust has settled?

Well, lemme tell you, this show had some major try-hard effort behind it, and it damn well paid off. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1034466435Youtube: youtu.be/zpbmW3YTMFUQuick Results Markos Andreas def. Victor Kintelas The Malevolent Triad def. The Limbtakers Telan Kintelas def. Hugo Dirksen Alexandria Kirison def. Rachel White Shiana Sentarl and Yuki Maeda (Vindication) def. Pure Gold Laenara Kintelas def. Michelle Rochefort Kellaron Sentarl def. Todd Colton Kaelara Sentarl and Silver Hawk def. Les Beautes Blondes Kyle Anderson def. Revon Beauregard to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Firehawk Sentarl and Kileas Kintelas def. the Dynawasps to become the NEW Phoenix Rising Tag Team Champions Write-ups Kicked off the night with a typical Phoenix Rising opener: AKA, a match that on any other night could've stolen the show. Victor and Markos went head-on with each other, and Markos scored a surprising victory this time, coming out ahead with an Exploder to score the pinfall victory. After this match, we got a glimpse backstage, where a ferocious argument had broken out amongst Vindication... and led to Pure Gold turning their backs on the veterans, breaking the stable in half. A new set of gear for Candace, as the Limbtakers went into an all-out brawl with the Triad here, and while the Limbtakers were definitely fired up, a late shot from Haruka busted RNA open, and a brutal submission hold from Selisha led to the referee waving off the match in the Triad's favor. Hugo Dirksen also arrived with a new set of gear (and a beard), but Telan Kintelas showed absolutely no restraint in this one, reminding everyone that he's one of the top powerhouses in Phoenix Rising, and will not be denied. He was an absolutely destructive force here, and though Hugo tried to wear him down with his signature armwork, a snap powerbomb put an end to his night. The transformation of Alexandria Kirison was much more stark than it was for Candace or Hugo. Not only did she arrive to the ring with a brand-new set of gear and a new look, but she also broke out plenty of new moves in her arsenal, absolutely laying waste to Rachel White over the course of the match with stiff strikes, culminating in an absolutely brutal spinning kick that seemingly knocked Rachel out cold. Set up earlier in the night after the argument, Pure Gold did their best to overpower the veterans of Vindication... but Yuki's power and cunning, combined with Shiana's surprising resilience, led to an incredible victory for the older team, Shiana laying out Kanjirin with a superkick to score the pinfall victory. After the match, she practically chased Pure Gold out of the ring and up the ramp, yelling at the duo all the while... Leaving Yuki wide open for an ambush from the Black Dragon, who savagely attacked Yuki out of vengeance for her loss two weeks ago. Dragon made it very clear: at Sky's the Limit, she's demanding a rematch with Yuki, and after that... she'll set her sights on the World Championship again, intent on destroying the Little Phoenix if she's still champion after that... Michelle Rochefort gave this one hell of a shot, going up against one of the best talents in Phoenix Rising today, but Laenara Kintelas was on top of her game tonight, showing a level of viciousness and ferocity that we've not seen from her since she held the World Championship. Could she be on her way back towards the top? Is the World Championship in her crosshairs again, just like Dragon? And how big is the target on Eri's back right now? Todd Colton was in the driver's seat. All he needed to do was stay focused and finish the match. Instead, he got cocky... taunting Kellaron and daring him to try something. Well, Kellaron damn well did that, cranking Todd into his signature Omoplata Crossface, and just like that, a sure-fire win turned into a defeat for Todd. A fledgling tag team, but an effective one, without a doubt: Silver Hawk and Kaelara Sentarl made their debut as a duo, and it looked like they were in sync all night, working together incredibly well, setting the stage for a Kae Buster that put Celine Chevalier down. We're certain to see more of this team in the near future, without a doubt... could they already be in consideration to go to Sky's the Limit? The match went on for a long while, but make no mistake, Kyle Anderson was absolutely in charge of this match from start to finish. He never seemed willing to let Revon get anything in against him, and ultimately, stopped screwing around to hit a brutal Baltimore Bomb to retain the title. Perhaps one of the best tag matches in quite a long time on Phoenix Rising programming, this match was unbelievable throughout. The Dynawasps were on top of everything, working double-teams at every turn, throwing everything they could at the faces of Phoenix Rising... and they got everything right back in response, as Firehawk and Kileas refused to back down, intent on taking the tag titles for themselves. A huge Doomsday-style shoulder block set the stage for Kileas to land a Tigerdriver, and the incredible match came to an end with the new tag team champions... the third time for both men, although with different partners in the past. Blake Dynamite "I should be upset, angry... disappointed. Y'know? Coming all this way as champions but not quite making it to the big show with the belts. But... all right, look.
I've got a lot to talk about today. I know you don't hear from me terribly often, I let my actions speak for me out in the ring, but I can't really do that right now... because for once, I've got a lot to say.
For the longest time, I didn't really have the huge ambition that so many people tend to have when they get into this line of work. I figure, I'll make my way up, find my ceiling, be the best I can be. But something's become really clear since the new year started. Something that's stood out to me and made it very, very clear to me how wrong I was all this time.
On any given night, I can step into that ring, I can go out there across from anyone, anyone in the world... and you can bet that I've got not just a chance of beating them, but I can almost always assure that I'm capable of getting the job done. I've been here in Phoenix Rising from Day One. I've been at or near the top of every roster I've ever been a part of. I've been one-half of one of the best tag teams Phoenix Rising's ever laid eyes on. I've been at the highest level for three years now, and nobody, nobody can deny that.
I'm through standing back in the shadows watching everyone else go out there ahead of me. I'm done watching other people take the opportunities that I've let slip past me. I'm done letting myself stay so damn complacent about my place in Phoenix Rising.
You've heard people make big claims about what they're wanting, what they have planned for this year, demands they're making, promises they're determined to keep.
So here's my promise. In just a couple of months, Phoenix Rising is holding a big-time event... the Phoenix Rising World Cup. And I'm going to be a part of that, representing Canada. The prize? A shot at the World Championship, a match on the final night of the Grand Ascension. If you'll forgive me, this time... for being just a little selfish for once in my career... I intend to win the World Cup. I will win the World Cup. I will go on to challenge for the World Championship, and I will win that title, because on any given night, there is NOBODY I can't beat between those ropes.
Anyone else that wants to argue with me, you're welcome to try and stop me, to stand in my way.
And I'll remind you that I'm Blake Dynamite. The single most explosive man in all of Phoenix Rising."

With all that went into Monday's show, it's taken a bit to get re-focused on Evergreen tomorrow night. But here we go. Evergreen Federation Wrestling Episode 44 Julian Shepard vs. Penelope Lea
Andrea Hawke vs. Babe Ruthless
Kantar vs. Logan Axelrod
Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito vs. The Sheridan Brothers
Iris Coleman vs. KyO
Ash Defiant vs. Veronika Armstrong
Strawberry Sookie vs. Sabrina
El Verde vs. The Big Boys, #1 Contender's match
Freya O'Malley vs. Jennifer Hunter, #1 Contender's match Julian Shepard aims to get back towards the top of Evergreen, coming off of a win over Eddy Introspect. Now he finds himself against another eMo member in Penelope Lea... and no doubt the group will be looking to avenge that defeat and push themselves back into contention in turn. Andrea Hawke is looking to bounce back after a rough outing last Evergreen, falling to Jennifer Hunter in a wild brawl. Now she steps in against Babe Ruthless, who's sure to make this a tough night once again for the Valkyrie Pro founder. It's allllll about the power. Kantar and Logan Axelrod are guaranteed to simply go out and brawl. Call it a Big E Special? You know how it is. One night before the Sheridan Brothers once again cross paths with PEWA's Most Hated, they square off against an Evergreen staple, as Oakland's Most Metal look to silence the Sheridans once again. Rebecca and Sayaka will no doubt put the brothers through their paces, as usual... Iris Coleman shut down Sabrina at last month's Evergreen, bringing her down after a stunningly drawn-out fight. Now KyO seems intent on avenging that loss himself, and getting back on track after failing to bring down Elly Blackwood despite putting up one hell of a fight. Veronika Armstrong clashes with Ash Defiant in a match guaranteed to be one of the most ferocious brawls of the night. There isn't much more to be said here... just a fight to the finish between two of Evergreen's best, and no doubt Ash may have her eyes on a future shot at the Evergreen Championship. Sabrina appears to be going after some major challenges as of late, as she steps into the ring with the former Evergreen Champion and leader of eMo, Strawberry Sookie. This could prove to be Sabrina's finest moment... or an absolute disaster. Either way... this could be a hell of a match. Two teams poised to challenge maybe one of the most insurmountable teams in Evergreen's history. El Verde, no strange to the top, take on the Big Boys, Pete and Skidmark... and a better example of power vs. speed is hard to find in Evergreen. But no matter who wins here, the champions will be waiting next month... Argent and Binak almost certain to make the challengers regret taking their shot. Finally, Freya O'Malley and Jennifer Hunter square off as they look to be Elly Blackwood's next challenger. Freya is determined to finally take her shot... having already gotten a victory over Elly in the past, she's certain that she can do it again. But Jennifer won't just roll over for the 50-State Tournament champion... and Freya's going to have to work her hardest to pull this one off.

A whole lot of developments out of this month's Evergreen... such as the fact that this was Episode 45, GET IT TOGETHER ALREADY Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1037718508Youtube: youtu.be/r0jv01uuX40Quick Results Julian Shepard def. Penelope Lea Babe Ruthless def. Andrea Hawke Logan Axelrod def. Kantar The Sheridan Brothers def. Oakland's Most Metal KyO def. Iris Coleman Veronika Armstrong def. Ash Defiant Strawberry Sookie def. Sabrina The Big Boys def. El Verde Jennifer Hunter def. Freya O'Malley Bonus: Tasharun (!) def. Mercy Devine Write-ups Julian definitely took a bit of a beating in this match, but Penelope Lea couldn't quite seal the deal... and after a brawl on the outside, Julian found his footing again, landing a crushing Destino on a chair in the ring, and scored a stunning victory to open up the show. Andrea Hawke never quite got out of the starting gates here, as Babe Ruthless simply dismantled her, finishing the job with a crushing slam that took the last shreds of fight out of the Valkyrie Pro founder. It's not clear how much longer Hawke might stay with Evergreen if this keeps up... It certainly lived up to expectations as two of the biggest men in Evergreen clashed, and Kantar never quite started to hit his biggest moves before Logan brought him down. Quite simply put, this was one of Logan Axelrod's best showings since he arrived in Evergreen, and he may have his eyes on bigger fare soon. The Sheridans got a much-needed victory ahead of their appearance in PEWA tomorrow night... keeping pace with Rebecca and Sayaka, and although Vincent hit a finisher and proceeded to pin the wrong person, he somehow still came away with the victory. Even in victory, the Sheridans look like fools. KyO's goals in this match were clearly two-fold: first, avenge Sabrina's loss to Iris last month. Second, bounce back from a frustrating loss of his own to Elly Blackwood. He definitely managed both, gutting out a hard-fought win over Iris here, in what was easily the highlight match of the first half of the show. Ash Defiant's greatest enemy was herself in this match, pushing herself much too hard at certain points until she was left trying to catch her breath... an opening that Veronika Armstrong exploited immediately, hitting a Mercykiller to score the pinfall and take home a very important win. This was Sabrina's second time facing off against Strawberry Sookie, and this time, there were no championships on the line, nothing but bragging rights and a potential consideration for a title shot down the road. And Sabrina made this one a fight, make no mistake... but Sookie, as she's done so often, turned this into a brutal, violent affair with a brawl on the outside, and ultimately forced a bloodied Sabrina to tap out to the all-too-familiar facelock. Give credit to El Evergringo in this match. After Verde was left frozen for "Reasons we choose not to explain or understand", he tried to take on the Big Boys alone... and made a decent fight of it until finally getting dropped by Concrete Pete, setting up maybe the biggest tag title match in Evergreen's history. Literally. (Can we afford the reinforcements that ring is going to need for this match? Can we talk to Golden Touch about how they did it for the Big Boy Bash last year?) Let's be honest, this was match of the night. Freya and Jennifer went to war over the coveted #1 contender's spot, fighting to the finish as Freya tried to overpower and out-speed Jennifer, all while Hunter fought for every submission attempt she could muster. And it was that submission game that kept her in the fight and ultimately scored her a tapout from Freya, overcoming the Giant-Slayer and setting her on a collision course with Elly Blackwood. There's just one problem. After what seemed to be some sort of backstage commotion, Mercy Devine stormed down to the ring in her gear... leaving Jennifer Hunter to spill to the outside and observe, wondering what the hell was happening. The music that played next... was unfamiliar. But the face that appeared after a fair delay... that was all too familiar, as Tasharun made his first appearance in months, clearly no longer content to be forced onto the sidelines after taking out Kevin Royce. The two fought in a violent brawl until Tasharun landed a Demon's Wrath, seemingly knocking the Evergreen boss out cold... what does this mean for Evergreen's future?

A fair bit of stuff to get through here, but let's start with Monday's Proving Ground. Proving Ground Episode 80 Leona Sterling vs. Aria Kintelas
White Hot vs. La Familia
Rafael Gallego vs. HAYATO
Gabriela Gallego vs. Felice Santana
Winter Fresh and Akira Ryusaki vs. The Golden Ambush
Nick MacLeod vs. Sanya Markov
Titania vs. SATOMI
The Rising Storm vs. The Wright Stuff
Riccardo De Luca vs. Nic Nitro With only two Proving Ground episodes left before Sky's the Limit, it's time to determine who's going to challenge for the Proving Ground championships... and the night starts off with the first of three Inspire division matchups. Aria Kintelas is getting a shot at qualifying here, but standing in her way is Leona Sterling, who once again has her eyes on the top prize of the division. White Hot has been chosen as one of the four teams hoping to challenge the Yoshida Twins for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships, but they're just one in the mix... and they'll be taking on La Familia, who are aiming to get back on top of the division. Either way, this will set up a showdown with the winner of the Rising Storm vs. Wright Stuff match later in the night at episode 81. Rafael Gallego has been a staple of Proving Ground for a long while, but has never come away with a championship to his name. Here against HAYATO, he looks to finally get a shot at the Top Prospect Championship... but with HAYATO on a surge as of late, does he really have what it takes? Immediately after, Rafael's sister, Gabriela, takes her own shot at a potential title match, as she crosses paths with the always-electric Felice Santana. Expect this to be a potential show-stealer, as these two are remarkable in their fields... that field of pure lucha. There's one other title that needs a contender from Proving Ground as it's defended at episode 81... the Trios Championship. The Foundation is coming, and they'll face the winner of this match, in a clash between the Golden Ambush (looking, of course, to add even more gold to their stable), and the always impressive duo of Winter Fresh teaming up alongside Akira Ryusaki. Can the Top Prospect Champion carry the Ambush to victory, or will one of the most impressive teams in all of Proving Ground set the stage for a major clash? Sanya Markov is getting one more shot at reclaiming the championship he lost to Golden Tiger, but first, he's got to get through an equally-imposing threat in Nick MacLeod. The powerhouse Scot has made it very clear just how dangerous he can be alongside his teammates in the Pride of Scotland, but he'll need to be at his best to stop the former champion. It's been a while since we've seen these two cross paths, and no doubt the animosity between the two hasn't really faded. Titania has been in the background for some time, but she may be looking to make a huge comeback right here against SATOMI... but SATOMI's been a constant presence near the top of the card lately, and she won't make life easy for Titania. The most decorated tag team in Phoenix Rising is gunning for one final rematch with the Yoshida Twins. With the Yoshidas having scored an incredible upset over the Storm to claim the Proving Ground tag titles, Anahera and Xiu Mei Li are intent on getting their revenge... but Amber and Arthur Wright are just as capable, and just as dangerous. Closing out the night, there's simply no doubt that this could be one of the most intense, wild matches in Proving Ground's history. Whatever you do... don't blink. Because Riccardo De Luca and Nic Nitro are absolutely two of the fastest, most dynamic men ever to set foot in a Phoenix Rising ring... and this match is almost certain to go absolutely insane. In addition, word came out of Evergreen the day after Thursday's show... and what we heard does not give Evergreen fans much hope. "This is an announcement... from the man that will now take charge of Evergreen. For one very simple reason... Mercy Devine, for the time being... cannot perform her duties." The smug expression on Tasharun's face tells the story... he's seizing power for himself, without a doubt, having taken out Evergreen's leadership. "And because of that... there may be quite the change of plans coming for Sky's the Limit."
"The HELL there is. How about you shut your mouth for a few moments, big guy, 'cause you can spout off about 'being in charge' all you want." The unmistakable Boston accent from Jennifer Hunter rings out, and she storms into view... looking up at the much taller man with more annoyance than anything else. "Change of plans? Lemme guess, you're gonna try and kick me aside and take MY spot for yourself. FUCK you. That's not how this shit works and you damn well know it."
"You're welcome to dispute it..." Tasharun sneers. "Say, against me in the ring next month. Where I'll make sure you learn exactly what you're getting yourself into. You're in far over your head, little girl, but if you need a demonstration first-hand..."
"I'll give you a hell of a lot more than a fuckin' demonstration when I punch your fucking lights out!" Jennifer practically roars at Tasharun, looking ready to do just that at any moment.
"That's enough." A third voice speaks up... this one a firm, commanding tone that causes both Jennifer and Tasharun to glance over... their eyes falling on the Evergreen Champion, Elly Blackwood. "So this is the plan, huh? Wiped out Royce. Wiped out Mercy. Cut Evergreen's head off and install yourself at the top. I get it... sure. And it could work out for you." Jennifer steps aside as Elly makes her way forward, not quite drawing eye-to-eye with Tasharun... but she's certainly close. "Here's the problem... when one or the other returns, they're going to fuck you up. And that's if I don't do it for them. You really want a shot at me? You really want to step into the ring with the Invincible? Get in fucking line." Elly's attention briefly shifts to Jennifer. "I've got just as much sway as anyone around here right now with this championship around my waist... I could tell you, Tasharun, to fuck off, that you'll never lay eyes on this title again. But I'll strike you a deal. You two clearly want to fight this out. Settle it in the ring. So here's what I'll do: you two have your match at next month's Evergreen. Whoever comes out the other side, you get the match at Sky's the Limit. Simple as that. After that? We'll see what happens." Elly rolls a shoulder, staring Tasharun down. "I'll play along. For now. But mark my words, Tasharun. I'll wipe your ass out if we cross paths again. I won't just beat you. I'll crush you. I'll take your fucking arm off. So you better be ready for it. More than you've ever been before." With that, Elly walks away, leaving the other two in silence.
